This restaurant has been open since 1977. The menu was full of delicious comfort food. We got the tirkey dinner and the pot roast. Be sure to order a piece of pie before leaving. Enough for 2 people.

Please don't judge the outside. Walk in and see the older style seats and a great place to eat. The chicken fried chicken is 100 the best . Real mash potatoes and the gravy was out of this world. The homemade pie was great. The home-made bread was great, just like my grandmother used to make for dinner. 2 of us with pie was $45.88

This place has been around forever, my parents love coming here. I had the prime rib “grilled” and it was amazing! Green beans were very tasty. My buddy ordered the Cesar salad and it was huge. Can’t beat the price point, REAL salad bar, and family style service.

I arrived at 11:00 a.m. and I only saw a few people already there. The hostess sat me quickly, and my server Julian brought me some delicious coffee while I looked at my menu. I decided on a lunch special; open-faced roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy and decided to get a salad from the salad bar as well. Everything was great and I especially liked the mini loaf of honey wheat bread. I was surprised when my entree arrived because it was big enough to feed two people but that means I have leftovers for tonight. Yeah! The place was beginning to fill up and it's always a good sign when I see seniors because they know a good value and good cooking. As I was eating I could hear other people ordering food and I noticed a lot of prime rib orders so I think it's a popular choice and my next one. I met the owner as I was getting ready to leave and I had to compliment him on doing everything right. They have a very friendly and efficient staff. Thanks again to Julian. Try it out, I don't think you'll be disappointed. I almost forgot... plenty of parking in the rear.

The pot roast is SO0oooooo good! The veggies are to perfection that they never make it home! The chicken fried steak and gravy is no joke. To say there's leftovers can only mean one thing. We had to save room for the most amazing apple pie! Honestly, everything tastes homemade from the green beans to the pink lemonade to the fresh bread. When we're in the mood for a good home cooked meal, this is it!

We visited for the first time last Saturday, found the place when looking for a restaurant that has a salad bar as there are almost none around anymore. The restaurant has been around for a long time and is very retro but in great shape. Seemed well maintained and clean. Loved the old school salad bar, only complaint is the size of the plates. The bread plate size makes it difficult to eat without half of it falling off onto the table. My husband got the turkey dinner special and the turkey was moist and flavorful. Stuffing was sort of runny but had a good taste. Mashed potatoes were homemade and great, gravy and corn were decent. I had the bigger cut of prime rib with mashed potatoes and corn as well. I ordered it medium rare and it was medium to medium well instead. They gave me the end piece which is always the most cooked through. I did not send it back as that is a big loss for them as they can can't use it once it hits the table. It still was fairly tender and a pretty good taste thankfully, would've been much better rarer but still was fairly enjoyable. Came with Au jus and a good horseradish so that helped a lot. We split a piece of apple pie afterwards. They are really big pieces and pretty good pie, great value. Our whole bill before tip was only $45 including tax; we definitely want to try it again even if it is a 20 minute drive from home. Keep doing what you're doing!

Nostalgic and delicious. Look, it's not new American or food with a modern twist. It's a place that takes you back in time when dishes have only a few components. They really nail those components though. Both the meatloaf and turkey were excellent and neither were dry. Mashed potatoes were perfectly seasoned. Server was very friendly. What's not to love?

For Mother's Day, we decided to try this restaurant. It is a place we can't let die. Very family traditional has been open for a long time. I am big on service, and Martha definitely delivered great service. The food is good, I added a bit of salt and turned it in great. It's a bit outdated but clean and cozy. Support local businesses.

My Mothers continues to be a great family restaurant almost like a vintage Diner from the East Coast. My husband and me visited last night after a few months of ordering to go and the restaurant looks cleaner and have a great vibe. All of the servers had a smile and the service was fast. When the food came it was as delicious and a good bargain for the price! Kudos to the cooks to continue to deliver good food! We will continue coming back.

They deliver exactly what is expected. Their speciality is American comfort food served in very large portions. I really liked the mashed potatoes. For the pot roast, you need to use the sauce for flavor. I usually come here when I want lasagna. They have a large variety of pies available for dessert, most of which have a cream/pudding base. It's a very casual place but a waiter still comes by. I didn't even notice that my water was refilled. Staff were nice. The place is not decorated but goes for a homey feel with booth tables. Overall, very comfortable and satisfactory

I came here with my friend tonight, who recommended it. I had the spicy chicken sandwich and he had the meatloaf. The food was delicious, and having the salad bar there was a great treat, along with the complimentary bread. Our waitress Martha was phenomenal. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very helpful. Don’t let the surrounding area detract, this really is a great restaurant to come visit. Prices are very competitive, and there’s a great variety of food, as well as portion sizes.

Incredible! Food that tasted like FOOD! Enough on each plate to served two, so you know what's for lunch tomorrow, too! Pleasant and prompt service.

Great overall experience, the service is bilingual and it's great! The staff does a great job bringing a great experience. I ordered the Pot Roast meal with a side of Mashed potatoes, some house potatoes, and a side of rice Pilaf. The pot roast was good (A lot, big dinner) just needed a bit more salt and to be a little more tender. The rice Pilaf was ok, it tated like it's boxed or just not that good. The mashed potatoes needed salt as well and the gravy was ok. The soup was cooked well and nice, I don't remember the name but it's a broth and it was pretty good. Overall the meal was blan but they do use good quality ingredients and the service is really good 👍. Great job, keep up the good work 👌

I have been coming here for eight years. This is the best food for a home-cooked meal! They have the best, and I mean the best-carved turkey, potato salad, or bread anywhere!!! It is not the best location, nor is it sparkly inside, but you will thank me!

I dined there this evening.9/6/23 I had the prime rib, baked potato and corn on the cob with the salad bar. The food was awesome. I live in Mesa, but I will definitely be back! And a BIG thank you to the waitress who served us. Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳 🎉! Virgo in the house!!!!! You were so sweet and awesome.

Pot roast was not well done like I ask. Meat was still raw inside. The second time I ordered. The older Caucasian male delivery driver spilt my food sideways which had dressing all in the bag. He was upset any give him a tip. The service is better when you eat at the restaurant. This is to much for take out

Great portions!! The meatloaf was good, but the banana pie was like 2.5 inches high. I was stuffed, and the prices are very reasonable.

We've been coming to My Mother's restaurant in Phoenix for countless years. The food and service never fail to be fantastic, regardless of when we have dined. Good quality, old-fashioned food with huge portions. Their pies, especially the chocolate cream and coconut cream pies, are better than my own mother ever made. (Sorry Mom!) The salad bar items are always fresh and the area is maintained properly and replenished regularly. It would be great if they replaced some tables and chairs that are getting a little too worn, which explains my own less star on the atmosphere question. We have turned all my family and friends onto this great little gem. I could not recommend them more!!

It is homey food done well! I had some difficulty choosing what I wanted to eat as I wasn't too hungry, but there were many appetizing looking dishes. I got the teriyaki chicken and corn

I've been eating at this neighborhood restaurant for 20 years or so maybe longer. This is a family restaurant and the original owner's truly had a love for this business! It was ran like a well oiled machine. When they retired, and their daughter got married, they gifted the restaurant to the new couple. In all honesty they should have made them buy it! Maybe they would have a deeper love and commitment to the place. The food doesn't even compare to what it was at one time and has just gotten to the point tonight was my last night eating here, They changed the menu about a month or so ago, raised the prices quite a bit! While the quality of the food they serve has fallen off a cliff! Most of the time I ordered the open face roast turkey sandwich that used to come with a nice serving of turkey breast, mashed potatoes and gravy. Tonight what I got was mostly all dark meat with a couple pieces of breast meat. Should a person choose to add the salad bar to their meal for an extra cost is an option. The Salad bar years ago was so good, Today the lettuce is always drenched in water, dressings are totally watered down and just not a good choice anymore! It's sad to see what once was a great dining establishment! To what it is today, which is a place I can no longer recommend as a place to get some good comfort food. Long a go are the days when someone's love and hard work really shined at My Mothers.

Very old school diner/restaurant - we walked in later in the evening and I think that might have impacted our experience. The server was very rushed and flustered, our food was ok but sort of ishy. I won’t be rushing to visit again.
