Always favourite shop since 2016 mostly i have my breakfast and dinner here sometimes lunch meals I don't have that much photos to post but trust me I'm regular customer of this mess since 7 years What ever in the menu will be fantastic and hygienic In 2016 it's a self service with affordable price But, now they serves and price also increased compare to other hotels But, taste and quality of the mess remains the same My suggestion is cost cut the price by 10 - 20 percent again introduce self service it will be beneficial for bachelors and daily eaters. Best recommendations here, must try Idiyappam vada curry Garlic dosa (top notch) Veg meals (Best and better) Sumuthi milk

Overall a good experience We reached little late in morning around 11 am by the time most of the stuff got over. We tried ghee dosa roast and moringa dosa both were nice, sambar was good so was chutney. Their filter coffee was really good and we had their speciality simrithi milk which was really good . Only issue was they had very little space only around 20 people can be served at a time. But overall a good experience, staff was humble.

Updated on 06.10.2021: Went there to buy meals and shocked after hearing the price, meals costs 95rs. during lunch time, only meals is there now, seems bit expensive now. Before I gave 5 star for taste and best price but now they have increased the price and only meals is there during lunch time. old review: Feb, 2021 Best place for bachelors, foods are same as home made, sambar tastes like Sangeetha hotel sambar. In noon time sambar rice for 27RS a bag of mixed sambar rice, bag of round Appalams (more than 15 small pieces and small vadai) included for 27RS. its cheap and best for bachelors who lives in nearby Triplicane. I recommend you guys to try once. Yummy foods in affordable price.

This is situated in Akbar Sahib Street in Triplicane. Opppsite side/rad of Bus stand. Few other branches are also there in other places. I have been to this mess so many times. It is such a quality mess much better than many hotels. Since it is a mess, chairs will not be there to sit and eat. A few years ago, they limited sambar or any side dishes to a cup or so, the quality was so good at those times. No extras at all. But that quantity was enough. When they started to provide extra sambar/other side dishes, the quality came down. Also when they started to provide many varieties too, the quality which was early didn't be there nowadays. Mostly, women work here. Not connected to Bharathiyar anyway, thinks so. But bharathiyar related information will be posted on the walls. In the limited space, all tables are properly arranged, and a few washbasins and food were served properly. Price will be a little higher than other normal mess or hotels, but quality will be better. Availability of an item can be known outside itself when a clip is there against that item. Will not affect the stomach in any way as they don't use artificial items in the food. Nowadays they have started serving. This is a mess where you can have food all three times without any fear of stomach issues. Always a memorable place and will eat there whenever I go to that side.

Just a small room which can seat about 16 people but in high demand for the quality of food. Located in Akbar sahib street lane opposite to A2B on Pycrofts road. Mornings tiffin till 11.39 am and luch from 11.30 to 4 pm. Taste is good not lip smacking and light on the stomach. Had Pongal and thattu idli. Chutney and sambar are delicious 😋. Dosa varieties seem to be popular. A dependable food joint for bachelors and college students at an affordable cost. Being a narrow lane, only two wheeler parking can be done around and Car parking is a constraint. Having branches near Chepauk and Mylapore. Payment only in cash.

This is a good place and I am a regular customer, Recently I noticed a staff a tall fair Muslim boy with curly hair give extra items to certain known customers and he asks them to pay only for half the stuff they eat later his friend waits outside and collects some money from them... Good old Place for Breakfast, lunch and Dinner. I had my Breakfast. Garlic dosa is one of the special Dosai to try here which is slightly spicy. Sumithi Milk 🥛 also called Sukku, thipili, pepper mixed in milk is a must try or a coffee. They do not offer Tea. Place is but congested as it’s an old one but worth the taste. Rates are okay comparatively with high end hotels. It features photo frames and facts around the wall about Bharathiyar!

Bharathi mess is one of the safest and popular eateries in triplicate area. The traditional tamilnadu vegan meals of Bharati mess is superb. There will be big crowd always and you have to wait almost 10 minutes. Its a stand and eat or take out restaurant with limited space. There are no chairs. But for the quality and taste its very popular in that area. The pricing is very reasonable if not cheap.The Bharathiar songs on the background is a highlight. When you finish your meals you will be satisfied i can assure you. This is one of the best option for breakfast too. Hence i recommend this hotel with five star.

This was a random mess i visited when i was roaming near marina beach for breakfast 😍 This place didnt disappoint us 🤷🏻‍♂️ This is a decent spot for breakfast for vegetarian as its a pure veg mess. They have different types of dosas such as Keera dosa, poondu (garlic) dosa etc . I tried both and ghee roast . The poondu dosa was the best i would say 🤤 as the taste of Garlic with some spices mixed with sambar and chutney gives you a heavenly feel for breakfast 😍😍🤤🤤 The smell of the gheee roast would take you down for sure 😍 They also have beverages such as coffee tea etc...but couldnt try them as they didnt serve them on the day we went . Cons would be limited seating options and parking would be quite difficult as this is located inside a small street . I kinda liked the food 😍 So you can try if you are looking for any other options apart from ratna cafe or rayar mess near marina beach.

This is one of my old visits from post lockdown with Bharathi mess. A restaurant that is rightly located in center of Mylapore with vast south indian tiffin and meal varieties. The staffs were good, I went there by early morning to try their breakfast varieties, and yet to explore their entire menu which seems be intriguing.

The dosa and idli was authentic and served well on banana leaf. The staff here is courteous and they serve food with respect and love. Loved it totally!!

Go blind if you're a healthy freak. One of best and oldest place in Triplicane. They have different variety of Menus from Organic to City food. Pure veg and you can feel home food here. These place also holds special mark to employee only woman service staffs and use modern cooking mechanism for Tamil Food.

Just visit there once. I've been there around 20 times. There are no seats in the restaurant, it's a small place where you can eat as much as you can without burning your pocket. Awesome food, every thing that is served here tastes fantastic. Idiyappam - Thenga paal - Fantastic.. The best part is, the food is prepared without any food additive, preservatives, colour or any artificial taste enhancers.

Good and tasty food. Amazingly quick service. Though the place is small and a bit cramped we got our seats immediately.

Very small clean place. Rice served covered in small utensil to keep it hot. This did touch my heart. Meals at 110 parcel was very good. Do try if you seek simple veg meals which was quite tasty. It's located on a small street where you could find parking for a bike. Plan well.

As I'm working in different areas when I came across triplicane I went to this mess in which they provided a meals with different dishes and also served a cup filled with mixed pulses ,vada and healthy sweet stuff which was unique. Great taste and worth for cost. Bharathi mess fills your tummy with happiness😋

This is a place where you get homely vegetarian food for good price and you can enjoy all the traditional south indian foods and snacks in the evening. Must try here - Garlic dosa, mushroom dosa, mini podi idly fried also idiyapam with coconut milk or vada curry !

Yesterday I have ordered one onion rava dosa. Without any taste including salt. Even when I return the dosa, no one has asked why the item is returned. Please don't go there. Only our hard earned money is wasted. The owner should personally come over for surprise check.

One of the best Veg meals which I had in recent years,for rs.110/-. after 1 hour touring beach with my family in morning was hungry at 12pm googled near by hotels spotted this mess which was nearer,no expectations very small space in mess but the rice well cooked hot serving sambar Kara kulambu rasam all on table really superb,2 types of kootu fantastic and with one poriyal , served one Vada ,ragi kolkatai small one,appalam, finally the curd was really awesome i didn't know rice was limited just had the curd in glass to drink which was good, could have served a small quantity of rice at last.only one con to serve only one person was available.

This is a rare kind of hotel than the one you would usually find. There are no chairs to sit. You have to stand and eat. The table is tall and big enough for 4 people to share space. You can either take parcel or eat there itself. For veg meals, it cost ₹75. You will have to self serve. Take the bill to the food counter and they will provide you a plate with curries and side dishes along with a tiffin with rice. The food was great. Curries were good. The hotel is packed and super busy at peak times and it may be difficult to maneuver around especially if you have a backpack. Overall, good hotel for good meals.
