My experience with Lang Pioneer Village was during Applefest. What an amazing day! So many well informed costumed volunteers. The building and grounds were beautifully maintained.

My grandparents used to take me here when I was a child over 30 years ago...now I'm taking my kids here. Love it. Some how I'm drawn here as if this was the Era I should have been living....or maybe I did and got reincarnated into this face paced crazy lifestyle that my brain can't seem to catch up with lol

There is a rich variety of authentic historical buildings and artifacts here, graced by the presence of well-informed costumed guides. I was particularly intrigued by the world class weaving and loom exhibit. We spent a beautiful day here, stopping only to eat our picnic lunch.

What a fabulous place! It's not only well kept and well run, but it's overwhelmingly full of interesting and educational information. The accompanying map provided at the main gate was so helpful. The staff was lovely and really helped answer questions and addressed all the many nuances about pioneer life. My children were thrilled with Lang so this place will appeal to all kinds of folks! The canteen was well stocked and the food was delicious! The property was bigger than I had expected! The staff dressed in period outfits were such a nice touch. I will be back here with my family!!

We visited the village on July 2. There is free parking to the side. In the building where you pay the entrance fee is a short film and some explanation about the immigrants and the First Nations. In each building there is a person in late 19th century clothing who can give you some information about the building and its owners. You can ask questions that they will try to answer. We can recommend to visit this museum.

Great learning experience. The staff are very engaged and enjoy sharing and answering questions. The Grist Mill was interesting. Cards explaining the different machinery would have been helpful or a video showing the milling process ?

Incredible place and staff. The special events they offer such as lantern light are our preferred time to visit. Nothing wrong with any other time though.

We visited Lang Pioneer Village on Sunday for the Steam and Smoke show. They had all sort of of large machines such as tractors and construction equipment that run on steam/coal. This is a very cool place to learn how people used to live in the 1800s. The grounds are very clean and nicely groomed. We will definitely be back again this summer for one of their special events

Went with three grandchildren. Very reasonable price. Lots of shade and benches if you are traveling with those who need to rest from time to time The staff were ALL amazing. So informative, incredibly patient with the children. My grandkids are 14, 11 and 9 and they all had a great time. Picnic tables available if you want to bring a lunch. We will be back!

We went to the Lang pioneer village by lantern light event. It was really cool. Music, popcorn, horse and wagon rides and people in character to show and tell you about night time and evening routines. Great family event

A few less period characters on staff than I was expecting for a school fieldtrip, but the ones that were there were so good! My kids especially loved the teacher, tin smith & registry's printer 💖

My friends and I went to their Village by Lantern event and it was great I loved every minute of it. I hadn't been in years since elementary school but I highly recommend going back if at least just to relive those memories.

Such a beautiful place to visit. A great way to spend an afternoon or to experience one of their special events. I've been coming to this museum since I was a child and part of the reason I love history so much has to do with the way they bring it to life. You can even stop into the hotel for afternoon tea :D so fun! Also make sure you get out to see the mill that just outside the main village, very cool and you can see how it operates.

Amazing buildings, went here a few times in elementary, definitely the highlight of those years. General store has some amazing candy, gift shop is neat too, don't remember too much of what it's like in the summer but Christmas by candlelight is a wonderful festival/celebration.

This is one of the oldest heritage sites in Ontario. There is no power for most of the village as was the norm back then. It's a full village complete with everything like a hotel, post office, carpenters shop and community hall. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures as it was cold that night. We paid like 40 dollars for 4 people which I thought was reasonable. We got to see Santa and take pictures too - not very crowded and our daughter was mesmerized by him. We went for a horse and cart ride around the village. We enjoyed the evening and wish it wasn't that cold. They also had food and drinks on-site. Parking was free and on the grounds

Loved strolling around this extensive living museum, unfortunately closed that day. Would be cool to return to see the historical interpreters baking, making preserves, caring for the animals. The fall colours were in full force.

Great place to go wander for a day and have a picnic! Washroom facilities and picnic benches on-site. Cheap under $50 for a family of four with lots to see and talk about with the staff.

We visited with 2 young children. They were intrigued with the buildings, and the various interpreters did an excellent job of interacting with them. Qrace made the games wonderfully captivating. So the park in the middle of the village became the highlite as the children played croquet, walked on stilts, tossed rope rings, and tried throwing and catching rings with sticks. The covered picnic tables offered comfortable places to eat outside. A wonderful family location to visit as the exhibits have something for all ages!

Staff/volunteers are knowledgeable & friendly. The grounds are beautiful & there's lots to see. Bring your walking shoes & perhaps a lunch (though there is a canteen) as it can take anywhere from an hour to 4 to see everything & talk to everyone. But I'd advise you take your time & enjoy it, it's a wonderful place.

Beautiful place. Clean and not too busy. Very knowledgeable staff made the experience richer. Do yourself a favour and check this place out

Had great information and the staff were more than willing to share. The animals were also fun to interact with and they had period tools you could try out. Had a great time! Since there isn't much around food-wise for tourists I think it would be amazing if they offered a heritage cafe to have lunch/snack.

If someone wants to travel back in time, this is the right place to start. There is so much to learn and explore, the staff is very friendly and their informative sessions are easy to understand. Plan a day out with family and you won’t be disappointed. Also there are lots of picnic tables and access to clean washrooms.Me and my family went there this weekend and would definitely want to go again.

Wonderful interpretation of pioneer days. Every young and old should visit to learn of how the settlers had to live when coming to this land. Enjoyed every bit of it and learned a great amount of history. Actual homes to tour as well as businesses in the 1800s makes this Muesem worth seeing.
