We are from Toronto, Canada. We came to India for a month tour. We booked Cholan Tours with a Tamil driver. He was okay with us throughout the 21 days tour. We were so generous with the driver. On the final day of the tour, we gave the driver a big amount of tips. Then he started cheating us. He claimed that he lost the full amount of tips money. He cheated us using our generosity. We think he tried to scam us. He cried a lot saying that he lost the money fully. He said he accidently dropped the envelope somewhere. He made us to give him the tips second time. When we came home, we thought about this again and again. Now we are pretty sure, that the Cholan Tours driver cheated us! The driver damaged the reputation of the Cholan Tours company. We will never hire this company again. I do not want to reveal the driver's name here, for sympathy.

The trip was entirely curated by them: they provided a driver in an impeccably clean car throughout, reserved rooms in very comfortable hotels, and hired local guides in the various places I visited. All for a very good price. And at least five times during the trip I was contacted by the company’s managers to ensure that all was going well.
