Hi 👋 friends, please don't mistake this hotel for the previous and great Sankara Vilas. Everything from management to customer friendly relations has changed here. The price of 2 idli is Rs.50, and if you ask for another cup of sambar, they simply say NO. Even if you are ready to pay an extra amount, then also they don't serve you another cup of sambar. The taste of coconut chutney and ginger chutney is just normal. Sambar is not up to the mark. Filter coffee is somewhat better.

Servicing is good. Paneer pulav is ok and cashew nut pulav is nice. Less quantity compared with other hotels. High prices.

The sambar is very tasty. Service is very good & fast. But dishes are overpriced.

One of the oldest hotels in Guntur. Filter coffee is very good. Various items available in breakfast and lunch. Curries point to available. You Can pay through various wallets like Paytm, phone pe, google pe and BHIM. Very clean and tidy. Parcel service is also available.

A very homely place with good food menu. My parents had south Indian thali. While it had many items at once, the taste was not that good. Maybe because we are not south India. Other people might find it delicious. I had chinese and it was really delicious and upto the mark. The quantity was more than sufficient for a single person. It might suffice two people tbh. The restaurant was neat and clean. Staff was cooperative and had clean washrooms too. Price was a little high but then inflation is hitting India like crazy so kya kare 😅😂🤣

Quality is good👌😁 Staff Response is good compare from last time They have changed the all staff.. i think so Idly, sambar must try heere..😅 Uttapam also good taste ... 😀😀😀 So finally my rating i can give 8 for 10🤗

Sri Sankara Vilas Restaurant is one of the oldest and famous restaurant for it's all day tiffins ( Breakfast) and Meals (Sounth Indian and North Indian) in Guntur. They have two dinning halls non ac dining hall at ground floor and ac dining hall in first floor. Main kitchen and parcel counters are located in ground floor. All service staffs and other staffs who is working at parcel counters and cash counter are friendly. It is very famous for it's hot and fresh order to make breakfast and it's accompaniments. Meals also famous. All the prices are in moderate budget.

The food is good( for dinner options). Wholly vegetarian hotel with ac and non AC seating available. The service at ac hotel in the first floor is better than that of non AC . As of lunch we ordered veg meals with is not so good for the price offered.

Currently Service at table not available at this hotel. Self-service, Take-away and delivery through online apps available. Food is good but not so good as previously.

One of the oldest establishments in Guntur city... The food tastes awesome especially their coconut and peanut chutney... I just can't get enough of it.. There are 100's of varieties and each one has its unique taste.. A must visit eatery.

I got ordered methi chaman .. & pulka.. I don't who designed that recipe of methi chaman.. too sweet.. it's look like.. milletcurdrice.. hell thing is methichaman is kasmiri cuisine .. that said it's Southindian cuisine.. I got too distrubeb my lunch.. still my stomach & mouth totally upset.. of sweetness.. waste.. of dish.. won't prefer of this methi chaman..

Disappointed. Two people went for lunch and thez charged 500 Rs for one special and one normal meals. While the prices are high, quality is very bad. Customer service is pathetic. Once you sit at the table you need to keep calling the person to clean it up.. they cleaned it with the last paper paper left on our table (not with water) and quickly sped walk for his next work. Another person came to take the order and we told him the table wasn't clean by showing few food crumbs and he threw it our with his hands and used the same hand for pouring water.. Not proper hygiene at all. Food quality became poor. After all the disappointment with customer service, we wished for delicious lunch and that didn't happen.. If you plan to dine here, better go for Geetha cafe

Tried ghee karam dosa it was delicious.....and It was good... pleasent ambiance with spacious seating and it feels peaceful to spend some time with family ... It's a pure veg hotel with best tiffins available...we also tried badam milk, veg fried rice .. they're not that impressive

Best hotel once upon a Time but now the quality is reduced and the coconut chutney is not available. Plates are also changed . My recent visit not that much satisfied.

Although it's family friendly, the price seemed high. There is no parking space. The food tasted good but it was spicy. Special mention to their Plain Hung Curd which tasted homely👍👍 Service is not too fast not too slow. We ordered Veg thali and was immediately served but had to wait to get rice served, even after 10mins of finishing the roti which was given with the thali at the beginning. One can't keep eating just the curries without rice, right? You will see the waiters moving around but only too busy serving others and you got to quickly get hold of someone and ask for what you wanna eat. Overall it was a good experience!!

Tiffins are good. Nice and friendly people. Comes within 5 mins of ordering. They continuously serve you sambar, chutney, curry etc. A/c hall is not operational for tiffins.

A/c dining hall and non AC also there, busy area. Food quality is good and tasty too. Had meals was good but rice was not good as it was not boiled properly. Good ambiance and service was good

I visited ac restaurant in 1st floor at 9.30pm Ambience is good. Taste is good But whatever items we ask, they say most of them are not available. Need to make sure to have all items available in menu atleast until 10pm

Today, the authentic flavour of Shankar villas is missed. Old is only excellent for gold, but not now.

Decent place, good for families & large groups. Food though, isn't that great. They have a long legacy but over time the food taste has come down. Not worth the money we are paying

The legacy and history of the place is untouched. I went after almost 10 years to this place, the taste and ambience is untouched. Had Masala Dosa, Poori & other stuff, badam milk is tasty.

They are serving people with uncooked food.....they are looting people very badly......worst behaviour of the cooks.... Not worthy of money spent.....such a worst hotel

Nice ambience, Food tastes good, The only thing is :) When we order one flavour they serve the opposite flavor or they say it's unavailable. High Rush at lunch time. Having a place to sit is very difficult at rush time.

I have been to shankar vilas many times but today it was disappointing. I ordered soup. Ordering soup in shankar vilas was a bad idea. The sweet corn soup didn't have enough salt or pepper. Then I ordered veg manchurian which was quite nice and then the mushroom pulav which would actually be veg dum rice accompanied with mushroom curry. The mushroom was actually not good and couldn't eat it as it was clearly stale mushroom cooked and not fresh ones. We asked the supervisor there to taste it. To our surprise he told it was alright and we were charged for the bill too.. Deeply disappointed with shankar vilas.

Hi friends taste was good But they are charging single vada price as sambar Idly price This like is not good by management I faced three times and clerk is saying that they don't know item code. Not acceptable one

If you want to eat just oil food you can visit they don't follow customers instructions just they'll act please don't visit 🙏 avoid eating there and you can opt better hotels instead of this

Here the cost of full meals parcel is 220/-. That food is more than sufficient to two members. Rice and curries are prepared very well and dishes are too good with Andhra style. Hospitality also good. I usually take away here. one of the best veg meals in Guntur. But parking space will be available for 2 wheelers only and that to limited. I don't have any experience on dine in and other eatery items.

I never thought the food would be of very bad quality.. very poor quality of food is served in this Hotel.. I really don't understand why the hell it is so damn famous.. very bad staff.. not ready to accept the bad quality. this famous hotel is so hygienic, that they provide soap at the hand wash and the food is so expensive... I really don't recommend this hotel for anyone.. especially if you are from a middle class. Even if you are doing well why would anyone want to through money in a dustbin... Disgusting staff... Very bad hotel..

It's always good. Eating from my childhood ... It's our Guntur's Pride ... Thanks to Shankar Vilas management and staff for your great hospitality and quality of food you are being providing from my childhood.. You can take your family and friends and kids for tasty Breakfast, idly Dosa Bonda vada chapati paratha and veggie meals.. Regards

Previously it was good.Now a days cost is good but not good quality.Veg meals is especially not at all good.

Meals....yummy...filling...dont expect great service, old place, therefore just ensure you pay attention only to the food and taste...sambar too is excellent

I've no words to say about Hotel Sri Sankara Villas because every day when I visit they wish me with warm wishes and coming to the taste of the food it's really yummy. " Chole Puri" my all time favourite.

You will find the best south indian meals here.Generally you might not like some items in the full meals but here every cuisine item is at its best.Well Shankar villas didn't get this popularity recently but there for a very long time.

I like the normal dining area in ground floor than the AC restaurant on the 1st floor. Simple vegetarian food should have similar ambience. While the service at 1st floor sucks, it just feel value for money, normal dining section had much faster service. If you ride your 4wheeler, you'll have issues with parking

Based on my recent visit on 26-04-2022: Good food, tastes okay, decent prices. Good seating area. AC section and non AC section seating available separately. Serving staff are good. South Indian, North Indian, and tiffins, juices and milkshakes are available.

One of the best hotels in Guntur for vegetarian food including Tiffins meals and Desserts. The ambience is good with clean maintenance and spacious dining area. All the tiffins tastes good especially sambar idli and dosas. Located at the heart of the city, Brodipet, this hotel is a must dine eatery for tasty veg meals.

We have ordered talli,and gobi Manchuria thali is nice, but for less spicy eating people, it is spicy I have ordered gobi Manchuria (wet) is not at all good . I have never seen this kind of wet Manchuria
