I visited there yesterday and saw may people reviews regarding the place and looks like many of them didn’t know the story of that place so I thought to put it online here! Sodal Mandir is a must visit Temple in Jalandhar. It's a small temple and not in so much of limelight bcoz of his simplicity. I feel God presence at this place. Always close to my heart and this place connect me with God. Sodal Mela is bit crowded, but you will enjoy coming to it. Baba Sodal always fulfil everyone wishes so when you come here wish something from Baba.

Baba Sodal was born in a family of the Chadha clan of the Khatri caste in Jalandhar city. It is said that one day, Baba Sodal’s mother went to the nearby pond to wash clothes and Baba Sodal followed her despite being told repeatedly not to do so and go back home. Losing her temper, Baba Sodal's mother asked him to drown himself in the pond. Sodal asked her to repeat her words three times and as she did, he plunged into the water never to appear again. Some believe that he died on the spot, whereas some trust that he transformed into a snake and bored himself inside the earth. The Samadhi consisting of a painted portrait of Baba Sodal decorated with garland and rosaries is the main place of worship. There is a tank called Baba Sodal-da-Sarovar where pilgrims take a holy dip. Every year in mid September, a fair is held at the Samadhi on the occasion of Anant Chaturdashi. Pilgrims belonging to different religions come to this fair from different parts of the country. Jai Baba Sodal

Sodal Temple in Jalandhar is a famous temple of Baba Sodal. Temple is quite peaceful. The temple is well build and colourfully painted. There is greenery inside the temple.

My experience about this fair not bad nor good. We can see various stalls in a fair. These stalls sell different items such as toys,snacks,food,home products,decorative articles, jewellery,etc. We can see many game stalls in a fair. We can see many different amusement rides in a fair. Baki sab thik hai par train track se safety ka thoda khatra raheta hai

A very good fair is being held, whoever wants to see it can come and see that very good swings have also come.
