This place is a circus, stay away. Very basic 1990's style rooms really just a trucks top. No fridge, just a bed towels and bar of soap. Crackheads and vagrants in carpark, roaches in the room really bad part of town. Was woken up by reception asked to 'take my phone off the hook to for testing' at 330Am..? Sketchy people talking and waking past all night. Door knocks Right on the flight path so very noisy. Had some random person open my door with their key card. At reception overheard a woman had her & child's clothing stolen from the laundry. Restaurant bar, stood there for 15 min (no exaggeration) waiting for a 'menu and beer' lady was out the back kneeling down with some dude..? Have been in many motels all over the world and in my opinion this needs to be bulldozed. Security guard seemed nice but hung at reception chatting each time I saw him Stay away!

I've been going to this Motel off & on for the past couple of years! What I can appreciate is you are able to stay for 21 days with out checking out if rooms are available! Also there is security and no guests after ten pm. I have also tried a few items from the menu, I recommend the club cheese burger it's so yummy! I love the waffle combo, and the bloody Mary with pickled vodka is a delicious hang over cure! The front desk is great with honoring price matching, house keeping does a great job cleaning the rooms, though usually spread a little thin , they have aways accommodated my needs. The building is older & so I have seen some creepy crawlers from time to time. The location is close to downtown phx ! There are a few options aside from the restaurant to eat in the surrounding area, the staff has treated me well thus far. I would recommend this motel even if your not a trucker

Have stayed in the past, with no issues. In fact the last time, i was very impressed with the staff. This time however, the housekeeper that comes to check if you're staying was incredibly rude, after paying to extend, suddenly they decided that we couldn't stay because of "past problems" Did not say what those could be, other than " owed four nights rent" there weren't any unpaid nights, in fact, that's not possible since if you don't pay, you have to leave. There are no pay later options. Ever. Also, we paid a pet deposit to the night guy, and he never put it on our room. As if we never paid. The parking lot abuts onto a McDonald's, and it's right on the on ramp to the freeway, which seems to attract people who are less than sober. Which means every time you go anywhere, you're asked for something. Drugs, money, cigarettes. The security , btw, is great, they are respectful, keep people who aren't staying there off the property, and do it in a humane and compassionate manner. They can't do anything about the mcd's lot though. Not their fault. The rooms were clean, if worn, no complaints there. The restaurant only serves breakfast and lunch, closing at one i believe, in the evenings it turns to a lounge. Dinner options are limited on propert. They do have vending machines, and on site laundry. The price is just about as cheap as you can get in town. Overall, it was a totally different experience than the last two times we stayed, for the worse, and won't be considering it again.

Even though there was a lot going on around the area. The staff was amazing. The restaurant connected to it was clean and amazing. Yes there is a lot of homelessness going on around there as well as drugs but it did not affect us. We still had a great stay. we only saw one roach. The floor was dirty as well as the nightstands and the table. Also, a dirty wash cloth was left behind from a previous stay. But the bed seemed very clean! We slept good. We went and got cleaning supplies and bug spray and made the room work for us. Again, we still had a really good stay.

I stayed here for several a week and a half when I was homeless and while there's nothing particularly noteworthy to say about the motel, there isn't anything negative either. They do all the normal things that a hotel would, like provide towels and clean your room and while the cleanup job is not the best I'd say, they don't have carpet so you're not worried about what's crawling around in it lol. They're also pet friendly which came at a time when by really needed it because I have a cat and a dog. They don't offer room service but when they do offer is a great restaurant. Country boys, the restaurant next door is absolutely phenomenal and I highly recommend it if you do stay here. This motel came at a time when I was really struggling and I will be forever grateful for their extremely low rates and availability. Can't say enough about this place!!

Really sketchy people hanging around the moment we arrived. Cries of some homeless person being roughed up at night. Rust and cockroaches in the bathroom. Really dirty carpet. No coffee in the room. No free wifi. The place is just a truck stop masquerading as a motel.

First off we came as a family we got two rooms so we didn't hear complaints about to many inn one room, well they gave me a room far away from rest my family we had to split up. The rooms were not clean and the beds were horrible make Sure to take you're own blankets because you get only a sheet. The service was rude. When asked for a room next to my husband an half the kids they said no but yet the room was available. The women at night shift are very rude if you're Hispanic I noticed because I had to help translate for them for a group. And when I asked the lady in the morning if she spoke any Spanish she said yes but chose not to use it because it's exhausting like how rude and selfish of her to make them struggle at speaking when she knew how to speak to them. The restaurant bar is kid friendly and the staff there was very nice and friendly prices were okay. The pool area was clean and nice size the Jacuzzi didn't work. Lots of truckers and homeless around this place. I'd definitely pay the extra money somewhere else next time.

Even for less than a hundred dollars a night this motel is not worth the money. There was food smeared on the table surfaces instead of being wiped up. The room had several suspect bugs flying and roaming. The sink would not shut off and ran water the entire time I was there. Of the four available electrical plugs only one worked; the others all moved within the wall recess when attempting to plug in. The room suffered general uncleanliness, was badly outdated, and barely acceptable for solo travel. There is just no way that I could justify any recommendation at all.

Disgusting!! Room dirty, old, falling apart. Carpet extra dirty, stains everywhere. Not even a microwave and fridge available in the room to keep your food. Once in the facility ira scary, you literally feel like you're in the hood, in a ghetto. They do have hot water and good a/c.

Stayed here for 4 nights. The location is close to plenty of restaurants nearby, less than 10 minutes from the airport and Downtown Phoenix. Everything worked properly and I was satisfied. There's no microwave, refrigerator, or iron which wasn't a big deal for me but another reason its affordable. The staff were very nice and helpful during my stay. I would come back again.

First of all the am shift is very rude the blonde is dumb as rocks which she said to be the manager . The housekeepers are slow moving time milking drug using most of them, they close them selves in the rooms smoke drugs for hours no supervision, check in is at 3pm not a one room ready for the last couple weeks . The rooms have roaches , some even have had bed bugs which they do nothing to get ride of but bomb with the roach stuff leaving the bed bugs to move on to the rooms nearest , lots of homeless pill smoking people roaming around staying under the stairs with all there belonging dirty dirty place all the way around .. truth

Hello, well, I tell you about my experience and the motel, the attention at the reception was good and the room is large, the sheets and the bathroom were clean, it did not smell of cigarettes, but the floor? the carpet is very dirty and sticky in my opinion they should change it otherwise it's not bad just the carpet ๐Ÿ˜•

Great truck driver rates! Lots of truck parking! Easy on and off the freeway! Now the bad news, it's a very bad area around the hotel, I didn't feel too safe, homeless people and other trashy people hanging around outside the hotel. Get in the room and it smells like mold. I didn't enjoy my stay but it was convenient and cheap so I might stay there again.

Only bad part are the transients smoking pills ๐Ÿคฎon the steps and in the laundry room where it looked like they were also stealing ice๐Ÿ˜ณ from the ice maker, filling up a very large garbage can. The room was adequate and clean and actually had a flat screen TV.๐Ÿ™

I checked in at check in time at 10 pm. The room was ok but I have sleeping issues and wear earplugs to sleep, at about 2:30 am I hear someone open my door with a key card and see them walk in and it was the security guard telling me oh we did not know anyone was in here and I was shocked and scared,I called the hotel staff and the rep said sorry we just did not know someone was there and I complained and she said the manager would know about it in the morning, I go to check out the next morning and the manager had a terrible additive to everyone and seemed like she was tired of working there, I give her my key card and I ask her you probably know what happened to me last night and she just looks at the computer and shakes her head no, so I tell her what happened and she did not even apologize she just said "I don't know how you got this key card but it was suppose to be a bus drivers and he reported the the hotel i was in there, and thats why the gurad came in the room, i told her this scared me and I did not ffel safe tbe rest of the night and she just said your lucky thr bus driver did not go in, and i said no you guys are lucky becuse you guys gave me the keycard, I then said tbis was not my fault and she said im not going to argue with you and started helping the other customer after me and I asked are we done and she said yes, I then said I'm going to leave a bad review and she totally ignored me. All I know is at 2:30 am a guard entered my room without knocking and ruined my stay and she could even say sorry.

Ok, so it isn't the most elegant hotel, but the people working here are truly amazing. Not only is everyone friendly and considerate, they are this way even when they are slammed with guests. The property is older, but don't let that fool you, the staff takes incredible steps to keep this property near and clean. I mean it. When they service the rooms they go over everything to insure it meets their high standards. Being near the freeway it's still peaceful and mostly quiet. One other item is the adjacent restaurant, definitely worth a stop in. Not only is it affordable, but the food is excellent and large portions!

We had to clean and sweep our room because they only clean rooms once a week. Instead of cleaning the customers rooms first; they do rooms that were checked first. That goes for changing your linens n bedding too. We are clean people and we treated our room as though it was our place. 3 weeks chasing down the cleaning lady just to get clean towels, linens and the vacuum. The carpet is nasty and they need to be shampoo n disinfected. Was exhausted and we are disable. Good price but a bad stay.

Hello, I said my review was subject to change after my 6 day stay, the first review I gave was on my very first day of arrival. I gave 3 out of 5 stars because as I wrote on my first day I had a young lady walk into my room whom proclaimed to have been my roommate and was able to add her name on to my booking just like that. Meaning no hassle. That same very night a guy in room 310 screamed and beat the walls all night long about being robbed however I called into the front lobby asked that they would make him stop after about 5 hours of hearing it. They quickly sent a security guard who got the job done. My stay for the next 5 nights were great! Well I got rest I can say I didn't have any stolen items. The room was clean when I arrived my biggest appreciation was the clean shower and tub water with great pressure. The rooms need to be updated father more it has 1950 box tvs in the section of room I stayed in. Pretty noisy in that area as well. To conclude the whole 6 days it's was a place to sleep if you are in need I would recommend it. Other then that I can also add that my room had no bugs. I'd like to thank motel EZ8 for having me!

-10 * Do Not Waste Your Money, This place will rip you off. The 2 ladies (one a manager) and a male coworker, stole my money and refused to give it back after I've been there an hour and wanted to leave. THUMBS DOWN!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

I felt for $115 this room, even on the weekend, was highly overcharged. The coke machine by the pool wouldn't take dollars, quarters or any other physical currency. The motel was quiet, however, security guards were entering guest rooms between 2 and 3 in the morning. I just wasn't very pleased with the cost versus benefit analysis.

I made a reservation for my partner and I a little more than a month in advance, upon arrival I was told that our reservation had been cancelled a few hours before we were trying to check in. They were apparently completely booked and so was every other hotel/motel in the area. Keep in mind I called at the time of making the reservation that we was okay to arrive at 1am and took into account the previous day. We got there after a long day of travel and ended up staying in the lobby for an hour trying to find another place to stay for our trip because we had planned to just Uber. The affordable trip that we had been looking forward to and planned months in advanced turned into something $300 more expensive. The receptionist was nice, but the entire experience was less than pleasant.

Problems began with our arrival about 3pm. We had a reservation, but were told it would be 30-45 minutes until it was ready. While waiting others came in & were given a room. At 4:30, we got on line & were given a room. The room non-smoking room reeked of smoke. The room only had truck parking in front of it. My husband has COPD & balance problems; car parking was 8 rooms away. The manager would not make an exception & said car would be towed if we parked in front of room. We used Booking.com for the reservations. Manager said she would call her boss. She called Booking. (At checkout, I picked up a card for the general manager-her real boss.) The person could not help. Other cars were also parked in truck only spots. I moved the car. In the morning, other cars were still there; one had a notice. I spoke with manager in the morning & asked why she allowed them to park. I was told guests were notified. She refused to answer when I asked how long they were allowed to stay after notification. The refrigerator in room had several items in it. I was told someone would come to clean it. No one came. When I asked manager about this, she said she had told someone. Later in the conversation, she said housekeeping left at 4:30. I was not told this when I called front desk. (At the time I called fro t desk, there were two employees plus the manager working.) She stated she has been on the job 3 weeks & had hired 15 housekeeping staff, but only 2 remained. That makes me wonder what else had not been properly cleaned. The location near the interstate and airport is not ideal, but my husband & I were not kept awake by this. We were offered a refund, which I declined. She also stated we would not be allowed to stay there in the future. I assured her that this would not would nit be a problem as we would never stay here again.

Slow service, I can handle. Mystery stains on the walkways, sure. Roaches, however, is where I draw the line. And the service proved so slow it wasnโ€™t even worth fighting for a refund. Do yourselves a favor, spend a few more bucks for someplace cleaner.

I understand that it was a little bit more shady part of town buy the restrictions on your room and visiting is unbelievable. It's a 'one strike, and we throw you out and keep your money's rule. What if a cab was for me? Or Uber Eats?

Clean, quiet rooms. Moderatly priced. Friendly staff. X-large truck parking. Conveniently located next to the I-17. Gasoline and fast food are located nearby. Pool on site. I definitely recommend the E-Z 8 Motel.

I was a bit skeptic at the beginning, but the ste stay turned out pretty good. The staff is very helpful and so kind, the little girl with curly hair, she was very helpful extremely kind. Altogether its the staff that gets this place 5 star. The location is good. There is a mexican place across the street, great food.

Stayed here a few nights while Phillies were playing DiamondBacks! Nice spot for the weekend. 5 minutes from downtown, and some local restaurants in the area, so the motel is in a convenient location. The staff at the front desk made everything easy, they were kind and helpful with information about the city. Even on a busy weekend, there wasnโ€™t much of a wait to get into my room as early as I needed to. Pretty comfortable room, and clean overall. There are some looney locals in the area but the motel had a security guard on-site doing regular patrols. Wi-Fi isnโ€™t the best, probably just the area. The local restaurant next door makes a great breakfast, something to look forward to๐Ÿ˜‰

  • 3/5 Anthony C. 1 year ago on Google
Pros: Decent customer service and cool restaurant attached. Best price point youโ€™ll find in the area by far. McDonaldโ€™s next door. Rooms are reasonably clean. Cons: Pool looks fine but they said itโ€™s closed. They canceled my reservation without notice because I arrived after 8pm and I had to wait for the receptionist to find me a new room after initially being told they had no more vacancies. Itโ€™s ok if youโ€™re fine with being near the freeway and hearing planes taking off and trains sometimes.

This motel is pretty good, they have nice people who work there I would recommend people to stay there. One of the good things is that you have a circle k half a mile away, you also have a Nirvana Dispensery across from circle k . You have a few restaurants near you so that's even better

Aside from the ice machine breaking down towards the end of my stay, I can't complain. I loved the staff and they were so patient with me being in the office all the time because I kept demagnetizing my key. It's a lot nicer than what you might initially think... I'd stay again

The person who checked is in was courtesy. Was able to give us a room sooner than check in time. But the room smelled since it was a smoking room. Heard housekeeper use profanity. And alot of homeless people at night.

  • 3/5 Stephen B. 2 years ago on Google
Not too expensive and the room was pretty clean. The overall neighborhood and fellow guests offered a real sense of caution to my friends, but if you know the area, you know to mind yourself and just relax. Good place to stay if your low on funds and don't mind a bit of excitement where the general location of this place offers.

This a truckers motel (there is a trucker discount with your cdl only as a walk-in), non-cdl ppl are welcome as well. The non-smoking rooms are ok and clean. Remember you pay for what you get. This place is a deal but donโ€™t expect a 4 star hotel. Thereโ€™s a bar n grill on site that serves decent food. Ask for a coupon and the specials. The staff are either nice or great. If your planning to stay and extra night, pay before checkout or their going to make you leave and come back at 3pm. Their serious about that. I gave it 3 stars instead of 5 stars cuz it is what is.

It's a decent hotel...the area gives it a ding...the police presence and transients are noticeable. Otherwise the room is clean, bed is comfortable. There is McDonald's and Taco Bell right outside. There is also a bar/ restaurant on site. CDL discount brought price to $45...great price for the digs!

Quiet. Clean; I only saw a couple of ants in the bathroom. Micro/fridge. Stayed for 4nights this round. McD's, Taco Bell, & restaurant within walking distance. Close to the freeway. Truckers have plenty of space to park their rigs. Staff is cool. Slow getting in.

  • 4/5 Robert H. 2 years ago on Google
The bed is really comfortable. And.... that is pretty much the most important part of a motel room. Nice sized room and they even brought a mini fridge over for us to use. My only complaint is the lurking peeps hanging out in the stairway. I have run across them pretty much every day that we have been staying here. They are using drugs and leaving foil and trash lying around. Security is doing the best they can. These people are everywhere. Its a shame

For the most part, my stay was nice. The room was clean, smelled, felt and looked clean. It could use a few updates but all I needed was a clean bed. The front desk woman was helpful and so was the manager. No complaints there. The people around are a different story. It reminded me when I lived in the ghetto in CA. People everywhere walking around, talking loudly outside the door. The planes flying overhead were quiet compared to those on the premises. I don't understand the armed security there when all the blonde man did was stay in the lobby. I didnt appreciate being approached several times being asked for money. Too many weird men for me to be comfortable. I did like the clean beds and room. That was great because its all i needed. If im ever in the area again, I would give it one more chance despite the reviews.

I would of given it a 5 star rating but after today it's not even one star. The day mngr made me check out because I showed up at 12 not 11 to pay another night. I'm 4mnths pregnant have a 4 yr old who is sick with a high fever and I pretty much begged her to allow this one time mistake and she said nope u need to check out. I asked to get another room and her employee said nothing available until 3 so u still need to check out. This was wrong in every way we are very quiet respectful people who got treated wrong for no reason. I had my sick baby out in the heat for 3 hrs before I found a spot. Sad part I had no choice but to get another room here. My baby is to sick for me to care about my pride. Thank God second and third shift are friendly good staff..

I really enjoy this place not as bad as some make it out to seem one of my favorites honestly. The shadiest management in the business. I came on a Monday night for their low fares of $60. The next morning, I added 2 more nights for a total of 3 nights. $97 extra for the 2 more nights I thought was a deal. After my second night, my key card was not working. I go to the front desk and John on of the manager that I recognized from managing EZ8 on 7th Street, nonchalantly renewed my key. Next thing I know, he's gone and a new manager came to my room and told me to vacate because I only paid for one extra night and that I was charged $97 because on the number of beds in the room that could fit 4 people. Something never talked about. Besides, wouldn't I had to register the 3 other people I was charged for? You must declare dogs so was is up? The only reason I picked the room is because it was the only room available and it was cheap! Never intended to have any one but me. All I'm saying is read the fine print as that's how you get charged 97 for a room that advertises $60. I will never go back there as this is the second horrible experience I had with John who runs both hotels. Next time, I'll pay the higher price just to never be bamboozled like this again. Also, in both hotels, there is this smell like a person died in the room recently. You'll know what I mean if you ever get there. READ THE FINE PRINT WHEN SIGNING YOUR PAPERS! THEY WILL TRY TO ROB YOU AT EVERY TURN.

I got what I paid for honestly. Was just looking for a place to crash that had a toilet, shower, bed, and AC. Got just that and it even had TV! The place wasn't dirty. Only saw one crackhead roaming around, prob from the McDonald's across the parking lot. We were on the side with the trucker parking...kinda made me feel safer actually. The place was dirt cheap, quick check in and out. No issues!Super cold AC to boot!

"Nonsmoking" rooms smelt like smoke. There were stains on the bed sheets. The room was super old and not well maintained. Location was good as it was right near downtown. The pool was good. The service unfortunately was not the best either. They were unprofessional and unorganized.

This place doesn't even deserve 1 star. Cockroaches in the room. The sewage coming out of the tub in room 455. When we checked in it was not the best place but for the price I guess it's what i get especially that it is superbowl weekend. Obviously I made a bad choice to stay here. I did report this to the front office lady Alice and she didn't even attempt to make any corrections or move me into another room.
