You'd be wondering why I gave two stars for such a good hotel. Let me explain why. I was about to park my bike near a car in front of the entrance and the security shooed me off without any respect that I shouldn't park my vehicle here and there is a place on the other side. I was like okay and followed him. There was no place to park as it was already crowded. He still insisted I park my bike somewhere else and not near a car. The security has zero respect for the customers who come on bikes. Also I noticed him being kind and polite to those who come in a car. Cheapest behaviour. I then yelled at him to treat everyone equally and his reply was "GO TALK TO THE MANAGER IF YOU WANT". I had my lunch i.e meals and a refreshing water melon juice. No complaints regarding food. The staffs inside were courteous. Please change your staffs who are responsible for parking.

The AC restaurant is a respite from the heat. Quick service and unlimited options for your Thalli. Only downside was their sambar and vathakuzhambu was not like how it was or maybe that day. Otherwise a perfect lunch.

Today(20/01/2024- afternoon) I went to get takeaway only 1 item, veg biryani, to my surprise it had zero 0 vegetables in it, except 3 pieces of small tomato. I was hungry so didn't call the restaurant and give feedback. I buy frequently from here. On previous occasions, I have bought paneer or mushroom biryani as well, 1) once paneer biryani had only vegetables(beans, peas, carrot). 2) Another time, paneer biryani had vegetables and exactly 2 pieces of paneer, 3) Another time paneer biryani had only paneer and NO vegetables. What I am puzzled here is what are the ingredients that goes into a specific biryani? Or according to the mood of the chef he will give you a surprise? Every takeaway, I personally go and collect my take away, this is not even online order. I just want to know what will be the ingredients when ordering a mushroom/paneer/veg biryani? Please note this feedback, Until then I will stick with Veg parcel meals, because that is only consistent here. When ever i order any biryani or fried rice, the ingredients are messed up. I am not a person who complaints frequently, but this has happened more than 3 times and it is annoying when i am in hunger. 1st Photo - shows when i started eating the first half from the plastic container. 2nd Photo - shows the contents when i started eating the second half from plastic container which is now empty as you can see the proof.

I went for breakfast on a Saturday. The restaurant was completely full. But still they managed to provide us a table. The ambience was good and so was the food. The service was very slow. They took a very good 30 minutes to serve Dosas. There's ample parking in the front. Hand Wash area was a little shady.

As always, this place never disappoints us. Food quality is very good. The ambience and the atmosphere could be slightly better. Though there was a miscommunication in the order during our recent visit, I would highly recommend this place. I see many people indulging in their delicious food after a walk around this area. I hope the quality is never compromised.

Great place to come for a fast and easy meal. You can't go wrong here. It's definitely not the best south Indian food but it gets the job done, and does so well. The coffee, ven Pongal, dosa and Vada were all pretty good. They have non-AC and AC seating. They are a typical olden days Indian restaurant establishment. The food here is tasty and not focused on spice. Great for all kinds of patrons - kids, elderly, foreigners, etc. They also have a toilet on site. I definitely wouldn't recommend, but if you're in a pinch....

You can’t go wrong with this fast food restaurant serving South Indian food like thosai, vadai, idly, vegetarian set lunch, some sweets and good beverages. Filter coffee is good. The restaurant is decently clean, and with many tables - so you wouldn’t say it’s cozy. Food is delicious and wholesome. Service is quick and courteous.

Worst hotel. The staff can't even tolerate child jumping. Food taste very bad. Late delivery. Menu items not available. Old decayed fruits used in falooda. Unnecessary high pricing. Don't risk your life in this hotel.

Classic south indian eatery! Must try if you are visiting Chennai. Visited this place for an evening snack. The dining area was super clean and neat. However, the hand wash area wasn't cleaned after lunch time with rice spills around the sink.

Very Very poor service. Just for one spoon they took 10 minutes time and still no luck then we went to cutlery counter and asked for spoon. We ordered Chinese combo and chef has poured black pepper heavily in noodles and fried rice and as a result my kids has to leave as it is without eating. We ordered south Indian special thali and they are delaying bringing rice, had to wait for nearly 5 minutes for each turn of rice. They charged full amount for the food they prepared. Totally it was a rubbish day and we chose a very bad restaurant for diwali.

First up all don't come to this branch. If you come then order the food and go to beach, spend some good time there and come back and wait for atleast 40 min then also no one will take order. Last week we 6 people had food all got breathing trouble. Apart from that this place is conjusted and poorly maintained for South Indian restaurant and well maintained for North Indian restaurant... See how it works.

Awesome place for vegetarian food. One of my favorite places in Chennai for mini tiffin, idly and almost everything you order is just delicious. Wish there ware places like this in all cities.

It was a good experience here. We went after the temple visit on Sunday. Crowd was fine. Almost full. Parking you can leave your vehicle around the restaurant. We ordered unlimited and limited meals, Chinese combo, naan and gravy. Meals was not up to the Sangeetha standard usually there. But definitely not bad. Just that it has high standards. Chinese combo was good but only thing is we had to ask for the ice cream atleast 3 to 4 times before they serve. But taste wise it was good.

Maintenance is going bad. Restrooms are worst than govt toilets. Horrible maintenance. Hope the management retains their name for quality and cleanliness.

Pretty slow service. Food comes after asking multiple times post placing order. The bill came to us only after we asked for it 4 times. Would not recommend, head over to any other Sangeetha's in the city.

We ordered two limited South Indian thaali. While Chapatti was soft and fresh, side dishes were mediocre. Dessert served was 'Sweet pongal' appeared to be burnt and smelt smoky. Had shared this feedback with their supervisor.

Excellent taste as always. Quick service and polite staff. The crowd is huge during weekends but I get to seat under 15 to 20 mins during peak crowd. You also have an option to dine in your car itself by parking on the roadside. Quality and hygienic food. I have been addicted to this restaurant. Filter coffee is a delight you should not miss.

Sangeetha is a chain of restaurants in Chennai with a menu of South Indian vegetarian eats. From their lunch menu, I ordered the Mini Meal, which came with a sweet, kurma (yogurt-based curry with mixed vegetables), chapati, poriyal (chopped green beans mixed with dal), vadams (crunchy crackers), and three types of rice: variety (seasoned with herbs, spices, peanuts, dal), sambar (made with mixed vegetables and lentils), and curd (mixed with yogurt). All of the items were seasoned perfectly, and the cool curd rice balanced out the hot sambar and variety rices, while the chapati went perfectly with the kurma and poriyal. The place was quite busy and chaotic during my visit and the service wasn’t particularly attentive, but the tasty food came at a great value.

Great service and attention to detail. Very good place for South Indian breakfast. Quite consistent on quality and speed of service. Their sambar that comes as part of breakfast is very good and good variety of chutneys. Lunch can be busy on weekends. Parking can get tricky in front at times but there are some closeby spots. Overall very good food, prompt service and great consistent option for vegetarian South Indian food.

Food is good ,Pongal is extremely oily, which is almost like heart attack on plate , They are not even worth one star when it comes to Service and cleanliness. Food will definitely taste good, even with little less oil in his red chutney, green chutney and in Pongal also khichadi.. coffee can get better. But definitely a good place to have idly sambhar , Oil less Dosas etc. The place is so crowded. Every second they serve food., So the owner has to really think of hiring more people to serve. Exactly 80-90% more than What he has now. Poor guys are always running around serving people.

Though all the orders palced were executed, the service was a total mess and very delayed. We went in as a group of 15 and dosa took a very very long time for serving. Asking for sambar and chutney was never given. Over all mess.

Food is great. But service is very poor. Absolutely horrible. Had to go around asking waiters to give food. And it all took like one and a half hours inspite of the restaurant not being crowded.

Sangeetha is our favorite neighbourhood eat out. They make the best dosai and a tasty sambar. The goods - food - improved ac room - decent service - prime location - available parking The can be better - non ac outside many times dont have service - the service leads are rushing through the order to get you out as soon as possible - not a place and sit and yap but order eat and run away - wait time sometime is longer due to lean service agents. Overall it is a good place.

Value for money, I feel dine in tastes better than take away. Price might be on the higher side but trust me worth everyone penny you pay for , very light on the stomach and safe for toddlers too. Only drawback is the take away section, no proper waiting area and wait time is more.

Chutney festival is a must try for everyone with 40 plus types. My favorite being the Garlic chutney. Sangeetha never fails to amaze me and fill my tummy

Had people who were raving about Sangeetha, so decided to try it for dinner. Has the Masala dosa, puri and filter coffee. For those used to Masada Dosa from the Premier joints in Bangalore, they will find this Dosa nor upto the mark. It's thin and not so crispy. The filter coffee was good. Given the joint has over 10 franchisees in Chennai, it doesn't have that exclusive outlet mark.

Today ordered Kashmiri Pulao and Aloo Paranta. Though Aloo Paranta was very tasty and hot, my expectation was to have a non spicy rice dish and hence ordered Kashmiri Pulao. I have ordered and had Kashmiri Pulao before and it used to be so tasty, but today it was just cooked rice with a few pieces of Apple, Pineapple, Grapes, and a spoonful of Cashews and was totally waste of money I had to pay. I made a complaint and asked them to talk to the Chef and Manager and get back to me, but till now no response. Better to avoid such costly dishes from Sangeetha. They no longer serve good food like they used to serve.

Sangeetha Hotel has been here for a very long time, yet the quality remains the best till date. The place offers the best South Indian food and their Ghee Roast is to die for. They offer a variety of cuisines like South Indian, North Indian and Chinese along with fresh juice and ice creams. The dining area is maintained neatly and the service is quick (depends on the crowd when you eat).

We had Mysuru Masala dosai and Podi dosai. The former was Karnataka style dosai, i.e. a tad thick, somewhat burnt and accompanied by a sweetish sambar. I don't particularly like Karnataka dosais and sambar, so my mistake in ordering it. Those who like Kannada food may like this. The podi dosai was Tamilnadu style and excellent!

Friendly atmosphere, People loudly laughing and talking over breakfast. The right kind of noise. The world needs more of this noise. Food was fresh, good quality, had a healthy feel to it. Reasonable cost.

  • 4/5 THARANI M. 1 year ago on Google
There are variety of options in breakfast, snacks and North Indian varieties. They are kind enough to leave out some ingredients if required due to health factor. The falooda is great and fulfilling, but there could be more dessert varieties. Parking space is limited to 5 small vehicles, not sure if they have separate space during busy hours. Service can be improved, during busy hours the wait time for attention of bearer is little tough.

The parcel counter is the most inefficient here. Though the person in the cash counter is very polite and helpful, the staff packing the food and the person handing over the parcels are discourteous, arrogant and indifferent. Though I reside only a few meters away, I will hereon go to Myl or Alwarpet for parcels.
