This is hands down one of mine and my husband's favorite restaurants EVER. We even drive from CA to eat here. 🤣 Everything is delicious and the serving sizes are extremely generous. (Don't worry, its all delicious the next day too!) It's a little pricey, but worth every dime. The ambience is perfect, dim lighting with candles, and not too loud. The bartender is great and personable. He didn't mind spending a couple minutes going over favorite dishes and the daily specials. He is super friendly with a very outgoing personality. It's a little hard to find if you've never been there but keep looking!! It's totally worth the hunt! We'll definitely be back again even though we live in SF Bay Area, CA!

Came in for my son's 17th birthday today. Waited for over 30 minutes before someone took our order. I was looking up another place to eat when he finally arrived. Service is very slow to nonexistent. Server didn't even fully clear our table. When it was time to pay the service was a lot faster. Food is OK but definitely not worth the wait or price point. Not a kid friendly place. No kids menu but if you split an entree they charge you a $10 fee. So, you pay the fee or order kids an adult meal. Restaurants is dark inside and very cramped.

First thing the entrance is hard to find there is no sign. So look for the wood parking in rear sign and go in the door below it. All the waiting staff was funny and energetic and amazing. This place has limited seating and is on the small side. Most of the food is cook over a wood grill so there is wood smoke in the air. They do a good job at venting it. But you will still smell like camp fire when you leave. I had the NY steak they were out of lobster so I Substituted bacon wrapped shrimp. The steak was perfect and had a cream sauce that was excellent. The shrimp was a little over cook. The side salad was good they only have ranch and mix it for you. My wife had the meat loaf and acorn squash and Brussels sprouts this dish is the reason we will be coming back. They put a little char on the vegetable. They do have a full bar and can make almost anything. Just nothing blended. The drink are not weak and reasonably priced. Over all we had a great experience and will be coming back.

Finally checked this Richards location out. Been to the other 2 and just as delicious (as it’s just the same food). Small. Recommend get there early or none busy hours. Killer happy hour and reverse happy hour. Brunch till 4 daily! Friendly service. Has that rustic dive bar feel. Large portions guaranteed to create food coma.

This was the best Italian food I've ever had in town! It provides fantastic consistency and flavor, as well as a traditional Italian atmosphere! This is a great place to go on a date or with friends and relatives. You guys truly make me happy and content! Thank you for being so kind to us! My family and I were very pleased!

Wow. A must visit. The menu is incredible, staff is amazing, friendly and knowledgeable. Food is absolutely exceptional. Grilled bacon wrapped shrimp on a tortilla with salsas, rice and beans. Main course: Carne Adovada - I hate pork and I loved, loved, loved this. Yes, this is the spot you should go to if you’re reading this.

The servers are really personable, and walk with a pep in their step. The Chipotle ribs are spicy but slightly sweet with a lot of umami. The beef in my stroganoff was char grilled a perfect medium rare and my pasta was Al dente, the sauce was a wonderful blend of stroganoff and Southwest fun! ... My wife's dish was a waste of $25 so minus one star. I also love how funny the menu is, this bar is just full of personality.

We had an unfortunate experience at Dick’s Hideaway tonight (2/23/2023). We arrived at approximately 8:15 PM and were seated after a 20 min wait. The waiter took our drink and appetizer order. Our drinks arrived quickly. After an excessive….EXCESSIVE WAIT….our appetizer arrived. We watched the kitchen prepare and serve at least 22 meals during this time. There was a large party. It’s understandable that the kitchen might get backed up, but not one person offered to refill drinks, take our order, or apologize for the wait times, or even acknowledge we had not yet placed an order for our entrees. Any acknowledgment that the staff was struggling, the kitchen was overwhelmed, a drink on the house, or any other service recovery attempt would have been appreciated. After most of the restaurant cleared out….at 9:49 pm a wait person placed our order. The patrons next to us who arrived after us were enjoying their entrees and finishing up their meals. We left at 10:45pm. This was a customer service disaster. We eat out 5 to 7 nights a week. We enjoy Dick’s Hideaway several times a month. The food is fantastic, but the service is PISS POOR when the regular manger is not present. We are going to pause on attending this favorite spot until they get the service challenges handled.

Definitely a great breakfast. If you are lucky Danni will be your waitress. The food had great flavor and cooked well. If you are deciding on a breakfast restaurant, quit looking. This is the spot. The food reminded me of a roadtrip I took in New Mexico. We got lost and ended up at some restaurant. They said Billy the Kid was killed there or something like that. The Chile Verde salsa had so much life .

This place feels like a secret. Every time we go we can somehow get a table and partake in some of our favorite foods. The fact that 3 places offer such great food in town is inspiring. We will be back time and time again. Tonight our favorite was turned on us from crab on our NY strip to scallops and we weren’t disappointed. We love all things Richardsons and it will continue to be the place we frequent and bring our out-of-town friends to to enjoy all things we love about our southwest food.

There's a reason why it's called the Hideaway. Super hard to find but well worth it. For a Wednesday it was full I can't imagine how full it would be if you could actually see a sign from the roadway. He had the rellenos and eggs while I had the Benedict and enchiladas. Probably one of the best breakfasts we've had ever. Glad we did not give up on finding it because this is now one of our go-to spots when we visit the kids and soon to be grandkid (literally any minute).

This really is an Awesome hole in the wall and it's name "hideaway" describes it well! We came with our adult kids that have been here before. The waitress was friendly and the drinks came fast and the food Hot! The margaritas were large and so good! Enjoyed the chicken quesadilla and the chips and queso dip! Also the New Mexico enchilada plate was huge and delicious!

Was told to wait up front for a table, as we were waiting another two top walked in and went to sit at the bar. Another bartender told them to go sit at the table we were politely waiting for. We told the server we had been waiting and she said oh okay well there is a shared table but that's it...no sorry let me work something out nothing. Asking for better communication between the staff as it pertains to seating the restaurant is all. Decided not to wait for another table, but it seemed like a good place to eat.

Great out of the way place. Great food and brunch is until 4pm. Nice drinks and a really chill atmosphere. Sit at the bar and you can see the cooks make your food from scratch right in front of you. Remember: no Kardashians or dudes in tank tops allowed. Also for safety the cooks all wear condoms. I appreciate safety from my eating establishments

After having read and heard many great reviews and comments about this restaurant, we had high expectations. These were indeed met. The food is excellent, probably the best we have ever had in this town. The chef said he has a nice repertoire of vegetarian dishes, and true enough, we were not disappointed! I will return to this restaurant for business meetings in the future.

Our group of 4 sat in raised area up several steps. Cozy yet spacious enough for several tables filled with diners. This area is has a more pronounced volume than the preferred wine room. The food is great. Perfectly spiced. Delicious. Portions are large. Be prepared. The wait staff is attentive, and knows their menu, how dishes are prepared and all ingredients. They never rush you and all courses come when you are ready. This is a must visit and return visits are in order.

I am wondering if I should say all the good things that I want to about this place, I would hate for them to get busier, especially if someone takes my seat. Simply put - Fantastic! Oh, and the bloody mary's are spicy and come with a beer back. Blam! I won't even start on the food, but it is amazeballs.

Best place for breakfast in Phoenix! New Mexican cuisine, great breakfast, lunch and dinner. The pork chili verde enchiladas and eggs are to die for! Get it with the green sauce, home potatoes, beans and tortillas. PS, it's a local favorite spot and there is not a sign on the building or door to know you are there. Look for the menu at the bottom of the door to know you have found it. Shhhh.... ;)

I wish the service was as good as the food. Waited over 30 minutes to not get served. Watched and waited as other white customers received their food when my company and I arrived first. Whiteness at its finest. Never again will I return. If you decide to dine, I hope your service is better than mine. I guess I have to be white.

I never been to the restaurants, had it delivered 4x and each time I'm never disappointed. They do not skimp on the amount of food very generous amount can feed 2 people or save for the next day. High quality food for a very good price and they always throw in extras which is a bonus so thank you for that. Trust you wont be dissapointed.

While this restaurant isn't easy to spot from the street it's well worth seeking out. We had no wait, but then again we did our homework and got there early for dinner. We started off with the Carne Adovado Sliders as an Appetizer. UNBELIEVABLY good is all I can say. I figured it was advertising as New Mexico style food so I would order the Chili Rellenos. It was not a disappointment. Hatch Chili's one filled with pork and cheese the other filled with smoked Turkey and cheese. Rice and beans for the sides. Of course I had the Christmas combination sauce because hey it's New Mexico food. For those that don't know Christmas is both red and green Chili sauce.

A tiny, dark, trendy bar that is hidden away like a gem. I would have overlooked the entrance to this place if not for my friend that took me. The food was excellent and no complaints on the service. Though it was quite expensive.

What a nice restaurant in the town! The most important element of your restaurant is its food. This is the reason why I adore this place. When I eat food prepared by the chef of this restaurant, it seems that I’m in Italy and eat their national food. I really love visiting this place. I will always be loyal to your service, guys. Keep up the nice work

A lil hard to find no sign, random strip mall...but let me tell you this place is awesome! The food is crazy good. It was approximately 10pm when we arrived and the service was beyond reproach. If you can find this place (call) you will be rewarded with a great time.

Amazingly good tasting too. And that was true of all the dishes. I could go on, but the menu changes every month. So, your experience (and my next one) here is likely to be different as far as food menu goes.

  • 3/5 Adrian M. 3 years ago on Google
We loved the staff and the atmosphere, but the breakfast we had was just ok. Both, my wife's and my plate were drowned in these tasteless pork beans. Our home potatoes were blan and burnt. I ordered the jalepeno eggs benedict the sauce was ok no salt no butter in it, also way too much added to the top of my plate. Both the hollandaise and pork bean mess just made everything soggy.

Staff works as one team so there is always someone to take care of you. The food is amazing! I started with a mimosa which had a good amount of champagne to OJ ratio. For the meals; Eggs Benedict with Tenderloin, Enchiladas & Eggs, and French Toast. Enchiladas & eggs were the best! I also tried the breakfast burrito. All the dishes are layered in flavor with a unique taste. I’ve been here 3 times and more visits to come. I personally wasn’t a fan of the deserts. Too much burnt sugar on the Crème brûlée and the flan was a bit tart. If I never had desert than this would be a five star review.

Yesterday was our first time at Shamshiri Grill after watching Lakshmi´s episode in Hulu´s Taste of Nation. We ordered the beef koobideh and the falafel wrap with shirazi salad. The authentic tastes and the freshness of the dishes were welcomed and embraced since I love Persian/Mediterranean food, and there is no eatery like this one in Orange County. Please go to this restaurant and order anything on the menu - you will NOT regret it!

We eat here all the time but today was disappointing. I had the Chilean seabass - asked for it grilled. It came out with a coating on it dripping in grease - I was expecting a light flakey fish with flavor. My friend had the gumbo. The dish was super heavy the pasta way too heavy and the sauce separated - way too much butter. The sauce was bland and flavorless. One last thing we sat at the end of the bar and the boss while we were eating, was cussing out the employees in the next room. Not what I want to hear while I’m trying to enjoy a meal after a long week of work.

If you have not been here, you have to visit at least once. Rustic Midwestern feel. Being from IL and having a beer back with my bloody mary made me homesick, nostalgia, haha. Food was amazing. Service is the best I've had in awhile. My lady loved it. Was our first time. Dark quaint, words can't describe the ambiance. Just go check it out.

This eatery serves very affordable cuisine! I took my cousin here about a week ago. I was overjoyed that he had a good time eating the food. We appreciated your personnel for their courteous and respectful treatment of us. The entire service received five stars! You come highly recommended from the rest of us!

Place was packed for a Saturday brunch, which is always a good sign. The southwestern-modern decor and small size of the place really gave the ambience of a speak-easy exactly as the name suggests. I ordered the Adovada Benedict and it was phenomenal. The meat was spicy and fork-tender, their hash browns alone are reason enough to try their brunch out, and the jalapeño hollondaise really knocked it out of the park. Service was prompt, courteous, and friendly. The food came quickly and piping hot with HUGE serving sizes, and the server was on top of the drunk refills. Definitely try this place out but be prepared to spend a little money! It is well worth it.

Neat little hidden secret joint. The prices are competitive and the servings are huge. You can easily share a meal and guaranteed no one will go hungry. Authentic New Mexican style dishes. If you're from NM, it's like a taste of home. Atmosphere was great and the clientele was enjoyable. Definitely plan to revisit.

Great spot! Was told about this place from a local foodie with him saying, "it's a vibe" and it truly is. It's a hidden spot with their menu on the wall and a small sign that says "Sorry, we're open!" at the foot of the door. Hard to find and so easy to miss. Liquor selection is awesome and if you like a bar with character, check this place out.

This place is literally a hideaway. It's got fun stickers everywhere. Service was great. We walked in and sat down quickly. We were given menus and ended up sharing a plate. Our friends recommended this place and said the portions are huge, so we decided on something we could share. Food was delicious, came quickly, and was served hot. There are specials on the wall and I didn't notice till we left so make sure to look for them. The place filled up quick so make sure to go early unless you don't mind sharing space with strangers.

First time here. Quaint Restaurant that has a bar vibe. Order my breakfast and got it quickly. Food tasted good...Worth the price...

My chili rellano was a bit overcooked and I couldn't really taste, or see, the pork and beef with which they were supposed to be stuffed, but they had a good flavor. Whole beans and rice were flavorful too. The atmosphere was the best part. Sitting at the bar we could have our drinks and watch the cooks, while we chatted. I also liked that there was no sign on, or above the outer door. This place really is hidden.

The atmosphere is great. Kinda dark and intimate. The food was hot, flavorful and huge. Our waiter was amazing. He took a moment to speak to us and answer all our questions about food and the PHX area. I had the Chimayo chicken and my mom had the chicken enchiladas. Both were great.

100 percent compliments to the chef, If you are in town and want to indulge in some seriously good food this is the place. This is the definition of flavor town.. We had friends from out of state come out and every dish we tried was outstanding. The steak sauce was absolutely amazing. The green chili burger was outstanding. The service was great! We were checked on frequently, the little hideaway is not a joke. Its hard to find if your not looking. I will recommend this to a multitude of people hands down

There is no sign out front, just trust the process and walk through the hedges. Warm with a wood burning fire and cooled by the AC. Contradictory and not the only time! Humorous, irreverent, classy, fun, dive bar like vibes. Employees are warmly welcoming and prompt, Traditional breakfast joint mixed with Mexican food, featuring a very unique menu. I got the Richardson's Combo with Jalapeño Eggs Benedict and Chicken Enchiladas. Deliciously wickedly wonderful! Loved it❤️

I had the enchilada plate that comes with three choices of the type of enchiladas you want. I had shrimp, smoked turkey and I forget the third choice, but the enchiladas were all quite tasty along with the sides. The portions were very generous. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The establishment is a bit on the dark side when it comes to lighting and the signage in front leaves a little to be desired in terms of finding the place from the street. All in all it’s well worth your time to stop in for a good southwest style meal.

Nice place. Decent food. It was a small place, not a lot of room if you have a large party of friends. But the service makes up for it. Service was excellent.

Absolute gem this place!! We’re in Phoenix for two nights and we’re going back for dinner tonight as we’re still dreaming of last night’s feast. Highly recommend it - don’t miss out on this one when you’re in Phoenix. My steak was beautiful, even if a little too we’ll done for my taste. They have a fantastic wine and drinks list. 10/10

This place is truly hidden. Hard to find, but when you do, you will enjoy yourself inside. A little on the small side, but the name hideout so ya!! Food definitely exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend this place!!! Oh and we were the last plates of food made so if the last meal served is that good, I can't thank the kitchen enough!

Visited for lunch. Very intimate and dark. We ordered the skewer combo, roasted garlic plate, and Richardson's combo. Food was good portioned. Everything was delicious. It was happy hour, so my son ordered a house margarita for $8. It was good. It's a bit pricey, for both lunch and dinner, so plan accordingly. We would visit again.

The food was amazing. What a little gem for some region authentic cuisine. Went with the family and was not disappointed in the least bit. I would recommend to everyone. Be ready to eat some very good portions.

Small, fun and somewhat hidden bar serving big cocktails, a broad food menu and all the beer you need. My Stroganoff was spiced up and had beans in addition to the mushroom. The beef was pre-grilled, soft and delicious. I added a GCP just because. Huge portions served with humor.
