Parts imported from hungary and various regions and gets assembled here in chennai head office. it is the only Grundfos assembly plant in Southern region with various sales supports offices in and around main cities of southern part. they demonstrate with all pumps they manufacture in grundfos various regions of world. we can see all models here. cut pumps are avilable here to see pumps nomenclature. parts get assembled at various stages. also they have testing arrangement of pumps in the plant. Also have CED (cathodic Electrolyte deposition) plant in their location for pumps paintijng and protection from rust and all. as they say this is 1st palnt in india which has CED paint booth for Pumps. They developed large gardening area. In house gym is available in the plant. contiuous music goes on to keep employees engaged in work. Well organized and sysytemetic assembly plant with all around epoxy flooring and continuously house keeping monitoring guys. can say one of the best maintained plant ever i visited. It has canteen which is running by Grundfos itself.

I purchase a motor Grundfos 2HP smart sub through authorised distributor 2-3 years back. The motor is fully rusted outside and the motor lifting hooks dissolved in metro water. Service is very very poor. The service people from Grundfos saying it is only scaling not rusting. Then where is the motor lifting hooks. They are simply saying the castor part of the pump gets dissolved in water. Then why should we buy Grundfos immersible water. We can buy local one. The people in grundfos service is non-cooperative.

Worst pumps for Indian environment very complicated installation and very bad customer support. Think twice before investing in Grundfos products which are 2 times costlier than same products available in the market.
