An experience! Staff work so well together and aren't afraid to recommend a good drink. Flatuas were the bomb! Get the Jamaican Margarita!

Good food and service. We sat on the patio, ordered a drink, an appetizer, and two dishes. All food were good. It was a lovely evening to sit on the sidewalk, eating and observing the street and traffic. The burrito was big and taste good. The taco was mini, small r than I though, but they came in 5 tacos. They taste very good. The fish was crispy and the sauce was yummy. I got rice and bean on the side. They were good too. Margarita drink was lovely.

I had one of the best solo lunch experiences here at Céntrico 🤎 I was really craving pozole as I used to have either pozole or menudo every weekend with my dad growing up before he moved back to mexico. I’m so glad I chose Céntrico as my place to satisfy that craving. The menudo was SUPER flavorful. The meat tasted like actual meat and was very fresh and well seasoned. Nothing was overly spicy and I ate every last bit. I ended up asking for a side of corn tortillas and the waiter brought them out fresh as they are made to order. I also had a michelada with it, though in hindsight I would have just had the dos x by itself. The miche was great, but not what I was actually craving. I think I just wanted the beer 😅. The service was great as well. Kind staff. They didn’t look at me odd and were very sweet and accommodating. I ate outside as I was wanting to read and just take time to decompress and it was a shaded front area without any bugs or crazy distractions. I loved it. Every minute of it.

In the city for a visit and was looking for a place to go to dinner. WOW -- this was amazing. I wish I could go again before leaving. Our waitress, Bailey, was super friendly and made great recommendations. Drinks (sandria margarita - pictured one on the rocks and one frozen) were great, salsa (pictured) has a nice kick to it, and the birria enchiladas (pictured) were AMAZING! Do yourself a favor and try it out!

As a google guide I rarely give 5 stars. This place is amazing. From fresh margaritas to all food from scratch. Prices are too low. Get here quick.... they also have outdoor seating.

Had an amazing time here with good food and great drunks for brunch with my girls. The Shrimp Empanada was amazing...a little spicy but good! The drinks were fresh with a natural sweetness. I had the Jamaica Margarita and Sandia Margarita...both were really good. And the churros were fresh and hot. Our waiter was awesome...all staff had on masks and patrons were sat a good distance apart...even for the outside seating. I will surely come back to try the dinner menu soon. The owner was also friendly and provided a great safe atmosphere for me and my fellow Mrs. to catch up and have good conversation, food, and drinks.

If you're looking for authentic Mexican food this is the place to go. Great location from majority of hotels downtown. Drinks aren't water-down. Just a great taste. Recommend this restaurant 👌🏿

Centrico has the most delicious traditional + modern Mexican food I’ve really ever eaten. I would highly recommend stopping in for their Tacos Vegetal, it seems highly over looked yet it is outstanding tasty. The taco ingredients offered a variety of textures and flavors, and I would absolutely get it again. On top of it all, the margarita I ordered was equally as good as the food. Thanks Centrico!

A staff member named Phil helped us out and he was a true delight. We were well taken care of and a bonus they have 3 televisions all featuring the Suns game. Get something with Mezcal in it, you'll be thankful.

Located in a historic hotel the restaurant is quaint and non pretentious. Husband and I elected to dine outside. Our server Shelby was an absolute delete and we had a great dialogue. I tried a margarita with mescal and it was intriguing. Husband had a negra modella beer and enjoyed it very much. I enjoyed the barria enchilada and husband had the chile verde dish. Both were full of flavor and great spices. Price point was good. A great dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere.

Lone lunch time visit to this 5 year old business. As the first customer of the day, I ordered chips, salsa, guacamole and the chicken enchiladas. The well sated chips are amazingly thin, but hold up to the guacomole dipping. Guacamole is very fresh with large chuncks of fresh avocado. The salsa is also fresh, not too hot or mild, just perfect today to my liking. The chicken enchiladas are outstanding. The only improvement was to add some of fresh guacamole to what the kitchen brought out. I listened to customers come in after me and heard the following from fellow diners, "Dinner was so good last night we came back for lunch today." & "we always come here when we are in town." Service paid attention to details and kept checking to see if I needed anything else.

This came recommended from one of the workers who are like a "City of Phoenix guides" they where orange shirts and point people places. We has the chicken enchiladas and the Carne asada burritos and both were great! The price point (for downtown Phoenix) feels good at less then 50.00$ for two people. The guacamole might legitimately be the best I've ever had. The staff were super positive and helpful. All and all I'd call this a can't miss location in the downtown Phoenix area.

This is a small restaurant with limited seating. The employees are very friendly. The menu is small but the food is fresh and very good. I had fish tacos that were just the right amount of spice. My wife had a double cheeseburger that was juicy and cooked perfectly.

The food was of high quality. Authentic Mexican food here. The music, the atmosphere was excellent. Oh! I will do the waitress injustice by not talking about the special drinks she'd made. It hit the spot every time. The place was very clean. Prices, very reasonable. This is the place to visit.

This gem in downtown Phoenix is the perfect place for your brunch/lunch! Location is very central and right in front of the light rail track. It’s a laid back environment. A place you can go for a chill date, meet up with family/friends - it is a smaller place and didn’t really look large enough for parties of 5+. The queso is a MUST! The tortillas were fresh, homemade, and had those char marks that made it oh so good. The queso itself has the mile-long cheese pull you only dream about. The chorizo burrito was also good! It was very oily/greasy and leaked the red juices over the tortilla, but that’s what you get when you order chorizo. The service was also great! Joe took care of me and checked in often! He was approachable, friendly, and gave great recommendations.

Centrico was very good. The guacamole is hand mixed by your server at the table to your liking. You can have it any way between very chunky and very fine. It tasted very fresh and had a nice kick to it as well. The fish tacos were also very tasty. The fish was light and the flavor mix was well balanced. Service was a bit slow but not dealbreaking. I would definitely recommend visiting if in Phoenix.

Absolutely loved this restaurant! Portions are perfect. Not too much or to little. And the flavors are very authentic. I highly reccomend the coffee! So smooth, not bitter aftertaste at all!! I'm not one to drink coffee black but I could definitely have done that with this one!

I am addicted to everything I've tried off the menu so far and plan to complete my reserch...for science 😏. Absolutely would recomend, the staff is amazing and the food reflects the care they take to insure a pleasurable expierence. The fish tacos are my new favorite, the burger (Christmas that burger) will MAKE you return. Also I got the guac and chips last night, somehow the wizards in the kitchen made guacamole that tasted even better the next day and wasn't brown in the least.

  • 5/5 Nathan T. 3 years ago on Google
This place is incredible. The ingredients are so well thought out, and you can tell how passionate they are about it. The owner is extremely nice, and he makes you feel more like he's welcoming you into his home than his resteraunt. The mezcal selection is through the roof, the servers and bartenders are genuinely wonderful to be around. And the veggie tacos are 100% vegan, so bring your veggie friends along too!

I’ve only been here once: my first time there was just last week I thought the chips and salsa were great. My margarita wasn’t the best but maybe I had the wrong kind. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will have to try again and update.

My friend and I had lunch here in February when we visited for a conference. This lunch was in my top 3 BEST authentic Mexican food experiences ever. The service was great as well. I could tell from the moment we walked in that it was going to be great. Friendly servers and happy, smiling customers. We had the Queso Fundido with chorizo. Amazing! We also had shrimp tacos and chicken tacos and finished with a churro. I've never had churros stuffed with caramel. Yummy! Definitely stop here if you can!

It is a great place to have breakfast, brunch, lunch and dinner. We arrived half an hour before closing time, and we were served with an smile and had friendly conversation with David(the waiter), who gave us good tips of where to find wine for a gift and flowers also for a gift. The food was excellent, we had brunch two days in a row there besides dinner. Good , authentic mexican food, good prices, friendly service. It was a treat!

This restaurant is awesome. It is a small place but that is the thing small about it. The staff are the nicest people . They are warm and friendly. The food is all homemade . Even the tortillas are made from scratch which is a lost art. They make the guacamole at your table fresh right in front of you. They have a full bar. This is a real gem . Prices are very reasonable .

  • 5/5 Mohammad A. 4 years ago on Google
They have the best carne asada burrito. The price $12 was very good for a big burrito. It is a little bit fatty but I loved that. The chips are great and the salsa is also tasty. The service at lunch time was awesome. The outside patio in a beautiful march weather is worth the 5 stars.

Oohh!!!! Great food and service!! Location and views are amazing. Next time I want to try the patio to people watch, but we were near the window so it was still great. We tried the guacamole (had a good kick), queso fundido (mmm) and flautas with potato filling (yumm).. Would I get all 3 again? Yes! I had the fish tacos and they were awesome and so was the rice. We also had chicken enchiladas and chicken tinga tacos.. everyone gave it a thumbs up. Watermelon margarita was tasty too.. and dont forget the churros. They are good but you have to give them time to cool down. There is a Carmel center and it is hot. We will definitely be back.

We stopped in for a bite to eat before going to a local theater. We had the shrimp tacos, fish tacos and a salad. Everything was delicious. I was especially impressed with the amount of different things like the sauce, veggies and seasoning that came with a $2.50 per taco order. But the food was fresh and the fish was well prepared. The service was good. This probably helped because it was a little slow, but we are not complaining.

The fresh made-to-order guacamole was ???. Also had tacos de gobernador and shrimp empanadas which were all definitely worth trying again. If you have room for dessert, you have to try the only dessert on the menu and order the stuffed churros! It was so good that we had to place two orders.

Don't pass this experience by! I was in Phoenix for business, staying at Hotel San Carlos, arrived in the evening and chose Centrico because of its proximity. Lesson learned, if you're arriving after 630 the waitlist can be at least 1 hour so, get on the list early. They use a wonderful online system where you can track your place in line, and you'll receive a text when your table is ready. I got on the list and hung out in my room until my seat was ready. I sat at the bar which gives a front row view of the waitstaff and kitchen window and I was seriously impressed with the level of intention and attention to detail by everyone from the hostess, waiters, bar tender, and the bus boy. The service was beyond expectation. I ordered the Chile Verde (with dietary restrictions) without issue. It was my far THE BEST Chili Verde I have ever eaten! From beginning to end this was a wonderful experience, if you have the opportunity to eat here, don't pass it up!

Wow, this place was amazing. I was referred by a local who told me this is one of the best good spots in the downtown area. I ordered the chicken tinga tacos and the meat was perfection. A little messy but for food that good I don't care. I also had the guacamole which is made tableside and so delicious. The owner stopped by every table and checked on the guests.

My wife & I have been here twice - once for breakfast & once for dinner. Both times were excellent. This is a VERY small place so I recommend reservations. Looks like they're on the YELP virtual waitlist app now so check if they still take reservations. For breakfast we started with the queso fundido with chorizo. Entrees were the chorizo burrito, El Mexicano (eggs, papas, beans) & a side of hotcakes. Add in a few watermelon margaritas and we were good to go! On our dinner visit (two weeks later - as we couldn't wait to go back!) we had the chips & guac, shrimp empanada, chicken enchiladas, fish tacos and of course........more margaritas! The owner, Edson, and the rest of the staff were great. Looking forward to our next visit soon!

We got takeout last night and it was the most horrible experience ever, after eating their food. The guacamole must have been 1/4 avocado and 3/4 jalapeño mixed with sriracha sauce. No warning on the menu. Halfway through the meal I was in such pain I thought I needed to go to Urgent Care. This morning I woke up early with the worst cramps and diarrhea I've ever had. My husband also got sick from something else. He, had chills and vomiting. This place should be reported to the health department.

They have a great selection with their massive menu, though the food isn't anything spectacular. Not good, not bad, just decent. The massive selection on their menu might be worth a four star review if it wasn't for the fact that they have enormous lines throughout the day.

Though the restaurant was full inside, the manager accommodated our large group with outdoor seating. We went on a very hot day but the patio had shades which made the heat bearable. Service was good. The location is in a beautiful hotel building. They have a large selection of tequila and other alcohol. The food was great, though my Birria was a bit more dry than I’m used to. The favorite of the group was the chilaquiles. Overall, a great experience.

It was braunch for me during my visit in phoenix downtown. I found the place is small, but food is good. They do have a small bar. A lot of place on the ouside cum patio. The food was not the the best, but it was okay. I enjoyed the food. On the price side, i found it was not very expensive, so you get good value of money you spend.

Best chicken club sandwich I’ve had in a long time! This place has got to expand so they can be able to have more customers. Ordered chips and salsa, I’m not a big salsa fan but this was really good, plenty of crispy chips, portions are a good amount from the sides to the main dish. I’d definitely come back to try other menu items Owner even took the time to come on over and introduce himself and thank us for visiting his restaurant. Very friendly and engaging staff

Great Mexican/cocktail stop. I had the pozole, and it was really good. Had made margaritas with a really good selection of tequilas are available. The staff was super friendly and very engaging. Great, small spot in downtown Phoenix.

Delicious dinner and for a good price! The tortillas were some of the best I've ever had. I also loved the flavors and tenderness of the pork in my Chile Verde. Service was very attentive.

Stopped here for lunch and really enjoyed it. Got the San Carlos burrito and the chicken enchiladas. The restaurant is really unique for being in an historic hotel. Service was great although you have to pay for chips and salsa for the table so it’s a bit more expensive than other Mexican restaurants.

Fabulous authentic Mexican food! The chilaquiles with over easy egg and carnitas was incredible. Good service, nice bar. The place is small with not a lot of seating so if you're there for brunch, I recommend being there as soon as they open at 10:00.

Queso fundido was DELICIOUS! Definitely would go back to try again. Enchiladas were good as well as the tacos, expected a little more but they were fine. Very small place!

My Favorite restaurant in Phoenix! Amazing food! Carna Asada Taco’s and their Chicken Enchiladas are my favorite and if you get a chance they have fresh pressed Watermelon Margaritas that are simply the best in the city. Staff is upbeat and friendly and I love seeing them every time I’m in town! This place will not disappoint you!
