πŸ‘πŸ‘ It was such a breath of fresh air. We enjoyed all the dishes. Also, learned a lot of things about the cuisine and culture of the South. Pianggang Manok, Deep Fried Pampano in Sambal, Knicker Iced Treat & Coffee are a must try! People often mention chicken, dishes, good, cuisine, flavors, great, time, coconut, service, Mindanao,

ZAMBASULTA (Zamboanga-Sulu-Tawi Tawi) flavors in this southern mindanao based cuisine resto in Tomas Morato, Quezon City. Very nice ambience and very attentive chef and staff. Love their food as well - especially the Pianggang Manok - which is cooked with burnt coconut milk, giving it a gabi leaves like texture. The Eggplant Moussaka is melt in your mouth. And the Beef Kurma is good as well. And the Turmeric Rice, is perfect. The cocoroons are also exquisitely done, paired with coffee is a heavenly way to end the dinner. Try it and patronize our own country's rich selection of food and culture down south in this nice resto!πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Palm grill , lovely little restaurant. maybe the only one serving authentic Zamboanga region food around / close to Manila. Ordered black soup 1 serving good enough for two, don't miss the flambe ing of the marrow. main course ordered Pianggang manok-dominant coconut flavour with other flavours, very unlike other coconut sauce dishes, does not overwhelm. Food excellent, service excellent. don't know if it gets crowded can they manage, I was asked about dessert and steward never returned so the crowd managing comment. Enjoyed food with very chilled San Miguel. was explained about the food , and was checked if all was OK. Must try.

Definitely the perfect place to visit if you crave or wanting to try authentic Zambasulta cuisine. I loved their Chicken Pianggang paired with Turmeric Rice. I also enjoyed their Mango-Cocoroons. Will definitely go back and try their other items.

This restaurant serves southern mindanao cuisine particularly from the Zamboanga area. Food actually tasted authentic and gave me a sense of nostalgia as I had these food when I stayed for a year in Zamboanga City more than a decade ago. Food , ambiance, staff are all great, serving portion is small though. Spent around 1.5k for two.

The event that we scheduled in April 2023 went really well. We were impressed by the set up, the food, the staff, and the decorations, specially Jose Miguel, who was there checking on the progress and adjusting if needed to the specific situation. We found Jose Miguel to be professional, courteous, involved in making the event a success. I would recommend the place for an intimate gathering and take advantage of the photogenic areas around the restaurant.

I was blown away when I tried Southern Mindanao food. It was new, complex and delicious! This is a must when visiting Manila. Tiyula itum was so good, a very hearty soup! Eating in the restaurant made me realize how diverse Filipino food is.

Try their Siling Labuyo Chicken WARNING!!! Its very spicy and probably the spiciest chicken wing I've had. I also ordered the Cheesy eggplant it was great accompanying the chicken wings. The ambiance is nice and the servers are very friendly too. I give it a "Recommended" Score.

Was looking for a quick lunch in Morato and remembered that i have seen this resto online. We were curious to taste southern Mindanao cuisine and ordered the ones in the pic (forgot their names sorry!) Their server and head chef were really friendly and accommodating. Interior and safety is good. They serve your utensils in a cup of hot water. The Green chicken was the star. It was our favorite. Good with rice but i hope they added more sauce. The soup tasted unique. Like bulalo + tom yum mixed together. The wings with sauce was not our cup of tea. The sauce was leaning towards the taste of ketchup with flour and sugar. Overall it was worth a try. I hope they expand their menu soon they have like 8-12 dishes so it was not much choices. :) (Disclaimer: I am not much familiar with southern Mindanao dishes and this review is not meant to attack their cultural dishes 😊)

It was a nice meal, not too much, not heavy. In addition, I like the soup before the main dish comes. Thank you.

Met up with a high school friend and his family here. Chose this place because we had no time during our vacation to travel to Mindanao so we fortunately had this place to make up for it. We booked our reservations and they mentioned what would not be available on the menu beforehand. Their service was quick and we had some lychee water served with our meal. Our favorites were the turmeric rice, Tiyula Itum (synonymous to Bulalo) and the Beef Satti. If you are not sure what to order, the Dulang is their huge β€˜sampler’ platter of everything on their menu. There were Batik fabrics on sale for 600 and 2000 pesos. They also had Sulu Coffee available. The place is big enough to seat about 40 people (on the first floor). They had parking for about 3 cars.

I tried a few things here, the chicken pyanggang, the sambal squid, and the beef kurma. Out of all of them I think I liked the squid sambal the best, as the sambal had a good flavor. The chicken is their most famous dish, and it was okay, I think I would want more sauce. The serving is a little smaller than I expected, but overall it's fine

Food is mostly delicious, can recommend 2 or 3 of the dishes. Just slightly underwhelmed by the portions of some of them.

Embarked on a culinary journey to discover the heart and soul of Southern Mindanaoan cuisine at this hidden gem. Our voyage began with the Dulang, a splendid showcase of diverse flavors intricately woven into a tapestry of coconut milk and indigenous spices. It served as the perfect introduction, allowing us to savor a multitude of dishes without overwhelming the senses. A culinary symphony. The Locon Ala Zamboanga, a prawn masterpiece, showcased an impeccable balance of succulence and aromatic spices. The prawns, cooked to perfection, danced on the palate, leaving a lasting impression. Another delightful creation, the Ensaldang Talong, elegantly combined the richness of coconut milk with a subtle dance of vinegar-induced sourness. Each bite was a harmonious play of flavors. Beyond the culinary excellence, the waitstaff's hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to our dining experience. The restaurant's pet-friendly policy, embracing our furry companions, further enriched our time here. A culinary haven worth revisiting to explore the myriad of flavors still awaiting our discovery. Can't wait to immerse ourselves in more Southern Mindanaoan delights!

The food here is really delicious. We got their moussaka, beef and chicken in coconut cream and turmeric rice. The attendants are attentive and helpful and will definitely go back.

Little underwhelming. I was expecting strong flavourful dishes. It was more on the balanced subtle side. Ordered the famous green chicken, you can taste the Coconut, the green coating doesn't have much flavour. Turmeric rice is ok, the moussaka i wasn't a fan, the bread was sweet. The chef takes great pride, he serves guests and makes time to speak with you. I would try again maybe if in the area otherwise I think need to go south to experience the real stuff.

A showcase of some Mindanaoan's food heritage, with modern ethnic ambiance. Food is slightly pricey, be prepared to shell out 350pesos and up. Service is really accommodating. In particular, we were served a cold side dish, which we didn't expect. They were happy to serve us a different dish to compensate.

I've searched for a place like this for so many years, and I can say that it's worth the wait. The food here is just amazing. The ambience and service are also great. If you're in Quezon City, I highly recommend to try this place out. This is a Taste of Zamboanga in Quezon City

I like it here because of the ambiance, delicious food, and courteous servers. You don't have to ask for some attention from the server as he will automatically come to you to refill service water and they are very polite to ask whether plates are okay to be taken away too. Food are superb, no issue at all.

Food, service, and atmosphere was really good! Definitely a change of flavor from the usual Filipino food in Metro Manila. The menu prices isn’t updated here online so you might get shocked with the prices. Some portions are kind of small cos of inflation like a lot of places right now in the PH, but the taste amazing!

Food quality is top notch, but servings are on the smaller side, overall a place to recommend and try in Timog area. Parking spaces will be challenging to find at peak hours.

Absolutely great food! It's the first time I've tasted Mindanaoan food (ZamBaSulTa specifically) and it tasted better than what I imagined going into it. I have recommended this place already to several people and personally, I'm planning to go back some time to taste more of the place's menu.

We saw this on tiktok and decided to try it out since we were nearby. The food taste great but serving size is very small. 1 order can only feed 1 pax. Their menu choices is also small and when we went there some were already sold out. Ambiance is great and staffs were great and helpful also. I wish I couldve tried other dishes especially their best dishes next time.

If you're looking for an out of the box Filipino cuisine then Palm Grill is the place to be. Personal favorite is Satti, Piyanggang, and Cocoroons. Palm Grill features Western Mindanao and Sulu cuisines, which are known for their deep and fiery flavors. Seafood fares are a must try like Curacha and Pampano. Service is superb and ambience is casual and comfortable.

It's my first time to try Mindanao cuisine. I found the flavors a bit unusual for my taste. Staff was nice and the place has a nice ambiance.

They have the yummiest Turmeric rice in town (if your Tausug, I am sure this will remind you of Kyuning, well, it is kyuning guys haha). The beef Kulma and Green chicken (which is really Pyanggang with a sassy name) are yum. The Satti, if your desperate, it will do, it just don't have that thick yummy sauce consistency of the original Satti recipes from home. And whatever you do, don't try the Spicy Chicken! It's so spicy it overwhelms all the other spices in the chicken to the extent some part is already a bit bitter, it will feel like your just munching on a piece of Sili. But if you really want some kick, go for it. I was gonna rate 4, but that spicy chicken just ruined it for me.

The ambiance and flavors of the Muslim Southern Philippines, located in the convenience of urban Quezon City. The portions are good-sized and the staff's attention to guests is not found wanting. Of course, the flavors are authentically Tausug and remind oneself of the homeland. I will also not hesitate to bring my foreign guests here. A recommended place to consider eating out in, whenever one is in the Restaurant Row of South Triangle.

Food service is good. I called for curbside side parking and after 15mins, my order was good to go. The food in Palm Grill tastes like home. Try their satti!!! 😊

I felt like I dined in at a local carenderia. The food was not worth its price. They served very small portions and I felt like I was robbed and I should have spent my money in a fine dining restaurant than in Palm Grill. Overall, not worth it.
