The resort is nice, especially for kids. The water park is fun, clean and well maintained. We got there Thursday evening so we could spend all day on Friday at the water park, only to find out that half of the activity pools were closed, so the little kids pool and the heated pool were way overcrowded. Also some of the arcade machines were not working, some out of tickets. It was very disappointing. On Saturday they opened all the pools, at least we got to experience one full day of activities. They did offer us a free day at the water park, but it’s not worth it for us to drive all the way from Brooklyn just for a few hours at the water park and then drive back. The rooms are very nice, spacious and clean. But we had to follow the cleaning people around to get fresh towels and toilet paper. The room was never cleaned or replenished until we left on Sunday. Also there’s not much food choices. The food is way overpriced for the quality, I’ve never eaten that much fried food in my life.

My family and I stayed for one night and that was enough. Hotel room was spacious and clean for the most part. Open hours for the park are limited, 11am to 7pm. After 7pm they offer one or two free activities, but also encourage you to spend more money at the arcade. Arcade games were okay, but most of them were either taking my money or not following through with the winnings. I had to ask for help more than 3 times, and eventually gave up. They have limited food options and the quality is poor for the prices. Definitely a one and done for me.

If it was possible to give this place zero stars I would. I wanted to share my experience to save others from making the same mistake. Also, for full transparency this might be second time ever giving a review, I only find it necessary when the experience is that terrible…. To start we arrive on Thursday and we’re told about all the activities they have, take a picture they said so we did. After checking in we head to our room which was a brisk 62 degrees, we get dressed and head to the water park. The water park is supposed to be 86 degrees but it clearly wasn’t. Upon asking the member of the staff I was informed there was a problem with the system. Luckily the kiddie pool was warm but my 3 year old daughter was shaking every time she left the water so we had to go back to the room. Then we decide to go to dinner, only one option on Thursday and Friday night which was Harvey’s - to be fair the food was good but overpriced, I expect that at a resort. We looked to get ice cream but pops sweet shop looked to be closed. Next day we head back to the water park, now the kiddie slides are freezing. My daughter or myself couldn’t stay in there but it looked like everyone else packed into a pool with basketball hoops. It was warm and the other slides were a little warmer that the kiddie area. Problem for us is my daughter is three and wanted to play on the little slides so back to the room again. Now here’s where things get worse, we head down for some of the activities and notice none are happening. There was a marsh mellow activity, wreath making etc. These weren’t happening so I decided to go to the front desk. The manger tells me they’re happening, so I asked where and she says let me check. She goes away, and another manager comes and takes me to the room with the activity. There’s the one manager in there with another woman in a mask telling me to stay back because she’s sick and and the activities have been canceled. I’m not sure why she’s at work in a resort that caters to children if she’s sick but it is what it is. She offers me a coloring book and some stickers. I was in shock. Oh and I forgot, the restaurant that should be open for breakfast with the buffet was also closed so we had to go to the coffee shop where they ran out of everything except a three day old stale poppy bagel and a makeshift omelet station. There’s no where else to eat so this is the only option. As far as dinner on Friday night the only things that’s open is Harvey’s again for the whole resort! Luckily we went early but the hostess told us we might not be able to get a seat, after asking to speak to a manger we were seated but many were not. Lastly, keep in mind there is no turn down service. They will not clean your room, make bed etc. you have to stay for four days, that’s what I was told by the front desk before they will come in. Worst experience - avoid at all costs and check out some other resorts.

This place is the meaning of "home away from home". I enjoyed every bit of the experience. It is one of the few places where you get more than you paid for. The staff and customer service was excellent, it seemed like they received their training directly from the angles in heaven. I have absolutely nothing negative to say about the place. If they keep up this pace no other resort or water park will be in business. I look forward to going there again. The hospitality was flawless.

This was a great family (not really for singles from what I can see) resort and water park. I like the design as it is contained, so if your little one gets away from you for a second, it won't feel like the end of the world. The rides were big, colorful, and fun. My only strike on this park is the food from the restaurants in the building. Not all of them provide room service and the food was not top-notch in my opinion contrary to how nice they look. I like the fact that they have a pizzeria in the water park area... a great feature!

The place was really great not as big as splosh splash eastern long island, but it was indoors which made up for it since it's still cold out. The lockers were reasonable, and the parking was good. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was amazing. The stair climbing was. Little too much for those out of shape or older. But you can always switch it up to the lazy river. The lines weren't long at all. My only issue was the staff member holding everyone up on the surf ride to ride the surf board himself. Literally every single person he'd help l, he would get on to it and ride it for a few minutes then fall and ... The guy who was there in the morning was much more professional

Yikes! I don’t even know where to start. This was my first time visiting this hotel and neither I or my family were impressed. We were checked in right away and our room was on the main floor. Upon opening the door, I was hit with this weird unpleasant smell, so I went straight to the balcony and opened the slider to air out the room. I stayed on the balcony for a while and then went back in to check out the room. It was updated but not as clean as I expected. Didn’t mind since we weren’t spending much time in there. The waterpark was clean but small compared to others. They definitely don’t have enough seats for guests and not a lot of pools/activities. My kids are teens and they said they were bored. They only enjoyed the affinity springs warm spa and wanted to leave that same night. There’s absolutely nothing to do outside of the hotel. It’s really isolated. The food inside was so expensive and not good. We ended up eating out the entire time we were there. I did buy my daughter ice cream at the hotel. It was one scoop in a cone that cost $7. There’s no vending machines for water or drinks. I guess they only want guests to get drinks from their expensive restaurants. And I swear the walls are made of paper. All day and night you hear running and stomping. I would not recommend this waterpark.

First off, the resort is very clean. The place itself is very new, the rooms are spacious and very well designed. Comfortable beds. The heating/AC unit is very noisy, that would be my only complaint about the room. The water park is amazing. The crew is very well trained to make sure guests dont get hurt in the water park. My other complaint is about quality and price of food. The breakfast buffet was very bad. We paid 80$ for 3 persons and the only thing we found that tasted good were the pancakes. There should be more than one option for food be it breakfast, lunch or dinner. The quality of the food is very poor. The waiters were great and very friendly, but quality of food needs to change. Otherwise we will definitely come back as my son loved the water park, just next time we will bring our own food for breakfast as each room comes with a fridge. For dinner we will find something outside of the resort. We are looking forward for our future stays at the park.

We enjoyed our stay here. Tons of parking and it’s right out in the mountains where hiking is available via three paths. The hotel rooms are cozy and the the park itself and well maintained. The rides are really fun and are best to ride during the week when it’s not crazy. Food is as expected in terms of price but is high quality with several bars for the adults scattered about. The arcade leaves a lot to be desired but my family enjoyed it and would come again.

This is a beautiful property, but the horrible staff and food will probably prevent me from ever returning. The waiter at Bixby’s was inattentive and dinner took us 2 hours for a party of three! My kids got their food and ate before I ever got my food or the appetizer. I then had to literally go get the waiter to have him bring the check so I could pay and leave. No apologies from the staff either and the restaurant was 30% full at best. No reason for service to be that bad or slow. The food at all the restaurants was sub par at best, but Eats was the worst. I don’t know how you guys have the audacity to charge the buffet prices for lunch for salad and pizza that looks like it was microwaved. In addition, you charge a very nice gratuity (about 20%) to the buffet prices that you don’t even tell the customer you are doing until they notice the charge on the paid receipt. Overall, extremely disappointed as this property has so much potential to be so much better if you make some better investments in food and staff.

Service- disappointing. Almost all hotel/water park staff was short or came off unfriendly/unwilling to help in the most basic of ways. (Towels, hours of op) Service was disappointing at hotel front desk and the water park area. It was obvious to others and overall shocking for how much money this place charges. Rooms - nice and spacious. After 9pm-12am it was loud so bring your ear plugs or headphones. Water park/slides - perfect for kids but could use some friendly staff.

For the third year in a row we come here at the end of October. Very beautiful places for hiking. Modern and stylish hotel. The water park will suit the whole family, especially the heated pool with access to the outside. A lot of entertainment. Fireplaces are equipped outside. There are many cafes around. I recommend it with all my heart!

We planned a family get together (over 100 adults and children) over the Aug 26-28 weekend. We had never planned such an event before. We didn't know what we were getting into, particularly with the different needs of each family joining us. The entire group was amazed at the facilities and rooms provided; they were beyond reproach. There were absolutely no complaints of any kind from our group. From the moment we walked in to our departure on Sunday, everything was beautifully arranged and prepared. The area set aside for our convention was excellent. All details were perfect. The hotel is spotless, the rooms tip-top clean and beds extremely comfortable. The hotel staff was extremely helpful. Some of our families went to the water park and spent hours enjoying the rides and activities. Danielle Schwartz, the Group Sales Manager, is a gem, and we can not thank her enough for all the effort she put into making this event a complete success.

Let's only talk about the Waterpark here. Rest is OK and normal. Needs more cleaning but normal. Now the park. Only half the rides are open at a time and they oversell the tickets. It should be guests who stay at resort only but it's not. So if you open the facility to all everyday than open all the rides all day long. Staffing cuts was the answer I kept getting for rides to be closed, not even a shortage they actually cut the workers' hours. 🙃 There are many other indoor Waterpark places you need to go to before this one. Leave it as a last resort, so to speak. You can get way more for your money at all other parks.

This place is a hidden gem. That being said, the service and knowledge from the staff in regards to the resort is terrible. Most of the staff is young and just worried about fraternizing amongst themselves. Some of the life guards and staff from the game room were great and the room service people were very friendly and nice. I gave the 5 star rating because a place EXCEEDED my expectations. The entire resort overall was clean, all of the attractions were open and functioning; minus a few arcade games. The food, although super overpriced was good. We ended up using doordash for the remainder of our stay. The crowd of people was very diverse and everyone was getting along just fine and was respectful of those around them. I will definitely be bring my kids back to this place as they had an amazing time and didn't complain about anything, as a parent that is a win for me and The Kartrite has earned a future repeat customer...

For $600 a night, we were less than impressed. We stayed here Saturday night into Sunday. We got a room on floor 2. There was no bathtub; or step or anything, the bathroom was more for a handicap person. Which idk why they gave that to us with a 2 year old.. he kept running out of the shower and slipped and fell. They are lucky he didn’t cut his head open. There was also no shampoo, conditioner or body soap in the bathroom. At the end of the night, my daughter went to open up the couch to make herself a bed, and the air conditioning system was in the way so there was no way to open It. My poor child had to sleep scrunched up on the couch. There was also no extra blankets or anything for her. Thank god we brought some of our own. For $600 a night; this is totally unacceptable. On top of that, the lazy river both days were closed until 1:30. And that is my kids favorite ride. The first day we were there, there were only a handful of floats for that ride so we had to wait a really long time until someone decided to get off there’s so we can have a turn. At the price they are changing people to stay there, they should invest into some more tubs. We will not be back.

This water park is a joke compared to the ones in PA. It’s small but that’s not the main issue. There’s hardly any food and when they decide to open the restaurants the food is overpriced and horrible! There’s no water anywhere to drink!!! I almost went crazy looking for bottle waters to buy. I ended up at Walmart. There’s no room service, there’s no cleaning service in the rooms. My first day and there was no soap and when I complained they filled up the soap pump but it only pumped out a tiny bit. Horrible. Had to beg for clean towels. No one to change the garbage in the 2 nights that we stayed. Check out is at 11am and the water park opens at 11. Makes no sense to me. Definitely not coming back. Water park is not that great. Tiny basketball pool. No wave pool. Outdoor pool depth is very shallow. Waste of money. Go to Great Wolf or camelback .

This is my 3rd stay and unfortunately this will by last. The food service provided is less than to be desired. For a family resort there are not many options to choose from. Kitchen staff was also very slow with meals. With the park closing at 7, a facility catered to family should have options but with a buffet and a fine dining restaurant with openings at 9:30p was adequate. We ended up driving 2 minutes to the casino where the food choices were amazing and fast!! Get it better!!

Checked in today Saturday. For $700 totally unimpressed with the water park which is very small. Also the rooms only come with 4 water park tickets and they charge an additional $81 per person just for water park access…. After paying $700 for 1 night! Never again! Go to Camel Back, Great Wolf or Kalahari! It’s bigger & better and you get water park passes for all your guests! Long wait for a floaty to enter the lazy river which is also small. The water park is only open from 11-7PM which also sucks! When we arrived (2PM) all the restaurants were closed except for a coffee shop/cafe. This is our first and last time visiting! Also beware my final total was $636.08 but I was then charged 698. Called immediately and was told billing would contact me, they never did! Spoke to the guy at the front desk about it and he could care less. Spoke to Sabrina the mgr and she told me the rate I saw was for a different room, it wasn’t but I wasn’t gonna waste time arguing. I’ll just tell everyone I know to avoid this place and spread the word! Will update once we finally get to check into the rooms!

This was a very nice hotel, although the water pressure from the shower head could have used some more pressure. Besides that the food was good, I think a little pricey but what can you do. Staff members were great, lifeguards were great. But sometimes they would be a little messy with the lines but it worked out. Good place over all. Very clean hotel.

Beautiful place, very accommodating to all our needs, polite kind staff, especially Danielle Schwartz who helped every step of the way, planning, arranging, organizing & making sure everything worked out. The rooms were clean & pretty. The conference rooms were beautiful spacious & well kept. The staff attentive & kind. The water park is a blast with helpful patient workers. We had a wonderful family reunion weekend!

Quick getaway trip with family! The Kartrite resort and it’s staff is super friendly and very welcoming! We loved the modern aesthetic feel of the hotel, The rooms are very spacious, clean and colorful. Our kids enjoyed the water park and went on all the water slides more then once, public areas are clean and very well maintained, the kids enjoyed movie night and family game night, they had at the time of our stay, they have diffrent activities everyday of the week to keep kids safe entertained, some free and some reasonable priced, food was good, wished we had more restaurants options though. The arcade was a plus after a long day of swimming! What was an absolute plus for me as a mom, was the complimentary washer and dryer they have for each floors, it’s a life saver! We definitely took advantage of it! Thank you Darren McLeod and staff for the excellent customer service, This trip truly brought our family closer, If you want a quick weekend getaway trip for families large or small, The Kartrite resort is the place to go! Planing our second trip already!!

My family and I went this past weekend with a group 40 kids and adults. The reservations were made very last minute and everyone was extremely accommodating. I cannot thank Dani Schwartz enough for her help facilitating everything for our group - rooms, cabanas, food, help staff etc. The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and the entire resort was easily accessible and modern. A great find with great fun for a family or group!

Sabrina, Kevin, Gloria, and Susan, the stars of this review, truly saved our experience from being a one-star rating. While our initial check-in delay until 4:00 pm was understandable, it extended to 4:30 pm. However, Sabrina at the front desk stepped in at 4:45 pm, ensuring a quick room assignment and granting us a late check-out, for which we are immensely grateful. Our dinner reservation at Bixby's Derby turned out to be very unpleasant, prompting us to seek assistance from Gloria, who quickly connected us with Kevin, the food and beverage manager, who provided exceptional support. The next morning, at the breakfast buffet, Susan's warm and caring demeanor further improved our experience. In conclusion, while not perfect, our stay was saved by these exceptional individuals who truly understand the value of excellent customer service. We would consider returning solely due to their efforts.

A delightful place for families and young children as well as teenagers. The rooms have different configurations according to floors, but some details, like a clothesline over the tub, are welcome additions. The food is OK and perfect for all tastes, especially young palates.

We were on the fence staying here based on recent reviews. We decided on a last minute trip - and sadly, most of the reviews are true. The front desk staff was pleasant upon arrival. We got a room on an upper level, the room is nice but heard kids running up and down the halls til midnight when though they have posted quiet hours. (I know this isn’t the fault of the hotel - but would prefer security handling it since there’s cameras in the halls and I’m sure this was captured.) I love the complimentary washers/dryers so we could dry our suits at the end of the night. The waterpark is perfect for little ones compared to larger slides at Great Wolf/Kalahari, and the lifeguards do a great job and clearly take their jobs seriously. So we really had a blast here. Unfortunately, the real turn of events was at the Bixbys restaurant. I have never had or seen worse service. It was honestly like dinner and a show. The hostess was clearly overwhelmed, but was pleasant (at first) she brought us to a booth. One of the waitresses (who ended up being ours) was annoyed she didn’t get sat, so they asked us to move our booth… two seats down. No big deal. But then the hostess asks us to tell the manager about the argument and whose fault it was. I’m there for a meal with my family, not for your internal drama. Then it appeared like our waitress was going to leave, told us she’d find us a new waitress and shortly after came back to take our order. The whole order came out wrong. Drinks, dinner(to her credit, she wrote the burger correctly, and the food runner clearly said no sauce… but there was) I’d like to say, the food runner was very nice, professional and brought out the new burger quickly. At the end there was automatically a 20% gratuity on the bill and apparently she couldn’t find a manager to remove it. I think this is a scam becuase they know how bad the service is. She walked past our table at one point and there was water on her drink tray and just poured it right on the carpeted floor of the restaurant. I’m not sure I can get past this interaction to come back - I’m just skeeved, and clearly there’s no upper management here to train their waitstaff. The Arcade is great for the kids. They have a rope course that’s really neat. My kids tried doing it but got nervous and came back down quickly. The gentleman running the attraction was very nice, and told us to go back to the desk and get our arcade credits put back on our cards. We really appreciated that. We’re here for another day today… and I’m hoping for a good one. This could easily be one of our favorite places, but that dining experience was really horrific, we will be trying the other restaurants, and I’ll write another review later.

My extended family did a weekend getaway at Kartrite and it was fantastic! The rooms were big, clean, beautiful and we appreciated all the different types for the various family sizes. We had the private ballroom for our meals and they were very accommodating to our myriad requests. The resort itself has been pretty grounds with amazing amenities - the kid friendly options are perfect and even the adults enjoyed! Hiking trails, seating areas, life size chess and connect four and the fire pits were great! The water park is an absolute blast! The staff were extremely professional, polite and friendly. I would highly recommend Kartrite for any family getaway - or even a bunch of friends to get away for a night or two!

Lifeguards & staff were amazing at staying alert and making sure children and adults were following rules and staying safe. Even on the weekend with a larger crowd, it didn't feel chaotic. The rooms were nice and spacious. Only downside were pillows, so bring your own if pillow support & cleanliness is important to you.

Hey everyone, over all I loved it I and my family. The location was far from the city issues which none likes to deal with it (traffic/ parking/ safety…). Huge free access space at the place which allowed us to walk around with the kids, it is very relaxing after a long day at the water park. I loved the fire pit with the marshmallows brochettes it was a warm time shared with other guest. There is more I don’t want to be to long. Please I am asking the managers to invest in the food and improve it especially it is a place for kids and water park they get very hungry. After a long drive everyone does not like to wait with kids it is very unusual for hospitality. Thank you I am going to go back there again next spring break see you. Be safe thank you

This is a very nice place for families with kids. The bad: You get a total money grab vibe. Breakfast cost $70 for two adults and a kid and all we had was waffles, bacon, and coffee. The arcade can get crazy expensive and it feels like a lot of the games are rigged. The Bixby restaurant did have good service, but it was painfully slow. The steak was completely unseasoned, but their drunken chicken parm was sublime. The water park was only open from 11-7. With dinner taking so long, would it kill anyone to have the water park open another couple of hours? The good: The staff were fantastic. Everyone was super friendly, attentive, and accommodating. My kids had so much fun at the water park. The build a bear type thing you guys had was a blast for my boy as well. It's going to be a while before we're back in that area but when we do return, we will be staying at the Kartrite. It isn't cheap but there is a lot of value added here.

We just had the best time at this resort. I took 5 pre teen/teenage boys here for my son's 13th birthday celebration. The staff was awesome! They went above and beyond to make sure he felt special! From the beautiful sweet lady that checked us in to the adorable and kind arcade staff that told my son he was lucky to have me as his mom. I can't forget the friendly and informative restaurant and waterpark staff being on point to keep them safe and happy, it was a wonderful experience! Customer service gets 5 stars from me! The rooms were clean and comfy, and getting 4 tickets at the price of the room was a deal! Just note, you will want to wear water shoes, as your feet will take a beating if not! ;) it's a beautiful place with all sorts of entertainment and fun for all ages! Thank you for helping me to make great memories with my son Kartrite! - 6 very pleased customers ❤

A very enjoyable and pleasant place to visit. There is something for everyone besides the constant 84 degree indoor water park. Ask about the nature hike trails, goat yoga (with actual baby goats), movie nights or arcades and laser tag. One drawback/advantage is that cell phone service is limited. Perhaps that's a good thing.

Dani Schwartz was our main point of contact for our sons bar mitzvah. Every time we had a question she was there with an answer. She did a great job ensuring that the party would be well taken care of and that we shouldn't have any concerns. She was right. Everyone who played a role in the event did an excellent job. My family and friends can't stop talking about the great time they had. We really appreciated her patience and attention to detail. If you want to have a 5 star party make sure you reach out to Dani at the Kartrite.

The food was 1 star. Not many places to eat and they're not that good. The water park is small but really fun! The pizza at the water park is 11/10. There is so much to do there activity wise and the rooms are very nice.
