Whenever you say Naga, you also say Basilica. Every September, the Church is filled with people from all over Bicol as well from other Regions. The basilica is the home of Our Lady of Peñafrancia, the image of the Virgin Mary that was sculpted in 1710.

Very nice to visit. The inside of the church is warm and inviting and they have a souvenir shop as well. The bathroom cost is 5PHP however the bathrooms are not clean and do not have running water so please bring sanitary wipes. Overall a beautiful place to visit.

On Thursday, August 05, 2020 my friend and I went to Basilica. We observed that only church goers are allowed. People are not allowed to stay or walk around the church because of the pandemic. Usually, in the afternoon past 3 or 4 there are people exercising, families having picnic, couples enjoying quality time with their partners but due to our situation now, we need to make an adjustment and choose another safe place for our family, friends, and partners.

I was from a small parish church of San Antonio, Ocampo where I was born and my hometown. I was serving to that Parish before as a lector. then transfered to Naga looking for the better future This is the memorable and solemn church I love and the place to remember.I used to sing after my night shift duty and goes to our church when I was a former member of the daily morning mass schedule. Next to Basilica where I live and it was demolished my house I owned by the lot owner without consideration of the feelings and act of mischief, etc she does Now I'm still serving our lord Jesus Christ herein Metropolitan Cathedral Church as the Emmanuel Choir member

Beautiful house of Our Lady of Penafrancia. Quiet and good for meditation and rosary. The place is has beautiful glass art featuring mysteries of the rosary. Well made and beautiful the altar has changing color lighting that is pleaseing to the eye. Pilgrims can access Ina thu a stairwell at the back of the main altar. . Has english mass at 6PM. A must visit when in Naga.

Our Lady of Peñafrancia is a miraculous image of the Virgin Mary venerated in Naga City on the Philippines. The statue is housed at the Basilica of Peñafrancia where each September is held a novena in honor of the image as the principal Patroness and Queen of Bicol.

It is one of the few places in Naga City suitable for jogging and walking. It takes about 10 minutes to walk a lap. Although it is prohibited on Sundays, many people exercise there Monday through Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. Toilets cost 5 pesos.

Attended a wedding here. The place was huge! And airy. However, the ceiling fans were lacking. The wedding was very solemn. It’s a great place for religious gatherings. This is also where “Ina” is. A place to be for tourists :) The patio was spacious, you can bring you family here for the weekend to offer prayers. The place is also accessible for both commuters and pedestrians. The parking is huge! There is always a parking space.

It's always a nice experience to visit and pray here. We were lucky to have been able to attend the mass when we were there. The image of Ina is still closed off to the public but just being there is already heart warming enough. They've renovated the place so lining up to offer praises to Ina is now more convenient. Masses are offered in English, Filipino, and Bicol, depending on the schedule.

Solemn church. Nice choir but comment ko lang is natatalo ng sound system yung voice ng choir hehe sorry sa review. Nice people. Cheap transportation fares (jeep, tricycle, padyak). With blessings of holy water from the priest. Many devotees and tourists too. Viva La Virgen!

Nice place however since pandemic happened, you can't touch 'Ina' anymore; only the wooden door behind it.

The right place for spiritual activities, recreation (jogging, school projects), and resting. Make sure to maintain its peaceful, quiet, and clean environment.

We always make sure when going home to visit Mum & Dad's family in Pili to stop by and visit Ina at Basilica.. My understanding from the Pandemic, the public has not been allowed to touch her because of Health and safety protocols. Still recommend you visit if you are local Tourism.
