One day is just not enough for this place. None of us felt like leaving. Spacious and well maintained rooms. Neat and clean. One star less just for the price and quality of the food. Price high is acceptable but it should be justified with quality and quantity. We choose beach resorts because we want to spend time in the beach. 6.30pm beach gate closure is not a good thing when we have paid good amount of money. Atleast some seating arrangements can be made inside the campus to watch the waves. Had issues with my room they immediately changed without delaying at 9pm. Complementary breakfast is really good. Very hospitable staff. Will surely come again!!

The rooms are poorly maintained and cleaned. The rate for the rooms is too high without even basic amenities such as electric kettle or tea/coffee maker kit. The beds had a smell and the tiles in the bathroom were broken in a few areas. They host functions on the lawn near the rooms blasting music at full volume without even considering they have guests living nearby. I have seen Oyo hotels with better staff than they have. The staff didn't even offer to carry the bags of the guests and that's bad especially considering the distance we have to cover to reach the rooms. The distance from the entrance to the rooms is almost a kilometer and even though a buggy service is available the driver is unavailable on call half the time and the guests have to wait for 15-20 minutes in the reception before getting to the entrance. The wifi coverage is abysmal and didn't even connect at some places. The only positive I can say is the location which is so nearby a beach which is not crowded at all and the lawn and property architecture with sculptures and gardens. But this too is only to woo film makers for shooting. It very evident that hosting guests in the resort for stay was only a side business to them. The management and employees are only interested in keeping the film crew and the people who have booked functions there happy and entertained. I would never recommend this place to anyone who wants a relaxing stay at a resort or even someone who wants to stay in the vicinity.

Place is over priced. Many of the swings are either not working or in a very pathetic condition. Safety is a issue as the rides are too old. Food served here is hilarious. Place is far away from chennai and requires a full day to visit. Before taking any rides think twice as the rides are really old. I will personally suggest not to take food here as I got stomach issues after consuming food here.

The property is on the main road and has quite a handful of attractions like Marine Kingdom, Snow world nearby. The resort is very old. The outer landscaping are good. But rooms, building infrastructure and linen are old and aging, they definitely need to be addressed. The manpower is hardworking and prompt. Their efforts to impress the guests wins a point that the building infra fails to do.

Sadly, if you reserved a room at this resort.Never place an inside order for food from them. Although expensive, the taste is below average. They don't even know how to make basic curd rice, which is highly surprising !!! We cannot even eat a spoonful of it. The receptionists are too negligent to address your problem. Even for 20rs water bottle they will charge you 40 rs +gst=48 !!! Kids should be especially cautious because there are many street dogs inside the resort. Overall High price with negligible Service. This Resort is everything what a resort should not be. Avoid it at all cost

Pathetic customer service. Should have honoured other reviews. No rooms availability 40 minutes past check in time. No food for anyone other than corporate team outs. Unreasonable security guard near reception. I am waiting for room because they are overbooked. He ask me to remove my car. Says parking only for people with room. Talks very disrespectful way. Finally the room is poorly cleaned. Hair from previous occupants still in bathroom. Bathroom always wet due to leaking plumbing. Did not gave me beach view room as booked. Housekeeping never comes after repeated calls. Poor quality food. They makes good money out of team outings and treat families as second class citizens.

Worst stay. This is only suitable for groups visiting on corporate packages. Not suitable for families for peaceful stay. This is a decades old resort with no maintenance. 365 days there will be events happening here taking away the peace of your stay. Room service and staff response is beyond miserable. If they are promising a room, blindly don't believe it and plan your travel. Though you pay your advance which is non refundable, the choice of room is never guaranteed. I waited in reception for more than a hour for a resolution on my room. And ofcourse there is no concept called hospitality in this resort. Worst part is food, what they serve will be untidy and distasteful.

I booked for a dayout on my son's first birthday with my family. It costs around 1900 per head including food,pool and some indoor and outdoor activities. Pool is good and I have not accessed indoor and outdoor games. Food is very average, soup and starters are very cold. Even buffet cutlery were not provided properly. I would suggest to improve the quality of food in buffet and apart from that the staffs and reception persons were kind and helpful. Thank you

Overall experience was very poor due to less hospitality and poor maintenance. 1. We booked sea view room and the check in time was 2pm. We reached hotel by 3 pm. Receptionist informed us it will take few more minutes as they need to sanitise the place. We then went for lunch and came back by 5.30pm and asked for room, he said it will take 10 more minutes. We checked in only by 6pm. 2. Very poor maintenance and lot of uncleaned garbages at several places. Stray Dogs roaming everywhere. 3. Sea view rooms are very small. Not worth for Rs.7000/-. 4. Restaurant was not maintained. It was very untidy and unhygienic. 5. Rooms are Worth for less than Rs.2000/- 6. Ordered dinner at 8pm. And I'm writing this review at 9.55pm still haven't received the dishes. Very worst room service. 7. Gets very dark after sunset and not enough lights at footpath. 8. Water stagnation at bathroom sink. 9. Will never recommend this resort to anyone. 10. Better can close this few days for maintenance and reopen.

I. Gave three star as Place is beautiful but Maintenance is very Poor ... Minimal lights and bathroom Fittings are not maintained.. Rooms are beautiful but outside the room Dogs are roaming..!!! Rooms Floors are sticky and no room service comes to clean ..!! May be while resort was new it was beautiful and so much maintained but now due to minimal maintenance its not the place where you want to visit again.. Resort restaurant is so poor condition may be other Road side restaurants are good and Hygiene enough to eat !! as we saw around kitchen Cutlery lizards and flies were roaming around . My daughter was stopped eating after séeing that...!!!

VGP always had its name but this time its completely worst. The rooms were smelly and the bedsheets had holes. The food was not proper and had to go out every single time for every meal. Too many mosquitoes in the room too. No sleep and no food and there was nothing much to enjoy in a beach stay except for the morning sunrise at the beach. In the evenings the beach closes by 6 pm and we were stuck outside the resort as the gates were closed and felt like a hostel. Nobody mentioned about closing of the gates and we were stuck with a kid in the beach at 7 pm and as it was pitch dark and dogs around my daughter started crying and overall a worst beach stay experience. We wished they could have given back our money and gone to another resort and stayed there.

Wow! Amazing place. We booked in a weekend and it was a bit crowdy but the enjoyment is at peaks. Don't stay at one place if it taking longer( like Giant wheel) explore other things. There will be photographer at every ride, better go for the soft copy of them. Finally the water rides are awesome(Must do the big water slide). Must try all of them. Worthy place to visit with friends and family. Try it out once. It would be a memorable one.

The good aspect of this resort is the private beach, huge lawn and calm environment. We stayed here for a day and the room was pretty decent and clean as well. Kids swimming pool is very small because of which kids can't enjoy swimming. Coming to food, its over priced but quality was ok. People can go near by veg restaurants to have a good meal/dinner. I personally feel that this resort it is not that worth of what we had paid.

If you plan to book at VGP Restaurant, make sure to read this review once or twice. Due to our two-day stay as guests, we had to book four rooms. The cleanliness is poor and there are frequent power cuts, up to 20 times at midnight even though it's midnight. There were many guests who felt regret. The price is high but the service is negligible. The worst aspect is that we ordered food inside the resort, which is expensive and not worth the quality. After we've finished our dinner. Outside, we kept bowls and plates, but some dogs came and ate the food that was left outside. The same plates are being used for our breakfast and other activities again. We let housekeeping and management know that they are not all serious about this. Housekeeping will not respond to your calls after 10pm. The bar is too expensive for RS.75 beer, charging 300, which is not worth it.

We had team outing. Manager has organized very well and team building activities conducted was excellent he engaged team with lot os funs. Food was good. Best staffs

Bad experience in the vgp resort stay, especially room service and food service. Food was not prepared on time. Actual buffet timing was 8am, but even around 8.45 am food was only partially served. On table service and guidance was not on the par. We had to request and ask for each and every thing. We booked for 3 people, but they charged extra for one bed as cash again. And in the room toiletries, kettle and basic things were not there. We went with kids and managing them along with their bad service added to our addition effort. Didn't expect this from reputed resort.

The buffet offerings were disappointingly limited, and the biriyani fell short, earning a mere 2 out of 5. The price tag of 1750 seemed excessive, considering the experience didn't match the standards expected from a star hotel. The redeeming qualities were the appealing ambiance and beachfront location, which seemingly justified the premium cost.

Don't spoil your weekend by booking room here. We came here for a weekend at 1:15 PM after booking the room via Agoda. Their CheckIn time is 2 PM. But they cannot allot room for us till 4 PM and still a lot of people were waiting for the room to be allotted. Whenever we ask, we get a standard reply that "Room will be cleaned in 10 minutes and you can get the key" Finally we cancelled the booking and left. Note: The swimming pool is too small and crowdy. People came for external events also can use(not restricted only for Resort Guests)

Recently I visited this resort with my family and relatives. Had some bad incidents during the course. The first worst thing which comes to my mind, was the restaurant: They serve very less food items for overpriced rates. Tea-Rs65 (worst than a local train tea), Coffee-Rs75 (worst than a local train coffee), Biselri 1 litre water bottle-Rs42 (the MRP rate is Rs20 only). If biselri company comes to know about this they will close this restaurant permanently. On top of that, the restaurant staff are very very slow and lazy to serve the food. The second worst thing was rooms check-in time: They alloted me the rooms after 4.30PM when my check-in time was 2PM as per my booking. The third worst thing were the rooms: The sea rooms were not upto the mark as I expected. Almost all the switch boards inside the room were damaged. The towels, pillow covers and bedsheets were not clean. The bathroom mats were not provided and also the bathrooms aren't good. The sea was not at all visible from the sea view room's balcony. Except for the beach, lawn and the indoor games nothing else was good. Overall I didn't like my stay here and I won't recommend anyone to visit this place.

Located on main road and reception near the sea side. With lot of parking facility available. Full of greenery with lot of trees. Swimming pool under maintenance. We had get to gathering with our school friends. Food was good and tasty. Value for money. Indoor game room is slightly smelly. Out door event was organised at evening by resort team. Private beach access. Every thing went on well. Over all good experience.

I booked Sea view room (me ,wife and toddler) which was costing me around 6 k , once after check In I understand the property looked like Old government building(not at all maintained) . Once i entered the room there was power failure issue which was sorted for 1 hour. Rooms looked very old damaged wardrobe, floors . Then we find difficult to find the hotel , as there was no name boards on hotel , play rooms . On the way to restaurant i saw some play areas , again all was broken ,my kid got disappointed . In their SPA only they provide full body massage not other services , and items in play room again was bought when they resort was opened . To summarize , not worth the stay until they renovate the property which the management told under progress . If still want to stay , pick up the cheapest room .. all looks similar .

Bad experience with VPG resort , booked room for 2 days and payments already paid in make my trip app. Beach and green area is good but cleanliness, poor maintenance and staff response are not good so my rating is 1 stars. Worst thing is Some one had used my room and kept their bags before our check out even we had swipe card with us, management has no clue how this happened and no response from them. Felt very bad and angry, we didn't log any complaint on resort management. We just want to leave the resort and never ever come back to this resort. From this I don't recommend this resort to my family and friends.

A bit old resort however you won't get the feel due to the upkeep of the property. Almost all the rooms have a decent garden view overlooking the ⛱️ Beach. They have a nice big lawn and a beautiful private beach . Apt for beach wedding and the food ofcourse makes us talk about it after a day too. Definitely people can consider this place for lawn, beach functions

Building were in ruins! Food was so bad. No fans in the canteen area. Indoor game area are not at all properly ventilated. Felt like hell! The trip coordinator's attitude was so bad, indescribable. It is better use the area for something meaningful. PS. They are not willing to provide drinking water the second time during the lunch! So better bring your own water if you have any plans.

HORRIBLE PLACE!!!! The lawns and beach is great but the room service the food the staff is very bad the bathrooms were dirty when we checked in the staff was not helpful. It took them 1 hour just to bring a coffee which was just milk. There was no kettle, tea bags, mug, towels, shampoo in the room. And they even charged extra ₹500 for spare card key. And they were so shameless they not even waiver off the coffee bill of the coffee which came after 1 hour and was only milk and was cold.

I have booked for Day outing, food is not expected level for that 1600rs. 400 for swimming pool for adults, 300 for kids. 1ltr water botel 50rs better use their RO water. Other than, used open for playing with family and day spent well. I didn't used any rooms, so I don't know about that.

If you are going for a holiday and want a resort experience, then VGP is not your place. Very poorly maintained rooms. No food / no tasty food. Every employee there owns the resort, hence will treat you like a bell boy, you will never be a guest. I have seen even the front office doesn't look at you even if you are the only one standing and asking. Overall - your office is a better place than this resort.... lol

Location and the property is really good but the management is very poor especially their room booking team and the Gay or the guy sitting in their reception. A receptionist who doesn't even know the basic courtesy to customers. Even the owner of this property, V.G.Panneerselvam, would not have treated any customer with such behavior. Making someone who doesn't know the meaning of the word receptionist is like giving a flower garland to a monkey.

Sit out in the room was very dirty. TV wasn't working and wasn't fixed even after repeated calls. Only good thing about this property is the sea facing view from the room. Not well maintained

Happy with the other aspects of this resort. Only disappointing aspect is their room service. If you are requesting for a room service then you will have to make multiple followups to get it done. We had a team outing at VGP resort. The coordinator Mr. Lokesh was excellent. Ambience, beach access, indoor outdoor games and the amenities were very good. Highly recommended for any kind of occasions

This was before covid. Its a nice place to hangout with friends and family. Its more like a picnic spots, you got a food court and other eatables just a good place to roam around and enjoy the beach and also some fun exciting games. There's was so much entertainment.

Ok. Decent. It has its pros and cons. Lovely natural scenary.. good beds and ac..but wash basin water was leaking..felt uncomfortable.. otherwise everything was fine.. breakfast was free but trust me guys eat somewhere out..

We booked for a sea view room and the room cost was charged around 7500 per day, it is actually not worth for 2k , not maintained and not clean. Moreover you cannot go to beach side after 6pm and there are no guards or security too.hmmm though it's inside city limit not recommending this place.

It's a good place to visit on summer vacations and we can play some rides there, but the cost of ticket is little bit high,otherwise it's best place to passing the time while summer vacations with family and friends.

This beach is famous for movie shootings so many tamil telugu hindhi movie shootings done here, you need to have vgp universal kingdom entry ticket to see this beach, when I visited this beach in 2019 Beach looked very clean, after lockdown in 2020 I visited this beach again but looked very dirty not clean nd not well maintained hope they maintain well.

Really Good Climate and Good Experience in this Place. In this Place Nearly All types of Candy Shops, Restaurants, Fun Shows are also nearly available in this Place.

Rooms are Decent, Housekeeping does a good job on ensuring the room was clean, being a beach resort, every guests do bring in a lot of Sand. Kudos to housekeeping on that part. However being in the Vicinity of beach, the humidity is bad. What that means is, if you switch off air Conditioning, The floors on the rooms will all be wet. And in order to mitigate, these problem, the housekeeping guys always keep the AC on, which in turn has Created lot of fungal growth behind the curtains and it does stinks. We had three rooms, had these issues in all 3. Mosquitoes are a real problem as well. We weren't able to sleep at all. At the morning, the pilow was soaked with mosquito bloods.... Real bad Mosquito problem is a deal breaker... The breakfast buffet was OK. Property can be maintained better. The biggest plus of VGP beach resorts used to be access to private beach. The beaches don't appear to be private anymore. People from local areas do visit the beaches for plating their games. May not be crowded as Marina, but crowd is equivalent to atleast Thiruvanmiyur beach.

A very pleasant stay at the resort. Missed the swimming pool since it was under construction but it looked very promising. Mr. Settu was very friendly and explained the situation with us. He gave us a family vibe. My kids loved the place.

That's fine but we couldnt use the bathroom as it was stinking like anything, rooms were very old with broken doors, it's like staying in an old lodge worth 1k per night. We thought of checking out after few hours of stay but paid 6000 so decided to stay on but didn't enjoy and wasted our day. We made a great mistake by booking this resort without reading the reviews and goin on by friends suggestion. It's total waste.

Hi, we booked resort on oct 2nd . per head rs 1000 for adults they charged above 5yrs half rate.. Welcome drinks is vinila milkshakes they have given its to bad ....but place , beach and lunch all excellent food is very nice 2 non veg chicken briyani and fish fry ..balance veg items they provide .. Full of greenish vgp place ... For one day outing is excellent place in ecr chennai ..

PLEASE DONT VISIT THE RESORT. We went for Day Outing and the place is extremely poorly maintained. They promised indoor games and the room was nothing less than a dungeon. Food was below average. Most importantly washrooms are highly unhygienic and totally dirty. Could easily catch infections because of it. Would rate -5 to be honest.

This place is good to visit with kids..There are lots of fun rides here..The aqua kingdom is not functional and only dancing waves are available..You have separate gate for car parking which costs rupees fifty only..Car parking is close to Snow kingdom..You can pay car parking charge at the time of buying entry tickets..The beach is clean and well maintained...

A very nice esort. Built over a huge area, it is very spacious and beautiful. But it appeared a bit lackluster due to very less number of guests. The place didn't feel very happening and lively. On diwali night it felt like a ghost town. No in-house restaurant. You have to go out of the resort main gate to reach their restaurant which is adjacent to the road. Food is also not very tasty. For a place charging 500 rupees for complimentary breakfast, the breakfast was quite lacked

Once upon a time such a famous resort and landmark of Chennai has lost all its shine. Felt like we entered into a world that met an apocalypse. Rooms - slightly nauseating with all wood in the room has been damaged. Taps and Flush were not functioning and broken. Restaurant - the lesser we say, the better it is. Horrible. Beach - was ok. Clean and accessible easily from room. Highly overrated and over priced. Would never recommend to anyone

We were 6 members and 3 kids. Booked 2 sea side rooms before a week for the dates 28 th checkin and 29 th checkout. Before entering the room we paid 14000 for two rooms. Very bad atmosphere. Maintenance and service not good. They didn't provide even drinking water its the basic ameneties in each hotel. For a room they will provide just two half litre bottle. Room s not good it's like old building. Don't prefer these rooms. You can pay 1000 rs and stay in outside hotel. Only complementary breakfast and swimming pool were good. So i am providing 1 star for it or else I will give 0 star. Waste of money.

I was quite skeptical when i booked this resort, as there were mixed reviews on Google. Still I thought of giving it a try, since I am on going with family off season and it was a long pending trip. Staff were good and helpful. The property is maintained well. But only one restaurant was open during our stay and we had to walk the whole place to reach. Hope they open the other restaurants soon. Would love to revisit.

Spread accross huge landscape with lot of greenery. Swimming pool was well maintained. Room was spacious. There is no private beach, but u have public beach access through the property. Breakfast options were neat.

Very bad experience. You order anything and it does not come less than 1 and half hour that too comes with 10 follow ups and reminders. Complimentary tea is blunder work and so the snacks are. Inspire order a tea for a better taste and it tasted just like the complimentary one. The intercom phones unanswered and seriously lot of hospitality improvements are required: The 2 stars for the spacious room and location.

Very bad maintenance of rooms. Not so hygienic. Before confirming the rooms, do check the hygiene and amenities available in the room. Regarding food, no complaints it is really good. Swimming pool is also okay. Also, regarding the service provided by staff and faculty in resort was really good. Very nice outdoor as u have private beach.

Governance and processes followed required maturity in room service and maintenance. Teared towel and bedspread provided which is basic thing in quality maintenance for the management. Nice place to stay, the rooms are good. But the service is very bad. Room service is very insensitive. They don't tend to respond to any queries. The room doesn't have any basic amenities like a kettle, toiletries, iron, or even a plate. We have to call them for everything. It took us 5 hours and 6 calls just to get a plate to enjoy refreshments. We had a jacuzzi in the room, but after many requests, no staff was sent to clean the Jacuzzi. We cut short 2 days' stay to a day for the above reasons. Carry all amenities from home or be at their Mercy for everything.

One of the best vacation spots in India. For a vacation with Family is the perfect place. If it is for a Corporate Event, it is the best venue with a long lawn next to beach. A must visit place for those who need the best experience. Nobody disturbs you, from the moment you check in to the moment you check out. However, they are at your doorstep for any assistance at any point of time during your stay. Dinner with Candle Light is free and it's the best for couples.

Don't waste your money. I don't want to waste my time writing a review for this resort. Room key was not working at all and everytime i go out of my room and cube back, i need to call the staffs and they will take their own time to reach and even it's a difficult task for them to open to room in a single shot. Rest room was stinking. Bad smell and we can't use. Room No 107. Luckily we took 2 find and the other one was done what okay and we used there. Only focused on money. Not bothered about service and customer satisfaction

Dated amusement park. Pool is good. Aqua Marine was very good.. Rides need to be maintained better, rusted... Needs a coat of paint.. Food is average. No rides during lunch time. Felt letdown... They need to stager rides and lunch time so that all the park does not close during lunch.

This resort has been for long time and it's age is starting to show now. It on the main road to Mahabalipurum. The hotel and water park are next to each other which is very convenient. It has its own private beach access. But the waters at the beach are too choppy to swim. Service is decent but we didn't get some things we asked for. Breakfast buffet is pretty good with Indian and western foods with fresh fruits and juice.

We stayed in Raja Cottage for a night. And our stay was nothing short of a nightmare. None of us (group of 6 adults and 2 kids) could sleep peacefully. The rooms were swamped with mosquitoes. The next morning many of us, including children, had rashes on our faces. Since it’s one of the oldest resorts on Chennai’s East Coast Road, we were not expecting anything great, yet this mosquito menace was a shocker. Another letdown is the dirty swimming pool. The water was green suggesting that it hadn’t been cleaned for a few days. The sprawling property, however, has a lot of greenery, lush-green lawns and good access to the beach. The complimentary breakfast was decent. If they maintain this properly well, appointing a few professionals for their reception and to look after the guests, it can certainly give other star properties a run for its money."

So much lost potential. This place can be a lot better. It's perfectly located to be the perfect City getaway, a huuuge property but it really Can be so much better. The staff are a hardworking lot and I would rate the service close to 5. Food isn't bad, but isn't great either. The beach attached to the resort is horribly maintained. They really can do a lot better. The pool is clean, and so is most of the property. The rooms are a bit damp, but not too bad. One of our rooms had broken plumbing and a leaky roof!

We went as 4 Families of relatives, a total of 16 people including Children; everyone enjoyed and no one had any complains. Well maintained open space, good food, diversified indoor games, Swimming pool and of course access to the Beach. Friendly, Responsive and Cooperative Staff. Will recommend to others and will be returning in future too.

I had attended a few weddings in this resort, they have many lawns to conduct parties and weddings, the best is the one closest to the sea, on the beach, if you are planning for a wedding near the beach, this is one can be a choice. Rooms are well planned and built, not very close to each other or congested. Good place to spend time.

The property is on the main road and has quite a handful of attractions like Marine Kingdom, Snow world nearby. The resort is very old. The outer landscaping are good. But rooms, building infrastructure and linen are old and aging, they definitely need to be addressed. The manpower is hardworking and prompt. Their efforts to impress the guests wins a point that the building infra fails to do.

If you are planning to book this place and reading the reviews to take a decision, please don't book this property at any cost. Let me tell you why : 1. Location and view : People prefer beach resorts so that they can have uninterrupted views of the sea right from their room. Although the property is beside the beach, let there is no sea view from any rooms. From the so called sea view rooms, you can only see the lawn and the barricade 2. Cleanliness : It really blows my mind how such a premium property can have a hygiene standards worse than a roadside lodge. The mattress had food beneath them, the washroom was not at cleaned, there was used diaper in the washroom. Apart from the rooms, the public areas are filthy too. Used bottles, tissue everywhere! I hope I dont get infected after staying here :( 3. Room condition : The rooms are so old and dillapidated that it can be a Heritage hotel but with failing windows, broken lamps and wall full of stains. Disgusting is a compliment. I had come to this place to revive my childhood memories of my father bringing me here once for leasure. All the memories are now ruined and all now take with me is the scene of used diaper in the washroom and half eaten food under the mattress. This Resort is everything what a resort should not be. Avoid it at all cost.

One of the best beach resorts in ECR, Chennai. Rooms are very big and clean. Staffs are friendly but the service can be improved. Food at restaurant inside the resort is also good but bit expensive. Otherwise, a very decent hotel to stay with family and friends.

Happened to stay in VGP Resort with my family. Stayed in three rooms and all are pathetic & Dirty. No buckets, Showers do not work, Moss stain in the closet, pillow covers are dirty… The services provided by Front Office (reception), Restaurant, and Housekeeping are worst too the core. If possible I would have given -10 for their services. Once you switch off the A/c, the flooring will have water as though it is a mini pool. They will question you back right royally as to who asked to switch off the A/C. There is an issue in their plumbing & the construction and no one acknowledges this. This will never be informed before check-in and you will be facing this issue later on there will be no rooms available and you would be able to book rooms immediately with other resorts as the cost will be exorbitantly high. We have registered the complaints more than 5 times and no action taken on same. The staffs are rude and never courteous. Especially Mahesh, and Palani from the front office. Even the Swimming pool is not maintained properly & the water contains too much chlorine where my blue color swimming shorts and my Silver bracelet color changed to dark brown. I screwed my holidays staying in VGP Golden Resort and I strongly do not recommend this resort for the people who want to enjoy their holidays.

Really a great place for all type of people, it is little costly but it is worthy. If you take beach view resort it'll give you different experience. I felt more relaxed and enjoyed a lot by hearing waves music, sunrise view and more. You will have multiple options to spend your time with private beach, swimming pool, multiple indoor and outdoor games, large garden, complementary breakfast (double check before booking) and more. Check-in and check-out time is 2pm to 12pm.

We recently had a wonderful family getaway at VGP resort, and it was an absolute delight. The location, nestled amidst of greenery lawn and we requested for a beach view and they have allocated the same. The sunrise view from the room was awesome!! The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the indoor play area. The gardens were well maintained and the beach is so close to the resort. The staffs were polite, friendly and attentive and they have provided a good hospitality. Overall, our stay at VGP Resort was a memorable, relaxing and refreshing experience for my entire family.

Earlier the rooms were good and the stay was very nice here. Now ( Oct 2023) when we went here the rooms are now good, the beds are damaged, no hot water and a lot of mosquitoes in Rooms. I strongly don't recommend this resort.

We are a group of 6 people, 3 very senior citizens, 2 adults and 1 teenaged child. We visited the resort in the third week of October 2023 and stayed for 5 days. The booking was made through VGP sales team directly, hence got a reasonable discount to their own website price. The amount we paid was almost same to those of various website prices like MakeMyTrip, Agoda etc. Mr Shiva was very helpful in this regard. The biggest surprise we got when we checked in. We were upgraded from garden verandah to sea view rooms. That too, we got rooms 116 and 117, these are nearest to the sea (of course quite some distance, you have to cross a big lawn to reach their beach gate). I thought it should be a nice gesture to mention this in our review to convey my regards to the VGP sales team, specially Mr Shiva. The resort is vast. Apart from beach access, there are several pathways and alleys ending into various gardens, huge lawns and several other cottages. You get an out of town feeling by staying at Chennai, that is really wow. The rooms required maintenance which were promptly carried out as per our instructions, in our presence, like fixing the flush, some leaks and light replacement. A star is deducted for that in the resort rating but not from the overall rating. The restaurant is okay, menu is limited, prices are expensive but when compared with the location, they seem reasonable. There are indoor games and outdoor games facilities available. The resort gradually grows on you, it extends its charm slowly to make you cherish the memory for a long time.

The rooms are not well maintained I had to shift room at midnight as the AC was not working. The food is ok but please check your bill before paying. I had paid for some items which was not had by us. Extremely sorry to tell my stay there was pathetic not worth the money you pay. Also to mention the wifi doesn’t work.

Really good place to spend day outing with family and colleagues. Food we have added the menu as per our wishe its really superb and everyone enjoyed the food. Best place for team outing near to chennai. Speical mentioned Mr. Saravanan who co-ordinate well and arranged everything well. Thanks

Pros: Rooms are spacious and tidy. Large area to explore. Beach view. Lawn is well maintained. Cons: Food is terrible. Not much non veg option provided. Beds are smelly. Swimming pool is small and full of chlorine. Not allowed to beach after 8:00pm.

As I'm stayed in their property on 21st oct . The location and sceneries was awesome. Quick check in process by Mr. Kaja , Mr. Siddiq and Mr. Suresh person their works looks too professional and informed about all the amenities in the resort. I have worst experience with the house keeping workers who are very slum and answering irresponsible.. The restaurant food are not soo good not worth for money they are billing as extra I ordered only 3chappathi but it's billed 6 chapathi...very worst... No hospitality in serving food... No battery vehicle in the huge resort and not allowing auto...

Please don't choose this resort to relax and spend peaceful times. Because rooms were nasty and room full of mosquito. No fan also and AC also not working properly. Old resort without any maintenance. Outdoors and lawns were maintained descently and good for photoshoot

We had a family get together for 20 ppl, and it was a lot of fun. We got 6 hours on the property, including indoor games, beach access. Food with starter drinks, snacks and coffee tea, with 3 course dinner. Definitely recommend! Thanks to George for helping us.

The only good thing about the VGP resort is its well guarded private beach. I would strongly suggest you look for dining options outside of the resort as its kitchen services were very questionable ; Be it from receiving calls or delivering the right orders to the right room . The restaurant food quality was very low to the level of salt not being mixed evenly and absolutely no sugar in tea/coffee. If u want sugar you would have to make a call to the restaurant again. The room was good but we could enter our room after 2 hours of delay and the checkout process was another catastrophe! To sum it up, there are far better quality resorts with half the price than VGP resort !

After seeing too many mixed reviews, I was totally confused whether I should book this beach resort or not.. But finally we decided to take a risk of booking this resort... We didn't regret for that... Pros: If we are going with kids, then definitely a right place to spend.. They have indoor games, cycles etc., Lawns, beach and swimming pool are added advantage... Cons: Beach access is till 9pm but that's for our safety they claim.. Sea view rooms are very old.. Cost wise little bit costlier... Food cost is costly... Conclusion: Good for family with kids... Bachelor's I wouldn't think it would be worth for the stay..
