This restaurant has good variety of vegetarian food. Also Asian and Jain cuisine. Tried Kadak Sheek for starters Its a veg sheek, rich in taste & has a good coating of cripy layers. For the main dish,North Indian Thali would be a good option, served with veg biriyani, paneer butter masala, sabja, Gobi 65, papad, one Gulab Jamun and momos. It’s a very filling lunch and tasted so good. vegetable biryani Has a good taste. Also tried their Paneer Taka Tak with butter Naan. It was very soft and , Panner was good innovative dish, it has more Paneer with capsicum and onion more it’s like a Kadai Paneer but with a different masala. 💸 Price 100/- for 2 Overal rating 4/5

No taste food. Ordered 3 main course one after other and all are disappointing. Broccoli soup was disaster. Tandoori momo not good. 3 main course not good. Few items from menu are not served. The restaurant is not serious about business. They are making joke out of food. No wonder the restaurant is almost empty on a weekend. Wouldn’t go there second time. Compared to Namma Veedu and VB world signature is 1/10.

Vb Signature is an absolute must try if you enjoy delicious vegetarian food. I absolutely loved the Pumpkin Soup, Ghee roast Paneer satay, Veg keema Tacos for Starters. Main course I tried their signature dish Idiappam Sodi which was served in a very unique way, a must try. Dessert Nitrogen Basundi was served in style by the chef. I had a wonderful dining experience. Star giving 5/5.

A Culinary Gem with Room for Improvement Nestled within a vibrant setting, this restaurant tantalizes taste buds with its delicious fare, but falls short in the realm of service. Food:Undoubtedly, the food here is a highlight. Each dish bursts with flavor, showcasing the culinary prowess of the chefs and leaving diners satisfied. Service: Unfortunately, the dining experience is marred by lackluster service. While the staff is courteous, there's a noticeable lag in attentiveness and efficiency. Improvements in this area are crucial to elevate the overall dining experience. Ambiance:On a brighter note, the ambiance of the restaurant is captivating. Whether it's the chic decor, soothing background music, or cozy lighting, every aspect contributes to a delightful dining atmosphere. In conclusion, this restaurant presents a tantalizing culinary journey amidst a charming ambiance. However, a significant overhaul in service is imperative to truly fulfill its potential and provide guests with a memorable dining experience.

Went here for a family lunch (13 members) The ambience and seating was great. Shankar and Karthi served us. Both courteous staff. The plating of the dishes were great. The food we ordered were great, both in taste and quantity. The menu has amazing variety of dishes. I recommend this place.

This is a purely a Vegetarian Restaurant right on the Nungambakkam High road and easily approachable. It's called Vasantha Bhavan Signature Progressive probably to hint at the higher cost and also to show its decor and lavish ness from the normal Vasantha Bhavan! You get South Indian Tiffin varieties, plus North Indian, Italian, Continental, Chinese varieties of food. You also get SI Thali at Rs.225, North Indian at 275 and Asian Meals at 275. You can order a la carte items too. Taste of food is satisfactory. Lot of space is there to accommodate more people. Of course the cost is a bit higher but not much. Ambience is very good, waiters are soft spoken but services can be improved a bit. Parking space is available for a few vehicles, payment can be made by cash or digital mode.

A nice pure vegetarian restaurant. Good ambience. Can accomodate a lot of people. They do offer a lot of varieties. The hotel is neat and clean. Behavior of staff is also good. Food is also good and tasty. The cost seems to be on a higher side. Quality of food is also great. Can park some four wheelers in front of the restaurant.

We visited this place 3-4 times during our stay in Chennai (The Belstead Hotel). We tried several different dishes and all were sumptuous. We were served By Mr. Reet who was courteous and also customized menu as per our needs. We had a baby on board and the entire staff was very accommodative in understanding our needs. Whenever I am in Chennai and close to this place, I will certainly visit again. 👍🏽

VB Signature is a progressive vegetarian restaurant in Nungambakkam, Chennai. It is a popular spot for both locals and tourists, and is known for its innovative and delicious vegetarian cuisine. The restaurant has a modern and stylish ambiance, and the staff are friendly and attentive. I recently had the pleasure of dining at VB Signature, and I was very impressed. The food was excellent, the service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great vegetarian dining experience in Chennai. Here are some of the things I liked about VB Signature: The food is creative and flavorful. I especially enjoyed the crispy momos, the coconut soup, and the tandoori momos. The service is friendly and attentive. The staff are knowledgeable about the menu and can make recommendations based on your preferences. The atmosphere is modern and stylish. The restaurant is clean and well-maintained, and has a comfortable and inviting ambiance. Overall, I had a very positive experience at VB Signature and would definitely recommend it to others. Here are some additional details about the restaurant: The restaurant is located at 52, 103 Nungambakkam High Road, Nungambakkam, Chennai 600034. The restaurant is open from 7:00 AM to 11:30 PM, seven days a week. The average cost for two people is ₹1,000. The restaurant has a variety of vegetarian options, including North Indian, South Indian, and Chinese cuisine. The restaurant is air-conditioned and has a live screening facility. Food taste is good . I don't know why everyone has telling so well on the food taste. Quantity was ok ok. Service is good and the ambience is good. The good part is it will open till 1 AM. I went at 12 AM and all the dishes were available. At that time they didn't have AC on.

Good place to have breakfast. The only place which has buffet for breakfast that I come across. One of the best service from the workers. The ambience is great. The place has quite & cosy atmosphere. I've recently ordered Panneer Dosa & Ghee podi dosa separately. I thought the taste will be much more good when both get mixed. So I asked the attender to try that for me. He immediately said ok without any hesitation. I loved that breakfast a lot.

VB Signature is a branch of Namma Veedu Vasantha Bhavan that offers a fine dining experience with their unique dishes curated to satisfy the taste buds of the vegetarian crowd. Apart from their usual thalis they have some unique dishes on their menu. During my visit here, I ordered their South Indian and North Indian Thalis. It's a scrumptious and fulfilling meal. A good number of side items were offered with the thalis. A contemporary ambience with dim lighting enhanced the dining experience. Since it is located on the busy Nungambakkam high road, finding a parking spot might be a little difficult as the space for cars is limited.

This is a great place, if you are not in a hurry. Their pumpkin soup was out of this world! Loved the garlic naan, lotus stem kadhi, and the spread in the south Indian thhali. The ambience is very pleasant. Will definitely visit again to try their other dishes.

The place was recommended by our driver before we headed for sight seeing around Chennai. I won't say it was the best but it was decent enough. Idli vada, dosa and coffee. Coffee cups need an upgrade as they look old.

I ordered a broccoli and cheddar soup along with a veg platter at the restaurant. The soup was great, and I enjoyed the pleasant ambiance and comfortable seating. However, I found the food to be a bit bland in taste, which was disappointing. What bothered me the most was the high cost of the meal, considering I hardly had anything to fill my stomach. If the portion size was more substantial and the prices more reasonable, I would have recommended this place. But overall, my experience was mixed due to the small portions and high cost.

Awesome food with great ambiance and service. Especially for veggies who feel there is not much of an options plz try this place... Do not be deceived by the name VB, it's surely a different place with a completely revamped menu... On the pricing point you can neither say nominal nor very high as there r few items priced only based on it's creativity n not on it's quality/quantity. Overall it's a good place to visit with friends n family.

No water in restroom. Tissue holder is rusted. Taste is ok. They have me regular veg noodles in the name of chilli garlic noodles. Curd rice is Rs. 261. Insane prices! I would never recommend this place nor return.

This is a famous brand in chain of veg restaurants in this chennai city. I'm basically a breakfast lover, who wish to eat pongal, dosai, vadai, sambhar and coffee. The main attraction of this place is it's ambience. So good to eat. So this morning decided to visit this place. To my surprise here is no mini tiffen on thier menu so was disappointed. Hence ordered ghee dosai, dosai was average but again sambhar was disappointing, it was not of good consistency and water was added. This made me felt that I took a wrong decision of coming to this place. Next was coffee again would like not appreciate it. Only I appreciate their ambience. Cost is on the higher side.

Visited with the hesitation of higher prices but it was an affordable menu. I just loved the authenticity of every dish. Ghee Pongal and Ghee Roast, my God! I could smell the ghee and see it too ❤ Medium Vada was perfect, Idly and Sambar 🔥 Had a little disappointment with the Onion Rava, may I was already full or the Onion Rava was oily. But I will visit again after a morning drive ❤

Worst food ever ..No salt No taste ! Ordered panneer biriyani, got gobi biriyani when asked for replacement just replaced gobi with panneer and gave the same dish. Another important signature thing here is they won't bring water as you go there .you have to order water and wait for atleast 15 to 30 min for water to come to your table.

It is after multiple visits, with different set of people, to this so called "progressive" restaurant, I am writing this review, so be assured that this review is not some lame attempt to defame a good restaurant, just because they didn't dance to my tunes. First visit.. the ambience is good. Somehow creates an assurance that the we have come to a good establishment, the menu looked good.. very innovative with names and terms of the dishes that supported the claim "progressive." I mean how bad can a restaurant with such legacy get. But oh boy, do they surprise you.. the coffee was burnt, I am talking about heavy roasted coffee beans here..the milk was burnt while boiling it and somehow they imagined that coffee would mask the taste. and the rava dosa served was scraped batter dripping with oil. AND the dosa was burnt too. I just dropped a suggestion at the reception to check the milk once and left. when it comes to lunch, their whole charade goes off limits. The trio of flavoured rices came to our table in a steel carrier box, like the good old times was amusing, what upset us was the contents of it. Lacked basic flavours and let's not even talk about taste. When we ordered Tandoori Rotis at 1.45pm we were told tandoor was not ready, it would be 15 to 20 mins before they can make rotis and Naans. So we settled to Phulkas. and ordered daal makhani. The daal makhani I had to eat is the reason behind this long narration. It was PATHETIC. there was no MAKHAN in that for sure. Compensating with extra load of cream making it brownish white. Diluted to an extent where the beans are separated from the liquids. It looked pathetic and tasted pathetic. The north Indian thali they served us during one of our quick luncheons made us wonder how this restaurant had some 5 star reviews. The finishing touch is even more guffawing. The older chap who waited on our table almost all the 4 to 5 times we visited was upset that we didn't tip him. I was wondering why I was paying the bill in the first place for such horrifying food experience. But the place didn't seem to have a manager or a person who cared about all this. It is a place forsaken for chance. What started as an innovative attempt towards creating culinary experiences is destroyed to shambles that is yet to gwt their BASICS right. Never ever gonna visit the place again. you WILL NOT enjoy it. Actually ENJOY is a far fetched word for this place. Is there a way where I can grab all their stars instead of giving them 1 star. This place doesn't deserve Stars.

  • 2/5 Proctoor S. 2 years ago on Google
Ordered a South Indian thali. Seems it was unlimited but I was never asked for any second serving. The orders were placed before us not once the waiters came back to enquire. The quality was mediocre and not upto the repute held by the hotel. Seems the pandemic had not touched VB but has definitely obliterated the Signature.

We loved the south indian lunch we had here. Very palatable. The ambience appeared dated and even unkempt. The restaurant should consider renovating their dining area. 4 stars for their food, but only 2 stars for the maintenance of their dining space...

Tried Tandoori Momos, Blue Cheese Naan with Dal Makhani Shots here and they're okay. Filter Coffee Soda was not good though. Also, prices are high for the quantity of food served. Actually wanted to try Upma Polenta, Open Puff Pastry Pizza, Milan to Madras dessert here but none of them were available! Disappointed!

Very slow in service, we ordered Paneer Dhum Briyani but it tasted like tomato rice. Again I have to mention, the service is very slow. We ordered coffee and again waited for more than 15 minutes for that. But there was not that crowd that time. Finally we have waited for the bill too....😭😭😭😭 We lost our passion....

A good, comfortable and rich in ambience restaurant. Highly recommended for family and friends who want to spend their quality time. Higher price rates. Also ensure to get your meal served on time.

Excellent food And Uber creative . the souls are the best I've had anywhere in Chennai including 5 star hotels. Love the fusion. Of Indian food with western concepts. Only thukpa was out of line. Yet to taste other south east Asian food. Must try place in the heart of nungambakkam

One best dine in experience! They are even ready to prep things which are not in the menu- we requested them for GOBI 65, the taste was so apt and we loved it. Overall experience was great, we loved every dish we ordered. Service can be bit faster.

We were extremely delighted dining in VB signature Nungambakkam. The staffs were so kind and welcoming. Food was beautifully served and tasted really good. Additionally we were celebrating spinster party there, they were so kind enough to share the restaurant space for our celebration and provided us extra cutleries also for the cake. I really appreciate Prakash for his kind attitude towards us.

😠 The food was good and the service was great. But I am giving a single star review because of an incident. I witnessed the person who was moping the floors stick his hand into the ingredients containers and eat the food. With the other hand he was still holding the mop which he was holding just a few...

👍👍 Very good place for vegeterian dishes A very good place for vegeterian dishes. Parotta would be very nice. North Indian dishes would taste very authentic. Positives: Tasty food Can be better:More options Negatives: Attitude of person taking order and Eco unfriendly cutlery.
