My daughter and I had a layover in Phoenix so we ventured into the downtown. We popped into this little pizza place and were simply stunned by the level of service, care and quality of the food not to mention how clean the restaurant was. 110% amazing. Our waiter was very busy but took the time to explain the menu. You could really tell this wasn't just a job. He was very passionate about what he did. I may plan a layover next time I am flying through Phoenix just to go to Pomo! *Update* This time my fiance' and I planned a layover on our way through and just got back from Pomo. Quite possibly the best pizza I’ve had in years. Was in Phoenix for the weekend and ate here twice in three days, that says something lol. The taste is just perfect! If you’re in town, make sure to try out their pizza or pasta. You won’t regret it. My personal favorite is a pizza they call “Principe”, and we had it with vegan cheese rather than mozzarella.

Unexpected, super delicious! Both the pasta and pizza were perfect. Also, really fast service, if you go on a Monday evening. I think this may be the best pizza I've had in the area. Better than Bianco's, for sure. There will be a wait if you on the weekend though. So be prepared, or reserve in advanced. Very recommended!

Local pizza joint with adjacent gelato bar. We were satisfied with our choices: fresh, generous portion. The place smells as it should: of pizza oven and tangy sauces. Our waitress was pleasant and accommodating. A young staff but not immature or diffident. Only criticism: the crust was a bit doughy for our tastes: not raw, but low on structure in a way that emulates being under-done. I think it may have been a matter of being under-proved rather than undercooked. But it was still delicious: seasoned beautifully with delicious toppings. One other suggestion: offer cracked pepper and a little more dressing (I mean a TAD more) for the salad, and you’ll lift the experience just a wee bit further. Atmosphere: casual, cozy, familial. If you want gelato, be prepared to start a new ticket. It is not a part of the restaurant menu.

POMO Pizzeria is a an Italian Pizzeria located in Downtown of Phoenix. it was a pleasant discovery because after 10days in USA we would like to eat something of Italian food. This Pizzeria is managed to Italian people and the Pizza is very similar to Naples Pizza. The price is very high then Italy but for USA is a good price. I suggest this Pizzeria to all people that want to try something of Italian food

Alright, so I went to a pizza place and didn't have pizza. It's OK, it happens sometimes. Frankly I think that's what I love about this place. If you go to a pizza place and order something other than pizza, don't complain of it isn't fantastic ... but here's the thing, it WAS fantastic. Claudia recommended the meatball paninni and man was I glad she did. It was perfect. A must have Speaking of Claudia ... she was terrific. Helpful, attentive and charming. If she represents the staff as a whole this place only his the best. So next time I'm in town ... I'm going to try the pizza, it must be out of this world ... well unless I'm missing the best meatball paninni ever!

Service was Perfect! The Happy hr was Great! ...The Calimari was light, not Browned much. It was a New thing tryna dip the Squid in Marina sauce. Not for everyone. The Alc. Ws great. First time in! Came in for a pre-game anniversary dinner and the quality was GREAT! We had two happy hour appetizers and shared a pizza. Finished it off with some strawberries and cream Gelato! The service was a bit slow and some of our dishes weren't served hot. That's why I can't give more stars. I don't know that I will go back because of that, even with the good food and good happy hour.

I've been coming here for years and after having lived in Italy - it's the closest thing I've found to authentic Italian pizza. I order very often and have always been more than satisfied, but as of recently the food has just not been up to par. Today I ordered a bufala verace pizza (my favorite), and there was barely any cheese on it at all. Mind you, the original price for this pizza is $18 for a personal size. So when one pays that much, they expect a certain quality and it was nowhere near. The pizza was more like sauce bread. Incredibly disappointed.

Our food was delicious and the service was good. Happy hour begins at 3 on Sundays so we were a bit too early but the drink prices were pretty reasonable as it was. All pasta is made in house. The gelato is as well. The bread has a good crisp crust. The outdoor seating was good and when the sun was in my eyes they quickly lowered the shade for me. We were very pleased with everything and we will be back.

My Mom and I just had lunch at Pomo's on Monday our waitress Bianca was fantastic, her energy and table side manner were 5 star alone. We ordered a Pizza to share and it was hot and delicious. I have also been there with my team for appetizers at happy hour and it was great. I have a store at The shops at Gainey Village and recommend Pomo all the time to our guests. Did I mention that our waitress Bianca is also the bartender extraordinaire.

We ordered the bufalotta pizza at the recommendation from a local friend. BEST Italian style pizza I have ever had! They have a cute little bar that has open seating and a really nice selection of cocktails. 10/10 would recommend if you're in the area! We will be picking some up on our way out of town tomorrow!

Pomo Pizzeria offers a great variety of favorites including the best selling pizza. Everything here is made fresh when you order. I ordered in through DOOR DASH, during lunch, and still received my order in good time. I was disappointed that their lasagna was not available. However, when I went to their website, I saw they were out, called them, and exchanged the lasagna for tagliatelle bolognese. I have also ordered the eggplant parmesan. What can I say? The food was absolutely delicious. The tagliatelle was perfectly cooked had enough sauce on it, it had a flavor was beyond compare. Same for the eggplant parmesan. My eggplant had a tad too much oil, but I shan't complain. I didn't want to stop eating either. But I did, and will happily have several more meals. These both were like (good) homemade.

We came down to Phoenix to meet with our web designer Mark Mearin. We had mentioned that we were not sure where to go to dinner that night and he said, "Never fear, Mark is here" He then gave us directions and told us to meet him there that evening and that we would have the best meal ever. He was right! I ordered the eggplant parm which was perfect and we all shared a home made pizza as an appetizer. The service was excellent and the food was definitely authentic. Thanks to Mark Mearin we now have a new favorite spot when we come down to Phoenix from Sedona.

Ok, it had a 4.5!on TripAdvisor so we decided to stop for lunch. We had 5.0 service and 5.0 food. Homemade EVERYTHING made for a delightful lunch. Cocktails were also right on point with the white sangria perfect and the house Chianti red perfect with my thin crust. Off the beaten path, but worth the effort to find. One last thing, Josh is a great bartender/server that knows his stuff. Worth asking for!

Great ambiance - great food - great time. Started with some of the best calamari I've ever had along with their marinara sauce and their BlackBerry lemon drop. The food was good. I would recommend getting there late enough to catch the late night happy hour. Lot of good varieties of pizza... Ours was a bit over cooked on the bottom. I know it's brick oven pizza so I can appreciate a little char on the bottom.

Great local pizza restaurant! We came here for the Saturday buffet. The selection of pizza is unlimited, and included in the adult buffet is even one beer or wine. They had dessert pizza and soft-serve ice cream, and their service is beyond my expectations. We will come back and recommend the restaurant to my friends and family!

Cocktails were good but the food was extremely underwhelming and BATHED in an excessive amount of tomato sauce. Very little use of ingredients other than wheat, cheese, and tomatoes. Gnocchis were cooked poorly. The arriabata pasta had too much heat and the dish was dry overall. They needed to have more of a bite/caramelization to the outside. The atmosphere was cute.

The food was not worth the $80 paid. We ordered delivery with postmates and everything was pretty awful. The Margherita pizza had no mozzarella and the lasagna was over cooked, had little to no cheese, and the sauce tasted like it was canned. Would not want here again.

Also on the menu are vegan/gluten-friendly pizzas, bruschetta, paninis, and house-made pasta, and all of it is delicious. Recommended!

Went here trusting the reviews, but unfortunately was disappointed with their pizza. The appetizer was good and so was the gnocchi. The salad tasted old. You could tell it has been just sitting there for quite sometime. I don’t think I will go back. The tiramisu- However - ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! I would go back just for the tiramisu. It was the perfect sweetness and just mouth watering goodness.

Food was fine, we had a few things. I like the carpaccio, but the bruschetta was very plain/boring tasting and was simply toast with cut up cubes tomato and a basil leaf. Typically there will be viegrette or something else with flavor on the bruschetta, so I think they actually got that order wrong. We had two pizzas and the mushroom pasta that presumably won an award of some kind. I found the pasta very bland and not salty enough, so I was dumping Parmesan cheese and chili flakes on top to try to try and get some flavor. The pizzas were soggy/wet in the center as several other reviewers mentioned. The desserts we tried: tiramisu (pretty delish) and the panna cotta (fine). I will say that our server was lovely and quick. It was also cool to see them cooking the pizzas fresh in the big wood fired oven. Overall, I think this place is not worth the hype. With tip and wine, it was just under $200… not worth the value in my opinion.
