What a pleasant surprise this place continues to be. It's hidden as you walk down 2nd street but once inside it is pure bliss. Shout out to Anthony the bartender who has been at this location for a minute. This guy is quickly becoming a downtown Phoenix icon. I started going to the Pig at the 16th Street location and appreciated the motif but the space was always tighter than skinny jeans. When you walk into the downtown location your senses are overwhelmed with options from grilled cheese to reasonably priced beers available for happy hour. For less than $10 you can walk out of here ready for a the game or whatever your night offers depending on your choice in beer. If you have ever questioned the greatness of America then look no further to this bar and you will at least forget why your thinking was irrational if only for a while.

Great spot for a drink. Haven't been in downtown Phoenix in a long time and was glad to find this spot. Service was great, Anthony was professional and prompt. Like the selection of drinks, options are plentiful. The drink in the picture is Austin Eastsiders Blackberry Cider.

Great spot for beers all around - much to choose from on tap then there is a huge selection on cans and bottles. Food is on point - gourmet grilled cheese are perfect. Servers are attentive and personable.

Great craft beer bar. I'm a big fan of fruited sours and they had a good selection. the wings were some of the best I have had. Fall off the bone with great sauce. Nice friendly atmosphere, highly recommend stopping if you are in downtown Phoenix!

The Whining Pig provides excellent service, ambiance, and drinks to comfort any individual. My mother and I were seeking a place to drink and play a board game before meeting up with a friend for dinner, and this place fit the bill. The drinks were affordable, and plenty of board games were available. They even have arcade games attached to the wall. I will return when I'm in the area. Shoutout to the server who gave us a notepad to keep score of our Scrabble game. :)

Very cool place. I'm not picky when it comes to beer, and I don't like to spend that much. They had a brown bag beer for $4, and it's a surprise as to what you'll get. I enjoyed both I got and so did my Dad and husband.

Cool spot with great, friendly service, lots of wines by-the-glass, all at $9, $10, or $11 (some are super-pedestrian, but we each found a more obscure wine that was exactly what we were looking for!), and a great location in the heart of things! Grilled cheese sammies are the only food options, so we had to go elsewhere for dinner, but there are lots of options around there.

Cool atmosphere, prejudice middle-aged white male employee. Came here to get a drink after having fun at the drag queen show at Copper Blues this past Saturday. This employee asked if my friend and I were there for the wine tasting event. Not only was he unfriendly, but when I said no, that we'd just come from a drag show, he said "oh that's still legal in this country" with the most childish eye roll. It made me want to turn right around and walk out but we stayed for a single drink and got the hell out. Keep your personal, irrational fears for when you're off the clock. If a man who wears a dress and makeup threatens your masculinity, maybe you shouldn't work in a city where people actually have progressive thoughts and just want a drink at your establishment without hearing your unsolicited and outdated opinions

Fantastic! A gem under the stairs! Rotating taps, but don't be afraid to go for a can or bottle. They usually have a 4$ all day special in addition to the Happy Hour from 1PM-8PM. Speak up and ask for a recommendation. I was guided to many other choices by the bartenders. They got me to try several other taps and cans! Great seating options whether you are by yourself or with a group. Try a grilled cheese as well!

Excellent Craft beer and Wine bar in downtown Phoenix. Has limited menu of grilled cheese Sandwiches. The two we had were both outsdanding. Relaxed atmosphere great place to meet if heading to event or just want to chat and relax.

Feeling sad after my husband and I left a bar that was supposed to be a game bar, I really thought our night was ruined. We tried this place and I Love it. We tried a flight of beer, it was some of the best beer we have tried in Arizona. Great original selection. Grilled Cheese ,fun music and games. This is what we were looking for. They have a color coded beer key to help you know what beer to order. Genius!

Great beer is had here. Such a large selection of hard to find beers and all the regular stuff you like. Highly recommend if you are a beer connoisseur. Stopped in for Founders tap takeover and it did not disappoint. They have a beer to make anyone happy and amazing service from some very cool people.

Best beer bar in downtown. Great hangout spot for first dates, group gatherings! A little noisy, but never over powering like most of the other downtown spots. They also have an amazing happy hour that basically lasts all day! $3-$8 craft pints!

Came here for the first time Thursday night. We got in about 11:40 pm. I had read online that they close at 2am and also verified this on the door before walking in but was told by staff they were closing at 12am not 2am. The staff was very friendly about it and even offered to let us have 1 round but didnt want to be those people and was mainly just disappointed I had just ubered here thinking I would have about 2 hours to relax and have some brews. Honestly my only complaint because the location looks great. Please update your hours online and outside of your door if hours have changed.
