Definitely not an easy mountain to climb. Took us more than 5 hours to reach the summit. Summit's cold. Make sure to get a permit if you plan to climb this.

Mt. Isarog via Panicuason trail. This mountain is considered to have a difficulty of 5/9 in climbability. It is a total wilderness full of thrill and adventures. The trail is divided into 4 camps going to the summit. You can reach the camp 1 from jump off point within a two hour trek with minimum gradient assault. From camp 1-2 is a stiffer assault and can be done within an hour. Camp 2-3 is far more assault and is another one hour trek. Camp 3-4 is a bit shorter yet another stiff assault. Camp 4- summit can be reached within 1.5 hr trek. At the summit you may see the eastern sea board of Camarines Sur and Albay and the Catanduanes as well. You may see from the view deck the Mt. Mayon, Mt.Masaraga and Mt. Malinao of Albay. The descend can be done within 3-4hrs trek. You may also visit 4 falls along the trail if you want to. Surely this experience is very suitable for nature lovers and adventure seekers out there.

Mt Isarog is bordered by 6 municipalities and 1 city in camarines sur: pili, naga city, calabanga, Tinambac, Goa, Tigaon and Ocampo. The summit being the point of border intersection of the surrounding municipalities/city. There are tourist spots around mt isarog: the Panicuason hot spring resort in naga city, the Hibiscus spring resort and Deer farm both in ocampo.

This is the one of the tourist spot here in the Philippines. Base on my research. Dominating Camarines Sur’s landscape is Mt Isarog with (1966m), Bicol’s (dormant) second-highest volcano. From Panicuason (pan-ee-kwa-sone), a steep, half-hour walk along a rough road (passable if it’s dry, but a regular car will struggle) leads to the entrance of Mt Isarog National Park. Pay the admission fee at the base of the mountain. To the right, a short walk leads down some very steep stone steps to Malabsay Falls, where you can swim with a view of Mt Isarog – the experience is amazing. At Panicuason, Mt Isarog Hot Springs has five natural hot-to-tepid pools – a nice way to relax after a trek in the park. The springs are a 1.3km walk off the main road, just before the road to the national park. So what you are waiting for?

I had conquered Mt. Isarog 2 months ago, it offers our major types of natural habitat or vegetation: from the warm grassland and lowland forest to the wet and cool climate of montane forest. We set up our base camp at Camp 4, it was freezin.

Accessible from Naga or Ocampo or Tigaon . A haven for nature lover. A dormant volcano. I suggest go to Tigaon consocep and check the deer farm.
