Also called the black market and NATO market in yesteryears, things started to bloom in the years after 2007-2008, when all NATO scrap material started to be dumped into this haven. Alongside scrap, usable goods and tools also started to come and locals started selling the same. Guns, daggers, army gadgets, compass, rifle-scopes, binoculars, army vests, para-cords, fire starters, tazer guns, DMS shoes, ammunition accessories, hardware goods and what not. Believe me if I were to write a list of available items it would not be possible. One can get almost everything from here. You could also get car opening tools (Japanese) packed in a small box very reasonable price. Still the market operates, but Chinese items are flooded mostly and you don't get original American stuff. People literally got cool stuff from here till 2015. Rates are nice, specially if you know how to bargain. Other shops such as confectioners selling candies, jams, biscuits, pickles, etc are also present selling Iranian goods. However, you can still make a good bargain if you are familiar with local language and know how to check the stuff, plus a reference could play a very pivotal role as most vendors don't show each and every product they have.

Almost everything is from China, some shopkeepers tell you that, but some try to sell Chinese products by telling that those are Russian. However there are a few pieces which are original. Product range is very limited. There is hunting Equipment, Wall clocks and decoration pieces and some camping equipment. But do try "Pattay Tikkay" which literally translates into "Hidden Barbecued Meet". It's actually Lamp's liver covered in fat and barbecued. It's creamy and very delicious.

You can find different kind of stuff here including dry fruits, bags garments , washroom accessories. You can also get perfumes body sprays , lotions, soaps and shampoos as well. Both local and imported quality stuff is available. One book shop is also there which has a lot of books with him including fictions and novels. Also some electronic shops are there as well.

Good Market for imported food etc. Please do not enter the market from Wrong Side (OUT) it creates a mess. you can buy camping stuff here. Dry fruit store inside the market is good.

This market is dedicated to imported items relating to kitchen, food, masonry, plumbing and so on. But please be sure that you have a fair idea of what costs what before coming here or you will drain your pocket in no time. And please note, I wont say that the shopkeepers proved cruel. Sitara market is located at the end of karkhano market area towards Warsak Dam Road Peshawar. Its a whole sale market and retail dealers are also found dealing in hunting, hiking, camping equipment, sun glasses, watches, Army Shoes, torches/emergency lights, tool kits, bags, mountaineering equipment. You can find all items in new and used quality. Prices are little on the higher side but negotiable and can be ended at better note. Almost all China made items are found in different varieties and price range. This market can be visited from 0900 hrs to 1800 hrs. Houses less parking place. Wheelchair is not accessible to all places.

One of the famous market of Hayatabad, where by you can find US Army left over stuff in Afghanistan, however now u hardly find that stuff as its mostly gone. However on a search spree you may find something worth yoir interest may be Sun glasses, wrist watches, water bottle, Pillows, and few eatables like jams, chocolate and toffees. Its a haphazard sort of place, with irregular shops and parking.. be there early in the morning around 10 AM to shop around relatively comfortably.

Sitara Market is losing its edge. Now we have duplicates and second grade chinese items. Though if you dig properly, you may find some genuine items.

All special and imported items available if you know where to look. Some useful household items as well as military grade items also available in different markets. I personally like electronic items, just like today i found a rare fluke multimeter.

An excellent place to visit for gadgets, tools, edibles and cosmetics.... although NATO container stuff is almost finished still one can find some really good and useful items if one knows what to look for and where to see. Stalls and shops are full of useful items

Whole Karkhanoo is a big business place, Sitara market has the same rates of items as Raja Bazar has. If you know Pashto you can bargain otherwise they know you are from outside and charge more.

I visited the Sitara market in Karkhanu. This market is equipped with traveling, armed forces, and daily used related stuff. I saw many imported high quality products but also there were chinese low quality things as well. This market is worth visiting.
