Good for price if you can get a room with a window,

It's a very simple hotel, however the rooms are clean and has a nice breakfast. It's also close to the historical center, 10 minutes walking.

Hotel Serra da Estrela was an abnormal experience. If you expect to utilize elevators, forget about it. They do not have one. However, they do have a lot of stairs. The stairs where quite confusing too, because it seemed they where built on demand and without any previous planning ahaha. Moreover, they did not have air-conditioning in the rooms. However, the room was very pleasant. Also, there was no minibar Besides those downsides, the bed was great and the shower too. So if you are going there just to sleep and shower it is a great place to stay. In addition, the hotel service was quite good, especially the breakfast.

Staff was very nice and breakfast was good. However the rooms are a little pricy for the value you receive. There are also a lot of stairs to climb so if you need accessibility for wheelchairs or elderly people, this is not a great choice. The view from our room was good though.

Nice place to be when you visit Petrópolis no Rio de Janeiro. It is not too far from the central area where you find the historical place to visit.

Great hotel! Everytime I'm on Petropolis, I always stay at this hotel.
