Honestly I don’t know if I should thank TOI or not. I went to them months ago in agonizing pain for my shoulder. Dr. Corbie or whatever her name is insisted she would not help me further until I finished PT. Fast forward to now I gave up on the PT and got help elsewhere. Im now at home recovering from surgery of a life threatening tumor in my neck that was slowly killing me and also creating the pain in my shoulder. So thanks Dr. C really appreciate your concern for young patients. You all probably thought I was just drug chasing. Very cool.

They do a poor job with scheduling. I had seen Dr. Thompson in the past for a hand injury. Then I made an appointment with Dr. Tucker for a shoulder injury. The afternoon before the appointment they called me and said they were cancelling my appointment because Dr. Thompson never signed off on "transfer of care." Later that night I got a text message reminding me of my appointment the next day. I didn't know whether to believe the text message reminder or the person who had called me so I went in for my appointment and it turns out it had in fact been cancelled. Whoever originally made my appointment didn't know what they were doing and they also need to fix the messaging system so it doesn't send out inaccurate appointment reminders.

Good luck getting a hold of somebody! I called 3 times and spent about 30 minutes on hold each time without ever getting a hold of somebody on the appointment line. Just ridiculous! The 4th time I hit the physicans line and finally got a hold of somebody. Well they told me it's strange I was on hold for that long as they weren't busy. Yeah ok so a bunch of people are sitting there smoking n joking and not worried about the patients calling. Strange! I'll gladly drive the 2 hrs to Phoenix were a more qualified team will take care of my daughter! Patients beware of these guys working here. My 19 year old son went through the same hassle back in May when he injured his ankle! Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me! Never again but this is what I should've expected from a place operating out of TMC!

The website states walk-ins on Saturday from 9am-1pm. I drove across town for 30 min to get my son seen, and arrived at 12:50 at check-in only to be told that their last check-in was at 12:40pm. Either the staff didn’t want to help or the website is showing the wrong information. Something must change, either accept patients until 1 pm or update accurate information on the website stating a 12:30pm time and not 1:00pm.

My recommendation? Avoid this provider at all cost. After spinning my wheels at this place for 8 months, and suffering continuously, I fired them! Nothing went right with these people from day one. Nothing! Terrible first impression! Terrible last impression! Terrible impressions in-between! One big dumpster fire! I now have a fantastic provider who I can completely trust to perform the total knee replacement that my severely arthritic knee has needed from the beginning, and maintains a highly professional, competent, and traditional orthopedic surgical practice. I should have trusted my initial gut feeling and not wasted my time with Tucson Ortho.

Happy with my doctor but the administration/front office is horrible. They upgraded their patient portal. Before you could leave a message directly with your doctor and their PA. Now you can only leave a message for the East office staff so messages are not responded to. Calling directly is joke. Before the upgrade, I would have to hold for at least 20 - 30 minutes. My doctor's PA doesn't have vm in the system so leaving a message was difficult. They just "upgraded" the phone system on 1/12/22. Call today to get a PT protocol sent to my therapist. Held for 30+minutes, then the line just rang and rang. Someone did answer. Still unable to leave a voice mail. So I have no idea if anyone will follow up. Back in December the surgery coordinator scheduled my surgery with the surgery center for a different day than what she put on my paperwork. Took me half a day just to get someone on the phone to fix the dates. The front office is so bad that I don't think I would ever use TOI again.

Avoid Tucson Orthopedic if at all possible. They have poor patient servicing skills. Our appointment was cancelled just before the appointment time, and without notice. When we came to the appointment during our appointment time, the provider was unwilling to re-establish the appointment. Rather, they offered an appointment for two hours later. As we were advised that the provider had a meeting to attend instead. Considering that the patient is not very mobile and had another appointment to attend soon after this appointment, they refused to see the patient regardless of circumstances. My prior experience with Tucson Orthopedic was with a disgruntled provider and a disorganized (busy) front desk. Which does not make for good / patient centered care. This experience did not change my perspective. This was a lesson learned to never come back.

No wait to see practitioner. Thorough examination. Plenty of time spent with Crystal Hamlin. We went over my x-rays and came up with a plan. Even the valet parking was outstanding. The young man helped me get out my walker and another put it back in for me. Overall, an excellent experience.

My son broke his leg in 2 places while working in Italy. He was operated on there but within the week, was back in Tucson with a soft cast and many staples, bandages etc. for a week, I tried to just get a doctor to look at his X-rays and agree to treat him post op, make recommendations for rehab. No one helped. After many phone called and a few hours of waiting in the lobby, just silence. I am so disappointed in this practice. My doctor recommended them and I had heard good things. My son has insurance, he’s a US citizen and was treated like a ghost. Very sad that our health care system has stooped this low. ****Update**** today I went in and spoke to Christina at check-in then Diana (supervisor) and finally Rochelle. They were all very helpful and apologized that it took so long to get an appointment. We are booked in for tomorrow morning, with a surgeon for a consult. Good news!!!!

My Total Hip Replacement was a very positive experience. I took the class pre-op and every step of the process was explained so I could prepare for surgery. My appointments were efficient and ontime. Dr. Wild did a great job, and recovery was uneventful. I highly recommend Tucson Orthopedic Institute.

Dr. Thompson is a great Orthopedic Dr. I've been a patient since 2014. He's listens and responds to your concerns. He's going to be performing arms/wrists and arms surgery in my near future. It'll be great to get full arm functioning once again. Don't be bashful or afraid of seeing Dr Joel Thompson. He'll do you good. Thank You Tucson Orthopedic for for all the good things that you do, in all the varying disciplines that you offer.

I visited Dr Wild in March for a consultation and xray. I requested gel injections for my knee. The doctor agreed and approved. To date, June 26, they have never contacted me to follow up with the injections. I left 8 voice mails and spoke to 3 people that promised me a call back with an appointment time, and I've never heard back from anyone. Absolutely the worst doctors office I've ever visited. No professionalism in these health "professionals "!!!! I've started an official complaint with Aetna. I've since visited another orthopedic and within 3 weeks received my first injection. Do Not waste your time visiting this doctor!!!

Amazing facility and I had a really great physician genuinely discuss with me my situation. Non-rushed, great bedside manner and truly cared and explained things thoroughly. I was very pleased with the whole visit. The facilities are beautiful so it’s all of the staff.

I have just moved to Tucson from Ft.Myers, FL. This was my first visit to Tucson Orthopaedic Institute. I was overwhelmed by the size of the check-in, but was impressed with not having to fill out forms by hand, and could use a computer pad instead. The wait to be called back was very long. I will bring water and a snack next time. However, Blake , the PA, was very friendly and was a very capable shot giver. Next time I will feel more comfortable and we will know about valet parking and not drive round and round the parking garage. Someone should have alerted us to the special parking valet.

I went in yesterday for the after hours clinic thinking I was gonna spend my whole evening there and oh my surprise! It was really quick and doctor Aaron Roberts and Tony the cast technician were really awesome with my baby girl! I was reading at all the ugly reviews this place have and I was scared to even show up but I had a great experience and I would definitely go back if I have to.

So after 3 years or so I was convinced to try this place out again. For a different body part than the knee that never was repaired in the surgery to repair the knee but no one could figure out why my knee was still hurting and giving out. So reluctantly but with an open mind I go in to see Dr Eric Anvil. He is rude and asking me why am I there why am I not at Banner and that he would not treat my problem. He was not doing surgery. Totally shocked at his rudeness he started out by saying oh your finally back as I was excited back from xray. He was a joke am unbelievable waste of time and resources. I recommend Dr John Kline for all you orthopedic needs. These people are just after a dollar not taking care of the patient.

First time visit. Front desk was helpful. The check in was quick. The place was very busy. Wait room short. The wait in office was a bit long for Dr. She explained she tends to spend time with each patient. Overall it was a great visit.

The Dr. Are great. But how they can not correct their office personnel is beyond me. The office communications are at best TERRIBLE! No call backs, don’t answer phone or voicemail. They make appointments for you with your ok. (So I assume they don’t care about your schedule, just be there when they say so). They get your personal information wrong, not put in chart correctly. That includes your insurance information. I would fire all of them and hire people who are responsible, respectful and professional.

This group is top notch. You feel as though you’re in good hands. They are professional and are not “surgery happy.” Dr Rozell gave me 3 options and didn’t pressure me into any 1 of them. Very pleased.

Curtis Flannagan Once again, I’m here for an appointment at 3:11. It is 403. I missed my other appointment that had scheduled and I’m still sitting in the waiting room. I had some good words to say about them at first but once again they’re going back to their old ways, the worst place ever Until they prove otherwise again, but I guess this what it takes never come here. NO I MISSED AN APPOINTMENT I NOW HAVE TO WAIT 3 months for for yall to not be on time

Tucson Orthopedic is great. Radiology LTD is a disaster. My husband has a spinal cord stimulator in his back and has to have the MRI machine that is 1.5 radiation. We had to cancel 4x because they kept scheduling him for the 3.0 machine. Each time I even stated to them he has to use the 1.5 radiation equipment. No one listens, no one communicates with each other. Have to repeat my story every time. Radiology LTD needs some serious overhauling. It's in shambles.

I went in on October 12, 2023 and met with Dr. Eric Anctil who evaluated me. He went over everything with me and gave me a doctor's note for a week. I asked him that if I was still in pain and not 100% if he would extend me and both him and the Physicians assistant both said yes. On October 18, 2023 I started calling to get the doctor's note going but didn't get a response until October 19. At that time the PA said that Dr. Anctil was in surgery and wouldn't be able to get the doctor's note submitted till Friday October 20, 2023. I waited all day for the PA to tell me he's out of town for the rest of this week and next week. It really shouldn't be that hard to get another provider to sign off on it when situations like this happen.

Our PA was the most thorough in review and provided knowledgeable support of my wife's multiple orthopedic issues. We left the appointment feeling positive about our path forward. Our PA, and in fact the staff from in processing and on, was most courteous. We highly recommend our PA and his team.

Wonderful staff, and so courteous! They absolutely listen with concern of the patients well-being. Yesterday I went in because of lower back issues. Ms. Corbie Maibauer, PA-C, is absolutely patient-concerned. She gave me 2 injections and this morning I woke up pain-free, which I had not experienced in a very long time.

I saw PA Brent Walker for a consultation about my right knee. I had a series of Xrays done and then the PA consult. The entire process was very professional and quick. Check-in was quick. Xray tech was thorough and professional. . Dr (?) Walker was great. Explained what was going on , gave me options and listened to my concerns. Very satisfied with his work with me. Might ask about my shoulder next... Getting older isn't for sissies.

  • 5/5 Sheri D. 1 year ago on Google
Corbin Maibauer was so informative, she walked me through my MRI and explained it to me in a way that no other doctor ever has. She was empathetic and I felt like she really wanted to help me. She spent time with me and never made me feel rushed. I highly recommend her.

I really don’t know what I need to do or say to get my surgery scheduled. I’ve called and emailed countless times and haven’t heard back from a single person who has been able to help me. I’ve been waiting for a week to schedule my procedure. My ankle has been broken for 10 days now. That means 10 days I’ve been sitting on my couch in pain not being able to get on with the healing process. This is so frustrating. I honestly feel like these people don’t care at all and when they are called out for poor service, they offer so many excuses instead of taking accountability. I am at my wits end with trying to get this scheduled and almost feel like I will never get the surgery that I need. Not to mention, I was on hold for three hours to make my initial appointment and had to wait two hours in the waiting room to see the doctor in that initial appointment. Avoid these people at all costs.

Everything about Tucson Orthopaedic Institute is A-one. The staff is friendly and very helpful, the appointments through all phases of pre-op, surgery, and post-op went like clockwork. Dr Chad Hills is a terrific surgeon and all the nurses and support staff were wonderful to work with! Great experience and would highly recommend!!!

I had a great experience with little waits after the different points of contact. Front lobby, then discussion and blood pressure, then xray, then visit with provider. Never more than 5 to 7 minute wait. Provider was excellent.

It was my first visit for an opinion however, I am very happy with them so far Parking was a bit of a pain but we were prepared and arrived in time to compensate. Staff was courteous and explained everything step by step. Shorter wait times than you would expect and they had plans and answers for everything. Let's hope the upcoming visits go as well!

Dr. Jesse Wild and the x-ray technicians were outstanding. However, the people who responded to my initial phone contact showed little regard for my questions. She could speak the words, but seemed to know little of what they meant. A call was returned, days later, and she was helpful.

Dr.Goode, very professional, efficient, knowledgeable in his field. Very friendly and kind.I woul refer him and Tucson Orthopedics to anyone. I have used them for years.I have had both knees and both shoulders done by other providers there, as well as foot surgery twice. They have always been top-notch on every level.

Parking was easy, the checkin was pretty quick and professional. Only issue was the wait time in the exam room. After the doctor arrived he was right-on, knowledgeable, well explaining, and nice.

This institute is hands down the most knowledgeable, and professional Orthopaedic I have ever been to within all the years of going to many other Institutes for my spine and neck condition. I'm glad the search for an Institute at 51 years old is finally over. I am more than confident in their expertise, therefore, here's the big applause for TOI... :)

TOI East is a very busy clinic and delays in any facility is to be expected. I had a wonderful experience overall from the front reception staff, the medical assistants, to the doctor himself. The facility itself was very clean and bright. Highly recommended!

  • 5/5 Gary G. 9 months ago on Google
The entire office and my exam room were very clean. All the personnel we encountered from the receptionist to the doctor were friendly and informative. Pretty typical of our visits to the all the various TOI facilities.

I go by my middle name, but even when the check-in process asks me for the name I go by, staff ignore that and call me by some name I never use. I have yet to find a hospital/health staff who cares about caling me by my name. But please don't pretend you care by asking what my name is on the check-in process.

I had my hip replaced by Dr. Jesse Wild and his team this past Wednesday. It was a first class experience. I highly recommend him as a surgeon. In fact, his father, Dr. John Wild, did an ACL replacement on my son while he was in high school. Although he stopped playing football, he continued with baseball all the way through college. I highly recommend TOI. Thank you.

Samantha Miller was very friendly, explained the problem with my hand, my options, how surgery could help me, and took time to answer all my questions. Very nice and loved her upbeat personality. I highly recommend her.

Extremely incompetent. Nurses and doctors. They aren’t helpful or considerate as people who work in healthcare should be. When you voice what you feel and your concerns it’s taken lightly and not considered to be truth. I’ve never had such an issue getting someone to do their job. I have a leg injury due to a motor vehicle accident resulting in hardships in one of my legs, disabling me from my normal job functions. I guess because the doctors can’t feel what I feel it’s not true when I express it.

Mahoney, not even a doctor. Been in severe pain since first of October. After several uneventful visits, still in severe pain. Won't even discuss surgery until I quit smoking. Wasn't told that until the fourth uneventful visit. Was expecting some type of relief all that happened is they wasted my time and was jerked around! This place sucks!

😠 Check in was smooth and front desk staff nice. That's the only pleasant bit about this review. Sitting in exam room currently. Our appointment time was scheduled for 1.5 hours prior.
