Great food! Great place! Friendly accommodating staff. 🥰 You can simply get seated and order on the phone with their online menu code on each table. We got bunch of customised pizzas and burgers. The pizza was fresh and tasty. The burger was good too! Came with sweet potato fries! Overall would definitely go back for this amazing service and meal. Prices are pretty reasonable as well. My personal fav is the chipotle based pizza with grilled chicken and peppers/jalapeño. Mojitos and Margaritas were fresh and quantity was okay. Definitely worth every penny spent👍🏼

Amazing GF pizza! The godfather and Florentine are my personal favorites. I do not recommend the gf garlic knots. However the coconut shrimp is divine, we had to get a second order when we finished them. Also, do not miss the tomato soup. It is a well loved recipe that never disappoints

Comfort food in a casual setting! Ok first things first - food was bomb! I went for a Saturday lunch and got the southwest burger (crispy chicken, provolone, lettuce, chipotle aioli). I’m a picky eater so I got this but it was actually really delicious. The best part is that they gave complimentary tomato soup that came in cute little espresso cups 🥹🥹 anyway the price came out to just about $31 including tip for two lunches! Service was also good and the waitress was nice. We sat outside so I can’t comment on the indoor seating situation. Overall the vibes are casual and the food was yummy!

We stopped in spur of the moment and were quickly seated. Ice water was brought to our table, and within minutes our server returned to take our order. The service was excellent; our waters were refilled quickly, the food was brought out hot, and each person we interacted with was very personable, perceptive, and quick. I ordered the Southwest Beyond burger, and it was delicious! I have no criticisms; it was juicy and hot, there were just the right amount of condiments, and the bread was fantastic. The french fries were done perfectly, and we couldn’t get enough. Rudi got the personal signature Margherita and loved it as much as I loved my burger. So we were both very full and very happy with our decisions. We were also pleased with the price, especially for the quality. We will definitely be back.

I was very disappointed with the food. The quality has seemed to go way down. The salad was good, but the sweet potato fries were incredibly soggy. The quesadilla and chicken sandwich weren’t good. I hope the quality will get better because I know this is a well loved place and I had better experiences in the past.

Omg this place is such a gem! The Food is AMAZING!!! My first time going and it did not disappoint!!! The gluten free options were many. I had the GF garlic cheesy bread and cheese pizza. By far the best ever!! The creamy tomato soup was also delicious!!

pretty aight food. Was super excited to try this place, but I left feeling apathetic with a tinge of disappointment. The food just felt anemic in terms of its flavor. Not bad just strikingly average. However, with a price tag of $15 for a burger and fries, I expect more than just average, you know? I got the black bean burger and sweet potato fries and the build your own pizza with shiitakes, caramelized onions, and peppers on pistachio pesto.

Consistent good food, gluten free and vegan options, good delivery and good website and app for ordering. Salads are fresh with many options. Gluten free pizza is very good and consistent, a flat thin crust style, but fresh and generally pretty consistent delivery times even during the tough times. Thanks Couch Tomato staff you have been great the last year or so.

Really a truly wonderful spot. The fish tacos used a mock fish fillet that I’ve never tried before and it was a wonderful texture without tasting weird to me (I don’t like the taste of meat or fish anymore). The sauce in the taco was absolutely delicious. I love how they use vegan spreads even in sandwiches that aren’t vegan. Con: they use the word “plant based” instead of vegan, which encourages stigma of the word vegan. Their vegan items are labeled “PB” in the menu, and I had to ask in order to figure out what that meant as there was no labeling.

When we first sat down, the employee who sat us down (Ben) brought us two tiny mugs full of tomato bisque. These mugs are complimentary to all guests. The soup was incredible! It was so good we ordered another bowl for my partner and I to share. We also ordered a Cesar salad, an order of buffalo wings, and a personal sized margarita pizza. The salad was large and extremely tasty. The buffalo wings were also excellent and had a sweet, tangy, and unique flavor. Both the salad and wings were “different” in their flavors, but in a good way. The pizza however was not good, which is ironically what we came there for. We have tried tons of different style of pizza (Chicago, New York, Neapolitan, etc.) and this was nothing like any of those. I was expecting a Neapolitan/wood fire taste since that’s what it looked like in photos, but the taste was not at all like that. The bottom of the pizza reminded me of a bagel and sauce/ tomato flavor was very off. It was watery and too sweet, which is surprising given that the tomato soup they serve is perfection. Looking back, I think it is possible all the pizzas are gluten free and that is part of why it tasted so strange to me. If I return in the future I will probably order a grilled cheese to go with the tomato soup instead. Despite not liking the pizza much, I still can’t help but give the place five stars based on the service. Our server Marcus was lovely. He was very kind, friendly, and patient. It was also a nice and quiet atmosphere despite all the tables being full. The restaurant also had great outdoor seating. Staff did not wear masks, but they did have a very clear hand sanitizer station when you entered and the restaurant felt very clean. I would love to come back the next time we visit Philly.

Plentiful vegan options in a bright bistro setting! My go-to order is the Craft Your Own Salad, as there are countless combinations to choose from. They used to have Fried "Calamari" with hearts of palm; unfortunately, it was removed from the menu, so I tried their hearts of palm "Fish" Tacos. I also love the Cheesy Breadsticks and the Atomic Veggie Sandwich. The Couch Tomato is a must-visit in Manayunk!

The food was wonderfully cooked! I ordered the Everything Salmon Salad and a cold brew coffee. Absolutely delicious! My husband ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich, saying it was the best he'd ever had. The service was terrific as well. Highly recommend!

we have had several good experiences here - both for dine in and takeout. you really cannot go wrong. the pizzas are phenomenal - they make their own dough in house! i love the salads - lots come topped with chicken or salmon, if that’s your thing. and they even have a ton of vegan options (though i cannot vouch for most of those). we typically sit upstairs. it’s also a very family friendly restaurant. also, when you dine in they typically give you a small and yummy serving of the tomato soup as an amuse bouche - a very nice touch!

First place I ate when I moved to Manayunk and I’ve eaten here like twice a week for like 3 years. Food is great it’s really quick when I need to grab something healthy and filling during or after work, delivery or pick up is quick. Lots of young kids working there but actually run well and feels like they care - Chic-fil-a type vibe. Plus they have a rewards program. Solid place. A+

One of my favorite restaurants in all of Philadelphia. I have dined in and picked up takeout. The food is consistently excellent, especially the signature grilled cheese and soup combination. Easily the most comforting and decadent combination of soup and sandwich out there. When dining in, there is a nice bistro area where service is top notch. When getting takeout, the food stays delicious as well. A must-visit restaurant when coming to Manayunk's main street.

The vibe is nice and everyone's food was really good. I had the Demeter salad (vegan stlye). The complimentary tomato soup is a great alternative to bread and butter. Alexis was a wonderful server. The fresh cut fries were good as well but could've been cooked a little harder. Definitely coming back! You know it's good when you're too busy eating and forget to take pictures. Oh, we were offered a paper menu which was so helpful and easier to make decisions with.

Three floors. I just couldnt imagine serving here. But there must be great management because the servers were plentiful and really great. Food was super fresh and so good. Salads were the best...huge! We had sandwiches ordered too. We ended up taking them because the salads were so filling.

Cute bistro with gluten free options. The food had great portion sizes and the service was quick. It's also not as expensive so it's a great place to eat at if you want drinks and GF pizza!

Couch tomato has been a roxborough staple for many years! They have it all - great food, booze, fresh “homemade” sodas. I don’t think their pizza is much to write home about but the salads and wraps and everything else is great. They may have the best tomato soup I’ve ever had from a restaurant. The cafe is downstairs and then their is a fancier dine-in area upstairs. Absolutely check this place out I’d you’ve never been! My favorite menu item to date is probably the food pyramid wrap. Strawberries and chicken together in a wrap? Sounds weird, right? Somehow it works and it’s delicious!

I reached out to Couch Tomato to cater a 60 person event that I hosted at the Radnor Hunt Races. They were excellent from start to finish! From the menu selection and planning of our tent, to staffing, set up and clean up, their service was top notch. Craig, the owner, made sure everything was perfect and his staff was a delight. The food was perfect! We had guests from 5 to 75 years old and with different dietary requests. I highly recommend the pulled BBQ sandwiches, and many guest commented that the mac and cheese was the best they've ever had! I highly recommend for any type of family gathering!

Ordered doordash soup because I have the flu. Good soup. Stayed hot. Technically they gave me arugula in my grilled cheese when i asked for no arugula but i forgive them because they were right about the arugula lowkey fire. Might be fever delirious but will be getting more tomato bisque. Shoutout the soup cooks and whoever had to drive my soup across philly to bring me my soup.

BEST gluten free pizza I’ve ever had. They are incredibly conscious of food allergies, and they are a great go-to spot for lunch and dinner. They have a build your own salad option which is my favorite!

  • 5/5 Elizabeth L. 7 months ago on Google
Best gluten-free hamburger/sandwich rolls. If they have "sold out" on the on-line menu, then you may have better luck making a call. Also the vegan coconut desert cake/cookie is out of this world

Heard about this place from a friend & it turned out even BETTER than I expected! The chipotle chicken chowder soup is to die for!!! My bf & I came here Saturday night for our anniversary because we heard such good things from a few different people. We loved it so much we came back Sunday to get lunch to go. The grilled cheese isn’t like anything I’ve ever had before. It was AMAZING! You have to try it!! I’ll definitely be coming back! Weather I drive 35 min for take out, or dining in, I can’t wait to have another meal here. Btw- the staff is exceptionally great! Everyone is incredibly kind, cool and helpful. You can tell the owners/managers really care about this place, because they seem like a family there. Thanks for such a great experience:)

Our first time dining here and we brought our family from out of town. We were a party of 11 and our waitress was amazing. Due to the size of our party we sat on the third floor and had an entire back corner to ourselves. Our waitress, Alexis, rand food and drinks from the first floor all the way up to us. The food is incredible! I cannot say enough at how delicious, fresh and outstanding all of our meals were. From appetizers, main entre to drinks, all was top notch. We will definitely return, what a happy find!

I love the couch tomato, it’s the best place to get salad in Manayunk. I always get the Anchor Cobb, always tastes delicious and fresh. I also recently got the pizza which was also very tasty. It reminds me of board walk pizza. I highly recommend!

I thought my family and I have found the best pizza near us, until we tried your pizza... I must say impressive. Whatever recipe you use, it's different for sure, the pizza is incredibly delicious. And the salad I had - super fresh! Now I know where to meet with friends for lunch next time I visit the area. Thank you!

I order frequently from Couch Tomato. The quality of their food is excellent and consistently so. The salads are incredible, pizza is delicious with a lot of interesting choices. I also live their soups. I am so glad this restaurant is in my neighborhood. Give it a try if you already haven’t. Also, delivery is really good

I really like CT and order from them about once a week. The food is fresh, well-made and tasty. Their pizza is (almost) always great. The only reason I gave it four and not five stars is that every once in awhile it seems like there was less care taken to preparing it. They're always responsive if there's a problem, pretty reliable and very friendly on the phone.

The Food Pyramid salad is so amazing…it’s a great mix of protein with plenty of chicken breast chunks and pecans, and the veggie and fruit combo of fresh, leafy, deep green spinach and bright red chopped strawberries is a sight and delight to take in visually and …well, you know, hungrily. I love the standard vinaigrette that tops it all off with tangy goodness. The bread that comes with it is the cherry on top. It’s great to dip in the vinaigrette that you might have left over. I keep wanting to try their soups and sandwiches but I can’t pass up the pyramid!!

Couch Tomato is amazing! I’ve been ordering their food (mainly sandwiches) for years, and they never fail to impress. Every single time I receive something from them, whatever the item be, it feels as if they went all out. The sandwiches are always stuffed a mile high and taste wonderful. Their pizza dough is also REALLY superb for those that are gluten free, which I have been through necessity for over a decade. The people that work there are also incredible, and have always been very friendly. The deliveries are always fast and the food is never missing anything or damaged in any way. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant. It’s such a great place to eat!!

My kids grew up going to Couch Tomato for dinner Thursday nights on the way home from school. They loved it. I loved it. It felt like a second home. Warm and cozy in the winter, outdoor seating in the summer, nice people, great food. The pizzas were always excellent and compensated (from the kids' point of view) for the fact that they always had to split a salad. Now that they're grown and gone, they still enjoy a visit to Couch Tomato when they're back in town. And they appreciate the salads as much as the pizzas.

  • 5/5 Meg O. 2 years ago on Google
LOVE this place! Great food. Especially if you’re looking to be a bit on the healthier side. YES they have “not as healthy” options. But their salads and pizzas, especially for me the GF & vegan cheese ones, are Amazing! Hopefully they’ll open a third location where I just moved to on DE!!!

We ordered lunch boxes for a Broker Open and they were so amazing We ordered an assortment of items and a few vegan items. The vegan person said it was the BEST DELI SANDWICH she had EVER eaten. We had to order 5 extra lunch boxes last minute and they did it easily. Will be eating there and utilizing them in the future. This restaurant is the BOMB!

LOVE this place. Amazing catering experience every time, we won't use anyone else for our home or business. The food and service are excellent. Huge selection of Local and Organic options. The owner and catering manager are amazing to work with, and will build any menu around your event or needs. From small to large jobs they have never disappointed. They also have an amazing selection of vegetarian and vegan options. Couch Tomato is the best!
