Lots of homeless and used needles just. Laying on the ground or in the grass where kids can easily get them or step on them. My Pitt stepped on one about 4 days ago and had to take him to the vet. Cost $850 for the visit all because of someone not caring about the public and just throwing their used needles wherever they please.

Pierce Park has so many activities! There is a play ground in sand with swings. A beautiful public pool with a deep end. 2 baseball fields. 1 cement and 2 sand volleyball courts. 2 basketball hoops. And 2 fully enclosed tennis courts. Really an awesome park.

We go there pretty much every weekend. They have a couple of baseball fields that the public can use. The fields themselves are in fairly good condition. The north field has a broken sprinkler or something that creates a huge pond, but other than that, the outfield grass is kept up. There is like a real homeless problem here and every so often you catch a smell of burning grass.

Watch where u walk... Near the tennis courts there's human feces. They've cleaned it up a lot but I feel more can be done. But the jungle gym and swing area for the kids are fine.

There are so many homeless druggies that hang around at night. You can't use the bathrooms do to the drug use and at time there are males in the women's bathroom. The day time might be different but at night it's horrible. I would never take my child to this park let alone near it. The QT beside it is just as bad.

Beautiful, serene, relaxing, kids playground is nice, bball court and tennis court, bbq pits, not a lot of sidewalk benches, still nice to throw a blanket on grass and relax.

The park was clean and not crowded. We use the large area to fly kites.

Good place to watch softball games at night. Plenty of playground equipment for children to play on.

I must of counted 23 homeless people and they took over the Ramada areas, bathrooms and the children's playground and I couldn't let my son run around or play on the slide. We left as soon as we arrived.

Okay, geographically this is located behind a gas station. It would be a good park of the homeless didn’t take it over. Must be careful on the playground because there is needles and stuff.

08/09/22 Pierce Park. Large park with a number of areas not in use at this time. The pool is not open 2021 or 2022. It may be close to 50 years old but appears to be in perfect condition. There are two sets of tennis courts. One is locked with no nets or post. The open one does not look as though it is being used. The two softball fields have many signs stating closed at this time. There are two sand volley ball courts and nets are not good. There are two concrete volleyball courts and have limited shade. The basketball court could use some attention. Two excellent woodchip playgrounds. Named Mary Moore Playground at Pierce Park.

Great park with wood chip play area. It's well lit as well. Lots of restaurants close and a Costco on the other side of Oak st. I highly recommend this park.

Accessible green oasis. Pools, gym equipment, courts and walking paths in the midst of urban Phoenix. A small oasis for this area.

It's a small Park I walk by it quite often I don't ever really spend any time in there occasionally I'll stop in and sit at one of the picnic tables to eat. But, that's about it not much to say small nice for children and families I would imagine and the neighborhood.

Picture is misleading. There is no pool. That and a lot of homeless ppl there. They will ask you for cigarettes or money or blues. They are super annoying. Smoking pills right in front of kids, no respect for the innocence a child might have.

  • 4/5 Alice R. 6 years ago on Google
Its a great park to take your kids to or take bowser to play Frizzbe. Lots of shade trees, green grass, and physical activity. There's basketball, volleyball, and tennis courts, baseball diamond and swimming pool. In addition you'll find BBQ's for family picnics and a children's play area. The park offers restrooms and water fountains but you'll have to pack your own picnic as the snack bar has closed down. Despite the occasional unfriendly park maintenance worker, its a peaceful and beautiful place to spend an afternoon.

  • 5/5 Zal Sargon (. 5 months ago on Google
I pulled in to waste an hour or two around noon time and this is one of the nice, clean and clearly maintained parks. Wasn't busy, a few dog owners and a couple families with kids. If you have time to go to the park, go here.

Since the homeless pill smokers have invaded the park bathroom facilities are non existent and one may struggle to find a Ramada to hide from the sun not full of them

Nice place to kick back and relax. Park does close so be careful that you don't stay there all night because the cops may come and bust you. Other than that it's a nice place to just sit back and relax in your car in the parking lot I see a lot of people just relaxing in the car smoking bud or whatever. Just make sure the keys are out of the ignition. And if you want to walk your dogs there's a real nice grass area. People play soccer there in a league which is lit up by the stadium lights. Don't know if you need a permit or whatever but I know they play soccer there all the time. Haven't been to the pool yet. Overall I would say it's a very nice Little gem in the middle of the city. Enjoy.

Great park with lots of open space! I was shocked that there were so few people at 10 am on a Sunday. I would have stayed longer if there was a public restroom open and available.

My employer held an event here. It was my first time here. I really enjoyed my visit. The park looked clean and very well maintained.. I’ll be visiting this park again soon..

Need more tables and or benches throughout the park to sit. Poor lighting, especially if you're a woman alone walking her dog. Needs more trash cans only found 2 without having to walk up to some random people's party to toss my cup away. Homeless are there obviously because where else are they going to go, but they're pretty chill and leave the families to their business.

What can one say? On the Westside of Pierce Park, is a new mega apartment complex...translates...mega bucks...really? Is that all they care about? Overall, the park itself has not changed in the twenty-three years I've known it, but much of the surrounding area has. They should have expanded Pierce Park territory instead of yet another apartment complex. Especially with "CAN," California, Arizona, Nevada facing an unprecedented water crisis. Never, the likes of which witnessed, since any of the three of them were acceptd into the Union...California in 1850. Where will the 'CAN,' end up? Million dollar question? No; absolutely not. Don't believe you can put a price on water falling from the clouds...in the desert...never.

Family-friendly park for people, fur babies and athletic folks of all ages. Has: picnic tables, hoops and a fairly large playground for children, of course. Adults might get strange looks going down the slide. I know I did. Bathrooms are closed after dusk. Plan accordingly if coming on the later side of the day. Didn't see any vagrants or illicit hard drugs being consumed. Doesn't mean they don't exist or aren't being taken...just means that I don't feel as if their is a large presence of it at this park. I'd bring my mom here for sure.

So this day was great we were having lunch by a childhood park we always come to visit and I never believed my son when he said money grew on trees but we came across these 1 dollars on the branches and leaves of this tree at the park we were tempted to take them off and just claim the money as ares but then we thought it was people wishes so we also decided to hang a dollar 💵 on the branches somewhere. Very interesting and cool to come across while enjoying a afternoon lunch 😊 thank you 🙂

Beautiful park that was surprisingly empty when we went there today at 5:30 pm...park was very clean as was all the play ground equipment...not even any cigarette butts...or graffiti...some people racing their RC cars but they were over in the field and wasn't disturbing at all...lots of shade and grass made for a very enjoyable afternoon....

This park has had a major upgrade and lots of playground area for the location had lots of lights at night usually some parks have little lighting but my kids loved it. It's a small location if you don't mind the size of it. My kids saw an owl that flew to one of there many trees and since then they want to go to the owl park now. This park is ideal for kids all ages mines range from 3-9 and they have a handicap swing too which is neat to see so if you have a child with special needs they can enjoy the park too.
