    I didn't understand why this was a stop on a tour. Simply put, it was an empty venue, and it needs some care. It was described as a tea house, built years ago, as a display of wealth. Below I've posted a photo of a tea house, that was built by a Vanderbilt, as a display of wealth, for entertaining guests. You see my confusion between the two ?

    I can't say that I liked it maybe because it was covered with decorations for the local Oktoberfest that they enjoy in june;)

    Nothing special or interesting to be quite frank. If you're planning on doing a day trip to Petropolis from Rio like we did to see sites like this, I'd suggest giving it a skip.

    Interesting place. Besides the palace, during especific wrekends there is also a market where one may have the opportunity to buy local products.
