Went on 2019 june at the time of water scarcity in chennai the water comes in wash basin is brown in colour i asked the staff about that and that man opened the tap and said nalla thaane varuthu ,i realised this is the water they are using consciously for cleaning and preparing food after that I have never been there and also their parcel food are very low in quality they will provide turmeric water like sambar when you buy parcel they will charge high price for these junk

Gud taste but expensive

Great place if you are not worried about parking or waiting outside. Staff's are friendly and the food is good. Anyone who wants to just try out south India tiffin's​ this is a good place to start with.

Was good when opened. But now the service has gone down drastically. Cleanliness ?. No slashes in price, but same person to remove the used banana leaves, clean the table and serve side dishes. The person who was in the cash counter was taking care of serving sidedish, servicing swiggy guys and multitasking. Manpower need to be improved badly. Waterless tap in the wash basin. No paper napkins. Served spoiled coconut chutney. Inspite of reporting nothing happened. When spoke to the branch manager, he told that chuney arrived at 2:00 am and so the problem was. He apologized and informed that he'll serve idly podi in place of chutney. Even though we were done, others who eats whatever they serve might gey benifited. Unless we open our mouth and ask, we will be the losers.

The way of food presentable and way is not good they are not using any plates under the leaves it's not convenient to eat good + they are not using a small bowl including for sambar types of chutney taste is very worst, Price is not affordable aslo quantity is very low, overall waste of money, Think before enter the murugan idly shop earning money is not a easy thing

The standard of this restaurant has decreased drastically over the last year. People come to your place in the summer to enjoy a nice cold jigarthanda and what we got was a very bad tasting product which i would not call a jigarthanda.. there was no ice cream in it. At least in solid form. I guess this is a result of the management deciding to turn off the freezer. The staff have become impatient recently. Guess that is because of the summer but overall i am disappointed that these chains take customers for granted.

Very quick service. Awesome food. 4 chutnies and sambar on the side. Loved it. Parking and traffic is horrible outside. Quiet and lovely inside.

We went as a family and had podi idli and podi onion uthappam and man, the food was so delicious. They provide 3-4 varieties of chutney and all are equally good. If you are someone who prefer sambhar to chutney don't worry, it's even better than the chutneys IMO.

A must visit place to explore when in Chennai. If you're a south indian food lover, then this is one of the best places that serves authentic breakfast with a traditional style of presentation! You will surely be amazed with the taste. Must try here are Ghee Podi Idli, Ghee Podi Masala Dosa, Adiyappam, Uthappam & many more..

and it is this kind of attitude of certain established brands that set their path on the downhill...the quantity doesn't necessarily have to be inversely proportional to quality. And to be honest the quality is 2/5 to begin with. It was an utter disappointment.

Mouth licking south indian delicious food, various chutneys, but table service is very bad, for some people they are doing very good service, others have to wait until the important customers are finished there food, management has to take some action taken above this issue, otherwise they will lose regular customers like me, we have plenty of hotels available around your place. Taste is important but at the same time treatment is also important.

Comparatively a small restaurant but quite comfortable. Food was equally good as other murugan idly shops, staff were courteous and responsive for the orders. Waiting time was very less and I was able to get the order quickly. Located in between several small buildings and it was tough to locate initially. No exclusive parking and it is justifiable for the location it is on. Overall a nice restaurant to grab a quick bite in mambalam.

The hotel management should appoint a separate table cleaner. Never use the same person for serving sambhar chutney and cleaning the table...

Quality is good But compared to other nearby hotels it's very costly. We have to spend atleast 350₹ to 500₹ for 3 member family. Other places we can spend 200₹ to 250₹ only.

A great chain which I admire has one branch that always makes me think if its one of their own. Idli as usual their strengths. The sambar here tasted a bit watery compared to other branches. Asked for onion uthappam - not available. Settled for a plate of idli. I don't expect an unavailability of some trademark dishes of theirs. Secondly the server giving takeaway are very rude in their attitude. How does 3 idlis mean a set of idli? Asked if it was one set idli and he answers that's what he meant. Small behaviour changes could be a lot sometimes. A long way to improve.
