The reviews don’t match the quality of their food. Nice atmosphere but the place was super warm inside. There were lots of house flys on the window and around the dining area that made dining in uncomfortable. The food was cool. It is very much comparable to bar food. The food was also not flavorful as described by its customers. The bread was rock hard. The staff handled our drinking glasses from the rim rather than the sides of the cup. The staff was not friendly at all. We felt rushed and we’re not given proper table service. We had to ask for napkins and small table items. My visit was very unpleasant overall. This place sure went downhill from five years ago.

This is a very unique restaurant it gives you the warmth and coziness of home! The patio is very beautiful! the lights and decor it's like from a fairy tail. It's highly recommended for a date night 💯. it also great for a nice gathering of friends or family. The food was really good. I didn't take pictures of everything we ordered but mixed veggies, calamari and all the pizzas that we ordered were on point 👌 their wine collection 💯 and last but not least keep some space for dessert and check the online menu for the day's yummy specials.

Finally came in to try this place and was not disappointed. Started off with a caprese salad that was just delicious. Wife and I had are own pizza each which is definitely doable, they're just the right size for most people to eat one on their own. The crust was great and just the right chew to it and flavor. Staff was super friendly and very attentive. Great seating indoors and nice outdoors for when the Temps are lower but there is a fair amount of shade from the trees, plus the misters. Definitely a return spot for pizza.

This place was sooo good. A must try for locals and tourists alike. I’d recommend making a reservation if it’s during a busy time. We went on a Tuesday evening without a reservation and got in quickly. The food was exquisite. The customer service was great too. Our waitress was very kind and attentive. Attached pictures show what we got. It was a little irritating paying $2 for a side of banana but it really elevated the dessert. Decent prices for how delicious everything was. Definitely didn’t leave hungry!

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Phoenix, and my go to for anniversary and birthday celebrations. When the weather is nice the patio cannot be beat - delicious, fresh food underneath the cozily lit trees. Bonus points when there is lovely live music! Whatever they put in their pizza/calzone sauce makes it my all time favorite.

The staff here is 5 star! My friend and I had a dinner date here, and they really went above and beyond at the end of the night. We were chatting until the staff had to leave for the night, but three of the staff came out with candles and told us if we wanted to stay and talk that we could. It was one of the nicest and most sincere staff we have come across. The food was also great as well! Their pizza and desserts are both great, which is why we originally decided to go to Cibo. Thank you to the staff for going above and beyond!

The staff was so kind and the food was delicious. We celebrated my brother in laws birthday here and they have a complimentary crepe which was so yummy (according to him). Overall, amazing ambiance and loved eating here!!! Would come again. Also the chicken pesto salad was to die for. So so yummy!

You can tell effort goes into their food, environment, and the way staff serves you. The laid back environment is relaxing with trees providing comfortable shade. The birds are present but not troublesome, they add to the ambiance only to go after your scraps after you leave. Their food is made to order, so don't come here expecting quickly made food. Their food was a uncommon experience, not one that starts with a factory. We had their tomato based pizze with spicy salami (forget the name) and added arugula to it. Their calamari is not overbreaded and showed up piping hot. My only wish is they would have more variety in their lunch menu.

First time trying CIBO, heard many great things about this place, the inside and outside is super cute. Everything we ordered was good. Get there early because it gets packed pretty quickly. Enjoy!

I went to this place and fell in love right away. The atmosphere is cozy, amazing, calm. The food was spectacular. I had dinner at the bar. The bartender did an amazing job with us, the best service I’ve ever had in a long time. The food tasted really great. Highly recommend this place.

I’m very sad and disappointed that I have to rate it so low, we were consistent customers (5-7 times a month) my wife and 5 kiddos loved this place. We went to celebrate my birthday as we have been doing so for the last 5 years at Cibos and was rudely told by the manager ( owners son) that he couldn’t take us due to COVID. Now I understand the concern but what really bothered me was that there was a group of 13 people sitting at the large table on the side of the building the same table that a week prior me and 8 coworkers sat at. He didn’t bother trying an OUNCE to accommodate us what so ever. No crowds, not busy at all. It was a Tuesday evening 5 pm. There was seven of us, 2 adults 5 kids. My kids are all below the age of 7. Really sucked. Simply said he couldn’t and walked back inside.

CIBO is a great little restaurant. Your pizzas are really good and you got to get the charcuterie board. There was stuff on there I had never seen before. 😋. And no meal is complete without trying one of their absolutely delicious crepes. It was so decadent and so delicious. We definitely coming back for more.

Absolutely loved this place! First time visiting Phoenix and wanted a nice dinner. Sat outdoors, the ambience is pleasant with all the plants and coolers. They have two kinds of pizza one with red sauce and another with white. We ordered one of each and both were delicious. The wine suggestions were spot on. Desert was good but not wow!

If you try to make a reservation online it seems like they never have availability but don’t be discouraged, I went on a Sunday evening and was seated immediately because it was quite empty. The ambiance is pretty quiet and cozy. Definitely a good date night spot. The food was pretty good, started with the calamari, which was nothing out of this world. For entrees, we shared a half pepperoni/half tartufata pizza and their pasta special which had Italian sausage with vodka sauce. The pizza was delicious but the pasta was a bit bland and barely had any sausage at all. For the amount of hype this place gets, it’s pretty average. The staff is nice but did the bare minimum serving our table.

Came here for my birthday with a large party and they were excellent hosts- they really made a great effort to make sure we were well taken care of the entire evening! All the staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Not to mention the food is so delicious and reasonable priced ! Thank you for making it a great birthday celebration!

I love this place. It combines great tasting food & wines with ambience and great service. Our preferred seating is outdoors and on the weekend evenings. They have a beautiful patio area that is strung with lights. There is often a musician playing jazz. Be prepared for a wait during dinner hours - it's worth it! They do have a little chill space to the side of the building while you wait on for seating and serve beverages. We started our dinning experience with the polpette (Italian meatballs and grilled bread) and the omera salad (mixed greens with strawberries and candied pecans). We then followed that with the margherita pizza as the main course. All tasted excellent.

CIBO is one of those rare restaurants that will deliver you a true 5 star experience every time. The food, the service, and the atmosphere are all far above par. Their pizzas and other Italian dishes are fresh, high quality, and of course delicious. The outdoor patio, complete with lighting, fireplaces, plants/trees, and often live music, is the perfect setting for a get together with friends or family, or especially a date night. A small mistake on our order was taken care of quickly, and service was fast. The calamari was delicious, and so was our pizza and sandwich. Note that they don’t take reservations other than large parties, so on a busy night, you might have to wait awhile for a table. Parking can be a pain on your own, but use their valet services to make things easier for yourself.

Heard all about the rave of this place so had to visit of course. I went on a weekday around 2 pm so there was no wait. Ordered the pepperoni and WOW. When I took the first bite I'm pretty sure my eyes closed (that's what I do when something is GOOD). Overall it was a great experience.

Pizza was made fast and good but nothing really separating them from other pizzerias. Still worth trying at least once.

  • 4/5 Alex C. 4 years ago on Google
The food was good and a very cool place. But the staff needs to be a bit more into its customer, vs talking with them self's. They seemed a bit standoffish when we ask for some simple changes while siting outside in 40 degree weather at night with a party of 12.

  • 1/5 Jamison; S. 3 years ago on Google
Disappointed in the delivery order. The calzone looked average from the outside. Inside it was luke warm and somewhat soggy. The side of marinara sauce I asked for tasted like it had sugar poured in it to sweeten it. I also did not receive utensils or napkins. Very disappointed and won't be giving this location a try again.

Excellent food, great service! I had the linguine cacio e pepe($15), and it was super tasty. My friends had two of the pizzas($14), one with the nduja which he said was awesome! The restaurant also has a very nice atmosphere and setting!

Tucked away on a quiet street. This quaint and charming place had my heart. As we walked in for our date night I was transported to a magical place lit up by white lights, and a familiar authentic old world feel. (I have never been to Italy) I love the atmosphere and ambiance perfect for date night. While the loud party next to us almost ruined our experience. Then came the pizza....wow we ordered the sausage they make their own ? mozzarella. The crust tho....whoa soft and perfect inside and crunchy yet soft and chewy on the outside. Paired with the char fire flavor from the wood pizza oven just yummy! The sausage was amazing!!! We shared a 12" and had a Crepe for dessert ? I will definitely be back over and over again! The price is very affordable they have alot on the menu I want to try!!!

One my favorite places to eat when I'm in town. Amazing flavored iced tea. House made limoncello. Great wine selection. Pizza is always outstanding. Fire oven style and always delectable. The fungi with added salami is top notch. Plus the calamari is always a go to for me. I always make time to eat here and it has become a tradition is my house hold. Crepes are always a must so save some room. Great service and lovely ambiance.

  • 5/5 Kristen F. 4 years ago on Google
This is probably my favorite authentic Italian pizza place in Phoenix! The crust is perfect, you get the char from the fire but it’s never burnt tasting. They have a nice wine selection to compliment whatever you order. They’ve been packed every time i visit, but it’s worth the wait if you don’t have a reservation.

If you want Italian food, come here! From drinks to food it was amazing! Because of COVID, they take reservations and sit outside but worth it. The ambiance was so pretty. The servers were friendly. I do not eat meat , I got the pasta (linguine di cacio) with no meat=to die for. My boyfriend got the pizza and he loved it. We ended the night with Nutella and strawberry crepe- delicious. We are coming here again!

Sat out on the patio during a recent weekend visit...to catch up with longtime friends I hadn't seen in forever. Drinks were flowing as so was the nostalgic conversation! We had a simple meal; my best friend and I each had our own salad and then we shared a pizza. The house salad with balsamic vinaigrette was tasty, but really just a standard salad including mixed greens, grape tomatoes and shaved parmesan. The capricciosa pizza we shared was solid! It was loaded with prosciutto, mushrooms, artichokes and black olives. It's crust was charred just right, as you could see from the heat bubbles in the crust. Love it when there is both chew and crackle in a pizza crust. Lovely evening, great company and a fine pie made for a very enjoyable meal.

Excellent pizza place. They have a big variety of pizzas. You cannot wrong with any of them. The atmosphere in the restaurant is excellent, they have spray mist for the hot days and you do not even feel it. Favorite pizza is the Tartufata.

SO GOOD EVEN THE BIRDS FLOCK OVER FOR THE PARTY I dont know what they put in there food, but let me tell you ... Cibos is addicting .. try the Diavala and Calamari... at the end the Fruit Proscunni (fresh berry , mascarpone cream , and all wrapped in crepe )

If you’ve ever been to Italy & know how wonderful the food is there, then go to Cibo’s because it’s as close to Italy as you’ll find anywhere. Their salad are generous, and their Antipasto is the very best. The small size Antipasto is plenty for two. And their pastas are delicious, and well as their pizzas. Thinking they may make their own pastas, all cooked to al dente perfection. Delightful Crepe & Nutella desserts. Great service. Highly recommend.

Everything here was absolutely fantastic. Not one thing we had was not exemplary. We had the Burrata, and Meatball appetizer. Both were outstanding but those meatballs may have been some of the best I've ever had. Then we had the Margerita and the Diavola (spicy salame), now if you guys are like me you would figure spicy salame wasn't that spicy. You would be wrong. It's not overly spicy as compared to spicy Indian or Thai but it was surprising. Also, it was delicious. But for those of you with an aversion to spice you might want to be made aware. Lol. I haven't even talked about the crust, which was magnificent. Everything was amazing. Also, I loved their Covid protocols. As someone who hasn't gone to a sit down meal in a restaurant since February I was willing to try this because it's a huge patio that is well seperared. You don't even have to enter the place. Everything is set up outside. It felt like as safe as you can be in a sit down restaurant setting.

This place is a little of Italian Heaven. We sat in the courtyard listening 3 matured Italian men chatting away they just added to the atmosphere. Then ugh, the food took me back to a little Pizzeria in Naples,Italy. The pizza reminded us of a mom n pop pizza place in Paris. when ever I am in Phoenix this place for sure I will make time for to enjoy a meal. Love their sense of humor.

Food is good. Customer service is horrible. The host responded to me with "you must if misunderstood". When told over the phone walk-ins were welcomed. No matter the circumstance you never say "you must of misunderstood" to a customer. I suggest your whole staff be trained on basic customer service.

LOVED the outdoor atmosphere. Service was excellent. She was just visible enough to be awesome. Didn"t get her name cuz I was on a blind date and I was more important. However, the spicy salami pizza was a WOW! If you have done pepperoni enough for a while - try it. The hidden gem is the "not on the menu" shot of double chocolate liquor or the limoncello! Both are homemade! Overall, clean, s.distance, flavorful excellent.

My bestfriend brought me here for brunch. I love the vibrations in here, the music they are playing, the friendly waiters and the delicious food I ordered. Will definitely come back.

My fav spot for pizza. Service treated us so kindly. This place has a good feel to it. Menu is similar to a restaurant in El Paso I loved.

Excellent Italian Fare at this restaurant. The menu items I selected were generously portioned and tasty. Nice Italian flavors.

My wife and I have been coming here for a few years. I've always enjoyed their food. It was my favorite place to eat at for a few months. The food is always delicious and the service is great. It's a beautiful building that they're in and it's really got a pretty hip vibe. The only criticisms I have is that it's a pain to find a parking spot sometimes and it can take a long time to get your order in/wait for food/pay. I'd be prepared to spend at least an hour up here, but that's alright. Also, the mandatory reservations is annoying. I had to book a table a week out from when we went. I still highly recommend you try this place.

Our new go to date night pizza spot! We ordered a bottle of red wine, the burrata app, tortellini and two pizzas. We were thrilled to take home enough leftovers for a whole meal! Highly recommend.

The fashion is really pretty and the scenery is great. I had the caprese first and it was fantastic and the tomatoes were super fresh. Next we had a pizza , not sure what it was called but it had the sausage. It was really, really good. . Very light considering it was a pizza and I loved it. What appeared to be the manager was very present and helping out with tables. I did think it was a little odd our server for the most part never checked on us but he also seemed super busy … and I was enjoying my company anyways. 10/10 would recommend and return

Awesome, awesome, AWESOME place! Did I mention this place was awesome? Great outdoor misted seating, located right in the heart of downtown. We had the calamari, one of their many salads, and two pizzas! All were delicious and had us wanting to try the desserts! We had the fruit topped crepe and the Nutella shake. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great date night out!

A friend and I went here for my birthday and we loved it! Fast service and lovely waiters. It was so so cute when we arrived during the day, birds were chirping and walking around right next to us. Then when night fell and the twinkly lights came on it looked even prettier!! The lights and all the plants and the birds being right there with us made it feel like a fairytale 🥰

We went here with a friend while visiting Phoenix. We sat outside. The ambience was really nice, and it seemed like a swanky spot. There was live music and water misters to stay cool. The waiter was nice. The food, however was lacking. It left a lot to be desired, especially for the price (15 dollars a pizza). Maybe this was just the vegetarian options we ordered. The sauce wasn’t flavorful and the toppings were dry. The cheese was not very flavorful either. However, the crust was very good. Our friend that ordered a meat-based pizza was much happier with her selection. We would not come back. However, if you are looking for a hip pizza place to impress, CIBO may be for you.

awesome cozy spot in the historical downtown neighborhood w outstanding pizza. The toast and meatballs for an appetizer was really good. The bread is made in-house and it was toasted enough to be crispy but still slightly soft to eat w the meatballs. For pizza I got half tartufata and half procida. They went together extremely well but still stand up strong separately. I haven't had pizza that tasted like this before and I appreciated that it was unique. The flavors were well balanced that sauces and additional toppings are not necessary. This is a place I'd take my friends who haven't tried it.

We went for dinner. It’s very hot in the entire restaurant. I wish I would have tried the pizza but after the two appetizers we tried we no longer wanted to be there. Don’t waste your time with The fried calamari. It was rubbery and disgusting. We also got the buratta which wasn’t bad but it need cracked black pepper and sea salt and they only had table stuff available. The container with the balsamic vinegar leaked all over everything as well. It was a mess and the bread they brought us to the table had burnt edges and was hard to eat.

Ok, so not 5 stars because the service was not so good, but we have been there before and had better. The big problem was all the food didn't come out at once. As we waited for the other couple ours became super cold and therefore wasn't as fresh when we decided to eat. The waitress came out about 20 minutes later and said the food would be out soon. Having said all this, they did make it up with two free dessert dishes. Based on past experiences, we will give it another try.

I have been dining at Cibo for a few years. This is one of my favorite restaurants! I visited on September 1st, Jesus was our server and I can confidently say that this was the best service I’ve ever had here. The food is always delicious. I love eating outside during the evening because of the atmosphere. This is a great spot to bring friends and loved ones. Highly recommend making a reservation - we always make one any time we come because they can get quite busy at times.

First time visiting and it everything was great — food, atmosphere and service. Their pizza was really good! It can be difficult to find parking but other than that, it was a nice experience.

Great pizza and pasta! It's such a nice place for any occasion, and I highly recommend reserving a table ahead of time. Their pastries are really good, and some of them are imported from Italy, but their tiramisu wasn’t that good; it was just a little bit dried.

Amazing!!! The atmosphere is so fun and inviting. The food is insanely delicious, a must in Phoenix. The Ostia salad was good, probably will try something different next time but still really awesome. The burratta was amazing and so fresh to start and definitely enough to share with 4 people. The gnocchetti so formaggi was the best gnocchi I’ve had in the US. It’s INSANE. Top 3 best dishes I’ve had in years. The tartufata pizza was good, my only complaint was the pizza was a little soggy but the flavors were still great. Highly recommend!

I’ve been coming here for years and ever since I showed my partner, it’s been our date spot! This place honestly never disappoints and over the years I’ve tried many more dishes then the ones posted here and still have nothing bad to say. Perfect date spot, solo date or even mommy daughter date. Wait times can be long so keep that in mind when you go.

I must say that CIBO serves the most amazing Neapolitan-style pizza in the valley! Having tried almost every pizza place in the area, I can confidently say that CIBO is the best. The pizza marguerita was soft, elastic and easy to fold, the crust had some flame blisters, the tomato sauce tasted just right and the mozzarella cheese was perfect. The restaurant's atmosphere is amazing, especially when you sit outside under the trees, it looks really cool. Furthermore, the staff was very attentive and helpful when we placed our order.

This was our second time eating here. The first was outside during a busy time where we were able to enjoy a live musician while we stuffed ourselves. We ordered a lot of food and were overall very impressed, although we did not expect the Mixed Vegetables to be cold and weren't especially fond of them. The Gnocchetti ai Formaggi I ordered during my first trip was fantastic, and the crust of my husband's pizza was so delicious I was already looking forward to my next trip to try out their pizza. We started our second visit with Polpette. The sauce and meatballs were tasty, but I couldn't stop thinking about how incredible the bread was. It had a very fresh and woodfired taste to it. The Dolce Vita pizza was delicious. It was a bit sweet but not overly so, and there was a lot of arugula. I would have liked a little more spek, but it added a nice touch to each bite that had some on it. My husband ordered the Salsiccia con Patate pizza, which had a mild flavor. The Fresca crepe was a sweet ending to our meal.

We love CIBO!!! Delicious food, perfect service and beautiful atmosphere. The size of Pisa is more than enough for one person. Salads are big and so fresh. Deserts are so good and pretty big portions. Very reasonable prices !!!Highly recommend it!!!! Advice: Change your website photos. They did not showcase how actually big are your dishes.

I recently had the opportunity to dine at Cibo , and I was blown away by the experience. I ordered the Deavolo pizza, and it was absolutely delicious with a nice spice. The sauce was tangy and flavorful, the cheese was gooey and melted perfectly. The crust was thin and crispy, and it held up well to the weight of the toppings. We had the squash ravioli as an appetizer and it was very good. It was the perfect appetizer to start off my meal. In addition to the delicious food, the service at Cibo was also excellent. My server was friendly and attentive, and she made sure that I had everything I needed. She also offered some great recommendations on what to order. Overall, we had a wonderful experience at Cibo. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. I would highly recommend Cibo to anyone looking for a great pizza experience.

First thing you notice is the vibe. Immediately disarmed by how calm and relaxed the environment they have created for you. It's down to the small details. Not overly done. Bravo. The service was impressive, even as full as they were, wine and appetizers were served rather quickly. The gentleman that helped us, was an absolute legend. He was fantastic!!! Thank you very much Richie, you're an absolute ripper mate!!!! Now, the main event. The food. It has been a while since I've enjoyed a very well seasoned, properly proportioned meal. The crust on our pizza and calzone, was superb. The suggestions were on point. We will absolutely be coming back. If you are looking for a new place to relax, have a brilliant meal and some rather lively musical accompaniment, this is the best place I've found in the states. My complements to the Chef. It was an absolute delight. Bravo! Bravo!

Where should I start? Dinner date with my wife and she picked to eat here. It was actually the first time either of us has been here. Cibo did not disappoint. It is Thursday night, but we were seated almost immediately. Our server Jamey was great. Couldn’t have asked for a more attentive and knowledgeable server. Food was great, it’s hard to describe the flavors, but I think it’s a place you need to try yourself.

We definitely love this place and will be coming back very soon. There’s so many things on the menu I wanted to try but got 2 pizzas and a salad and they were all delicious. 🤤

Loved this place! The pizza is one of the best ones I ever had! The staff was so lovely and really accommodating of our tight schedule! The outdoor garden is very lovely as well

Beautiful restaurant with indoor and outdoor space. The outdoor space is perfect for winter weather as heaters are available for guests. I really enjoy their pizza and calamari. The pizza dough is bouncy in a good way. Calamari was crispy and well seasoned. I personally not enjoy their Saltimbocca Caldi that much. The Polpette meatball one was a bit dried and Alla Parmigiana texture was a bit weird.

Favorite Italian spot in PHX! There is usually a wait time without a reservation. Relaxing bar in the back to hangout and have a drink while you wait. Lots of pizza options not many pasta options but hand made and delish!
