I give the staff 5* they were very helpful and kind. But... I booked this room online and I'm from out of town. This hotel is not in a great area. I do not recommend if you are with young kids or a single woman. The online pictures look much better than what you get in person. - multiple groups of 2-3 people hanging out in the parking lot past midnight and lots of people coming and going very late into the night. I booked late so I probably paid more than usual. But I'd expect a place like this to be about $69-79/night, but I'd never go back. They did a decent job trying to update the rooms. They weren't bad but not great either. but I'm not picky. My low star rating has everything to do with the location.

Whilst this hotel has some good points, I would not stay here again. Here are the good points: Renovated rooms? Check Reasonably comfortable beds? Check Low traffic noise? Check Good toiletries? Check Regular airport shuttle? Check Good housekeeping? Check Bad points: Bad management? Check Room mixups? Check What ultimately dropped what could have been an overall '4 star' experience to a '2 star experience' was being woken just before 1am as another guest was trying to get into our room. Had the guest simply confused the room number it wouldn't have been a problem. Those things happen, they're honest mistakes. It transpired that they had been assigned the room we had. They were polite about it, and went back to the front desk. The front desk then called us 10 minutes later (after we had fallen asleep again) and asked us why we were in that room. They then wanted us to come to the front office at 1am (it's a U-shaped hotel with the front office separate across the parking lot) with our ID to prove who we were, to which we replied once again that we had been assigned this room at check in and didn't want to venture out at 1am across a dimly lit parking lot. Do people often break into rooms here without hotel keys? Is this a recurring issue? Maybe safety is a concern here. (Apparently we were supposed to be two rooms down, but we weren't to know that) After asking for our name, which we gave, they then hung up the line and left us wondering what was going to happen. Whilst the hotel has enough good points to justify the price the affordability was not worth it because of the disturbed sleep.

I would highly persuade anyone coming to phoenix to not stay at this hotel. For the price I was paying I was expecting a typical "Best Western" experience, but this was just bad. I'm not from the area and the location is in a bad part of town so that's off to a bad start. This would probably be okay but the parking lot is accessible from the street with no gate, or codes or anything so it was not the best set up. Besides that the room was just not good. Everything was a bit dingy, and the design and layout was bad. We were on the ground floor next to the stairs and could hear very clearly whenever someone was going up and down the stairs. We literally had a gap in our door between the door and the ground so light would come in through the bottom and you could hear everything happening outside. We stuffed towels in the gap so we could at least sleep at night without hearing everyone going up and down the stairs. On top of this neither the TV nor internet didn't work, so there was nothing to do to pass the time. I paid over $200 for this room and it felt like a $30 motel experience. I do not recommend this place at all.

I stayed in the hotel 2 nights. The room in the second floor, which is right above my room, was really noisy, and their children kept running and jumping on floor. I can’t sleep because of them. I called front desk but they didn’t answer, so I went to second floor to talk to the visitors in that room and told them please be quiet but they totally didn’t listen and told me they have 2 kids. Then, they still kept making noise and made me not fall asleep and feel angry. When I called the front desk again, the staff answered, but her attitude was really crazy. I told her the room in the second floor was making noise, but she said that they complained that I knocked their door. It’s ridiculous because first, I never knocked their door. The visitors in that room saw me through window, so we talked. Second, the front desk staff thought the whole thing was my fault. Because of me, she got phone calls at new year Eve that totally disturbed her. The staff even yell that “stop F-word-ing yell to me”, and then hanged up phone call, and never answered my call anymore. I swear I never yell but she even yell to me, and she didn’t investigate, and didn’t listen my experience patiently. She was really crazy to say F word. It’s totally unacceptable and REALLY RIDICULOUS! Finally, the room in the second floor kept making noise even after midnight, and I got scolded by the front desk. I didn’t fall asleep because there was much noise and I felt infuriate. I never experienced any hotel service like this time. Don’t book this Hotel!

Booking a room here was a giant mistake. The part of town isn’t very nice/safe and at one in the morning, while I was fast asleep, the door to my hotel room opens up and a stranger walks in. Obviously this is upsetting, that the staff doesn’t care enough to keep their guests safe as this situation could have very easily turned into a life threatening situation for myself as well as the other guest. When I went to the front desk to raise awareness that they had issued a key to the room I was sleeping in to someone else, Tony at the front desk told me that there was no management available, he could do nothing for me and that I should just go back to sleep, he couldn’t even provide a working number for customer service, I had to find it on my own. When I received a call from customer service they offered me $25, which is completely unacceptable for the terrible experience. Other than having a complete stranger walk into my room at 1am, and not being able to speak with a manager about it, the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything going on in the rooms next to you, there was no shampoo in the shower, and the refrigerator buzzed all night making it difficult to fall asleep. Forget getting back to sleep after realizing that the staff cannot even be expected to not send random strangers into the room while I’m sleeping. The manager on duty in the morning was also incapable of making a decision to resolve the situation without speaking with the area manager which makes me wonder what exactly she manages to begin with. Terrible customer experience, customer service, and attempt at a half hearted resolution. Terrible way to start my vacation. Save yourself the trouble and give your money to someone who can manage to not send strangers into your room while you sleep putting both your lives in danger. Worst hotel experience of my life. Run away.

The room was decent pretty small. I booked it so I didn’t have to spend 11 hours at the airport as they offered a free shuttle to and from the airport. The lady Evelyn maybe her name was, was extremely rude and made my few hours staying there extremely uncomfortable. She had an issue with my passport which is never an issue checking in as it’s a federal ID. Then she got even more upset when I asked when the manager would be in. I had food delivered to my room and because I had went to the pool with my children was afraid I’d miss it, I called down to the front desk to advise her of my food order and she didn’t even assure me she would keep an eye and rushed to hang up the phone. I work as front desk at a hotel and this is a huge NO. You are the first contact the guests have with the hotel and I for sure will not recommend this hotel with that woman working at front desk. You do not belittle and make your guest feel unsafe and uncomfortable even if for a few hours. The man who was working when I left was nice and polite.

If I could give this a zero star I would. I flew into Phoenix with a 6 hour layover looking for a cheap option to get some sleep. I was not given clear instructions regarding the shuttle so I ended up waiting for close to an hour for a shuttle. Finally got a shuttle, get to the hotel and the front desk girl takes close to 15 minutes to get me checked in. I am traveling alone and she stated my room number out loud with other guests in the lobby waiting to check in. I go to get ice because the tap water will not get cold and there are no instructions on the ice machine on how to use it. I am not finally laying down at 1:44am come to find out I cannot get a 4:30am shuttle for my flight that has to board at 5:20am. So I now have to get a 4am shuttle as they only come on the hour and get 2 hours of sleep.

First let me just say the young lady who help accommodate my wife as we book multiple rooms was great. We we coming in because we just needed a nice place to rest up for a few hours from our long cross country trip (NC TO CALI) I was very skeptical about here simple because I have never stayed here and from the name it sounds bootleg. But trust me if you are thinking that then just throw that thought out the window or off the sears tower. Its really nice. A complete opposite of what I pictured. So if you are wondering if this hotel is a good pick, rest assure. You will be fine. And trust me. If you check out my other 2300+ reviews on the properties we have stayed at you will know that I keep it official like a referee with. Whistle.

The older Indian woman seen me walk through the door. She wasn’t very welcoming or helpful at all. As I stood behind a gentleman who was checking in, she stood behind the counter eating. When a white woman walked in asking for change, she assisted her before assisting me. She told me that I was unable to check in because I live within the 30 mile radius, that was fine but she was very rude and unapologetic. I work for a radio station that’s not too far and we have a pretty big project tomorrow so I wanted to be close to the station and be well rested for my early morning start. I booked my stay through a 3rd party who mentioned nothing about the 30 mile policy. I understand that company policies because we all have them. But what I do not understand is rudeness and inconsideration. Might I suggest retraining in Customer SuccessFactors? Thank you

For a motel I am giving this one 5 stars. I know other reviews really were negative about the location but it's pretty much what you can expect close to an airport. The staff were helpful, the room updated and clean. I was doing the sleep, park and fly program so parked my car at the motel while I traveled for 2 weeks. They have a secure parking area, behind gates, security cameras and lights. Actually better than the hotel I used previously for the same purpose. The breakfast was good, more of a Continental breakfast but lots of options. You can't bring the food out of the breakfast area but that's clearly stated in several places..just plan to eat there. Excellent shuttle service. As a single woman traveling alone I felt safe. Would use again.

One of the WORST hotel experiences of my life and I’ve been around a very long time! In very fine print apparently the room k booked was smoking which the rude desk clerk never mentioned at check in before he charged my card. I came back immediately to say we could not sleep in it and he said the hotel was full despite the parking lot being empty on a Sunday night! Online a non smoking room was $3 more and they had one but insisted I pay $25 for it! I called customer service with no resolution. I will dispute the charge on my credit card. The whole place was filthy and of course now I see it’s located in a dangerous area as well. I’m shocked as I’ve been a Best Western Member for years and rely on the brand for quality, hospitality and safety. Not this one! Do your self a favor and find the Raddison or Hilton.

It's ideal for the price, which is cheaper than the other stays near the airport. My flight in was delayed so I feared that the shuttle bus wouldn't be running, but it (the green & white airport parking bus) came along 15 minutes after I started waiting, and the driver was a lovely happy lady given she was having to work so late. The reception was still manned at 12.45am so I was able to check in. Breakfast was sufficient enough to get you started for the day. I was only at the hotel for about 10 hours in the end and barely slept due to overtiredness from traveling, but the bed was comfortable. Good size TV and the room was clean, with basic toiletries provided.

It is simple. Cleanness was so ok. Roomsize well. Walls and connection doors between rooms very thin. My neighbors at 3 AM started watching TV hell loud. I came from a 24-hour trip and needed sleep. Not possible. Breakfast was for my German needs, poor. Compared to others in this price level in the states, it was OK. The location is for tourists, just so so. For 1 overnight before or after flight, it is good. A free shuttle service to the airport is available. But you have to register.

You need to update your website to state that it is a motel (where doors open to the outdoors). Also, add pictures of the parking lot and the exterior of the rooms so people can see where they are staying. When we pulled up to the Surestay, there were transients on the sidewalk as well as police presence across the street with a helicopter flying over. I immediately did not feel safe staying there with my family. I asked to speak with the manager, and there was no management onsite. The clerk behind the counter refused to give me a refund on my reservation. Best Western, you need to detach your name from this establishment, as it does not meet the standards the public has come to expect from a Beat Western establishment. Shame on me for not doing my due diligence, but shame on you Surestay for not being transparent and showing pictures of ALL the property on your website.

It's still in the ghetto area of phx. Seen hookers walking the road. But the rooms were very newly remodeled and clean. Would stay again. Parking is surrounded my the hotel so you don't have to worry about anything happening

I stayed twice, separately, while in brief transit, and this place fine for that purpose. I would probably stay again if it remained at a competitive price, as it was. The Shuttle from the airport was regular enough and easy to catch (although it can take some time if there are people going to the car park as it drops everyone off near their car). Shuttle back to the airport only goes on the hour and needs to be requested the day before. I requested a non-smoking room but my first room smelled of smoke, and the shower didn't drain very well. I didn't have time or energy to complain so I can't say what the resolution would have been. On the way back, my second room didn't have these issues. Overall - Beds comfy enough, a/c good, breakfast was okay for transit (but no vegan options other than cheap bread, nothing gf except fruit). Also note: My first check in took AGESSS, there were 2 (very dispirited/cold, not at all friendly) members of staff at the desk, but only one was doing the check in while the other was on/off the phone, so check in was longer with people ahead of me needing help / having a complicated check in. This wasn't ideal for arriving late at night when i just wanted to sleep. Second time a different staff member also seemed very tired/dispirited/cold. It made me wonder how this place values their staff. This is not a place to stay if you want to explore phoenix. The general area didn't seem the most safe, but the hotel itself feels safe and it's fine for a night of decent sleep close to the airport.

Came here after a long overnight connection. Very conveniently located. It looks a little sketchy driving up but you can tell they've put some work into the place. The bright lights helped it feel a bit safer. Its a motel style hotel, so the rooms did have the motel feel to it. The free shuttle service goes to airport parking lots so its not a straight shot to the hotel and back. Uber/Lyft is probably a better option if you are in any hurry. The free breakfast was a little bare. Bread, Yogurt, oatmeal and bananas/oranges, but its better than nothing! You aren't allowed to take the food back to your room and there is a limited number of seats in the breakfast room, so get there early. Breakfast is from 7am-9am. When I went in about 0800 it was super packed and no seats were available. Ended up sitting next to a random couple while I waited for another table to open up.

WORST "hotel" experience EVER! Surely don't stay here. I have worked, and been a frequent guest in the hotel industry most of my life, and what I have witnessed here is beyond awful. I come to Phoenix once a year for the annual memorial put on by Phoenix Children's Hospital since losing my youngest daughter. Last year I had a couple issues with this property, but I thought I'd give it a second chance this year, HUGE mistake! Upon checking in I found someone else's hair in my tub. I then got locked out of my room on the second day of my stay, after they charged my card. When I turned on the microwave and the jets for the tub at the same time the power went out, and then they downgraded my room, offering a $15 refund, while I get to move rooms with my oldest daughter in the middle of the night 6 hours before our departure in the dark. I paid $148+/night (plus tax) for two nights (36 hours really) for a jetted tub room, all this, and $15 is the best you can do? The toilet seat wasn't even attached correctly, come on. Upon switching rooms the TV wouldn't work, so I called the front desk for help. He asked me to look at wires no where near the phone, so I told him I'd need to set it down. When I returned to the phone; he'd hung up. I witnessed them move guests complaining about one room to another, and then checking in other guests to the same room without sanitizing it first. Gross. Asking for help from the staff is like waiting for water in the desert. Besides the fact they constantly "forget" to respond to you when you do ask for help; when I asked to talk to the manager I was told I COULD contact them tomorrow. I definitely did not get the "Sure Stay" experience that I paid for. P.S. There is an unlocked breaker panel, anyone can access, not safe, NOT ACCEPTABLE! (Let us not forget to mention all the petrified dog feces in the plant life area, that nobody ever removes.)

Not as described. Needed a day of stay for one night after long air travel and booked last minute. The room was non smoking and we could smell smoke. The room was not clean. Dirt and hair found in and around bathroom. Toilet was not cleaned. To give an example of the atmosphere, another guest remarked "oh, you survived" as we were checking out. I would not stay here again.

The area to put it bluntly is very scary. Would advise against families with kids or single women to look at other options. Front desk quite rude and should not be the face of the Hotel (REALLY a MOTEL). Room was B.W. quality with a bit of dirt and a horrible bed. Billing was also an issue. Was quoted $84 plus tax for the room, plus $10 a night for parking. After seeing the shuttle was not theirs and ran only on the hour I decided I would park at another location. I was told the bill would be deducted $28.33, I questioned and was told bluntly, that's it. My C/C was never credited $28.33. Called several times to no avail. Many hotels in the Airport area, this is one to pass on.

We had a difficult time checking in. We prepaid through Expedia and the gal at the desk had to jump through hoops and make a couple phone calls to verify us. What usually takes a few minutes took over a half hour. The room was clean and comfy, but the desk had a broken bottom drawer and the hot water to the sink took forever to get to the tap. Bathtub hot water was much quicker. The breakfast offering is not very appealing, and the only gluten free option was fruit. No bacon, eggs, or potatoes, or any other hot food, and just about everything was bread or bread based. There *is* a toaster if you want your sliced bread warmed up ... This motel is close to the airport and the shuttle leaves the hotel on the hour so getting to and from is easy and convenient. The desk folks were attentive and helpful I cannot help thinking that we would have been better off eschewing expedia in favor of direct booking, even with the added expense. I would stay here again for the convenience, if I could get a decent price on the reservation, but if I had to go through expedia it would be a hard pass.

After reading reviews, I was super sketched out about staying here. However, the room was super clean! The bed was super comfortable and the shower was amazing. We only needed a place close by the airport to make a 5am flight and it was perfect for that. I’m assuming they’re remodeling and we happened to get a good room.

It’s a great place for airport stop over or waiting to catch a flight especially for a price. I’m impressed that it is super clean and professional staff. The neighborhood is not that safe but they keep the facility well maintained and secured. Thank you Surestay.

I was so incredibly concerned after reading all the other reviews. I was almost in tears thinking that this would be a horrible place. HOWEVER it’s FAR from the truth!! I truly think that some of the other reviews are exaggerated. Yea it’s not in an upscale neighborhood but it’s not a bad neighborhood. It’s a typical urban neighborhood where there are warehouses and auto dealers. The local Circle K did have a pan handler, but so what?! He was harmless and the people who worked there are super friendly! The hotel itself is a rose! They have taken care to ensure that guests are safe and have the best comfort. The beds are wonderful with soft pillows. The TV is excellent! There is a refrigerator and microwave. Breakfast was wonderful!! The pool was clean and very fun! I remember staying here about 6 years ago. They have done lots of improvements with a nice central area of cactus landscaping. You are completely safe to park your car as the parking is right in front of your room and away from the street. The staff is 5 Star All The Way!! Holy Cow! Everyone from housekeeping to front desk are super friendly and honestly work so hard to help their patrons! I expect nothing less from our friendly AZ residents, but it’s always a welcome 🙏🏻. The breakfast has toast, muffins, cereal, coffee, juice, fruit, and oatmeal. It’s great to fill you up! I also wamt to mention that this place is pet friendly- so you don’t have to leave your paw-kids at home! The ax blows cold so they are comfortable in the rooms. There was no damage in our room and the room was very clean! I would definitely stay here again! You can’t beat the price and the accommodations are great for the price! A nice gem by the airport.

We made a reservation weeks ago at this hotel. We are seeing a comedy show across the street as part of our wedding anniversary date night and wanted to be able to stay out after the show and celebrate. The NIGHT before check-in day, we got an automated text message stating that we cannot stay there and our reservation would be canceled. The reason given is because our address is within 40 miles of the hotel... You ever hear of a company that refuses money from people based on where they live? That's locationist! I'm just trying to have a good night, it's almost Christmas time! Somebody get these people out of here!

  • 1/5 Jayce G. 3 months ago on Google New
This hotel will not let anyone with a mailing address within a 40 mile radius of the hotel, stay there. This policy is not listed ANYWHERE during booking, even though the address & zip code was provided. I live in Florida half the year and was turned away at the desk at 1:00am following my flight simply because I have an Arizona driving license. Looking back at previous reviews, this has obviously been a problem for a long time. The responses from the owners make it clear they DO NOT CARE since nothing has changed. The policy is still nowhere to be found prior to booking. Their apologies mean nothing at all.

DO NO STAY HERE!!! I Booked this hotel in advance and asked for a non smoking room. We got to the hotel to check in and saw two people on the balcony smoking from a glass pipe. Checked in and went to the room, it smelled like smoke and one of the bed frames was so delapadated it would move as if it was ready to collapse. The door to our room had a two inch gap at the bottom. I talked to the worker at the front desk about the smell in our room, they sprayed a chemical in the room which triggered my daughter's asthma. I tried to talk to the front desk staff again and was told there was nothing they could do about it. We were forced to find another room in the area. I tried cancelling the room and was charged for a one night stay. I was told the manager had left for the day and could not help me. I was told to call the next day. I called on Saturday 8/19/23 and was told they were not in until Monday and needed to call then. I called Monday 8/21/23 and was told the manager had stepped off properly and couldn't be reached. I was told to email the manager because they would not call me back. I have emailed and I haven't received a call or email back. They call this a hotel but it's a motel in a very bad area. For the extra 30 dollars just stay at the Hilton Garden inn which is down the street which is in a better and safer location.

Room was great BUT, no hot breakfast! Area is as shady as it gets. Creepy people everywhere, just a bad neighborhood. Was not worth it. Pay extra to stay at The Vib by Best Western. I think my room may have had a ghost too.

I hesitantly booked this room because I just needed it for the night before my flight and didn't care about location or condition. I was so relieved when I walked into the room. They are clean, modern and comfy! The surrounding area is not safe or clean but the hotel does a great job of keeping the property clean, secure and I felt safe once I got settled. I chose to park my vehicle at The Parking Spot 1 when I left for my flight and it only took 15 minutes to check out, park my car and get to the airport. The location is incredibly convenient!

Really like this place it's close to the airport , rooms are updated and clean, And I felt very safe there. Breakfast was pretty good, would like to see hard boiled eggs tho. For those of us who prefer some protein in the morning. Would recommend this place and have recommended this place to many friends and family.

It was great, very clean nice staff..... Only thing they charge 2.00 per page of paper if you have to print anything in the business office. That's a rip off to say the least. Should be treating guest better than that and also no meat at breakfast at all.

The room was quite comfortable, the locations wasn't in the greatest part of town but the location itself seemed quite nice. The night staff wasn't the most polite but the morning staff was very accommodating. Checked out too early to experience the breakfast but I find it interesting that their breakfast has to be consumed in a specific area that's located directly next to the check in counter.

Great inexpensive hotel located near Phoenix Skyharbor Airport. Free shuttle service to and from the airport. Staff are super friendly and helpful. The General Manager went out of her way to ensure I had a good stay. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. They do have long term parking on site also. It was $15/night and your vehicle is in a gated secure holding area. This is unlike other hotels where your car is left in the general hotel parking lot.

Nice hotel, hardwood floors which I greatly prefer. Easy, open parking and retro exterior room doors. Quick access to downtown and airport. Note that I’m here working and can’t comment on pools nor do I ever eat breakfast at hotels. Also the guys up front and housekeepers are friendly/professional.

Pro: Complimentary airport shuttle, decent breakfast choices, and renonavated room Con: I could hear upstairs guests stomping, arguing and partying late at night. It is no fault of the hotel but the wall is not soundproof at all. The front desk receptionists and breakfast attendants could be little more friendly when being asked questions.

I stayed at this property several times. Every time I return the staff is more friendly and helpful than the time before. The property is well maintained the rooms are spotless. And especially during an Arizona summer the air conditioning system is amazing!

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I arrived an hour early and they still had me checked in within 10 minutes. The room was clean and in great condition. The pool was very enjoyable especially when it was 104 at 7pm. I stayed in the jacuzzi tub room which was very nice and at a very reasonable rate. Some reviews will say it's in a rough neighborhood but my husband and I didn't experience any problems. The property was well lit and has cameras everywhere, besides we're from Compton so I guess "rough neighborhood" is relative lol. I would totally stay here again.

I would give them a 5 but a 3 for a 2 star hotel should say it all. I have stayed there 3-4 times a year since 2005 and I see constant improvement. I now feel completely safe. The rooms are fresh, the beds are comfortable and the pillows are not overlooked for replacement. The staff dresses like professionals and perform that way. Hats off to the management.

The room was clean and comfortable. We left our car there and used shuttle to airport. Price very reasonable. It was easy when we got back to airport after 7 day stay, to get shuttle back to get car. Will use again when necessary, thank you.

Mike at the front desk was very helpful when I checked in and out the next day. I gave my visit 5 stars because they provided a clean, pleasant environment prior to my early flight out the next morning with no hassles and kind service. I have been between homes for the last several weeks and I'm tired of traveling and Mike treated me like a dearly loved family member and it was so nice, Thank you for the great service! I gave Location: 4 stars because I hadn't realized the hotel was on the other side of the airport from my son's home in Tempe, AZ. His house is only a few minutes from the airport, yet since I was taking an early flight out, I chose to stay at a hotel with a shuttle to the airport. It took at least 20-30 minutes for my son to drive me to the hotel from his house. Only con with my stay: the shuttle is hourly (I thought it would be 1/2 hour runs to the airport) or as needed.

Much better than I expected when I drove up. The rooms were very decent. The service was very accommodating. The area and the outside of the hotel gave me pause but we stayed anyway and had no issues. The parking lot was well lit and safe.

Clean rooms (black light passed) and friendly staff. Not the nicest neighborhood but certainly the best nights rest our family of 5 have gotten on the road so far. Worlds better than even the Best western executive plus in Albuquerque. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.

I stayed here using the "sleep park and fly program." I slept there at the beginning of my trip and at the end. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms are clean. They have a nice continental breakfast with many choices. Service was good. I was able to get a free shuttle from the Motel to the airport and back to the Motel at the end of my trip. I felt my car was very safe as it was in a secured, gated area with security cameras. I was gone for approximately 2 weeks. Highly recommend and I would use them again.

I was on a flight that was redirected from my final destination to Phoenix arriving in Phoenix after midnight and with a flight leaving at 10am that morning. I wanted a room to sleep in, instead of the airport but to be honest I am not sure I would stay here again if I was in the exact same situation. I might instead choose to stay in the airport but more likely I would choose to pay a little more and stay somewhere else. The hardest part is when you expect to arrive home and are so exhausted all you want is a good bed to sleep in and attempt to relax and feel better after being delayed. The bed was so bad that every time one of us moved it completely woke up the other because it was so loud. The room in general was also very loud and we had put on white noise all in hope of having a good nights sleep. The breakfast offered was pretty poor as well although this was not a reason we had chosen this motel. The breakfast had unripe fruit, stale baked goods, and not a lot of selection. The positives were that you take the airport shuttle from the airport to the hotel which goes every 15 minutes. This was a really nice situation which made getting to the hotel easy. The shuttle leaves the hotel every hour on the hour which was fine for us to get to the airport. The staff was also very helpful in getting us checked in when we were just so exhausted and handled multiple people calling trying to get a hotel. The rooms were also very clean and they had plenty of shampoo/conditioner to refresh ourselves when we did not have our bags. I feel the need to also say I normally stay in Motel 6s and I am perfectly happy with those hotels. I know I was much more exhausted/tired/frustrated than any normal situation but I think it is still worthwhile to share these thoughts and help someone else who has been redirected to the Phoenix airport and is looking for a place to crash, this is NOT the place.

Is one of the worst Best Westerns I have stayed in. The main problem is the location and the noise with the airport of course but also the trains running through the night honking their horns plus all the cars alarms going on and off in the car park. So if you are a light sleeper you might want to avoid this place. Best Western also have one downtown. Rooms are very old and need a refresh I have just come from a long stay with Best Western in Boulder City Nevada and it makes that look like a five star.

Traveled from the east coast, this hotel is very well kept up, the staff is friendly, lighting & security is excellent. The entire facility interior and exterior is updated and modern. Im definitely returning to this hotel..... yes the part of town is a little strange, but simply rent a car or ride a scooter off the grounds, the hotel property has no issues with loitering or problematic people, you can and will feel safe here.

Upon learning my flight was cancelled, Surestay was the only place out of four that answered my call from the information booth at Sky Harbour airport in Phoenix. The staff was friendly and accommodating. When I arrived courtesy of a free shuttle, I was directed to my room, which was clean and quiet. It was no less a room than places that cost triple the price. While the location was not pristine, I think the facility did the best in controlling what they could. I'd stay there again.

I don't know why this place has such bad reviews! As someone's who's traveled to 26 countries I can tell you this place is actually really nice for the price. It was clean. Next to the airport. Quick bus ride to downtown. Everything you need for a few days stay. The girl at the front desk is blah but nothing to bad. The area seems sketch but you're fine. Just a homeless shelter near by. I had 0 issues walking around. More cat calls from cars then anything. I'd totally stay here again

This is a budget motel, with great value for the price. The king room was spacious and clean, crisp white sheets and good lighting. They remodel most of the room, but the tub/toilet room still needed some attention. The night clerk Tony was very helpful when I called to say we'd be arriving at 2a! They offer a free shuttle to/from the airport. The breakfast was decent - breads, bagels, donuts, cereal, yogurt machine, fresh fruit and morning drinks. The location wasn't the best, and probably would not stay there if I was traveling alone, although the outdoor area and parking lot was well lit. Otherwise, it worked for a last minute need.

Got a king/smoking room and was surprised with a free upgrade to a hot tub king/smoking room. Everything was very clean, minus some ash stains on my sheets but it’s a smoking room so I wasn’t bothered. The only real issue with the room was that I wish there was a drain on the floor so the water didn’t pool. Front staff were very helpful, offered me a free shuttle to the airport which I didn’t even know was an offer. Lobby also got me some silverware late at night when I needed some for my room. Pool was very clean and well kept, went up to 8 feet which was really nice. Lastly it was super close to the airport, which had direct free light rail transit to the greyhound stop at the 44th st station. It’s not in a ritzy part of town but that’s not what I needed! Over all I had a great experience here, the price was amazing for everything I got (airbnbs were 120 for a night will a pool! 😱). Highly recommend for those on a budget.

12 hours before my husband and 8 year old son were going to be staying there to try and sleep before the next flight they canceled because we have AZ phone numbers and they won’t let you stay there if you are within 40miles. However, my husband hasn’t lived there in over 10 years, we are military and we live in Hawaii. They were not at all willing to help us fix this, nor would they answer the phone again once I called and asked to speak to a manager. So not military friendly and terrible service.
