After our evening activities we decided to stop find a place for a late night dinner. And then it was after midnight there were that many choices but we ran across a food truck called La Frontera 1. They had exactly what we wanted, and they accepted cash or credit cards. It was almost like faith. The El Pastor tacos and California burrito for incredibly delicious! And washing it down with a real Mexican Coca-Cola topped off the night! Don't expect a nice dining area. This is an outdoor style seating, but the food definitely makes up for it!

The main issue for us was the lack of safety when dining in. A lot of homeless and disoriented people approach you to ask for money or just stare. As far as the food goes, it was not bad but I do wish they would offer a good crema for the fish tacos instead of just Mayonnaise. Would also suggest better quality tortillas because the ones they use go cold and hard quickly.

Vibe and location: perfect example of street Taco, this place has a nice and (great location) keeping in mind the nature of the business. food quality and service: amazing quality, authentic with true reflection of Tacos that you would get when traveling to the North of Mexico. We loved it :) Thank you La Frontera !

Worst Mexican food in my life! $36 straight to the trash. They charge $1 for using card. $3 per taco $11.50 per burrito and up charges depending on meat. I ordered a horchata it’s definitely a Klass Horchata mix not real horchata and it was $5. The red and green sauces were bland no taste at all and watered down. The al pastor smelled and tasted gamy and still had hair from the pig. Tasted like old expired carnitas. The tortillas were cold and sweaty. Both the carne asada and al pastor were very unseasoned. I’ve heard the stories of people from Culiacán feeding dog to patrons and I believed this food truck fed me dog since it’s Culiacán based.

Authentic mexican. Food is great. I would take it to go on hot days but, food is worth it. Staff is friendly and are willing to explain what foods have. Green salsa is the best. I highly recommend eating here.

This place knows how to make a street taco. The food is top quality, the people and environment makes you feel welcomed, and if you ask for lime, side of jalapeno, or slices of cucumber, they give it to you for free, no questions asked. Very fast service too

The best tripa and cabeza tacos in Phoenix! I also enjoyed the carne asada but not as much as the others. Very busy place but they get your food out pretty fast.

Fantastic food truck. The food is excellent. I stop by at least once a week to get a California Burrito with the green salsa. They're open almost the entire day so you can stop by late night and get hot delicious food made to order.

Omg I did not realize you could get food this good and fast from a food truck . This truck is so busy they have 2 in the same parking lot. They speak mostly Spanish but understand me no matter what I ask or if I want to change anything it's always right. It's pretty much 2 or 3 meals if you get the burritos. Try this one for yourself

Perfect post-flight dinner! Was open late on a week-day after landing at the airport. The chicharron & tripa tacos were great.

A great (permanent) food truck with outdoor seating, covered. A bit urban, next to 16th Street. But the food is great. Their drinks are huge if you order one.

Food was good and my burrito was huge. The prices are kind of high. For 5 street tacos and a burrito the bill was almost $30. There were a couple homeless people sleeping at one table and another causing a scene when asked to leave the area.

The place is easy to find and has outside seating with shade provided. I ordered a green chili burrito and a ham torta (they use the yellow cheese) with an horchata. The food was good and it was out pretty quick. However, with how expensive the meal was I feel like it could have tasted better. Total was 27 dollars (rounding) which is very expensive in my opinion.

Never coming here. Tacos tasted like plastics and had no flavor. Worst tacos thinking I was going to a good taco truck . I would say worst tacos I’ve had in Phoenix Az

Even with a long line it seemed to go by fast. After we ordered it was withing minutes we got our food. The Jamaica was delicious! Carne asada tacos were good. The cucumbers were bitter sour, like they didn't rub the end together (IYKYK) The only thing the only place to use the restroom is a porta potty and it was disgusting. The seat was broken there were ants and trash all over the floor. The other porta potty was locked. There was no hand washing stations either. It was after 10pm so the jack in the box bathroom was closed too.

I love the food 9times out of 10 this last time I got the tripas and it’s very easy to mess up tripas and they just missed this time they were over cooked I don’t think it’s like that all the time so I wouldn’t give anything less than 5 stars cause the rest of the menu is amazing

Excellent tacos and reasonable price. We ordered 5 tacos and 2 drinks and only cost $22.5. Highly recommended lengua (tender and juicy, also flavorful) and chicharrón (crispy, got a little chew to it). Tripa is a bit too dry for my taste.

Best truck tacos, good variety. Service is good and prompt. Tables have leftovers from prior visitors.

Great food truck, this is really the only place I go for a carne asada burrito 🌯 no beans and you really get your money worth there.

We've been coming here for the longest. I love their carne asada and tripa tacos. My husband always gets the carne asada with just bean burrito. Their guacamole salsa is my favorite. They need to hand out good key limes we always get them dry or bad key limes. Other than that this is our to go taco and burrito place 🤗

This place is great. Some of the best Al Pastor I have ever had. And some great Jamaica. The parking is behind the truck and there is some seats and tables in front of the truck in a shady area.

My babe and I was looking for a good food place for my birthday dinner and they did not disappoint. The freshness of the ingredients and the perfectly seasoned pollo and carne was absolutely amazing. The price is more than worth it and we did not have an issue with the homeless as we sat outside and enjoyed the night. The staff was super friendly and helpful. There were other vendors as well selling delicious donuts and tres leches cake. Can't wait to visit again.

I've been to this food truck for 5 years and it has never disappointed me. The food is always amazing, fresh, and flavorful. I took my fiancee there for first time and she tried to send me back for more haha

The most AMAZING SHRIMP TACOS may be found here! I rarely consume more than two or three tacos. I ate five shrimp tacos. authentic ingredients! Since they do not accept cards, make sure to carry cash! Bring additional money so you can purchase as many tacos as you like! My friends and I each ate five shrimp tacos. Definitely returning!

Best tacos you're going to get in Phoenix, not the best in the southwest region, but considering the other options in this state, its as good as you'll get. Wish the tortillas weren't as dry as to the point that they break apart, would like for them to be oiled as most taco trucks do, but it's their truck, not my choice to make.

Best tacos in Phoenix in my opinion.

  • 2/5 Ruby V. 2 years ago on Google
Food has down hill since they first started. Their tortillas aren't the same and their prices are ridiculous. I rather go eat at a nicer place with better tacos for that price.

This place was super close to my job so it was very convenient for me. Super fast customer service and nice. I had barbacoa tacos and they were super super fatty I was basically eating salsa and tortilla from how much fat I pulled out. Thankfully my coworker had gotten carne asada and gave me a taco which was great. I’ll give it another try in the future but they def need improvement with fattiness and their tortillas falling apart:(
