Pure pride ! This is currently Asia’s only Naval Aviation Museum. It is well maintained . Any aviation enthusiast or a commoner could feel the excitement on seeing original aircrafts which are though dysfunctional in the museum but have served our country with glory. The museum even shows 15 minutes video to showcase the Navy’s important role for our Country. The museum also depicts the aviation history in an engaging manner using graphics , boards etc. A must visit.

I think I expected more showcase in terms of the exhibits in the open area. Most of them were very old models and also I feel many museums like this often offer something experiential to the visitors which was again missing here. The exhibits inside was very well displayed, neatly for everyone to understand but it spoke more about aviation as a whole and not just about Goa or the region around which would have given a much deeper insight into the local affairs. Anyways, it's good for a one-time visit

The best thing about this place is that it is nearby airport. Either you are leaving or arriving, you can visit this place. Very important thing to notice is that you need to have convenience to travel from here as there is no way to commute. Either you can book taxi and stop here for while then go. It is the place where you can see different models of aeroplanes, warships, dress codes and also about our navy history.

The entry fee is 100/- per person. Museum has multiple planes and helicopters placed in the vicinity, with engines placed inside closed compartments. Each of them have a small board explaining the use and service they gave to the naval force. Inside you'll also find information and images of Indian Naval Aviation's contribution towards the wars fought by Indian defense forces and the history of Naval Aviation, bautifully explained by boards placed within a room. You will also find miniature model of various helicopters, planes and aircraft carriers which have been in service of Indian Forces or have been decommissioned. At the end of tour, three videos are shown on a projector about the soldiers of the Indian Naval Aviation Forces.

It is a amazing place, you will not find such museum s in India. There is one Naval ship open for public in Diu. You should include this in your itinerary for Goa. It will look around 1-2 hours to see everything. Bring your children as well to create interest in science and Navy. One thing I noticed, There is no cash counter anywhere. You have to pay online for entry ticket, also in sovereign shops. You can buy kitchens and t-shirts from sovereign shop, they are good quality.

Get awestruck by the amazing collection of The Naval Aviation Museum where you can witness the true essence of Military. This amazing museum is a must visit tourist place in Goa and lies in the vicinity of Vasco da Gama. Here, one can see real Helicopters, Aircraft, Fighter Jets and learn about their history. The museum is a combination of two parts, one is the outdoor regions which exhibits the evolution of the Indian Naval Air Arms and, another is the double-storey indoor gallery. The Naval Aviation Museum is the only of its kind in Asia. The outer region is a large park which has 13 aircraft in total namely, Sea Harrier, HAL Chetak, Westland Sea King and many more such decommissioned aircraft. This place should be in everyone's list while you are in Vasco, Goa. Public transport is there but not till the museum. Hence the only option is to take own transport or hire a private vehicle to reach this place. Location - very closer to Dabolim airport Museum is very well planned with each and every exhibit of Navy maintained really well. While the aircraft's and engines are placed outdoors, it's really worth getting in and understanding the journey of Indian Navy which is there inside the museum. There is a show too to help us understand how Indian Navy was felicitated by our President. One can easily spend around 2 hours here. Restrooms are available. There is a cafe inside the museum for refreshments. There is a souvenir shop too to take home some good souvenirs of Indian Navy like T-shirts, Mugs, key chains, caps and many more. Worth visiting while in Vasco, Goa

The Indian Naval Aviation Museum is a unique attraction in Goa that showcases the history and achievements of the Indian Naval Air Arm. The museum is located near the Dabolim Airport, and is easily accessible by road or public transport. The museum has two main sections: an outdoor exhibit and a two-storey indoor gallery. The outdoor exhibit displays 13 decommissioned aircraft that have served in the Indian Navy, such as the Breguet Alizé, the BAe Sea Harrier, the de Havilland Vampire, and the Kamov Ka-25. The aircraft are well-maintained and some of them can be entered by visitors. The outdoor exhibit also features various aircraft engines and armaments, such as bombs, torpedoes, and cannons. The indoor gallery has several rooms that depict different aspects of the naval aviation, such as the uniforms, the insignia, the awards, and the operations. The gallery also has models of the aircraft carriers INS Vikrant and INS Viraat, which are the pride of the Indian Navy. The gallery has interactive exhibits, such as a flight simulator, a cockpit mock-up, and a photo booth. The museum is a must-visit for aviation enthusiasts, history buffs, and patriotic citizens. The museum is open from 10 am to 5 pm on all days except Mondays. The entry fee is Rs. 40 for adults and Rs. 20 for children. The museum also has a souvenir shop and a cafeteria. My Google Map review for the Indian Naval Aviation Museum is: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I visited the Indian Naval Aviation Museum with my family and we had a great time. If you are interested in Naval Aviation history, this is the place to be. There are several old planes and helicopter models kept as you enter. 3 beautiful engines of different class and time. A timeline pre and post Independence history and several other things. There is also a souvenir shop where you could buy badges, keychain, tshirt, etc. There is a VR flight simulator which you can play on, the simulator may be shut for 1/2 hour in the noon. The souvenirs aren't expensive unless you go for a scaled model.

Amazing nice place to visit. Consists of old helicopters🚁 and aeroplanes ✈ which were used in past by the Navy. Having various models too. There's also a little theater inside it, but it is close these days due to some less tourists. U can also buy navy stickers, t-shirts and badges and key chains ⛓ from here. Overall Navy has a big impact on Goa🪨🌟

A great outing with small children who enjoyed the different types of display planes and helicopters which they would have only seen on TV/ Internet. The could sense the real size of each of them including the display missiles. It wont take more 1.5 hours. Hence plan the trip at around 3 or 4ish in the evening as it gets v difficult to roam across as the sun is beating hard! A good 2 hour outing

This is a must visit place for aircraft enthusiasts. The Indian Naval Museum (2.0) is maintained by the Indian Navy. It primarily consists of an outdoor exhibit area and a two-storey indoor gallery. The museum also has a room showcasing different aircraft engines, a cafeteria, a souvenir shop and a virtual reality gallery. Main exhibits in this museum includes a Kamov K25 helicopter, Sea Harrier FA2 (one of few planes capable of vertical take off and vertical landing), Bréguet 1050 Alizé (than can fold it's as), and Lockheed Constellation.

The museum has an open space where aircraft’s are parked - helicopters, fighter jets, bombers and patrolling planes. Entry fee is Rs 100. There is a VR simulation game along with motion sensor seat recently installed - a must play if you are a gamer. There is also an Engine Bay which houses engine replica of fighter jet and describes the functioning of an engine. Apart from this, there is museum which describes brief history about naval aviation. There is a short documentary room which plays the documentary at 11am and 3pm. There is an AC cafe as well serving meals at economical rates.

This place is on the way to Bogmalo beach. A nice place to visit once, gives a nice glimpse of Evolution of Indian Naval Aviation and definitely makes one proud of our Naval forces' achievements. The models of aircraft placed in this museum are something that one should definitely check out at least once in their lifetime. Tickets are reasonably priced at the same time their souvenir shop is also good in terms of available souvenirs for visitors. They have decently clean washrooms and also have a cafeteria in case you want to grab a bite while touring the museum. Since this museum is located right adjacent to Naval Station you will also get glimpses of combat aircraft flying over occasionally. While this is completely unrelated but if you love watching birds this place has a good bird population due to adjoining forest, we got to see eagles soaring in the sky right above us. If you have rented a bike or a car then they also have a spacious parking lot for your vehicle which is free of cost.

Considering the state of museums in India, I would rate this a full 5 star. The entry fee is 100 INR for an adult. The indoor arrangement is really good and upto a good museum standard. The airplanes outside can do with a good regular maintenance since some of them are coming apart a bit. I also loved the movie on show. There are four show times throughout the day and exhibit quite a well made story mode about Naval details. Overall a must visit if you are in the vicinity.

I was lucky enough to pay this place a visit on my trip to Goa. It is little known attraction near to the airport. In fact it is the only one of its kind in India. The cost is minimal, although there is an extra even smaller charge for a camera license. Was bigger, and better laid out than I had expected, and is a good history of Indian Naval Aviation. Lots of retired aircraft on static display, as well as various aero engines and missiles etc. There is a café, and well maintained toilet facilities. Lots of parking is also available. Despite the midday heat it was an enjoyable few hours of mostly unknown aviation history. If you are an enthusiast, or even have a mild interest. It’s a great excuse to do something away from the beach for a few hours.

This is a naval aviation museum . "NAVAL" means navy not Army. Please uneducated people refrain from giving reviews on google and avoid misleading the people. This place is one of the locations tagged as beyond-beaches in Goa. It has outside gallery with real aircrafts and engines on display, while inside the 2 floor building is more of replicas and very few real items, and good amount of history presented as picture of writings. There is a entry fee, they even charge for carrying mobile camera and digital camera; however, even if you don;t buy tickets for camera there was nobody to check. I regretted my decision to buy ticket for mobile camera. The ticket office has lot of souvenirs for display, but most of them were not available for buying; that's very sad. They have good parking space and a mini restaurant with samosa, patty, and biscuits and chips, and water. I was lucky to watch some of the fighter planes passing over; probably the airforce station was nearby. The museum needs 2 things to increase the foot falls- keep some souvenirs for sale, and assign some guides who can share with us some of the interesting facts. Everything is written in front of the display but if somebody explains things become interesting. I enjoyed the glory of Indian Naval Aviation but disappointed that I could not carry any souvenirs

A fine display of the naval air assets of the Indian Navy since independence. There are several aircraft on display including antisubmarine warfare helicopters, combat aircraft and transport aircraft. There is large model of INS Viraat. Overall, the displays are good. However, there are a few maintenance issues and some things are not maintened in tip top form.

One of the best and only naval aviation museum in Asia where they have kept live planes, choppers, engines of those planes with submarine monitoring equipments, torpedos, bombs, and other items etc. They charge 50rs per person and 15 rs fo mobile. Or else you get locker facilities to keep your items. You have got canteen located right inside the premises. Best place to get knowledge about aviation planes.

The Naval Aviation Museum parks Helicopters, Jets and Aircrafts or the like which were used during fights or training sessions of the Indian Navy. The torpedoes, submarines, sea weapons previously used are now kept here with info about their use, power, type, capacity, make and model. It has historic facts about a lot of our Missions and attempts which is fun to know. It's a visual ride through the past and present of Indian Navy. It's a good tourist destination, worth a watch.

Awesome aviation museum in Goa. Its got decommissioned aircrafts on display. There's a cafe and souvenir store inside. Easily accessible and loads of parking space.

  • 5/5 Ashish S. 2 years ago on Google
This place is a heaven for aviation enthusiasts (especially naval aviation). Please note that naval aviation is very different from airforce. Even though the indoor museum was closed but the outdoor section was open. The outdoor section contained all the aircrafts ,missiles and engines with their descriptions which is a treasure trove of knowledge for aviation and defence enthusiasts.

Yes it's in TripAdvisor's top 10 places in Goa. But lower your expectations, it's not that worth. This is a typical Indian museum where exhibits are repainted and not in their original form. You can be rest assured that the only place where this Indian Naval Aviation Museum is worth every penny is in the room of history on the Ground floor. Images attached. Goosebumps. Literally goosebumps. Go through my images. Per adult it costs - ₹100 they allow photography. Ample space for parking. And do not eat or drink at the cafe on premises. Waste of money.

A good place visit at goa. It's old but good. Entry ticket cost 100 per head. You can find all history air Vechile here. Lot things to know how all were done by late ages. A museum of history, but need patience to read all those. You can spend roughly 3hrs there. There's an AC hotel inside where you have snack or food at right price. It opens by 10 so try to be there at right time

visiting after a decade and should say, things have changed for good.. its relatively a small walk around and not sure if there is a scope for adding more decommissioned vehicles. Civilian Entry for adult is 100 and kids above 5 is 50. For defence personal and dependents is free and for exservice men and the dependents is 50 for adults and 25 for kids above 5.

This place is a great place to visit to know about the history of Indian Naval Aviation history. The museum and information inside is just as impressive as the exhibit outside. What an excellent array of Aircraft and helicopters. This place is an absolute must visit in Goa. They also have a very good cafe/restaurant on site. Food served there is also very good. Restaurant is called glass cockpit. We went there as a family 2 adults and 2 children (4 years). The kids enjoyed this place as they could see the airplanes and helicopters.

The entry fee is 100/person. Good display of aircraft with details. They showed a small 15min video with to understand the bravery of Marines and aviation system, awards owned by which person n which award. Please carry your water bottle along as I couldn't find drinking water facility. The toilet was also not clean.

It’s one of the best places I have ever visited. This is one of a kind and only Naval Aviation Museum which gives you knowledge about the Indian Navy. Flying fighter jet on simulator is a once in a life time experience and is a must to do activity along with watching the Short Naval movie.
