This is one of the oldest temple in the stretch of old Mahabalipuram road located in the heart of perungudi,.the Amman is more powerful and she protects the Perungudi residents for the past 300years.there is a history that once upon a time ,people in Perungudi were affected by cholera and many died because of that and after praying to vembuli amman, from that time to till now ,no one suffered and died because of cholera.if devoted with true mind, one will get the blessings of Amman with wish fulfilled.

One of the oldest temples in Chennai. This temple is located in Perungudi, Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) We have Vembuli Amman (Main Goddess) and Sengeni Amman along with Naga Devatha here. This temple also has a Mandapam. Vembuli Amman is more powerful and she protects the devotees for the past 300+ years. There is a history that once upon a time, people around perungudi were affected by cholera and many deceased because of the disease., After reaching this Temple and with the blessings of Vembuli Amman they all got cured. From that time till now, this temple and Amman are known for their powers.

What are the temple timings in the morning? Most of the days when I go at 10am it is already closed. Can anyone tell me morning timings of the temple?
