People's Park is an urban public park in central Davao City. The People's Park was created through the conversion of the old PTA Grounds or the Palaruang Panlunsod (lit. 'City Playground'), a sporting and events venue of the city, into a park. The conversion of the grounds into the "PTA Park" which costed ₱71 million was commenced in July 2006. The park had a soft opening in August 2007 during the Kadayawan festival. It was inaugurated on December 15, 2007 and was named "People's Park" which was chosen among the 918 entries of the "Name the Park" contest organized by the city government. The winning name was by Romeo Sardon, a retired engineer and seaman. In December 2007, the project was 90 percent complete, with the other 10 percent to be implemented by early 2008.

I loved this place not only because it has no entrance fee but also because it has so many trees, plants and pigeons all over the park. The architecture also of the durian structure is very nice. It has many cool sculptures like that of the Philippine Eagle and Fishing Village and the Flower Garden. Since there are a lot of trees everywhere, you’ll enjoy the cool breeze even in the middle of hot and sunny afternoon. You can also feed the pigeons by buying feeds from the locals. Once you have it and put the feeds on your hands the pigeons will come flying to you. I enjoyed this place and I wish there’s a place like this at my hometown so the children can enjoy playing outside instead of putting so much attention to their gadgets and in front of a television.

I love the nature inside the park lots of trees you won't feel the heat of the sun.. you can jog here, drink and eat. They have benches. They have grounds for kids to play. The fun part is that , it's free-no entrance fee.

Such a big park! Place is good for exercising, sightseeing, picnics, group works, and just bonding with fam or friends. No entrance fee, you just have to log-in. Park is well-maintained. Tons of sculptures representing Davao City and Philippines. Also, there are several spots where you can take pictures. At the entrance, Kuya is selling this charcoal ice cream, we were like “get out we are trying this!” It’s surprisingly good! Try it AFTER taking pictures, mmkaay? Hahaha

If you are searching for a comfortable place, I highly recommend here "People's Park" There are a running and walking zone and play ground. If you go to the place in the early morning, you can enjoy DANCE here. If you love taking pictures, there are a lot of statues and good spots. It's closed because of Covid-19 but a lot of Davao's people love this park♪

Clean, green, safe and a great "quick" escape from the hustle and bustle of the urban jungle. Once inside I can hardly notice that I am still in the middle of the city since the park is surrounded by tall and green trees. The air is fresh and the rainbow colored oval jogging/running tracks are filled with fitness bums from all walks of life especially early morning and late afternoon. There are food stalls beside the park including the Pasalubong Center. People's Park is indeed a Great place for families and friends to unwind and just relax. Also a must visit for tourists and travelers for a complete Davao City experience 👌

Great place to hang out with friends and family. Spacious area to roam around. Playground near the entrance area. People jog during early mornings or late afternoon. Some people go on a picnic. Some areas need maintenance. Clean restrooms

It's a relaxing place within the downtown, mostly visited by young couples dating. There's a durian-shaped building, a fish pond, and benches under the trees.

A great sanctuary if you want to just sit and enjoy alone or with the family. Lots of areas to take some photos with. No other activities as of this writing but hey, if your agenda is just to sit back and relax while reading a book or eating your favorite snack this is one of the best places to do that. Also take note, it's for free!

It was good and near in the Downtown (City). Sadly it was closed and the Museo Dabawenyo is contructed nearby. If you love to walk around 15 to 25mins will be good for you.

My favorite jogging walking and running place while in Davao City. Well- maintained and clean and very safe. The big old trees and the plants where able to keep the area cool. Very family oriented place and there is always a guard/Police near the entrance area to keep your mind at peace.

It's Free! One of the few free places to visit in Davao City. It's also heavily guarded so you feel really secured and protected. They close early when it rains to avoid slip/fall injury which i think is a great idea.

It is a good place to visit with your family, hang out with friends or even have your exercise routine. I would compare this place to Luneta park in Metro Manila the only difference is that It is clean, you wont see people eating inside or lying on the ground. There are a lot of benches where you can sit and enjoy chit chat with your companion. I would recommend going here if you come and visit davao. 😊👍

People's Park has always been one of the go-to places in Davao City. It's a perfect place for jogging every morning, just to unwind, and enjoy the fresh air and sceneries. This year, with the COVID-19 pandemic still ongoing, the Red Cross Davao, in partnership with the City Government of Davao, has made use of the park to provide people with easy and free vaccination services every weekends.

The place is pretty. Went here for a COVID19 booster shot, and I'm glad that it's free there and they're scheduled there every working day. But, the thing I'm most impressed is the fact that the park has well-maintained, clean public restrooms. Most public parks don't have that.. The place is clean overall. And, the safety there is well-kept, too, because of the tight security.

People's Park Davao is so relaxing. It has tall big trees within the area.. The people gets inside to exercise, walking, running and small and big groups are doing aerobics and zumba.. Or just talk and sit a while. Others Young and old just sit in the benches and feel the vibes by listening to the music..after a while of taking pictures for souvenirs.. The locales and tourists are enjoying this place : a MINI FOREST in the middle of the city. And ABOVE all its FREE! TRULY A PEOPLE'S PARK!🤩

The park is large and lovely. There's a big play area for kids, a children's library, lined and paved oval for jogging, lots of benches available for enjoying the scenery of the area. We stayed in a nearby hotel and we had our morning strolls here every after breakfast as there is fresh air, cool view, and they also have a fish pond to admire. If your lucky, you can also join the free zumba class being conducted at the park.

Davao City's People's Park is a delight to tourists like moi. At the entrance, you will be greeted by the staff and asked to register. A representative from local travel company will then offer a city tour services. Our group however declined since we will travel back to Manila that same day. So to maximize our park visit,we strolled around the park and enjoyed the scenery--most especially watching the pigeons gather around young kids feeding them then fly back to their nest.🙂 Outside the park, you can eat dirty icecream with lots of flavors to choose fron like durian, avocado & charcoal!

We were having our field trip in Davao City and went to People's Park for the first time. I was quite surprised because it closes 8:30 pm also you need to remove your facemask before entering for security and temperature purposes I guess. I am with my friends and my soon to be boyfriend because he's from Davao but I am from CDO. I love how the park is so clean too. You will not see any single trash. I haven't heard also catcalling me or my friends.

Upon its inauguration in December 2007, the park hosts 1,101 species of plants and trees. The main features of the People's park, the Durian Dome, which has a design inspired from the durian fruit. The Open Plaza hosts a rainbow walk through drive where some potted palms are displayed. The park hosts sculptures done by Mindanao artist Kublai Millan which depicts indigenous people. A dancing fountain is also present within the park's ground. It has been described as "one of the cleanest and greenest public parks" in the Philippines. The athletic oval of the old PTA Grounds was converted into a bricked walkway dubbed as "The Promenade". At the center of the walkway is a dancing fountain which is said to be the first in Mindanao and a footbridge

It was a fine day when I visited People's Park of Davao. The park is closed, and will open by 1:30pm, I don't know why but the staff are busy for some preparations that is why they are restricting visitors, I told them that I came from Bukidnon and my bus bound home will leave by 2PM. It was around 11:30AM when I arrived there. They looked at my ID and finally let me in. The park is clean and well maintained, bleachers are everywhere. Nature is preserved together with the landmarks relevant to what Davao can offee. They even have restrooms for kids. They also have a playground. This place is good fpr family picnic on a fine day, though parking is quiet limited outside the park.
