Look at these photos of the food I took home last night from Angels Trumpet. I got their crispy wings like I always do. I only ate the drumsticks like I always do and I took the rest home to enjoy the next afternoon, and thank goodness for that. Can someone there please explain this quality control to me? I understand chickens have feathers and sometimes when I buy it at the grocery store I have to pluck a few myself. But THIS is ridiculous, there's absolutely no way upper chef didn't notice the shipment was in poor condition, there's NO WAY the cook didn't notice how HAIRY your chicken is before trying to hide it in batter, I mean some of the hairs are an inch long!! And you were serving this to people all night during First Friday?!?? You are supposed to be the Best of Phoenix, act like it! I haven't decided what I'll be doing next with this info. The least you could do is refund my check.

We found this spot because we wanted a dog friendly restaurant. My friend flies in from Oakland and sometimes finding a place for her and Boo can be difficult. This restaurant was perfect!! So friendly, great beer list, and fantastic location. Try the creme ale, so good. The tractor pizza was amazing. Egg on pizza, who would of thought. Loved it

This is the best fish tacos I've ever had and the churchhill grilled cheese was the best grilled cheese my wife has ever had. The coleslaw was average with the fish, but I don't really like coleslaw, so not sure if my opinion counts. We sat on the patio and enjoyed a beer and food. The staff was friendly and the place was clean.

Loved their food, beer and ambience! Ample of craft beer options to select from, my personal best way to enjoy them is by ordering flights! I do not have a taste for IPAs and dark beers, but loved their ale and lagers! Crispy fried pork riblets tasted so good, loved every bite of it! Flatbread farm pizza was yumm too, best vegetarian option. Service was fast! I would surely be back again just for those beers and riblets ! Though in the downtown, it was pretty much less crowded for a Saturday night, mostly the crowd was around night clubs I believe ! Limited parking spots at the restaurant. Street parking and public parking around the restaurant were pretty full, lucky if you get one close, if not prepare for a quick walk!

Great bar. Very extensive beer list with lots of good niche options but some mainstream ones too. The food was outstanding, I had the brisket grilled cheese sammy and it was so tasty. The tater tots were also incredibly good. Our wait staff were also really lovely and friendly too. Great place.

First time visit. Everybody was respecting my personal space! And plus they have a giant Jenga which got progressively difficult with each cocktail. So much fun.

My fiance and I love trying new breweries around the Valley so we decided to stop in at Angel's Trumpet Ale House in Downtown Phoenix. Our first impression of the place as we pulled up was that the place looked really cool. There was an outside patio where lots of people were sitting, but we were pretty cold so we decided to sit inside. Upon walking inside, we noticed all the beers on tap written beautifully on a huge chalkboard behind the bar. They had a wide variety of different beers to choose from. As soon as we sat down at a table, we were kindly greeted by our server, I believe his name was either Shane or Danny. He was extremely friendly, attentive and always made sure we had full drinks in front of us. We need more servers like him in this world. He made our experience here super enjoyable. We ordered a flight and a pitcher of beer ($9 on Sundays!!) and enjoyed every single beer. We are not huge ale drinkers, but every beer on here was really tasty. Our favorite was the Candy Cane White Chocolate (Sonoran, AZ) beer. We liked it so much we even got a growler of it to take home with us for later! For food we ordered chips and salsa and a green burro, enchilada style. The chips were crispy, they had lots of sauces and the portion was great. As for the burro, it was extremely hot and my fiance had a hard time eating it since it was kind of falling apart, but it tasted extremely delicious. My fiance said she would probably ask for it extra crispy next time so that she will be able to cut and eat it properly. Overall our experience here was amazing, our server was outstanding and we will definitely be coming back soon!

From the moment we touched down in Arizona, my family member listed Angels Trumpet as a must try restaurant while we were there. We ended up going on the last day of our visit when the temperature was at a high of 99 degrees. By the time we parked walked around the hip and urbanized neighborhood, we were Very HOT and very THIRSTY. When we walked in, all of the waiters immediately saw us, but they just continued to go about their business. We are hard not to see. While waiting, we kept on looking for a menu but didn’t see one. At that point we were told we could sit anywhere. We chose a table by the window. After sitting at the table, we waited and waited for one of the waiters to serve us but it seemed like no one wanted to work our table. All 3 or 4 waiters and waitresses continued to walk past our table over and over again without even a hello to us. Honestly, if we were not with my relative and they had not had such high hope for this establishment, I would have walked out. It was clear to me at that point that they really didn’t want to serve us. For the sake of my family member and keeping peace, I stayed. We finally get someone’s attention and the male waiter comes over but seems to have a bit of an attitude. We ask to see the menu and he tells us that we have to take a pic of the QR code. So we get up and walk back to the door and take a picture. We were finally brought water and utensils. I had no idea it was an ale house and none of us were ordering beer. There weren’t any other drink choices. If you are a beer drinker, they have a vast menu. We had to stick with water. Checking out the appetizer menu, we decided on their Angels Wings. I have to say, the wings were a great size and had great flavor. They came sauceless and had an incredible crunch to it. What I also liked about this appetizer was it came with 4 dipping sauces. I truly enjoyed the house hot sauce and moose drool. As far as our meals, there were 4 of us so we ordered the Outlaw Burger, Brewlwee Burger and 2 the Centrals. One Central chicken sandwich was served with coleslaw and one with fries. With so much anticipation and their great presentation, I was ready for an amazing burger and chicken sandwich. What I will say is that they definitely use quality ingredients. Everything was super fresh but it lacked the flavor I was hoping for. The coleslaw was neither sweet nor sour. I needed it to choose a flavor. The house ketchup tasted like tomato sauce. For all of the exciting extras, I wanted more. The overall experience was disappointing. If it wasn’t for the wings and family, the total experience would have been disheartening. I would not go back.

Always a great experience for dinner, drinks, or both! Food is always delicious. Service is always top notch even thou they are always very busy. They have the best local craft beers, ipa, ale, and ciders on tap. They offer a take home 32 ounce can of any of the drinks they have on tap. They make the best homemade pop tarts. The flavor changes every week but they always taste great. I highly recommend this restaurant for dinner, drinks, and pop tarts!

Great spot with lots of beer selection and impressive food menu. I ordered The Matador...a sliced brisket sandwich with grueyer cheese, peppers, and a mild horseradish sauce on the side. It was excellent. Even more surprisingly impressive was the Cole slaw. Made with the typical slaw components of cabbage and carrots, the addition of dried cranberries and a sweet vinegar sauce was a great change of pace on slaw.

What a brilliant place - expansive patio, cute decor and super friendly service. They had a great selection of drinks - including wine and beer flights. The food was outstanding too: my Churchill grilled cheese sandwich with tater tots and homemade ketchup was absolutely delicious. Superb value. Really liked it here!

They may have tried to stall my job site, but boy is the beer refreshing, and the food beyond scrumptious. I would absolutely eat their again!

This place is awesome! They have amazing food and great beer selection. Their beer selection is always rotating so you will always have an opportunity to try a new beer from across the country. They have a decent wine selection too although I’ve only had their beer. The back patio is really cool with the Phoenix skyline as a backdrop and some Adirondack chairs beneath these really pretty trees that have a bright yellow flower on them. Very chill space.

Great food and an awesome beer wall to pick from. The outdoor patio is really nice and the misters help in the heat.

This menu needs a complete over haul and the guy with glasses and short black hair needs to find a different career that isn't customer facing. Food was over cooked and half my order forgotten in the kitchen only to be brought out cold.

  • 4/5 Mark D. 4 years ago on Google
Food has always been good, service is friendly and consistent. Could be faster, but that could just be my skewed perception as I usually end up waiting for people to show up. The double cheeseburger was delicious, the sauce makes it. Whatever they put in that sauce is spectacular and will leave you wanting more. Rib tips are great. Everything pretzel based is to die for, it will seriously destroy your keto diet, also worth it. Parking is free, if you can find a space. This is one of my pet peeves. People often park here and go elsewhere. This isn't the restaurants fault, obviously, just annoying. Watched someone take the last spot the other day only to get into another car and drive away.

You can always count on Angel's Trumpet for a great, changing special menu, and delicious house recipes on the full time menu. They have one of THE largest beer/ale/wine menus, and are always busy-which is a great thing. I always love coming here when I'm downtown! And you will, too ?

  • 5/5 Brandi P. 4 years ago on Google
Burgers were SO good! Awesome selection of beers and fun environment. Dogs are welcome here and since they disappeared so quickly upon entering, I can assume they were seated in the outdoor patio area. The volume of TV's and music could have been a tiny bit lower to make conversation easier but overall, we had a great meal and a great time!

This was a GREAT beginning to our Spring training trip. We visited late evening with 3 dogs. Their outdoor patio was dog friendly, open and clean. The staff were exceptionally kind and gracious to us. We ordered their fish tacos, AWESOME, some of the best I've had and their special was the brisket sliders plate, which came with lots of goodies, DELICIOUS. They even let us Order a side of brisket for our fur babies. Some restaurants will make us order "the whole meal". They did not and charged us accordingly! We will return in the future!

New place we tried out, heard food things. Well if you are a craft beer enthusiast, this is the place for you! Tons of craft beers to choose from and you can get a flight of them to try a few to find the one you enjoy most. The food was great! Had the crispy pork ribbs, loved them!!!!! Had to order seconds on them also had the sausage plate that came with a special chorizo sausage SCORE!!! Everyone in my party ordered burgers so I got to taste them, the beef patties were really good! I am just not a fan of the bun or the leafy greens in a burger. I enjoyed my guppy fish tacos that came with a pico de gallo that I swear I made myself. Lol kudos to the pico de gallo maker. Enjoyed my tacos with a rojo beer and everyone elses #22 a dark chocolate beer that only i enjoyed. Will definitely be back and would recoment to anyone. Friendly ataff very nice casual place to enjoy great food and beer!!

This is probably one of my absolute favorite places in all of downtown. My BF introduced me to Angel's Trumpet almost 3 years ago and we basically moved to downtown Phoenix just to be closer to this place. The beer selection is ever changing and always good. The food is always phenomenal. I think the food here, is the best part. I am sad to say I haven't been here in a few months due to the pandemic, but once this is over, I swear, we are so coming back for a beer and delicious food. I am also not worried about a highrise going up next to this building. I am sad to see the mural dissapear (I've gotten a ton of pictures of it) and the view of downtown was pretty good, but I feel once the building is built, it will provide more shade for the patio during the summer months. All in all, 5 stars. We've never had a bad experience here. Can't wait to go back.

very mixed experience at my last visit here. I went inside to order two chicken sandwiches to go and my name was not taken for the order. was told the wait would be 10-15 minutes. walked around outside and came back 12 minutes later for the food. was handed two boxes and walked home. upon opening the food discovered it was a buffalo chicken pizza and an order of wings. completely wrong order but was too far and hungry to go back. food was pretty good tho. thanks "Brian" for your food. hope you liked mine.

We recently visited Angels Trumpet (Downtown location) while in Phoenix for a convention. We had no idea what to expect but went based on the reviews. What a fun & enjoyable experience. Our server, Josh, was amazing & very friendly. I enjoyed a glass of draft wine - Pinot Gris, and my friend had a draft beer (we can’t remember which one). The pretzel appetizer was so yummy. We could have eaten another plate of those. For our mains we had the bbq brisket grilled cheese with fries and the central Sammy with coleslaw. Both were delicious. We loved the decor, the ambiance and the staff who obviously enjoyed their jobs. We will definitely be back on our next visit to Phoenix.

The food was really good, the burger was almost like grilling a fat burger at home. I got bacon and an egg on it, so good. The server was not impressive, went to the bar to get drinks, he finally came over and felt rushed and we were bothering him. Actually pretty funny, when I started flirting with him, he became alot more attentive to us. My wife was crackin up. Food is very good. Alot of draft beer options, 72 I think.

Several draft wines and about 18 draft beers available. Anything your heart could desire. IPA, Dunkel, sours, saison, porter, name it. They're awesome at letting you have a taste before ordering a full pint. Good food, too. The pretzel appetizer was today's choice.

Environment of this place is really laid back relaxing and yet still upbeat and fun. Personally believe it is inexpensive for the experience. Definitely would recommend this location if your looking to try different beers with their famous beer flights. There is a variety of 31 different beers on top. Food is served up until 10:30 P.M. and there is both indoor and out door seating. Not overly crowed for a Saturday night. Does appear to have some games to play outside. Parking is a little difficult again it is located in downtown. Overall experience was fantastic and extremely attentive and awesome staff and customer service.

First impression, you walk in and there is a sign asking you to scan the menu and seat yourself. As soon as we sat down, our server arrived with waters and took our drink order. It was so hard to decide what to eat, they have such tasty options, I was torn between the Matador and the brisket grilled cheese. He recommended the Matador and holy moly....it was pure perfection! You can taste the smokiness as soon as you put the sandwich in your mouth, before you even bite it! Our server was kind enough to do the Margarita pizza with half pepperoni for us even though it wasn’t on the menu. It was delicious, not too heavy, definitely not lacking flavor and so fresh. My child wanted wings and this place came up as the #1 wing spot on trip advisor so we ordered her some wings and first of all, these wings are pretty big!!! They are also perfectly crisp on the outside and the sauces are both delicious!! I don’t even like wings and I LOVED these! My honey is a wing man and he said these are the best wings he’s had! We did wait a little for our food, except the pizza, but we had a big order and everything came out at the same time which is very much appreciated. My honey got the brewlee burger, whoever made this recipe is pure genius! I don’t eat pork, I don’t care for bacon and, again, you guys had my mouth watering over this!! Can’t wait to see you guys again, the beer selection is plentiful, I didn’t try any since my child was with me but my honey was very impressed that a place with such a vast selection of beer also had such tasty food, he’s eating my daughter’s leftover wings as I write this. Highly recommend stopping by here!!

Great vibe out on the patio, dog friendly and not over crowed. The food is amazing, wanted to try almost everything on the menu- the waitress recommended the brewlee burger and it was *fire emoji* so we're the soft pretzels! Awesome selection of beer and even draft wine that rotates, would definitely recommend

First of all, my husband says he’s taking their Jefferson Quesadilla to the grave. He says it’s the best thing he’s ever eaten which is saying something. Also, THE FISH TACOS. literally what dreams are made of. I’ve tried several other Phoenix restaurants looking for good fish tacos and I’m here to tell you that better fish tacos don’t exist. If you’re not into fish, try them anyway. My husband didn’t like fish till he tried these and now he raves about them. SO 👏🏻 GOOD 👏🏻 The riblets are also 10/10.

Maybe it should have been obvious with how few veggie options they had, but the blackberry burger was doomed from the start. It was falling apart before I even lifted the burger all the way to my mouth. It was a tasteless mush when I finally did get a bite. That being said, my friends sandwiches did look pretty good, and they had no complaints. And with decent fries and a wide beer selection they aren't the worst spot to grab a bite.

Great place for a beer and pub food. Huge patio with plenty of space. Big beer selection with a simple but great menu. The wings are bomb for sure. Had the Brisket Grilled Cheese, loved it. Will definitely come back, will be better when it's cooler in town no doubt.

Angels Trumpet has a great beer list and awesome service. It's a good place to hang out and have a beer or two but the food is very lacking. We ordered a pizza and some potato taquitos. Both of which were drenched in cheese and very generic tasting. I would recommend this place for the beer and atmosphere but I was very disappointed in the food.

Hidden gem! Angels Ale House had spectacular food and beer, and the topper is the staff. After a great evening I accidentally left a meaningful t-shirt I received as a gift at this establishment. I thought it was lost but they found it after a few days, kept it, and called me back to let me know it was safety stored and that I could pick it up anytime. Good people- you should check this out for sure.

Great spot and a ton of beers on tap. They also have wine on tap as well. The selection can be overwhelming so just ask the server and they’ll give you some great options.

Went on a Sunday afternoon. They have pitcher deals on some beers for $9. They have a big selection of beers and wines. The food was really good too. There were 4 of us and we had the fish tacos which were outstanding, battered and not greasy, a veggie burger which was a large homemade patty, seasoned really well. The double royal burger and the smoked brisket sandwich both were tasty. Their fries are crisp and seasoned well with some skin on. Service was also good.

Angel's Trumpet Ale House was a great place for dinner on a recent trip to Phoenix. They have a great patio area with attentive servers and a huge beer selection. It is kid-friendly and dog-friendly and we saw many of each. The music selection was great - a mix of modern rock classics that was played at a reasonable level to be able to carry on a conversation with others. We had the bbq brisket grilled cheese and the central sandwiches. The sandwiches were great but the fries were not very good. We had the homemade pop tarts - I highly recommend finishing your meal with these! I will return to Angel's Trumpet Ale House the next time I am in Phoenix!

A favorite since it opened. Never go wrong with a rptating tap list of 30 beers, scrumptous food and a relaxed atmosphere. The TV dinner is a mist on Tuesday night. Costs.less than most items on the.menu and you will not be hungry for more afterwards.

Service was very slow. The ambience was OK. You can tell the setting, but the food and the drinks are not good at all. They only serve wine and beer‼️ my quesadilla crust was hard, but the bottom was very soggy. Ordered a strawberry Mamosa and it taste like straight metal. Seems like it was more champagne than it was. strawberry. The only good thing was the salsa and chips.

My brother-in-beers, believe me when I say the best thing they have here isn't the beer. It's the god-damned pop tarts, with the BBQ Brisket grilled cheese being a close second. They do have 25-30 rotating tap options, and the selection varied, so I'm sure you'll find something you like. But the food stole the show. The pop tart was a peanut butter and brownie flaky pastry that was just perfect. I bet it was 1500 calories, but I didn't even care. The sammie was great too, in-house smoked brisket with some well toasted bread and some pretty good fries as well. Bartender said they change the pop tart flavor every month. If I lived here, I would be here every month eating the new one, based off of how good this peanut butter and brownie one was. Do yourself a favor and eat it.

This is my favorite bar in Phoenix. The atmosphere is just right. The one working television is hilarious. Maybe there is two. Not really sure because I spend my time playing bean bag toss with strangers. The beer selection is amazing and always different. No matter what you like, you will find something rare and fantastic. The staff is friendly and the food is good. Can't say enough about one of Arizona's hidden gems.

Been coming here consistently just for the pop tarts 😅 they are phenomenal and worth the trip. They also always have a really great selection of rotating taps which include ciders and wines. We finally came for dinner to try the food and overall it was good - not exceptional but not bad. The wings were the stand out dish - best Buffalo sauce I’ve ever had & they were nice and crispy.

First time coming here for food. We got there right when they opened for lunch. Our waitress was amazing, great conversions we had with her. The food was delicious. I ordered the 810 sandwich but in a wrap. My friend ordered the 810 as it comes, both very good. The fries and homemade ketchup were also very tasty. We ordered beer flights and all the beers were great. Cool that this place has happy hour every day until 6PM. Overall, great experience. I will definitely be back for more food and drinks.

Where to start… food was awesome! Wife and I had the outlaw burger and the matador brisket Sammy. Fries were tasty, the beers are outstanding! No bad picks here! The place was loud, but great beer and youthful customers make for loud… we took the pop tart to go and oh man! They are so good if we known this when walking in, I would ordered a dozen! Look forward to another trip to Phoenix soon!

Had dinner here after a conference. Outdoor seating was perfect. Service was good. A sting selection of beers and cider. In had the turkey sandwich which was tasty. The fries were okay not bad just a little plain. The sauce that came with them was amazing.
