Looking for a home cook style dish? This is the place. Finally a Filipino restaurant in the West Valley. Pork sinigang was tender, fall of the bone and just enough tang. Sizzling sisig hit the spot w/ some chili! Just enough flavors and spices. Support local family businesses and experience some bomb Filipino food!

We decided to try this local gem after checking to see if there was a Filipino restaurant in the West Valley. To our surprise, we saw Backstreet Asia in our area, and our family decided to give it a try. To our delight, we had elite level of service and the food was excellent. It was definitely a step up from other restaurants in the valley, and we were happy to support local owners! The owner/chef came out to chat with us and tell us about her history and the history of the restaurant. Keep up the great work and making us feel welcome! Maraming salamat!

Very nice new Filipino restaurant. Great food and friendly owners. Restaurant is still new and kitchen being expanded but very clean and signage on the outside is coming. Karaoke night on Friday's. Best Filipino food is the Valley.

Wow what a gem! We came across this place by accident and I am SO glad we did! We spent a good hour and a half talking to Chef Lin and her son and enjoying her delicious food and drinking a red horse beer 🍺 they have awesome events and karaoke and comedy shows and even a 1st Friday style even coming soon! My husband loved her hot sauce and the flavors of the food were so good. The bar is very nice and all the details were very lovely. I can't wait to bring our friends here for a night out and I'll be telling everyone what a wonderful place this is! Anywhere can have good food, but her service made it 100 awesome.

I have been meaning to get to Backstreet Asia since it opened - was hard to make it out to the West side. Super happy I...1) got to try the food, and 2) expose my friends to Filipino food. We ate family style to ensure they got to taste each dish. I had done a mini tasting of different items, and wanted to recommend these: - Chicharon Bulaklak - The pig skin is fried to perfection and has good crunch and flavor. It's fine on its own, but as usual, I highly recommend using the vinegar to dip it into and a Red Horse beer to accompany it. Makes me very nostalgic (outside of the beer part) of growing up with my Lola and she'd put those out for a snack. - Lumpia - Made in the Lumpia Shanghai style, it had great savory flavor and I almost wonder if the sweet chili sauce was an inhouse creation because it had a bit more kick than the ones in the bottle. 🤔 - Chicken Adobo - Every person's gateway drug 😂 into Filipino cuisine. Her Adobo is more of the gravy consistency, but what I love about her version is that the chicken is crispy but still falls off the bone easily. A little different than the ones I usually have but I'm a very good way. I feel this is the best Adobo in AZ. - Pork Sinigang - More Filipino comfort food! Just delightfully sour, meat tender and the veggies soaked up the flavor very nicely. - Pancit Bihon - I told Lindsay that although I do love her Pancit because it has lots of flavor and a bit of spice, I can't love it above my mom's version but her version is pretty good! - Bulgogi/Korean BBQ Rib - my friend got this for her daughter to go. She stole a bite and said it was very good. - Shrimp Chips - as a pre-appetozer, we got fresh fried shrimp chips at our table. So good! They are expanding currently so they are doing construction BUT they are actively building a good connection to the community. They have standup nights, karaoke night, sometimes they do boodle fights - or Kamayan Feast - events (where they layout banana leaves and have food out on the leaves buffet style but for each pair of people), and they are participating in a West Side First Friday event. They also do their best to accommodate deliveries as far as Maricopa dependent on availability and staffing/check with them first. The pricing is also very reasonable! Please go check them out!

First time dining here today. I love how the ambiance isn’t chaotic compared to other Asian restaurants. Main takeaway here is that the food that Chef Lin cooks is really great. I had their Sizzling Sisig as my main course and I told Chef Lin that it reminded me of home.

My family and I finally found a restaurant that is inclusive. We have a 4yo autistic eater and he tried all the food that we ordered. His favorite was the lechon kawali. The food was tender, tasty and well-balanced. Chef Lin is awesome. She uses fresh, healthy ingredients and seasoning that will make your body do a happy dance. The environment was calm, which helped our son feel comfortable enough to eat. We ordered lumpia, lechon kawali, longaniza with garlic fried rice, pork sisigi with garlic fried rice and a side of French fries. Chef Lin’s fried rice was very tasty and not oily. All of her food was great.

From the moment we walked into the restaurant we were welcomed and treated really well by the staff. They are super attentive and friendly. I came with a party of 4 (we ordered quite a bit of food), everything was delicious and the textures of the food were perfect. The plating is beautiful and you can really taste the quality. Can’t wait to come back and try more ! 😊

I've visited a few times now, the food is great, especially the lechon fries! The owners and staff are very friendly and welcoming, and they have good background music that isn't too loud or too quiet. Overall a great experience and I'm told they do events on Fridays.

Happy little accident finding this absolute gem! Food was made to order, and flavorful. Hands down the best we have ever had, staff was friendly, attentive and we even got to speak with the Chef! Don’t skip on the dessert even if you get it “to-go”!
