While visiting Fredericksburg for my sister’s baby shower, I decided to book an appointment at Ava Laurenne. And honestly, I wasn’t expecting to say yes. I was concerned about the alteration logistics and still felt unsure about what I was looking for. But from the moment we entered the salon, my bridal consultant, Brooke, along with the entire Ava Laurenne team made the experience so memorable, customized, and efficient, that I ended up saying yes to my dream dress! Brooke was a fantastic listener and she expertly pulled a variety of dresses that each had an element of what I liked. Then, we narrowed it down and she pulled more based on my feedback. All of the gowns were amazing, but Brooke ended up pulling “the one” for me toward the end of our appointment. She was able to read how my body language transformed when I put on this gown and we all knew I was going to say yes as I stepped in front of the mirror! Brooke assuaged my worry of out of state alterations— as Ava Laurenne works with seamstresses across the US. I’ll be back to visit my sister and her new baby in early 2024 and will pick up my dress then and have it hemmed at home! I would absolutely recommend Ava Laurenne to any bride-to-be, just don’t be surprised if you end up saying YES at your first appointment. ☺️

What a wonderful experience My daughter invited me to her wedding dress shopping. I thought this was a women’s only experience but was honored that I was asked and so I went with little expectation of the event. What a wonderful experience! From walking in the door and being greeted to the celebration of choosing the right dress, this was a first-class experience. The building is on the corner of Princess Anne Street and William Street. Parking is street parking and can be a little challenging. As you enter you are greeted and introduced to the person designated as your guide for dress shopping. The building is an old converted bank that has a large open atrium and dresses on stands around the first floor and the 2nd story. Our guide brought out numerous dresses and helped our daughter try on and critique each dress. Finally deciding on one dress and celebrations ensued. They made us feel welcome and like a family throughout the whole process. It was a great time with wonderful people that made it a truly memorable time for a special day. I highly recommend this place if you are doing wedding dress shopping.

Working with Ava Laurenne was more than just getting my dream dress! I feel like I have joined a new family with how supportive and fun the team is! The day I got my dress, I was surrounded by some of my closest friends and family and Ava Laurenne made sure everything was super smooth and that I felt amazing and beautiful during the whole experience. Ava Laurenne is the most magical bridal store ever! There are so many reasons that so many brides travel from near and far to find the perfect dress here, but I’ll highlight my top 3: 1) The amazing staff!! From the moment you book your appointment and forever more, they make you feel like a princess. The girls truly get to know you as a person to help you find the right dress and make you feel so special every time you walk through the front door. They are patient, not pushy at all, and never make you feel rushed… even if your perfect dress was the third one that you tried on and your in denial trying on other dresses because they’re all so beautiful. 2) The jaw dropping aesthetic of the building and all the little touches make for a truly magical experience!! My fiancé bought the celebration package ahead of time as a sweet surprise and the bubbly, robe, and goodie bag were all amazing… not to mention the celebratory confetti popper! I got to record a sweet (and very emotional) message for him in their gorgeous phone booth which was a really special added touch. 3) All the perks that come with being an Ava Laurenne Bride so the magic never ends!! As an Ava Laurenne Bride, they truly treat you like family. I always feel so welcome and special when I pop in to pick up an accessory or just to sit in the magical forever lounge. If you’ve ever watched say yes to the dress (I know I have) it’s just like that. You will feel so so so special, and it’s not fake. Everyone at this place clearly likes working here and likes their job. My consultant Christine was stellar. Really listened to me and looked at my Pinterest board, picked a handful of dresses… dress number two was my dress. I’ll be honest, I didn’t believe people when they said “you will know it’s THE dress”, “you’ll cry”. Well friends, I did both. Another cool thing about this place is it’s in an old bank building and they kept some of the structures. One of them is the bank vault that has a whole bunch of snacks, and if you buy the dress you get to go in. Another one is a cool phone booth where you can dial a number and leave a message for your future spouse so they can somewhat be there with you sharing your “I got the dress” moment. I cried doing that too. It was an amazing experience. I never thought I’d be buying a wedding dress at all and this is something I will never forget. Worth the drive, worth the money, worth everything.

I would give 6 stars if I could....Being a bride comes with lots of planning, worries, and concerns, but the entire ALB family makes them all disappear as soon as you walk through their doors. My stylist, Brittany, welcomed me in with open arms despite the out-of-our-control factors that would lead to an unforgettable experience that day. Let me paint the picture for you - it's a warm, late August day, I am recovering from being sick, and just 30 minutes before my appointment I have a breakdown. 2023 has thrown a LOT of tests my way, and all I wanted was to feel pretty and not sick on a very special day (my first time trying on a wedding dress EVER!). My girls went into ALB and let Brittany know the situation and she was extremely understandable and accommodating. Eyes puffy and box of tissues already in hand, I was full of emotions walking in, and all of a sudden it's like a wave of calmness swept over me. Brittany sat with me and listened to every word I said. From wedding details, designs, styles, and how I was doing emotionally, she made me feel heard. I got to pop some bubbly, have a special moment with my girls, and felt the weight come off my shoulders. (On top of all of this, the AC happened to go out in the building that day and Brittany got multiple fans to make sure I was as comfortable as possible!) When I tell you that the THIRD dress I tried on was the one, I am not kidding. THAT'S HOW GOOD SHE IS!!!! Fast forward through more tears, a few more dresses for the fun of it, and trying on THE dress one more time, Brittany sat down with me so I could collect my emotions. I knew I would be coming back again soon to try the dress on one more time and say yes officially, but ALB gave me the special day I always dreamed about. As if my experience wasn't incredible already, little did I know I had stayed 30-45 minutes past closing and Brittany didn't mention or hint to it at all. She was fully focused on making sure I got the experience I deserved and didn't want me to feel rushed. SO! Here I am 1.5 months later, with Brittany again, and I got to say YES to the dress!!!!!!!! ALB, you've outdone yourself and Brittany, you make dreams come true. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!!

I got my wedding dress and veil from Ava Laurenne Bride for my May wedding and the entire experience was so wonderful and magical! I got the Princess Treatment Package when I first went to try on dresses and it was SO SO much fun and one of my favorite things I did for my bridal prep! The charcuterie board they made us was delicious, the champagne was delicious, and Abi was so amazing and fun to work with. The dress came in plenty of time for alterations, was absolutely beautiful, and I truly could not have asked for a better experience.

I had been to 2 bridal shops before my visit here and one after. None came close to my experience at ALB. I had Virginia as my stylist and there is a reason why she is so highly rated in other reviews. My entire family agreed that she is extremely good at her job. She listened to what I had to say, in terms of dresses, styles, designs, my wedding venue, theme, etc. I explained I loved floral and organic vibes and it wouldn't hurt if the dress had pockets. Every dress she pulled was beautiful but one dress "Jamie" stood above the rest. She's organic, comfortable, a-line and HAS POCKETS. Although I loved her I still wasn't sure about the purchase. Virginia knew my family and I traveled from Baltimore and even though she had to get to another appointment she asked another stylist (Nicole) to still assist us and help us try on gowns. Which was so thoughtful and caring. After many weeks, calls and Virginia's incredible patience with me, I purchased my wedding gown during the July sale! I am so thankful for the experience and support I received at ALB and am excited to pickup my dress and celebrate with my loved ones. Thank you Virginia and ALB for working with me!! I visited Ava Laurenne Bride back in April 2023. I've never been the type of woman to have a dream wedding dress in mind, so I definitely needed guidance to see what I liked and what I didn't like. Patty was my stylist and she was determined to help me find something that peaked my interest. She did an excellent job of finding a dress that appealed to me, especially since it wasn't anything that I had ever considered before. While I didn't choose that wedding dress, it served as a springboard to find my perfect wedding dress. I wouldn't have gotten to that point without Patty's input, so I am very grateful for that. Never in a million years would I have thought I would be made to feel so special by strangers and friends alike. Patty and Nicole went so far above any expectations I could have fathomed to make my wedding dress shopping day so incredibly special. Without having my mom able to join me, I was a bit sad and not sure I was feeling up to princess treatment. That changed as soon as I signed up for my princess day, encouraged by my friends and fiancee, as the boutique's team reached out immediately to start to get to know me. They listened. They listened very well. Walking into Ava Laurenne and being greeted immediately by Patty and Nicole on 6/4 I knew this was going to be an amazing day! They had planned out so many special moments, food, gifts, and memories. I do not want to share too many details because I want other future brides to have some elements of surprise as did I. An overwhelming and emotional day was made perfect by these wonderful human beings and my closest friends. Not only did I leave with my wedding dress, veil, and rehearsal dinner dress, I left with a heart filled with love and happiness; and memories that will stay with me for a lifetime. My experience at Ava Laurenne was the absolute best!! Everything was better than I ever expected it to be when shopping for a dress for my special day. I was a little nervous that I would have to settle for a dress that I wasn’t in love with since I had such a short turn around time before my wedding, but that was not the case at all! 8 years ago Ava Laurenne Bride was the first Bridal shop I had been introduced to as I became apart of the wedding industry designing and planning for clients and venues. Ever since the first day I walked into Ava Laurenne Bride I have never referred another bridal shop first or scheduled and appointment anywhere else first for my clients. The reason why is simply 2 rules. 1) You will go in thinking you know exactly why type of dress you want and you will fall in love with the complete opposite. 2) Every bride I have recommended Ava Laurenne to LITERALLY walk out having found their wedding dress that same day and first appointment. The experience you will have with the Ava team is one you will not find anywhere else. As I have almost grown with the team I can guarantee you that their outstanding team is genuine and there to ensure you find your dream dress and that you feel prepared, supported, and not stressed. I won't forget the day that Katie delivered one of my bride's dresses personally and had driven a few hours to make sure the dress was delivered on time and the measurements were correct on the bride before she left. The bride had to change her wedding plans last minute so that meant pushing the dress up by half of the year and Katie made it happen seamlessly. Also who doesn't want to take beautiful selfies in their jaw-dropping beautifully curated Bridal Shop? Sometimes you just want to sit in the floral vault or take a ride in the huge floral elevator that has a couch... Like where else can you get all of this and be treated like family and royalty? You won't regret becoming an Ava Laurenne Bride I promise.

I had such an amazing experience picking my dress at ALB! Brittany (I hope I’m spelling it right!) was INCREDIBLE and made finding the dress so much fun!! She helped me explore a few different styles and I fell so in love with my dress that I canceled my other appointments this weekend! I can’t say enough good things!! (Also totally recommend getting the celebration package, the champagne and little gifts really made the day extra special!)

I had such a wonderful experience at Ava Laurenne Bride that I will always recommend them to any future brides that I know! For one, the place was absolutely beautiful and well decorated, second I was very nervous going in but my stylist, Brooke made me feel comfortable as soon as I met with her. She really paid attention to the details that I was interested in, and she picked out SO many beautiful dresses that it was almost hard to pick THE one. I came in with an idea of the dress style I wanted, but ended up with a completely different style because she made me try on almost every style, and I’m so glad that she did because the dress style that I thought I’d get, I didn’t love on me! She also stayed in my budget and never tried to convince me to try on another dress outside of that. The whole experience was very special and memorable!!

They had a wide variety of styles from mermaid dresses to ballgowns and everything in between. The Rest of the staff was also very helpful and kind. I had the absolute BEST experience at Ava Laurenne. They were so responsive from the day i booked my appointment and were there to answer any questions i had. As soon as i walked in i felt like it was only me that mattered! We went up to the 3rd floor and it was gorgeous up there! We brought champagne and cups and ice buckets were provided. Ava Laurenne was my first and only stop on my wedding dress hunt. Because I hadn’t tried on dresses before, they were very patient and helped me try on a bunch of different styles within my budget. I came in with a perspective on what I thought I wanted, but when I tried it on, I realized it just wasn’t for me. Emily was my consultant and she helped me figure out the parts of various dresses that I did like, which helped her nail down a style that would be perfect for me. Ava was amazing! They made sure I felt like royalty picking out my wedding dress. I went for a black colored dress and they pulled out all of the stops. I tried on many, but ultimately, she helped tremendously by suggesting my dress basically be designed to my liking. I had the best experience finding my dress at Ava Laurenne! Not only is the building super cool to look at, they have so many dress options. I can’t remember the name of the woman who helped me, but she was amazing and so sweet.
