We stayed here due to a cancelled flight. Upon arrival, we were told that the airline overbooked the hotel, but they had one room available. They provided contact for a cab company that gave a discount for their customers, provided directions to the local stores and eateries, walked us to our room and made sure everything was clean and stocked, and then walked us to the breakfast room to pick out some food for the morning, because of our early checkout. The room was clean and spacious, and had a microwave and mini fridge. I have never been to a place with this level of service and employees who truly wanted your stay to be comfortable. It honestly isn’t the most beautiful hotel, but the service and care is top notch, and I bet the aesthetics will follow as they continue to serve their customers so very well. I would definitely stay here again if I’m the area and in need. Even my bougie wife was impressed, which is saying a lot.

Excellent customer service. This rating is based solely on how communicative, kind, and helpful the service was. You can tell the management wants their guests to feel welcomed and comfortable, checking in to make sure everything is going smoothly or asking if we need anything extra. There are a few updates the building itself needs but from the looks of the pictures here on google and the actual rooms you can tell they’re getting to it.

On what could only be described as one of the hardest days I have had to face, the staff was so accomodating, warm, kind, and loving. I even got hugs when I broke down. The bed was one of the most comfortable, and the bathroom was spotless. I usually can't sleep well my first night in a motel. I was out like a light by 7:30😴 I wish I could give them more stars. They deserve it❤ I will definitely stay here in the future, and recommend Sovana Inn to anyone who asks.

Imagine this; your mom dies suddenly & unexpectedly. You drop everything to drive up from California to handle affairs and discover that there is a country music festival in town that weekend and every motel & hotel room in the city is booked up. Thats the situation my wife and i were in. Out of options we were almost forced to sleep in our car for two days. We found this place, after hours, and the manager was our lifesaver. He explained to us that he had one room available that he couldn't rent since the shower was broken. We explained that we just needed a bed and he opened up the lobby for us, and even rented us the room for two nights at a discount. When he found out the reason for our situation he even gave me a hug, which i needed. The world needs more people like this.

Avoid. The room keycard kept failing. On the second night there was no one around to help so I had to pay to check in somewhere else. No manager the next morning either and when I emailed to complain i got a bounceback. Complete waste of money

Great location, excellent service and breakfast. I think it's the best inn we have stayed so far!

I've booked more than 20 hotels in the last 2 years. I've never seen reception more frindly and informative than this motel! 1 night stay with family. Room was clean enough but pool was not! So totally useless for us. A/C worked well in a hot summer day. Breakfast was very simple and basic. Location was very convenient with grocery (Winco, 24/7), restaurants and gas just in few min walk or drive.

Although the front office guy was very accommodating, the other grounds guy very helpful, and the room looked visually clean, however; the floors were very dirty. The bottom of my feet and wet towels thrown on the floor turned black. Ugh! Refrigerator door did not stay closed right. There were alot of places to eat nearby with markets/drugstore, however the parking lot was very small with a few homeless people wandering through.

Our stay was great! The manager was extremely kind, welcoming, and communicative. It is clear that he cares about his guests and wants them to feel welcomed and comfortable. We arrived late at night and received detailed instructions beforehand on how to check in late. The room was clean and comfortable, and they had continental breakfast in the morning. Would definitely stay here again!

This appears to be an old chain hotel. I like how the desk agent was so friendly and personable. He not only gave recommendations for an early evening activity but also gave us dinner suggestions to a nearby Mexican restaurant that provided a discount to the guests. The rooms were a little dated, but they weren't bad by any means. Television, DirectTV, in room coffee, fridge, and microwave all standard. The morning breakfast was nice, too. Not a hot breakfast, but a lot of choices. They even have an outdoor pool, but be prepared... it isn't heated. But it feels amazing on the hot summer days.

The rooms and beds were clean and had basic facilities like air conditioner, fridge and even a microwave. They even serve free breakfast that included fresh fruits and bagel. The owner Fernando, was one of the nicest and friendliest people we met.

I was just expecting to get a hotel room for the night due to the snow storms blocking the roads to my hometown. I don’t know this area at all and I was scared because I arrived so late but the front desk were the most helpful and made sure me and my sister made it there safe and made sure we were taken care of. I’ve never experienced such friendly customer service and everyone on the property is so kind and helpful!! The room was already warm when we walked in and there was a tv and fridge which was needed. I would 10/10 recommend this hotel to all my friends! Great price and wonderful experience!! Thank you Brian!’

I needed a basic, no-frills motel room and picked Sovana Inn for its price & proximity to restaurants. But what really set this place apart for me was the customer service! Fernando was extremely nice & made sure I had everything I needed. If I have the opportunity, I will stay here again!

It's not at all what it looks like in pictures. There construction in many rooms. The area isn't to safe. The employees are good guys. Just the second floor door handle to swipe key was out of batteries we had to switch rooms to lower floor. No towels and the TV had issues couldn't turn on.no phone to call for service and the walls are paper thin heard everything from on top room😩..not recommended for family. If anything just a quick emergency sleep.

We booked our stay on Hotwire, which has never steered is wrong in the past but this time it was way off. Hotwire had it listed as a 4 star rating, but I'm so confused how this place could have received such high ratings from other users since it was quite run down. The staff is outrageously kind and professional, but the place itself is pretty gross. I can tell that the management is trying to make updates, but there's still a sense of overall ick factor that needs to be sorted out. I couldn't get an accurate picture of the stains covering the the bed linens, but you can see in the pictures included that the shower features were all banged up and dirty. Also, what was growing on the walls in that pool? The only word I can think to describe what's happening on the nightstand is "janky." It seems like it's pretty par compared to the other hotels in Medford, but definitely would not rate it 4.2 stars like the Hotwire users did.

Brian at the front desk was so nice and helpful! Rooms are extremely clean with comfortable beds, very quiet. Breakfast had muffins, bagels, etc. Didn’t swim in the pool but it was also very clean. Will definitely stay here again!

Extremely friendly and great people running this place. However, my room had a bleach smell to it, felt like the photos were not too accurate, my shower did not drain well, and the bed was sub par. For the price you get what you get. But Bryan and Fernando were very welcoming and friendly.

Please do not let the outside fool you. Fernando, and his brother have taken on the responsibility of a renovation. The service is excellent, the rooms are clean, and Fernando is a delightful conversation. Even being located on a main road, it is does not disturb your sleep.

This nice small hotel was super clean and comfortable! The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Great stay for a great price. Highly recommend. We got a discount at a nearby restaurant as well for staying here.

I had an awesome stay! Fernando at the front desk was very very kind and accommodating. Rooms were clean and there were lots of food options nearby. A great overnight option to consider when in Medford 👍

This was a great 2 star property for a quick overnight stay while traveling back to CA. I called in the evening to assure front desk we'd be arriving at 9:30 PM. They are staffed til 10 pm for check in. Brian was very helpful when he checked us in. We chatted for some time about various things. I love that it is a small business and is a lot more personable. The next morning I went to the breakfast area to get some fruit and tea. I was pleasantly surprised and greeted by first name by Fernando, I believe the owner, when I was walking outside. Despite this being an older property, the rooms have been upgraded and the place is kept clean. The bathroom was simple and clean, with auto dispensers with soaps and lotion. Our room had a coffee maker and mini refrigerator which we did not use or need. The bed itself was comfortable. I did notice the room next door was getting remodeled. When I talked to Fernando, he mentioned that all rooms will have Pergo laminate flooring instead of carpet. I felt that the carpet in our room was immaculate but laminate flooring is even better! The continental breakfast was simple and perfect since we didn't need much. There's coffee, tea, and the kitchen faucet is filtered for drinking only. They provide a nice bowl of whole fruits (cuties tangerine, bananas, and apples). There's also bagels, muffins and condiments. Sovana Inn was much better than the name brand 2 star motels we've stayed at in Medford! I highly recommend them.
