A nice monument to the memory of slaves. It is a short walk from the parking lot. At the same time there is a nice view of the "diamond" in the sea.

Free. free parking. Sign in English telling you about it. Slave memorial to the slaves who died on a ship that went down right off shore. View is pretty and can see diamond rock.

Beautiful place to visit in Le Diamant. A historic moment of importance for the people of Martinique Island in the memory of slaves. The landscape at sunset is breathtaking.

Beautiful scenery in this area but sad to read the story of the slaves who died in the ship wreck in 1830.

Between sunbathing on the beach and an excursion of the island, a good moment to acknowledge for the dark side of human history told in the form of sculptures. And please hold back on extravagant party pictures, as we had to experience on site. Or has that become the standard in the church too?

A small parking lot from with a walking platform where one will have a beautiful scenic view over the bay and the diamond rock. Information about the history and historical. Importance of this rock is present at several displays. Only few parking places are available, it might get crowded during peak hours.

Well situated memorial to the anonymous slaves that died due to a ship wreckage as well as more generally to slavery at the island. All information boards are also in English.

We came across this on the Diamond Island route drive. Definitely worth stopping at. The history of why the monument was created is very interesting and the views are beautiful.

Until you step out of the car, feel the wind and listen sound of the sea you won't know what this place means. Make a visit. You will sense the picture of what happened there

One of the most moving and memorable places I have ever visited. This tribute to the slaves who were lost at sea and those who survived the transatlantic crossing touched me to my core. I will definitely visit again.
