Worth every penny! Tucked away in the back of a plaza on the Southeast corner of 7th Ave. and McDowell. MUST TRY! Had a side of a biscuit with gravy. By far, the best I have had anywhere in the nation! The Mexican Benedict was off the charts ... perfect poached eggs on it. My friend had the Blackstone Scramble. The pork shoulder was tender and flavorful. Can't wait to try Vovomeena again!

I ate all my food before I remembered to take a photo! I am from LA so the food choices here in Phoenix seem limited. When I saw Vovomeena, I was expecting Brazilian food lol. But it was just the usual breakfast food, i.e. pancakes, waffles, eggs Benedict, coffee etc. I had the waffle plate with eggs and choice of meat. I requested linguiça and they accommodated it thankfully. The food was good for a breakfast place. I had a cafe latte, which was also good. I would recommend this place for a nice trendy place to go.

Vovomeena is a great place to have breakfast well for me at least anyways that's all we had but I'm sure the rest of the food is just as good. it has a nice casual atmosphere to it and some outside seating that is nicely covered .This restaurant is a little different when it comes to ordering it's kind of like a fast food restaurant you order and pay for it and then they bring it to you. I thought it was a Mexican restaurant but I guess I was wrong the cashier told me it was a Portuguese restaurant. So I definitely wanted to give it a try. We ended up ordering the Blackstone Scramble, the Mexican Benedict and the Pawtucket West. The food was delicious it was full of flavor and the presentation of the food was definitely mouthwatering. I had a great breakfast and I will definitely be going back to try out some more of the food there.

Yelp brought us to Vovomeena and we're glad it did. When you walk in, there's a sign that walks you through the process. Walk inside, take a menu, order when you're ready, and then find a table. Once we ordered, our food was ready within ten minutes. The French toast with the honey mascarpone was very good (and sweet!). My daughter loved her pancakes and my wife really enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. We left content. They have bottomless coffee and free ice water in the back.

Decided to try this place out since I'm always looking for new and different places to get breakfast/brunch. Staff was friendly, you order then sit and they bring the food to you. Food was served fairly quickly, hot, delicious, although a couple items were forgot they quickly rectified it. Would definitely go back even though I live in Mesa and this is in Central Phoenix. So many options left to try.

I’ve passed by here so many times without stopping in and in glad to say I finally have! It’s such a cute and trendy vibe on the inside. The sparkling apple juice was so delicious with my meal. My boyfriend had the Mexican Benedict and I had the orchard French toast. Both were absolutely amazing, very fresh and filling! The staff was also very attentive and came around to make sure we were okay! My only dislike is that while the water cups were super cute Moscow mule style cups, they did give the water a bit of an unpleasant taste! Other than that I had no complaints, we’ll definitely be returning.

Quick service, COVID-19 compliant, sit-down cafe. The food was absolutely amazing here. Service was friendly and attentive. ProTip: no alcoholic drinks. However, there craft coffees are so good here.

Very efficiently run operation where you order and then get a table. The flow into this restaurant is constant! The self serve coffee is great—not burnt and has this unique caramel-like texture. Yum. I ordered the Mexican Benedict and wanted to add avocado—not an option?!? Omg. The chorizo is quite heavy and something fresh is needed on this plate. It’s yummy but missing something. They need more vegetarian swaps or choices—veggies!! Chilaquiles? For the size of the kitchen this place is really cranking!!

This place is DIVINE. Hands down my favorite breakfast spot. Their specials are always worth trying, as are their staples. The moonshine cold brew is also excellent.

Shared parking lot that fills up fast. Takes cash or card. You are NOT allowed to sit or save a table until you order your food. Vovomeena sports both indoor and outdoor seating with decor to create a hip vibe. Everything is spotless and the presentation of the restaurant is great. Additionally, the staff was welcoming and polite. As for the food, I wasn't impressed at all--especially given the price. The waffle fell flat, the chicken sausage tasted cheap, and the eggs were mediocre. The presentation was nice, but the flavors just weren't there. I hope this was a fluke and I just got the wrong cook on the wrong day, but I can't say I'm convinced enough to go back.

Very nice small restaurant with great, unusual breakfasts along with some standards. We were looking for somewhere open for in dining as we are just visiting Phoenix and this was great. They are paying a lot of attention to correct social distancing and have fantastic food. Highly recommend!

I took my mother-in-law here several times for brunch and breakfast. The was consistently good. Everything the made with eggs was savory and rich. In addition to the egg dishes, try any of their baked goods. Parking is fairly easy and there are a couple shops to visit while you're in that area, but not many.

My scramble and coffee were good. But factoring in the flies everywhere and, what appears to be, my fiance's moldy biscuit and very chewy/undercooked bacon, I can't rate much higher than this. Due to her experience I bet it will be a long while before we come back, if ever. Once a place grosses her out it's not something she shakes off easily. I'd rate it differently if it didn't cost $40 for two after taxes and tip; that creates higher expectations.

Fun, unique, little hard to find breakfast spot. Eclectic menu that will require several visits to explore. Johnny Cakes w/chillies, prickly pear syrup, and cinnamon apple sweet rice was my first choice while the wife enjoyed the biscuits and gravy with perfectly cooked eggs. We'll definitely be back.

This cozy spot is full of flavor and attentive staff. Even if it’s packed, they make sure to bring out the food quickly, always with a positive attitude. The highlight of our visit was the BANANA BREAD!!!!!! Incredibly delicious. You need to try this place.

Nice place. Food was good…not great. Prices are steep for a breakfast. I don’t like that you have to line up to order or get up to get your own coffee. Customer service is nonexistent. Glad that we tried it but probably won’t return.

Got chilaquiles and tortilla Espanola both had no flavor, and the chila had just tomato taste. Seasoned it w salt and it barely helped, the onion were spicier. Coffee saved it but honest never coming back to food that's white washed and overpriced. Real Latinos know to stay away.

Had the 3 sisters omelette with spuds and a drip coffee from Roastery of Cave Creek. Overall I left feeling satisfied, although the omelette seemed to be lacking something, like salsa or sour cream. A little salt and green cholula sauce improved it drastically. The interactions with staff impressed me the most. They’re quick at clearing tables and slinging plates of food. Will have to come again to try their other offerings.

This meal was amazing. I ordered the first thing on the menu, don't recall the name. But it was very delicious. The tortilla was warm and fresh. The blueberry muffin was also a nice start. I would definitely go here if you are visiting Phoenix.

Love this place! It’s our neighborhood breakfast go to. It casual, fun, and has a dog patio. You order at the counter first then they will show you to a table. Don’t worry though, they have it down to a science! Look on Facebook to find out the special. The corned beef hash is my fave when they have it! IF you want out of the way super bomb brunch spot then go here! The entrance is hard to find its on back of building, but well worth it!

The vibe of this place is really laid back and inviting. Interesting decorations. Had the Banging Pocket. It was amazing. Zesty, juicy sausages wrapped in pita with eggs and smoked Gouda. The house salsa was also quite tasty. They also provide bottomless coffee. Highly recommend it for breakfast.

I'll tell ya what, found this place looking on Google for a place to eat. Thank God my buddy and I checked this place out! Man O man is this place great! We both had the BMOC. Your talkin' a grilled pork chop, over a big waffle, with egg's to order right on top, with a portuguese donut. Wow was it good! This place will be my breakfast go to from now on! Way to go staff, Thank you!

Our first experience here. Very nice staff and nice cozy atmosphere. Organized for covid. There was instructions posted on what to do along with the menu posted outside. Outdoor and indoor seating was available. Nice patio and we like the decoration inside. I read on a previous review that this place is a little hard to find. It’s right next door to Five Guys. There’s parking in the back. Entrance is in the courtside area. Breakfast was delicious!

I can't believe I haven't been here before. Excellent breakfast food, top tier coffee, charming staff, extremely fast service, and an inviting atmosphere. The rosemary in the sausage gravy alone will bring me back here but I might have a hard time ordering again it because I want to taste everything else on the menu too. Banana bread pudding French toast? That's like three breakfasts in one!

First time trying this place, food came out quick. Water is self-serve. Sandwich was good, but the potatoes were horrible and soggy. My scramble wasn't too great. Underseasoned and the raw onion was unpleasant.

Here in Phoenix visiting for a music festival from Seattle. Since the Seattle food scene is awesome we had high expectations. This place did not disappoint. We went here twice over the weekend for their menu that is a delicious and creative example of southwestern breakfast cuisine. Day 1 we got the tortilla espanola and the Mexican Benedict. Along with a chai and an earl grey. That day probably would’ve been 4/5 stars; staff was friendly and super efficient, earl grey was awesome, but the chai was pretty milky for our taste and the food was somewhat under seasoned. The hollandaise was kind of overpowered by the chorizo. Sunday, day 2 was 5/5 stars. Friendly and fast service even though there was a line to the door half the time we were there. Great cold brew coffee and a large selection of milks to put in. Got a great breakfast, coffee and a pastry to go for under $30 (unheard of in Seattle honestly). Today we got the Wilcox avenue where they subbed meat for fruit for my vegetarian companion and I got the banging pocket which was indeed banging. The food was a little less under seasoned than yesterday but still needed some salt on the potatoes but they were much crispier and had more flavor than the day before. Loved this place I’m so glad we visited!

Great food in a cozy place with a staff that is so nice and the food that exceeds its service. I really enjoyed the waffles and liked that they have options for no pork eaters, I was very excited that they had chicken sausage on the menu. This is place I will go to again and again!

Quality, inspired dishes. This is what more restaurants need to do. I'm tired of going to a place and ordering pancakes and bacon and eggs.

Great location, good casual environment, great food. They definitely get busy. They have a very nice patio area too. The only thing I didn’t like was the Portuguese donuts, I thought they tasted like really oily fry bread.

This was the first place which my youngest son and I visited upon our arrival to Phoenix. Very interesting decor as well as a menu choices. Knowledgeable employees are happy to assist you with making your food or beverage decisions. We also found out about places to check out during our stay in their city. Food was absolutely delicious, simply incredible! Regardless the fact that place was busy employees made sure to ask few times if we needed anything else furthermore that we are happy with food and overall experience. We sat on a patio, enjoying our breakfast. There is a parking lot right on a side of the restaurant. I highly recommend anyone who visit Phoenix to check this spot out!

Came here for brunch on a Sunday. My friend and I waited in line about 15 minutes to order and were promptly sat outside (per our request). I had one of the iced coffees—anise and cardamom. The flavors were subtle but yummy. For food, I ordered the Mexican Benedict and it was a home run! The meat had a nice kick to it. Great dish and great restaurant!

I've been to countless breakfast places in PHX and this place absolutely stands out! It is a notch above for sure. There is typically a little bit of a line and wait but it's never anything that would deter me from skipping out on this spot. The biscuits and gravy are some of the greatest I've ever had, and I would stand in an even longer line for the french toat. Whatever you do, don't miss out on this spot!

Absolutely delicious! Very nice place with good service and a nice outside patio. I definitely will be going back to try other things on the menu.

Great breakfast! I had the biscuits and gravy. Portion size was good and very good flavor. I liked the touch of fresh herbs sprinkled on top. It definitely had a "made at home" flavor to it. Coffee was excellent as well. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a brunch type place outside of chain restaurants. Cheers!

This place is delicious and staff was so kind. Ate the b.m.o.c and the orchard French toast with spuds. Everything was well crafted and cooked to perfection. Also had a vanilla late and orange juice which were both delicious. The weather was a beautiful 60 degrees and patio seating was a nice setting. Highly recommend to others.

Really cute brunch spot Uptown! They have a cozy patio and food was delivered quickly. You order at the counter and they do prefer cash. I wish they offered breakfast cocktails, that would have been perfection! Staff was very friendly.

I was staying in the area and decided to give Vovomeena a try. I ordered the egg sandwich with potatoes, as well as their Japanese cold brew. I thought the egg sandwich and potatoes were pretty flavorful and would definitely order again. As for their Japanese cold brew coffee, it didn’t really meet my expectations. It had a very earthy taste, as opposed to a more bitter flavored cold brew. As for the atmosphere, I really liked the cute, farmhouse-meets-industrial aesthetic they had going on in the interior. My only complaint is their chairs, I find their style of metal chairs to be very uncomfortable. Overall it was a good experience and I’d be willing to give it another try sometime and maybe order something different.

I can see the draw of the place, but it's not for me. You have to order your own food and find your table, and they expect a tip. The good: nice people, clean, music was good and the coffee was on point. The bad: bacon was not that good. Potatoes had too many onions in them, the ketchup bottle is old school glass so I hade fight the bottle to gwt the ketchup out. All in all, I would say it's for a specific demographic, which isn't me. I wouldn't recommend it, but I won't say it's it's a place to avoid. It's exactly what it is.

A delicious breakfast, with friendly staff and a great atmosphere. The savory crepes were very good. They let us substitute/upgrade some things, and everything was fresh with solid presentation.

Drove up from Tucson for an event and searched for a breakfast place before returning home. Loved the relaxed atmosphere. Food was quick to come out and delicious. Lots of coffee options as well. Will definitely return if I'm in the PHX area again

This place is awesome. I loved the quick service. The food came out extremely fast and was flavor full. I was a little bummed there were no soda fountains but there were bottled/canned drinks. They did have a killer coffee bar and unlimited regular coffee to subsidize the drinks. I will definitely be back to try some of your other dishes I seen coming out of that kitchen.
