Could've easily been a 4 star visit but our server/bartender lacked any personality. After one sip of the lemonade which wasn't sweet at all but extremely tart, we asked to switch with a coke. She charged us for the lemonade which is only a dollar more, but it was the principle of paying for something that wasn't consumable. She also looked upset that I was requested the coke. I drink beer, my daughter thought the lemonade would be refreshing but it was nasty..that lemonade needs a bunch of sugar. I simply reduced the tip by the difference, this lady want approachable. If there was a cordial and inviting personality working there, I would've just asked for a correction. The Chicken in the Caesar salad wasn't great but my cottage pie was amazing. Smiles go a long way. This was the first time at the downtown location, all other experiences in Scottsdale and Tempe have been 5 stars. This lady was so disinterested, we felt like we were a bother. I definitely won't be returning during the day when this lady is working. Maybe she was having a bad day but we don't need to be made to feel that we're the cause of it by coming in.

This place is a GEM, definitely a 5 star for a Bar with Food in downtown Phoenix. Kelsey was our server which she did a great job walking us through the menu. I recommend the Peppered Jack for a meal as it was one of the most popular although you can't go wrong with anything you order. The Pot Pie and Pilgrim are also very good. They had vegan options as well to choose from on the menu. I had the cocktail drink called Rosemary's Baby, please get this drink ladies, it's a good one.

Ok this place is a must 🙌, very unique, there is little bit of everything but most importantly, these people care, about your experience, the quality of what they put out on the table for what you pay. Just awesome!. Thank you. 4 stars because: I know it's a rustic ambiance but I would just recommend cleaning the tables and benches better. We were the first in the restaurant when they opened and I had to clean our table and bench from left over food stuck on them.

I was pretty stoked to find this place randomly.. I've eaten here but in tempe. So I sit at the bar as usual and bartender is not a keeper as someone I'm willing to tip. I was the only person at the bar and she was pretty absent in "serving" me. 1. (Not her problem) they didn't have what I ordered. 2. Music was loud we couldn't hear each other but you could feel the tension, she either shouldn't have worked tonight or she shouldn't be working here. Other servers took my order and or answered my questions. She pretty much took up space behind the bar in my opinion. The food was good, it deserved a 4 star but service brought it down. Don't come here at night for a good time.

Don’t come here when you’re in a rush because at least half the time the service will be turtle-speed. With that said I really love this place lol. Amazing atmosphere and location. Great food. Large drink selection. Wonderful dart board playing vibes. Overall very trendy and hip if you’re into that kind of scene. (But you won’t feel out of place if you’re not!!)

Love this location in downtown Phoenix! The food is fantastic. Love that there are so many vegetarian/vegan options. The service is always quick but they don't bug you to eat and go so you can take your time. They have a pool table and darts too (2nd floor) and such great views of downtown.

My boyfriend's pasty was good. My bacon wrapped meatballs not so much. The meatballs themselves were good but the bacon was inedible. We didn't even bother sending them back because service was slow. My soup was served cold and it took awhile for it to be reheated and brought back.

Great place for a late night snack and drink. We came into town for the weekend and we’re hungry after our late flight. We thought about hitting fast food, but I wanted something local. Stopped by here and I was very pleasantly surprised. Since there are so many flavors of pasties on the menu, I did not think I would receive the quality of food that I did. It was delicious, just simply delicious. I wanted to eat the whole thing, but couldn’t. The pastry has a great flavor as well. It was an all around great experience. I also loved the drinks. My only criticism would be the lack of a big rock in the old fashioned, but it was still a tasty drink. Absolutely would visit again!

The best British food I tried in the US. The mushroom soup is great, distinctively British, their scotch eggs have a crunchy crust and a wonderful sage aroma, their pasty (kind of a calzone, I took the Indian flavor because the British adore Indian food made their way) has a wonderful light but crunchy pastry, very flavorful filling with just enough spices. Beats the Lion & Rose by a country mile. Sorry about the pics smelled so good that I dug in before thinking of taking pictures.

1st time at this location. By far my favorite location thus far. Had the Lamb Vindaloo. Actually spicy with a great burn. Great service, great food, and did I mention great service! We sat at the bar and our bartender Amanda was absolutely amazing! In terms or no thanks very much for an enjoyable meal and great service!

Being Irish and raised on the atmosphere of European pubs and food. I must say I was teleported back in time. The food was delicious. And made the right way. Not dry. Not over cooked. Not out of some box. NO. This was serious UK food. The cider selection was excellent as well. God bless the owners. And his mom's recipes. From the chief of clan Bailey Ireland. I felt at home here.

If you have never been here before, then you should stop trying to think of where or what to eat and JUST GO! This is a place that you need to try at least once before making any sort of judgment, because I promise, you will not regret it. There is SO MANY different pastries to choose from and something for everyone. If you don't feel like getting a pastry, there is a bunch of extremely good salads and a la carte plates as well. Do not be fooled, these pastries are huge and they will satisfy any appetite. The photos don't do them justice at all. They truly are filling and actually pretty heavy. The vibe in the restaurant is very laid back and chill. Extremely dim lit. Almost too dim actually to be completely honest. My only complaint would be that the prices are a tiny bit higher than they should be... That's literally all I got lol

Cornish Pasty Co is a wonderful place to get some great food and atmosphere, my girlfriend and I went early in the day so we didn't fully experience the place at it's best but that didn't stop the food from being amazing, we got Bangers and mash and Guiness Stew pasties with a Scotch egg then split a chocolate bread pudding. Everything was delicious and our server was super helpful. Would love to come back and eat there again!

Such a cool spot for drinks, food and fun atmosphere. They have 3 levels with dedicated bar. Top level is much more lively. Pool tables and tons of sitting area. Mid level is pretty busy with folks walking around. The bottom level is The Lounge with beautiful, romantic lighting and booths. Such a nice place for a date. The food was yummy! I had the meatball pasty. So good! Thank you Jimmy for taking such good care of me and allowing me to explore this really neat bar! See you next time!

Really cool upstairs bar w darts, pool tables, and a lot of bar seating. The loaded fries were delicious and the chocolate cake is a stand out - I'd come back just for that. A lot of pasty options and they're unique and you will definitely be full.

I walked in at 1230 on a Friday afternoon, first time there, and it was not readily apparent where to go....there are three levels...street level (kitchen and a few booths), downstairs (opens at 5 or 6 pm) and upstairs (which is apparently where the lunch crowd is served). Great beers on tap (I had the Belgian Triple), and the "PASTIES" ARE AMAZING! If you haven't been, you must go...truly great beer and even better vibe!

I finally understand what all the hub-bub was about this place! The atmosphere was nice, I loved the lighting- it gave a very tavern vibe. The bathroom was really cool looking (took some pictures) but it was a little dirty and didn't flush, but I am sure it was not a normal occurrence. Now onto the important bit, THE FOOD! The food was DELICIOUS, the pastry outside was nice and crispy but not burnt, and the inside tasted fresh and perfectly cooked! I really need to go back soon!

Wings were absolutely delicious. Nice central location. Hard to find parking. Barely any outside seating in the front, only about 4 or 5 tiny tiny tables. Bar tender was running all tables and we barely got any service although she was very nice. Not even 1 drink refill. And being that the prices are very high for the simplicity and portion sizes, not a place I'd come back to. Nothing awful by any means, glad I visited. But many other great choices.

First time I've been out since the pandemic and so glad to see this place open and obeying distancing and masks mandates. I had the breakfast pasty (one of my personal favorites) and as always it was delicious and cooked to perfection. I'll continue to come here and their other locations and support them during these difficult times.

Beautiful location. It's in the heart of down town Phoenix. The environment is so relaxing and the staff is amazing. Elizabeth is an incredible server, she knew the menu and had answers to our questions. The food was good. It's not expensive at all.

First time to Cornish Pasty Co and it was good. Took my boys here and they really liked it too! Food was different but good. Service took a little bit but not too bad. Looks more like a pub inside not really a restaurant. Good stuff!

So, I was a little skeptical at first. But was willing to give it a try! I’m really happy that I did. The food was very tasty and fresh. I will say the service was a little slow, however. Granted they were busy, but it seemed to take a while. I tried the turkey and stuffing pasty and then I even had dessert. A chocolate bread pudding. Would definitely check it out again next time I’m in Phoenix

First time visiting the restaurant, been wanting to try it as I heard good things. Beet salad was fantastic, split it with my wife. See pic. Next we shared the Parliament wings, these were also fantastic, great dipping sauce! Finally the pasties; nice and hot but true to English style, bland. Next time I'll avoid the Guinness pastie and try to choose something with more kick , as well as more sauce.

They are back and so am I!! Great place to feel social after too much time at home. Big place so I felt safe and spaced out. I see they limited the menu, i'm sure they had to just to get opened again...they still have my favorite Chicken Tikka Pasty and it was as good as I remembered. I just saw the last review about bringing in Subway? Duh?! They are a restaurant with great food. You can't bring food in and why would you want to?

  • 4/5 Rachel M. 3 years ago on Google
The food was really food and service was excellent. My only complaint is some areas are not well lit and it's hard to read the menu. Also, they tend to be out of a lot of items, so be prepared with a backup option or 2 when ordering.

Picked up an Uber order that I have to pay for an order, sat there 20 to 25 minutes waiting for the food to be cooked. Thought that was a little bit ridiculous even though she did tell me it would be 15 to 20 minutes and they did not have what the customer originally wanted.

This visit was pretty awful. The waitress was nice and all but I ordered the chicken potpie pasty to go, it was unbearably salty. Very overwhelming, I was only able to take two bites (thought maybe it was just the part, nope). Wish I would have tried it at the restaurant so I could have let the staff know. Service is great but my pasty is inedible.

Definitely the coolest location in terms of architecture for a Cornish Pasty, multi story and very cool looking vintage decor. Just as good pasties as all the other locations! If you are downtown definitely check this place out. There's pool too if you... You know, like pool...

  • 5/5 chris s. 4 years ago on Google
Fun place. The food was good and no domestics. There are 3 floors with a pool table and darts upstairs. I had the cottage pie, a friend had the fish and chips which looked amazing (her said it was tasty) and another had some awesome looking crab cakes. Three fish fillet was a good size piece of fish too that was lightly coated in beer batter. It was just an amazing little neighborhood pub, but nothing fancy. I'd definitely eat there again. It had tables by the windows above a store on one side and a small outdoor patio. There was a nice size bar upstairs, a bigger bar and tables on the ground floor, and a lounge in the basement that I did not go to. Nothing fancy, just a neighborhood pub, but the staff was friendly and attentive. But, as I said earlier; the food was superb.

We always love Cornish Pasty. Typically a good selection of vegan through meaty pasty options, some good sides, wide drink selection. It’s carb heavy food but that is the nature of it. Never had a notable service issue at any of the locations. Always tasty food.

  • 4/5 Jeremy B. 3 years ago on Google
Awesome environment and great food. Only suggestion is that the bartenders should know their whiskeys better. She didn't really have any helpful suggestions based off flavors and other whiskeys I enjoy.

  • 4/5 Wes H. 3 years ago on Google
Good atmosphere with an industrial look and feel. Plus the seating space was ever expanding from downstairs near the bar to the loft area. Downstairs you sit in small church pews which if you're more than a 34" waist will be difficult to get in without moving the table :) The food is unique, for sure a British menu when it comes to the Pasty, but also interesting starters and salads that sometimes take on Indian ingredients. Service was good, attentive, friendly, and if you care - strick with the mask wearing. Prices were average for the area, albeit on the more expensive side.

I had my birthday lunch here with a small amount of family and friends. Ian's service was amazing! He was super patient with all of us even when we were all over the place and ran him around too much. He was kind and gracious. The food and drinks were delicious and fast. Thank you guys for making my birthday in 2020 amazing. Definitely the highlight to a rough year.

Love this place. A great variety of pasties and beers, with vegetarian options as well. Just know that there are no substitutions on any of the pasties. Not that you'd ever want to. Try the Reuben Pasty, it's a personal favorite.

Our waiter was extremely neglectful so we seated ourselves at the bar. At this point we had ordered a round of shots for the three of us. After seating ourselves we order another round of shots and ultimately decided to go for our last round so we could continue with our evening plans. The waiter refused to serve us. We were respectful, just quietly chatting among ourselves. It’s hard to believe that this was not racially motivated. The waiter said she would serve us if we ordered because “ they are trying to run a business here”. The assumptions here speak for themselves. The experience was horrible and I would not recommend this establishments to any person of color. We tried being reasonable but her tone was extremely disrespectful and it obvious that her coworkers were supportive of this behavior.

It was my friends 21st bday, so she had her vertical ID, the server told us she couldnt take her card. I was asking her why out of curiosity and she cuts me off and says shes not going to argue with me. I work in customer service so I spoke to her the way I want to be spoken to (politely). There are professional ways to do things and that is not it. Dont get me started on the new owner, thats probably where the employees get there bad attitudes from..

The people in this area are so nice! My fiance and I sat the bar where Shawn the bartender was very accommodating and knowledgable of the menu. He was one of the best bartenders we've came across, and we don't drink! We had a Run Wild non alcoholic IPA. We started out with a spinach feta pasty followed by a scotch egg then Shawn reccomended the vegetarian Ogie pasty and I had the portabello chicken pasty.

Staff is chill and helpful when ordering. Super unique food and the atmosphere is really awesome. Sat upstairs in the booths/pews area. We got the Italian (basically a calzone) which had a TON of meat and the carne adovada (think burrito vibes) both were amazing! We definitely could have split just one order. As a California native I can say it was definitely authentic but also unique. Pro tip: Get ranch! It’s legit so good (and homemade?)

This is always been a favorite. This is my first time in the downtown phx location. I love the old English pub vibe. Menu is amazing. If you never had one, just picture a calzone but better. Lol. Everything is fresh and often limited. My personal favorite is the Tika Masala. This is the perfect spot to bring your vegetarian and vegan friends.

Had a nice old fashioned cocktail before ordering a lunch outdoors on the table. I had the Oggie, "the traditional pasty", which is filled with steak, onions, potato and rutabaga. The pasty was tasty (guess I'm a poet and don't know it). The outdoor seating was pleasant on a day like today 70⁰.

A great place full of hipsters, good pastries like the Reuben and the Guinness Stew, and good beer! Good atmosphere and fast service. Another good British pub!

Super chill spot for drinks and dinner. 🍷 ♥️ Came here on a Saturday night to eat and was pleasantly surprised. I have been to the location in Tempe but I only drank there, didn’t order any food. Sad I slept on this restaurant, it’s great! We ordered a bottle of wine for the table and I had the Rosemary’s Baby as a night cap at the end of the meal, which was super tasty. I ordered the scotch egg Cobb salad and was super happy with my meal. It was filling and fresh. I love scotch eggs so I had to grab that salad. My friends each had pasty’s which looked good so I will have to grab one next time. I definitely plan on adding these restaurants to my “go-to” list.

This place is amazing! I highly recommend! We went in on a Saturday evening and it wasn't too crowded. We went downstairs but it was too quiet for us so we decided to go upstairs and found a table. There are a couple pool tables upstairs. The food is AMAZING and the price was great for what we got. All the waitstaff we talked to were very friendly.

They absolutely deserve every single 5 star they got in reviews, I rarely leave reviews but after I ate at this place!! They had some of the best tasting food I had in a while for super cheap. The staff was incredibly nice, helpful and genuine people. If only they had one of these back in Georgia lol

Definitely one of the best tasting and freshest pasties I’ve tried, probably better than what you get in England too. The crust was so so good and the inside just bursting with flavor. Would highly recommend if you’re hungry or thirsty in the Phoenix downtown area! A real gem!!!

A nice dining place with a great ambience. You should try the upstairs dining area, by a window. They light small candles in each table, creating a candle light dinner atmosphere. Food and drinks were great, and soup was yummy. If you are in downtown Phoenix, it’s worth trying the Pasty.

It was fine. I’d heard good things about it, but it wasn’t anything to write home about. The service was good. The food was ok. I asked for a recommendation and ordered what my server told me to get (the French Dip). It tasted like a French Dip sandwich, but there wasn’t much pastry surrounding it. So, the whole “pasty” part of the restaurant (name) needs work. My friends ordered different options and they too didn’t get much breading. Kind of disappointing.

Great spot for British pub food in the heart of downtown Phoenix. This place has excellent pasties, scotch eggs, and other items. They have a good drink selection as well. It’s dark and moody, just like a good pub should be. The service is good and a little rough around the edges. The food came out quick and was fairly priced. They have indoor and outdoor seating, a bar, and upstairs seating. The scotch egg was my favorite part. They have a fun variety of pasties including some really unique ones.

This has an English pub vibe, which I really enjoyed. Everyone was friendly there, and the food was delicious. One thing to be aware of, they have their menus on QR codes, but when you scan it, it prompts you like you're ordering from the online menu and has buttons to do so, but then those buttons don't actually do anything.

I absolutely loved my experience at the Cornish Pasty Co. We got there right as it opened and the atmosphere was perfect. I ordered half the garden salad and the portion was far larger than I anticipated and spectacular for the price. I will definitely be back!

The food was purdi good. I never had any this type of food. What I had was the " Royale with cheese" is basically a cheeseburger empañada. It was good safe choice not great however the "southwest " that I tried was really good!! Get ranch though. Common price $17. Thanks D.J.€

A tradition speak easy style pub, with amazing pastries. Really great atmosphere here. Upstairs seems like an old speak easy, very dark atmosphere with soft lights. The restaurant smells of freshly cooked spices and flavors used in their delicious pastries. Free darts and pool while dining and drinking, which is just unheard of anymore. The portions are generous and the flavors are delicious. Lots of variety in the beer selection. We had the spicy chicken and peppered steak pastries and both were awesome! Highly recommend checking out this spot if you are downtown.

We sort of all stopped in the front when walking around downtown Phoenix trying to decide where to have dinner. It is a typical English pub setting but carrying a cool vibe in the front. Couple guys were just leaving and highly recommended us this place. They suggested us to go upstairs and told us “this is it…the place you want to be”. It was quite dark but intimate for small groups on each table upstairs. Quite some IPA options for us to go for and pasties were delicious! I ordered Guava IPA as I never had one and I enjoyed it even it tasted more like cider. However Guinness Beef Stew pasty was a home run. Everyone loved it and I instantly regretted not having one to go after we stepped out of the restaurant.

Very nice place to hang out and grab a drink. Had a classic pasty with a beer, and I enjoyed it very much. It was my first time having a pasty, so I have nothing to compare it with. It was good to me. There was a special wine based gravy that it came with. That was good too.

I went on a lunch break to try something different with a coworker. Gene the waitress had to be called over, and was asking me if she can put drinks down first. A Twenty minute wait to prepare food, took thirty plus minutes. I appreciated the food but don't have all night for people to prepared food. Food was good but, price and time lost uhhh about even.😁
