Wide variety of veg options at reasonable price. Few things stood out during the visit, excellent ambience, super fast servings, cleanliness and service. The ambience is neat and clean, spacious for a dine in experience. Almost less than 10 to 15 mins for most of the dishes even during peak hours. The food items were good, the soup, starters, breads and side dishes. Taste wise one can't complain or experience any mouthwatering dishes, everything seems to be normal with less spicy suites for all. Overall a decent veg restaurant for a group or family.

Astoria Breakfast is the best deal loaded with delicious variety of tiffin. Vada Pongal kesari idly masaldosa poori masala with 2-3 variety of chutney and sambar with a coffee... Bet you can't get anything better than this and all for 100₹. Highly receptive and the place is maintained neat and highly hygiene...

SLUGGISH behaviour of waiters. I ordered Kadai Paneer & Roti. Taste was not good, but food was fresh to some extend. To make the taste better i asked for lemon & raw onion. Had to tell 2-3 times to 2 different waiters. Very sluggish attitude they were maintaining. Finally when i was about to finish eating the lemon & onions arrived. The waiter was taking it very casually & replying that its told to someone inside to bring it. Parking is available just outside the premises. Neat & clean wash area & well maintained premises. I dont know about the taste & quality of south indian dishes, since i went only one time.

I visited this restaurant on a Sunday afternoon for lunch with a confirmed reservation. I ended up having a bad experience and argument with the manager named Mr.Vasu. Firstly I assumed that this was a fine dining restaurant, which is not the case. It is just that they have named it fine dining. When I had my lunch with my partner, they suddenly brought in another family to share the table without even asking us. When I asked the manager he told that I have to adjust since it was a busy Sunday afternoon and reservations are only for seats and not for tables. The hotel was like a canteen and not like a fine dining. Since it was busy I did not argue. I have attached the picture of fine dining restaurant view I had , where they have not even cleared the plate of other family that had the food. After my lunch I went back and discussed demanding I have to meet the manager or any other debit/responsible employee.. I waited for 10 mins , no one bothered to answer and finally told no such persons are available.. the manager was very rude and he argued as if we are fighting for money .. Overall a very poor and a bad experience.. Food was good and the serving staff were very polite.. Nice ambience.. The team is not capable of having crowds. We had many frustrated customers during peak time. But definitely not a fine dining! Management should look into this immediately especially training the manager.

I had breakfast at Astoria Veg Restaurant a few months ago, and it was really good. The food was yummy, especially the idli, which was incredibly soft. The place had a nice atmosphere, and it was super clean, which I appreciate. It was also easy to find parking right in front of the restaurant. I went in the early morning, so it wasn't too crowded, which was nice. If you're looking for a tasty and clean place to have breakfast in Chennai, I'd recommend giving Astoria Veg Restaurant a try.

One of the recently opened Pure Vegetarian restaurants at OMR, Thoraipakkam. Very nice ambience. All cutleries in Stainless steel, a deviation from plastic or china clay. Food was very tasty. We had naan, roti and soup, which tasted great. Service was very fast and very courteous. This is from the same people who have the famous veg restaurant at Kodaikanal in the same name.

This is one of the top vegetarian restaurant available at OMR. However, it is over crowded most of the time and we have to wait for at least 20 minutes to get inside during peak hours. The crowd superimpose the ambience and you can hear only others talking louder and louder. Children would like a quieter place. The waiter missed to note one of my order, this might be due to handling multiple people / tables in parallel. The sheswan noodles was excellent. The seasoning was perfect. The vegetables were fried crisp , perfectly. I would recommend them to have additional waiters to take care of dining tables, as the waiters would get stressed handling multiple people at once. People will also get good service.

I visited this restaurant yesterday located in OMR, Thoraipakkam. It's located in the prime area..just opposite to Cognizant. Starting from hygiene, parking space, hotel ambience, food quality & taste and more important - nice customer friendly staff members. Prices are reasonable - "You get for what you pay". This is a 100% Veg & Fine Dining restaurant. I recommend this place for all the Veg food lovers to visit and enjoy the overall feast. Best wishes to team "Astoria Veg". We went for the food on next day after cyclone Michaung, it as good food. Pure vegetarian restaurant, taste of food awesome We ordered masala dosa it was delicious crispy. After that we tried noodles good taste and coffee also good and strong. Overall good experience. Few power cuts were there but I think it was because cyclones affect.

Best veg hotel in Thoraipakkam ❤️Marvellous family restaurant and foods are great for amazing price. The thing is you have to tolerate 'the worst service' in such a nice place. The waiters are so sluggish and won't even respond when we call them. Nevertheless it is the go to place with friends for dinner.

You will get best variety rice only for 70 rupees and it will be very full .. ambience was good and service was fast . Food was not bad . A great south indian menu and loved their idly and dosas...Astoria dosa is a great menu item and if you are going as 5-6 people do order this to quinch everyone's dosa thrist :)....none of the items we ordered disappointed us and will visit again...happy eating :)

We have been here on 29June for breakfast, food was good but service is below the par. We had to wait for 15 mins for the coffee and finally came out without having the same. There were many people to take order but none of them were serving the clients - it was really a bad experience to start a day

The restaurent was neat and clean. There were about 40 customers when I went in, and all of them were eating the "south indian meals". I was the lone person to order tandoori. And I guess that was a mistake. The side dish was floating in oil. Will visit again sometime soon and eat meals, i am sure it will be very good. The pricing is quite reasonable.

Just a regular ordinary veg restaurant. It may seem to be a great restaurant, but the activities of waiters, the varities of food they offer, gives you a feel of a ordinary restaurant. Waiters could be made more professional, instead they behave like the ones in normal shops.

We went there around 10:30 P.M and the restaurant was full, it is located in main road in Karapakkam, car parking facility available, very good ambience, good service and very importantly nice food at a very reasonable price. they should open many more branches, no need to throng to A2B or Sangeetha anymore for a good vegetarian food.

I visited this restaurant on the weekend. Google reviews justified the food taste, ambience and quick service. The restaurant is located on omr, so easily accessible, it has plenty of parking space. I reserved a table in advance using Google maps and dineout. On weekends it is pretty crowded. But it did not restrict them to serve the hot food quickly. The food tasted great, they had a large variety from dosas, Vada, North Indian dishes, tandoor roti to Chinese food. I would recommend you to give it a try.

We reached the hotel almost at closing time. But the staff were still very courteous and polite while serving. They went so far as to apologising for many items getting over from the menu. We were humbled by the service. Taste was altogether on a different level. I have never had such authentic Tamil style dosa, sambhar and chutney in a long time. As staff were leaving due to the closing time, the owner himself started helping the waiters. We were very impressed by the service and taste. Eagerly waiting for our next time there. A very good veg restaurant in Thoraipakkam. The crowd is high from 12.30pm. We had French fries, Gobi 65, veg meals, Ghee dosa, ice cream and lemon soda . French fries and Gobi 65 were tasting good. No complaints . Veg meals was normal nothing so great I felt. I didn’t like the payasam they served with meals. Otherwise the food was good and we didn’t feel any artificial taste in everything. One added advantage for me was that they served dosa for lunch. My son always look for dosa if he goes to a veg restaurant. Ghee roast was crispy and tasty. Lemon soda was fresh and good but I didn’t like them use sugar syrup in it. Else it was perfect . Ice cream was the best in the entire dishes. If you want to get reminded of your childhood try their plain vanilla ice cream The service is was average. Initially they needed reminders to take orders. Once the order was taken they took care of the rest .

What to hate about this place? This was recommended by my close friend and it was the best decision on a hungry trip towards Chennai. Loved their lunch especially the meals. It's a nrml veg meal that you get anywhere but you would not have tasted it's sambar, rasam or vatha kuzhambu. The taste was top notch and you can never stop repeating sambar. Though pricing is a little big when compared to anywhere.. I would say it is totally worth it.

A quiet place to dine with your family. You enjoy eating vegetarian food once a while then this is the best option. Situated on the main road it is very easily accessible. The ambiance is beautiful and the reception from the servers is warm.
