Nice food with a homely taste. Not very spicy. Pongal, poori masala, Idly vadacurry, medhu vadai, cutlet, medhu bonda, onion bajji are all good. Kesari is of perfect texture. The vadai, bonda, bajji and poori were not oily and tasted really good. Quantity is more than enough for a single serving. Really Worth the money!

Well suited restaurant for a vegan who loves to have variety of dishes in a single place, budget friendly ofcourse as there is small combos which also served well. The restaurant is pure veg as the street the restaurant is placed known as vegan street as people there are mostly vegetarian. They provide each meal at each time, the average meal cost per head is maximum 50.

During my school days, this place was legendary but I feel it has lost its shine. Service quality was bad, I ordered something but received different dish. Paneer Fried rice was too bland, couldn’t get the aroma of fresh veggies and basmati rice but quantity wise it’s fine. Taste of paneer manchurian is fine but Paneer was little bit hard and chewy. I liked the Mysore bonda with chutney and Sambar, it’s worth for the money.

Salary is irregular and they vent their grievance on the customer. The rowdious behavior of the owner deserves severe condemnation. Never order tandoori or noodles. Their chef are naive and inexperienced.

A very good place for having budget friendly food. It has a lot of good vegetarian options along with nice combo offers as well. This place is also pretty well known for its Rose milk which is pretty tasty. Overall, this is a good restaurant with a combination of North Indian as well as South Indian items. The delivery speed was very slow at times which they seem to have rectified in the recent past.

This restaurant is an extention of Bakya in the station view road and Jaishankar Street. The ambiance is good and the taste will remain the same as other Bakya restaurants. They have more varies to offer when compared to other restaurants. Parking for 2 wheeler will not be an issue but 4 wheeler will be an issue. If you want to have a calm and peacefully seated dining with the same Bakya food you can visit this place.

Excellent taste and value for money. I have been visiting this place ever since I was a teenager. 15 years on still this place retains its charm. Even after the lockdown, all their items are tasting similar as it was years back. Their best items are mixed fried rice, chola poori, chapati, naan with paneer butter masala. A must visit hotel in west Mambalam. Order waiting time is also very less even though the hotel was fully crowded. Wonder how they managed. Food is served hot and fresh.

I ordered a butter naan and paneer butter masala through swiggy, and they made both delivery boy and me wait for 1 hour for food and they made silly excuses.. Don't trust this shop.. They destroyed my whole mood.. Such a useless restaurant with utter waste time and money.. The packaging was truly laughable.. 🤮🤮

We should not call as biriyani it should called as yellow rice without salt and chilli. Panner is very hard to chew. Chilli Gobi is half cooked. There is no taste at all. A Pure Veg Restaurant Around West Mambalam Where They Serve North,South And Indo Chinese Dishes..

This small restaurant is also our must visit before pandemic days. After a long time, we visited this place and had good snacks for the evening. The place is cosy and small. The cost is less compared to other eateries in that area.

See, the food taste is good, the price is fare, but when we come to sit most of the tables are not at all clean, which creates a big doubt, if you guys not cleaning the table on the first place how can I trust you about the food making process is also in the clean manner, here I can't go like don't judge a book by its Cover! See I want you guys to grow so please look into all small petty things too, make sure clean and clear, create the trust in the customers mind then only you people can able move forward in a good phase towards success...

Worst experience, the parcel servicing guy doesn't have any manners, talks rudely to customers. Shouts at customers for no reason, even if you ask for a spoon!.... Allbeit the Gulab Jamun was good. Need to teach the waiter to have some patience and train them on how/where to pour sambar. The watered down Vadacurry doesn't merit it's 40rs cost.

Good decent place to eat with affordable budget

This used to be wonderful place. About twelve years ago when my I was alone in Chennai, I had eaten here three times a day for about six months. It was a pleasant, clean, value for money food joint. Recently the owners have sold their property in Jaishankar Street, and have opened outlets in station road. They must have good money all these years and from the sale of the property. They are not bothered about business earning anymore. The Bakya opposite the Ambur briyani shop is popularly known as the Gay Bakya (the kind of young boys working there). The other Bakya inside a side street is known as the Ghost Bakya( Always dark and empty). They are both unclean, unpredictable, oily & salty food with unwashed stinky staff who have rude behaviour. There is sufficient room for competition but who can afford the rentals of these days. So no new competitors apart from roadside shops.

Worst place ever …no manners or anything. I placed an order in Swiggy for a dish it showed as available. My house is nearby and it should not take more than 20 mins. The order took 1.5 hours. When called the restaurant did not answer, when called the delivery partner he said the dish is not ready yet and this how this restaurant does every time. They say order is ready and collect the money and make both the delivery partner and customer wait unnecessarily. Personally going to advise my friends and relatives not to buy from this hotel. Went here this morning and ordered Pongal and coffee. Both Pongal and coffee felt they were kept in the fridge. Only 6 to 7 customers were there that time and service was so slow. Doubt very much if the management is bothered about giving poor service and getting bad reviews. Hope they improve

Running a restaurant in a small place is so hard, I understand that but as a customer I expect the service to be quick! 99% I used to get take aways only. While waiting for my parcel, I've seen how hard it is to manage that place as a business and how uncomfortable it is to eat there as a customer.. Food quality is good. foods served were getting bad feedback live one after another, they didnt seem to manage the bad smell emanating from the opening under one of the tables. Needs more cleanliness and service to each table.
