Fun super club atmosphere with a twist of Wisconsin sports. Beautiful wooded grounds and outdoor patio with a lot of seating. We were there on a cooler evening and the management quickly turned on outdoor heaters to keep us comfortable.

Unfortunately the service has gone down hill dramatically! We have been coming for years - 40 or more times but this past will be our last. We waited 1.5 hrs before getting seated arriving early; with people behind us on the list being seated before us in parties of 2. Our waitress forgot about us entirely. The food came out before the sides, the water and condiments. We had to wave her down for the water and sides. It was awful. She blamed "the other girl" whoever that was as it was not her job to do that part? The fries were great as always so that's a plus but the fish breading was very thick so left mine for the garbage disposal, no left overs desired. Can't say much about the sides as we got those after the meal was delivered so no comment there. The alcoholic beverages where inexpensive but heavy on the bitters, very strange as they were known for their brandy old fashions in the past. It's so sad that our favorite place for years has diminished so much the past few times, we will not be back. I'm sure no one will care (as they could care less we were there tonight, as regulars, to begin with) but the nice thing is, there are plenty of other fish fries in the area and lake country that are outstanding that we will go to going forward.

This place is well known locally. The building it cute and the decor is rustic. The drinks are inexpensive ($5 old-fashioneds!) and the staff is friendly. The daily specials seemed ambitious (lamb curry / oysters on the half shell). We had the oysters and they were decent. They were served with cocktail sauce and lemon wedges…no horseradish though. The bread was average. Soup and salad were very run of the mill. They have a supper club style menu with nervous variations of broasted chicken and fish. I tried the one steak option. The NY Strip was decent, but under salted. The baked potato tasted a little off; no vegetable with the entree. The broasted chicken was ok with a good breading, but mediocre chicken. I’d recommend as a family-restaurant/ supper club for a low-key Friday. You won’t be wowed by the quality and execution, but it won’t get in the way of having a good night.

We purchased the cod fish fry the last two Fridays and it was tasty both times. The fish is not greasy at all and had a good flavor. The fries were crisp and seasoned well. Cole slaw was good and they give a nice amount of tartar sauce too. Rye bread on the side. Nice amount of food for $12.

very disappointed in the customer service. requested a reservation for a Friday evening for a retirement party with 8 people. Was instructed the only thing we could do was wait. Being this is a special occasion and having young children this was not feasible. No willingness to be flexible in a service industry. We will not consider this establishment in the future. management: this is not how you grow your customer base.... during difficult economic times this is the expenditure that is cut back on. good service is what keeps repeat business coming back.

There are not many places like this left in Wisconsin. This place has that supper club vibe to it. The staff greets you with that good old Wisconsin open arms charm. The bartender always gives you a good pour. And the food is delicious! What more do you need? You will always leave with a smile on your face knowing that you were truly appreciated as a customer♡

Solid choice in Pewaukee for lunch or dinner. Great location right on Pewaukee Lake. I had the Friday Clam Chowder soup and a Chicken Sandwich. The soup was tasty, I would order it again. The chicken sandwich was ok, not great, a little dry. The fries that came with it seemed.to come out of a bag, but were hot and crispy, just bland. I also had an Old Fashioned that was above average for a Supper Club.

Wonderful fish fry. On Fridays expect at least an hour wait. However fish fry is available everyday of the week!

First time here, on a Friday night, so opted for the fish fry. I believe that it is very challenging to create a fish fry that is unique and something remarkable. They are all pretty run of the mill, and this one was too. But, the food was hot and tasted fine. This place is LOUD. It is worth a try, but not good for a first date.

Average food and service. Good cocktails. The atmosphere is fantastic but there are better options from a food/ service perspective.

Wonderful outdoor area, excellent wait staff, and an authentic early era supper club. We had the Friday bluegill, as we do everywhere it's offered, and while we would recommend it, it's better at our favorite place.

We rented a VRBO lakehouse on Pewaukee Lake and the 5 O'Clock Club was our go-to place for dinner! We ate there two out of the five nights we stayed there. It was a fantastic WI Supper Club experience. Huge portions, great food, excellent service and on-point Brandy Old Fashioned cocktails!!! We will be back based on our experience....a great Pewaukee supper club!!

This was my second time here over the last 5 months. The first time I had a steak and it wasn't very good at all. $32.99 with mushrooms. On a scale of 1-10 I would say it was about a 5. The cod fish that I had the other was a 1. It looked like a corn dog. It was very dry, really bad. I said something to the the waitress and she was kind enough to remove it from my bill. I was not the only one that noticed how bad it was. The other people my party couldn't believe that was fish. When I broke open the fish,, absolutely no moisture. I most likely will not be coming back for a long time.

Our friends frequent the 5 O'clock Club and took us there for an early dinner on a Friday afternoon. The place was packed ar 3:00! We had a great waitress, who took great care of us. We all had fish, three of us had the baked, and it was delicious. The best baked fish I have eaten in years! One if us had the deep fried, it looked good, and he said it was. I loved the Cole slaw, it was in a vinegar and oil dressing. We will return!

Worst Restaurant Experience Ever! Will Not Be Back !! I’ve had better service, food, and hospitality at Fast food restaurants and Sports Bars ! Came about 4:30 , seated immediately .. not that busy . However Waitress ( older woman) seemed rushed .. not pleasant or welcoming .. acted almost as if we were a “ bother “ .. waters were brought but never asked if we wanted anything else to drink .. we ordered the fish fry .. the Cod was dry and had no flavor .. i’ve had way better Cod at Culver’s ! We were never checked on by this waitress .. had to flag her down to ask for a beverage . Worst of All , we had barely finished our meal and paid for the bill when a younger waitress came over and asked Us to LEAVE in order to make room for waiting customers !! What !! ?! In all my life, this has Never happened before!! How absolutely RUDE ! I see from previous reviews that I am not the first to voice this Complaint and apparently nothing has Changed ! We will Not be back , Do NOT recommend this place, and Will be telling others about this horrible experience !

I had the Walleye. It was very fishy and very dry. Which tells me it wasn't fresh, it was frozen. Too much batter on the fish as well. The fries were cooked just the way I like them. Well done. Jodi our server was amazing, nice and friendly, big smile.

Tried 5 O'clock Club for the first time, My wife had the steak and baked potato, I had the half rack with quarter fried chicken. It was just ok, I feel that everything was under seasoned and very bland all around. I probably would not return for a dinner meal. Service was good though. Be sure to call for reservations.

Yer gonna wait on a Friday Fish Fry.. But I'm telling you..ITS WORTH THE WAIT...Bluegill and The Perch Were AWESOME! So Yummy! Wait Staff Was Running, But We're On It ,And Wonderful. Go! You Won't Be Disappointed. The Interior Was Very Home Like. Very Wisconsin. I love This Place! I'd say, If you Don't want to wait in line.. Go Early, or Later. Or Call and Get Take Out. Looked Like Between 5 & 7:30/8 pm is the Busy Time. Don't be Afraid, People Waiting to be Seated, Were Nice and You May Meet New Friends. I Again, Loved This Place!

Arrive early on a Friday for a fish fry since they do fill up fast. This is one of the few restaurants still serving food in what looks to be a home like atmosphere. There is a bar, and the mixologist, John, would be happy to help your cares go away. All of the staff here is like a family, and they are wonderful. There is a wheel chair ramp, but be advised that they can get quite crowded. They are also one of the few places to have clam chowder. Everything I have eaten here is wonderful. There is also a deck outside in the summer. They also have a robust take-out for Fridays, especially.

This may be the best fish fry. I've ever had, however, it's so busy. It's aired for the waiter or waitress to keep up and refill your drinks. It's definitely worth the forty five minutes hour.Wait to get food.

Went out for a fish fry on Friday and the place was hopping. After a wait we got to our table were served real quickly. The fish fry (blue gill) was excellent and the portion was huge. I would definitely recommend.

Lovely old cozy restaurant….with views of the beautiful outdoors, with both inside and outside seatings. It was too cold to dine outside in November though. We ordered the Barbecue baby back ribs and The Classic cluck. The ribs was pretty decent but a little too sweet, and the Classic cluck lacked flavor. You have to try the French onion soup! It’s very good. And the ice cream platter, even though I not a huge fan of mint chocolate, this was absolutely amazing! It was made with fresh mint.

This place seems very family oriented and everyone there was very kind. This was my first time at this lovely restaurant and I got the grandma's salad, it was absolutely delicious! It was a very large salad for a decent price! The waitress was such a sweetheart 😊 I'll definitely come back to try some more of their delicious food. 😋

The 5-0 is my go to for a fish fry. Can't beat the fish and the tartar sauce is amazing. The chicken is delicious too. You can't go wrong with anything here. Highly recommended! It does get busy, so have a cocktail while you wait.

The only things missing from this authentic Supper Club was the salad bar and relish tray. The old fashioneds were made just right. They served a lot of tasty food too. The atmosphere was the highlight of the trip. From the coat rack near the door to the bar to get drinks before being seated to the multiple maze of rooms with sightly uneven thresholds indicating where they've added on through the decades. No need to go "up north" to find an authentic Supper Club atmosphere... This is it. (The only reason this wasn't 5 stars is that they offered Mexican food on Wednesdays - which isn't really traditional Supper Club fare. Ended up with the fish fry [served every day, not just Fridays] - which was tasty, however they served a sourdough-type of bread instead of the traditional rye bread...)

Loved it! Service was fabulous, salads exceeded expectations, nice freshly baked bread included; baked cod moist and flavorful, pork chop and ribs, tender and delicious. Atmosphere very nice, several small dining areas made it seem cozy and comfortable. Prices reasonable.

I was in Milwaukee for a bit and I was looking for some good wings. Came here on a recommendation from a co worker. Got 12 of them and let me tell you they were some of the best wings I have ever had. Crispy, juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The blue cheese, made in house, was the perfect compliment to the wings. 10/10 get the wings if you go. Also got a cod sandwich which was also absolutely amazing. Coming back if I am ever in the area.

The single best fish fry I’ve ever had. Portions were beyond generous, homemade everything… I had the bluegill and it was absolutely perfect. If you want the best Wisconsin fish fry experience around you have got to come here!!

  • 5/5 Carl L. 2 years ago on Google
Delicious and hot Friday fish fry does not disappoint!! Portions of Cod are Walleye were HUGE and so fresh and tasty. Sides of coleslaw and rye bread get you started. We visited at lunchtime and were seated immediately. Our server was great, friendly, and paced our meal perfectly. These folks know how to serve an awesome fish fry, and that explains why dinner wait times can be 90 minutes!!! There are no reservations.

Dinner on a Thursday night. Able to get a fish or shrimp fry on Thursday night. Perch and shrimp were very good. Vinegar based coleslaw was great. Drinks were strong. Fries were nothing special. No potato pancakes. Service was good.

We dine and do take out. My husband loves the grilled ham and cheese and the burgers. When I am craving a burger this is 1 of 2 places I get it from. We always check the to-go orders, on busy nights it is easy for a mistake to slip by. We haven’t had the chance to try their outdoors dining yet. We have also been here with a group and the service was excellent.

OK so first of all I live in West Allis so I cannot make it here often but we came for a Fish Fry because we had errands in Pewaukee and it was just so so yummy. They had a good (red) wine selection and some tasty beers for my Hubby. The lake view is fantastic!

  • 5/5 Matt B. 2 years ago on Google
Classic Wisconsin supper club feel. Our waitress was excellent and the food arrived quickly after ordering. Fish fry everyday! Good variety on the menu and the food quality was excellent.

  • 2/5 Matt H. 2 years ago on Google
Fish, including cod and walleye, were not good. Both had very little to no flavor at all. And neither tasted fresh. Drink options were limited and while strong pours, they were not very tasty. The seafood chowder had little flavor and was mostly potato. Service was good, waitress Amber was prompt and professional. We went at peak time, about 615, and expected much better food based on the crowd.

Very cold air blowing made for a mediocre experience. Food portions way too large. Tablecloths are filthy and need to go ... at the very least, remove to update decor. Servers were friendly.

Went for Friday fish fry. I had the bluegill. Fish was good but I was turned off when I bit into bones and a fin. This was my second visit. I wasn't impressed the first time but I thought I'd give it another chance. Food is okay. Nothing I have to run back to in a hurry.

Perfect place to enjoy excellent food and drinks! The only place to get a good fish fry! Everything on the menu is great! Cozy, supper club feel. When weather permits, the deck is the perfect spot to enjoy a drink with family & friends while you wait for your table. Super friendly & efficient staff! You will not be disappointed!
