absolute worst place you can stay. i was literally robbed by the owner. checked in, saw bed bugs on the bed, in a smelly, dingy room, said i changed my mind and want to stay elsewhere. this all happened within 10 minutes. she said she cant give me a refund because “her boss is outside of the country and she needs his approval”. she owns the place. left such a bitter taste in my mouth that if even one person reads this and doesn’t stay then at least my $10 won’t have gone to waste.

Rudest woman I’ve ever met. Cancelled our booking without telling us then tried to blame us for it. No apology or help. The place stank as well ended up being grateful we didn’t have to stay.

Even though the location is solid and central it does not make up for the awful service. All three bathrooms and toilets were out of order and smelled horrendous. There is little to no security for the dorm or belongings. It is slap bang in the middle between The Reggae Bar and two night clubs/karaoke bars, so the noise and loudness make it extremely hard to sleep. Disgusting, unclean, mouldy, no air, no curtains for privacy.

Good value for money, everything was clean and the host was really nice. Bring some earplugs - it can get loud because of the Muay Thai Arena next to it.

Hello, I stayed here with a friend and you double booked the date and there was no room in the private rooms on Dec 19th. You said you would cancel the reservation and put us in a different room so we paid cash instead. I was still charged by agora on my credit card. Your number does not work. Can you please provide an email or different contact number so I can get a refund.

Worst place I've stayed at since backpacking India early 2000s. No windows, hidden in a dark sewage smelling alleyway between a reggae bar and a may Thai boxing venue. Needless to say, it gets loud. Even by Thai standards. Bathroom had warm water but smelling sewage, mould on the walls. Wc had to manually be stopped or water would continue endlessly. My friend's room had to be padlock locked as the normal lock was broken, and cockroaches frequented his bathroom. Unlike others i didn't notice bed bugs and bed was clean. However, biggest issue of this guesthouse is the incredibly sour attitude of the ladyboy running the place, unwilling to help out and carry out normal duties as laundry which was advertised in reception. To be fair, she was alone and seemed to work 24/7.

This place has been bought by a new person, and been renewed the furniture recently (October 2015) it feels clean, showers are hot and operational, beds mattress an furniture are new. The only downside is we are close the reggae bar witch play loud music, but it is to be expected with such a central location. 5 star for value for asking price 600bht private room, and the new owner is extremely helpful and quite charming.

WARNING: BED BUGS, COCKROACHES, NO STAFF We stayed in 2 private rooms this past week. This place doesn't deserve even 1 star. We arrived at 6pm, and no one was around to check us in for at least half an hour. She opened our doors to our rooms and then left. The bathroom door of one of our rooms was locked shut, so she decided to spartan kick it open, breaking a hole in the middle of the door. The room smelt like and was covered in mould, the airconditionning was broken, bathroom was dirty, no toilet paper was given, our bed frame was broken, and our bedsheets were stained and ripped. Because the airconditioner was broken, the pipes leading to it were leaking onto the floor soaking all of our stuff and the only space to get to the bed. While we were packing up to leave, cockroaches ran out of our bags- and they are not the only bugs there as we have bites from bedbugs too. I understand that this hostel is cheap, but please don't make the same mistake we did. If you are going to Phi Phi, spend the extra $5 or sleep outside... it would be better than Lucky Dorm.

We stayed two nights at lucky dorm and it was by far the worst place we stayed the whole trip. The receptionist was late so we had to sit outside with our bags for 20 minutes before being let into our room. Once in our room they were very very musty/moldy smelling and water was dripping from everywhere. One of the a/c machines didn't work as well. I also believe they have bed bugs. I got COVERED in bites while I was there. The sheets weren't really clean and the blankets were disgusting. Only plus side is that it's close to everything, but it's a small island so I would suggest finding somewhere else to stay.

The WORST experience ever! I have been travelling two months around Asia, and this Hotel was really bad. Cockroachs, humidity, dirty bathroom, but the worst problem was a music show of Heavy Metal music inside a dark little bar that the Hotel has next to the Reception between the rooms of all the guests. I do not mind about the simplicity and the size of the room, we just wanted to sleep. But it was impossible to sleep because they played music alive until 2.00am!!! The place is located in the city center but All the bars and restaurants near by closed at midnight!!... but the Hotel keep his music show Really loud. Only local people in that show. If they want to do a music show, they should not have a Hotel. The following morning the staff woke us up at 7am asking if we were going to do the check out that day (instead of waiting until 11am). That was ridiculous and unrespectful. Of course we complained about the noise but they did not want to give us a refund. They knew that the guests were going to complain after that crazy noise. We do not recommend to stay here to anyone.

Honestly too many beds in one room. Staff were coming in and out of the rooms frequently and the rooms were very close to loud bars - difficult to sleep and the beds were very hard. Very good, central location and one of the cheapest places around though.

Do not stay here! Absolutely disgusting hostel. The rooms had mold in the shower and on the walls. The smell was unbearable. We cancelled and chose to stay somewhere else. They wouldn't give a full refund even though we cancelled since it was a health hazard. Pay a little extra and stay in a nicer place. Kho phi phi is amazing and you dont want to ruin it staying there.

Room was very dirty. Booked 3 bed private room. Night club is on another side of the wall. Could not sleep normal. Don't recommend. It is better to spend few more $ for better hostel.

I had low expectations from reading the reviews before but was very pleasantly surprised. Nice enough room and shower with good air con and friendly staff. It also wasn't noisy while I stayed. Bring a blanket though..

Accused me of stealing a towel and took 200 baht from my deposit . Room made guantamo bay look like a luxurious resort. Pay a bit more money and stay somewhere nicer in Phi Phi, you won’t regret it

PLEASE DO NOT BOOK HERE! Music in the bar right next door which means you cannot get to sleep till gone 2am every single night. We was originally in Room 2 and the wall behind the bed was constantly wet with mould growing, large gaps in the bottom of the walls that let in bugs. We was moved onto Room 7 which was slightly bigger and had a window at least but same issues with the toliet smelling awful and the noise from the night club resulting in no sleep on nights we wanted to stay in. We almost missed our ferry because although check out was 11am, reception went for food before 10am and did not appear until long gone 11! Phi Phi is beautiful and I recommend coming 100% but spending a little more money on better accommodation.
