Nothing much to see in this tiny lake. Could be better if there are shades around the water. The Mayon is viewable from the area, although there are building obsctructions. Could be a great place to take shots of the famous volcano using a drone.

This place is good for dating, exploring, bonding with your friends and families. You will experience the beautiful scenery like you never experience before. The lake is clean and good for photoshoot for wedding and debut.

The lake is small but you can do a lot of activities. The view of Mayon is great. At night, you can see the glow from lava flow.

Beautiful area, we paid an entrance of 100 per head here and 20 for the parking. They have a view of Mayon in front of the lake and they stores inside too.

One of the loveliest places in Albay because of the cabana tour ride we have. It would give you the closer encounter with the Mt. Mayon. Please take note that morning is the best time to visit this place.

This is a more recent sidetrip destination for your Albay tour; looks like the place is a rehabilitated small marshy depression well within the local commune; offers a great view of the Mt. Mayon sans the ever present clouds. Site is sufficiently “developed” as a events and recreation/sightseeing destination with lots of IGiable corners and attractions including raft rides thing, of course for fee…all for the gram; a serviced resto operates for your full meals and few food carts for average drinks and snacks take aways; a shop offers Bicol souvenir and pasalubong items but selections are limited; plenty of parking space and accessible from the main AH26 pan-philippine hiway thought finding the side route is a bit tricky. For caffeine dummies wanting to just chill and chase the day away while enjoying the i-cone-ic piece of nature…unfortunately no pit of good stuff by far...sad:(

pretty accessible if you plan on commuting from downtown legazpi. there are lots of instructions online how to get here so i would suggest looking for it bc i forgot the exact jeepney route 😅 tricycles are also easily accessible from the main road to sumlang lake and vice versa here you can go sight seeing, drink coffee while looking at the grandiose mayon, take a lot of ig worthy pics and go ride the balsa (wc i didnt try). they have a cafe and a restaurant if you ever feel hungry or the need for a caffeine fix. only ordered an iced coffee in their cafe. nothing too special. it was so-so. went during the christmas holidays (november 😆) and their lights and decorations are alrdy up. love the lights in the night!

Sumlang Lake is a small park with not many tourists, but it does not affect its beauty. The lake is clear and the reflection of Marong volcano is very beautiful. The boat (bamboo rows) in the lake is another flavor, it is worth playing.

The lake reminds of Taal and Bulusan volcanoes. The lakes add an aesthetic value to the already beautiful view of Daragang Magayon which is shy at this point when I took the pictures.

Love the lakeside view of this restaurant. Ambience is very relaxing. Mt. Mayon was a bit shy on the day of our visit, hiding behind the clouds. Lots of Huts around the lake where you can use and stay, chill and relax. They got souvenir shop, cafe and restaurant. This place has entrance fee of P100/adult. But nevertheless, my friends and I were able to enjoy our time within the vicinity of Sumlang Lake. They got plenty of parking space in the area. They have kayaks, balsa if you want to go around the lake.

Honestly, I do not know what to do here. The whole vibe is about Sumlang Lake but none of the features of the place involves Sumlang Lake. The place is "developed" in a sense that the facilities are there, but somehow its lacking. There isn't really much to do aside from looking at the lake and buying pasalubong. If a casual visitor, a P100 (visited @yr 2023) entrance fee is quite expensive just to see the lake.

This a small freshwater lake (9-ha) located in Camalig, Albay, about 30-min drive from Daraga, Albay. It affords a magnificent view of Mayon Volcano, and offers a raft riding experience on bamboo rafts provided with rattan seats and fixtures. You can also arrange to have your special meal on board these rafts but prior arrangements have to be made with the management/operator of the tourist center.

Place where you can see the beauty and reflection of Mayon

  • 5/5 Beverly D. 2 years ago on Google
Sumlang Lake is also a great place to see Mayon Volcano. The park is where one can have an unobstructed view of Mayon, unwind and take Facebook or Instagram-worthy photos. There is also a souvenir shop showcasing the province’s trades like handwoven bags, baskets and placemats, homemade Pili Nuts and flavored wines. You can even rent a balsa, kayak or even a floating cottage.

Been here in 2018. Came back in 2022. This place is been " developed " ...... There where it was crazy and special to relax on a bamboo floating chair and enjoy the view of Mayon, the completely rebuild the place. They cut the lake in 2 build a road in between, built luxury restaurant and resort and fancy places to sit. Entrance is expensive. It's nice... but all charme is gone and we left in 5 minutes. Sad story.

Beautiful, peaceful place if there are not many people. Lacks food choices and activities though. Aside from kayaking and bamboo rafting, there's not much else to do. But lights and sceneries are really good for Instagram. Also, the tables and seats are properly placed apart so you can have privacy.
