The Abbey of Transfiguration is a Benedictine monastery located in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon. "The Abbey of Transfiguration is not just a place, it's a feeling. It's a feeling of peace, of joy, of belonging. It's a feeling that stays with you long after you leave." The architecture is stunning, blending modern and traditional Filipino elements. The chapel is particularly impressive, with its triangular shape and beautiful stained glass windows. The altar made of solid narra wood is also a work of art. The grounds are beautifully landscaped, and the view of the Bukidnon countryside is breathtaking. The atmosphere is peaceful and serene, providing a perfect place for meditation and reflection. The monks are welcoming and friendly, and visitors are invited to join in their daily routines of Mass, Liturgy of the Hours, and Eucharistic Adoration. Overall, the Abbey of Transfiguration is a must-visit destination for those seeking a spiritual retreat. The beauty of the architecture and the tranquility of the surroundings offer a unique and enriching experience. Whether you're a believer or not, the Abbey of Transfiguration is a place that will leave you with a feeling of peace and serenity that will stay with you long after you leave. I highly recommend visiting this beautiful and inspiring place.

One of the must-visits in the area, I enjoyed our quick trip here. It exudes so much serene aura and the place is so relaxing. The collection of the well-maintained Bonsai trees are magnificent. The history behind this place is interesting too. Building’s shape has made it unique. In the backyard, you will find tombstones of vital people to the place. Parking space is available for vehicle owners. There is a cafe and a souvenir shop inside too.

It is a solemn place of worship. No entrance fee. The guard will just ask the name. There is a holy mass during Sunday. It is a vast farm land. Madz Adel and bossing Alex toured us here. Rain poured heavily, just after we finished lightning the candle .

Very affordable accommodation, P1200/person per night but inckusive of breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner.. Hooh.. So much food and overflowing free coffee.. Friendly and helpful people, from ordinary staff, vollunteers and priest. Thumbs up!

A solemn and beautiful place. The church is an iconic piece of architecture surrounded by greens. The steps leading to the elevated church is adorned with awesome bonsai trees. The church interior is simple and minimalist but it's nothing short of stunning. It has this zen feel, even made more "Japanese" because of the bonsai trees lined outside the church. The main altar is quite unique because they used a huge natural rock to serve as altar table.

We visited the place for a wedding. The place is secluded yet so beautiful. Though Google Maps navigation gave us a hard time reaching this place, it was worth it. I hope that I can revisit the Abbey with my family soon!

Our family loves this place. if you wanted a solemn Sunday Mass, this is the best place to be in. The scenery is quite gorgeous with the Architecture. I heard they have β€œbreakfast with the Monks” here but i hadnt tried it yet. Locals from all over the province gathered here to attend the mass and Catholic celebrations with the Monks, Priests and Nuns. Highly recommended to someone who dont like overcrowded churches and who like just to visit.

This is a good place when you seek peace and refuge. Away from noisy crowd in a hilltop of San Jose, Bukidnon, the place is quiet and solemn. The monastery is just a small place, it has a unique bell tower and nice convent. The place is equipped with comfort rooms and huge parking area. It has a very beautiful landscape. Perfect for wedding reception and other solemn events.

If you want peace and tranquility. This is the place for you. Just be quiet around here since the monks prays from time to time. There is also catholic mass every Sunday 8:00AM. You will never go wrong with nature, this place is good for your soul. They also have a great coffee shop for a very affordable price. You can bring home something to your friends and loveones items from their gift shop. Plus, this is just less than 15minutes aways from Malaybalay City. The road is paved good, and the parking is really great! Comfort room is A+. You can also book for a retreat here.

A quiet place to reflect, away from the busy fast paced lives we live. Enjoy the majestic views around the monastery and be greeted by the hospitality of the Benedictine monks and sisters. You can book a room for 900 or 1000 pesos per night. It's a good place to find inner peace and quiet.

Definitely is one of the must visit when you travel in Malaybalay Bukidnon. Their place is sooo cool and they have their famous MONK'S COFFEE which you can try for free! Because they have complimentary coffee in their pantry πŸ˜β˜• though not so sure if this is still open in public. They also have their coffee shop and souvenirs station. No entrance fee and is open for everyone.
