Hats off to Jain community for doing this Sewa of feeding thousands of pigeons on Gandhi beach, I don’t know from how many years.... Religiously feeding pigeons cost huge.. But they are been doing this selflessly... Had a chance to catch A white pigeon among other pigeons..... used my Canon DSLR camera. Morning time around 6.30am-7am. Jus before Gandhi Beach... Visitors to donate and feed pigeons.. Would suggest to voluntarily come forward and donate for such beautiful cause.... I have seen Jain community volunteers take batch by batch their duties daily.... Once again Big Thanks to Jain community 🙏🏻

Great beach this. So Im lying there covered in fish paste waiting for the Gulls to take me away when im approached by a woman brandishing a mango and towing an 8 year old child. Explaining in Hindi the kind woman informed me of an injured Gull and reminded me that as the unchallenged Gull King of Chennai it was my duty to help the bird in any way I could. Dusting paste from my eyelids I made my way to their encampment. The Gull was in a 8litre cool box (blue) and was absolutley losing its mind. Using my calming techniques (see website for further details) I reduced the birds anxiety and made my examination. The wing had been injured during flight but a quick splint and my patented rectum thumb rub soon had the bird in a much more relaxed state. I handed the majestic gull back to the woman and child and made my way back to my stone circle. Before I left though I was handed the mango and we sang the song of the Gull in perfect unison. Caw.

Main beach area and it is under the Marina beach Chennai. If you come for Marina beach it's awesome but also try Gandhi beach. For better experience And the maximum crowd is here because of the main entrence is here and the main road from nungambakkam is lie here . So, the maximum crowd is here . Cherry Pudding :- All the modern shop are here . And statue of Mahatama Gandhi is make awesome appearence. And the I love Chennai borad also near the Mahatma Gandhi statue

Had a great Evening here. Street foods are quite delicious especially Bhelpuri at the entrance. Place was quite overcrowded but had a relaxing and refreshing vibe. Recommend to go in late evening or early morning to get best view and environment.

Loved the place and people.. TN is clean and the roads are amazing. There are lots of food items to eat on beach. Do try the fried pakoda's

Gandhi Beach...

The beach has opened almost back to normalcy and unfortunately the dirt has returned too. It's actually a beautiful beach that is quickly being polluted again as waste is not controlled and people re constantly dumping more things. If there is some thought for clean up, this would be a beautiful space to keep visiting. I love the sea and I visit loads of beaches all the time.

Best beach.. Its so huge one.. So much space to walk, play, eat and enjoy. For morning walkers and for kids it will be so good. And in beach people do play cricket and other games. Horse ride will be available. Parking is available. Overall best place in Chennai. One must definitely visit the beach.

Saturday was little bit crowded and I liked the roads been very cleaned and tidy but not the shore that much. I really liked the sun set very much. Compared to others, Gandhi beach is clean an tidy.

This is a place where I used to go morning walk. On One side of Gandhi Beach, Marina beach is situated and on the other side beach continues to the end. This is not so clean as it can be kept by Chennai Metropolitan authorities. By the side of this beach Marina beach is kept clean and well managed. However just for morning walk it has a nice length but not a good scenery. You should avoid morning and evening time visit as it is used by the fish hunter for their freshness.

This place is nice for evening walk as a sidewalk is made for those who particularly come for walking here and you can see a lot of people here in the evening. Although the beach is quite popular but not so busy on weekdays. Also there are police guards everywhere so no need to worry about safety here. There are good number of places to eat around this place and are open after the sunset so you can grab a bite after a walk.

A beach just beside the busy road of the city! How cool is that! A very busy place it seems to be. So many people visits there everyday. Mobile food courts are available around it. This beach is kept clean as well. Well managed. Since it's just beside the city, people comes here every now and then. Didn't see people having a sea bath though. The tides there seems to be strong enough. Happy to visit this place. Will visit the other beaches around it next time.

Kottivakkam/palavakkam beach is perfectly developed wih an association but not the beach road. morning people engaged with gymnastics, walking, jogging, people plays cricket, volleyball. Feel good . Park is nearby you can visit at the same time.

Clean Beach. This beach is open for public (un-officially) even in this COVID restrictions. Police knew people are coming still they don't restrict to allow some relaxation for the public (as of oct 2020). Felt very safe. We stayed there till 9.30 PM. Still felt safe. Lot of families were there when we went. Decent parking space. No restrooms, No Shops, No lights. Get any eatables before going there (but pls don't litter there. Lets spare atleast this beach). So basically this is not a regular beach outing place. But alternate for Thiruvanmiyur beach during this lockdown phase. Surely an asset.
