I just recently signed back up with Mountainside Fitness. Tina was helpful in signing me up and making sure I had the time to make sure my child was comfortable in the kid care. My biggest shout out goes to Taryn in the kid care area. She was the absolute best in helping my child to feel comfortable. She helped my child release her fear of coming in there. That's what my child said! It really was very special and you never know how much your patience and kindness can help shape and support our future kiddos. So much gratitude! ❤️ now I get mommy time with no worries! Thank you Taryn!

PLEASE replace your guys SAUNA. I love the gym but I left because the sauna was hardly ever hot. The worst sauna I have ever been in. I hear from other gym goer’s that this mountain side location (surprise) has the worst sauna out of every other one in the valley. PLEASE replace it. I am now at eos and I miss mountain side so much. Eos sauna is fine everything else mountain side takes by far …

I've been to a lot of gyms and different Mountainside locations, and this one is by far the best. The gym is always clean, the equipment is in great shape, and the staff is helpful. Perfect for the whole family.

Great variety of equipment, and the workout area has a more spacious feel than other gyms. The staff is very friendly staff and are great at remembering names. My #1 motivation to get up in the morning and head to the gym is my personal trainer, Troy, who is sincerely committed to helping me get stronger, improve my flexibility and overall health. After my workout, I head to the great massage chairs to recover. I highly recommend this gym.

Management is very deceitful, sales lady says it month by month then Manager claims That my membership is unable to be canceled only in person and when canceled in person you have to pay a fee on top of everything that wasn't mentioned in the 1st place... They make you work hard to get your money back FYI I payed 11 Payments for them to treat me like I payed enough for this place even when the were doing updates on there location. I found my own solution and didn't pay there cancelation fee

Hi!! I just moved here from California, I needed to find a new gym but kid friendly. I have had bad experiences in the past with childcare at other locations and I’ve got to say mountainside is THE BEST when it comes to childcare. My kid asks me everyday to go see Aspen. Aspen is one of the workers and she’s amazing!! If you need to find a good place to take care of your kiddos, go to mountainside and ask for Aspen!! I love her 😍😍

Welcoming staff. GREAT INSTRUCTORS. Shout out to Evenstar and London! Front desk staff gave wrong information about rock wall use—turns out kids can only go with child care, only at certain times and only for a fee. Child care is attentive and I appreciate Michaela checking in with my son about using the restroom since she knows he is potty training. So grateful for her thoughtfulness. Gabby is great at getting to know kids’ names and attentive to their needs. Glad to know my kids are having fun and cared for while I’m working out!

All I can say about my experience is WOW. What might be the reason for this you ask? Other than the obvious of the state of the art equipment, it was a very nice woman by the name of Colleen. She was so kind and helpful, gave the freshest of towels and her smoothie making? SECOND TO NONE! Associates like this will keep me coming back to get my pump on! Is there a Miss Mountside award???? If so it should be only given to her! If any mountain side management is reading this you need to give her a crisp high 5 for me and promote her immediately!!!

Kelsey B. Is the best childcare worker in the building. My girls absolutely love coming! She is attentive, kind, and treats every kiddo amazingly. My girls never want to leave. She always remembers their names and even knows what shows and toys they like. If anyone is going to watch your kiddos while you work out Kelsey is the girl for the job!

Absolutely love this gym. What makes it the best, is the child care. Each worker really takes the time to get to know your child and care for them like their own. Knowing your child is taken care of makes for a better workout. 10/10 would recommend if you have kids.

I have never been to a gym where I feel so welcomed and not judged. The staff is extremely friendly, they have a variety of machines and there's a daycare! They treat the kids with patience and kindness, my kids love going there. The classes they offer are part of the membership which is so cool. I seriously am so happy I joined this place, it's been one of the best decisions in my life. Also the gym goers keep to themselves and you don't feel like you're being judged. Will definitely recommend to everyone! The price is fair too because they offer so much and the fact I can workout for 2 hours, twice a day without worrying about my kids is such a plus!

Today is May 24, 2023 I had a wonderful workout in the fitness center and it was made all the better with help from the gentleman Stacy who helped me with the making of a smoothie drink at their wonderful refreshment bar. Stacy was a gentleman and very polite as well as nice to talk with. We ended up talking about restaurants that we would recommend to each other in town. It was a pleasure to meet Stacy and have a wonderful conversation with him and thank you for my wonderfully prepared smoothie. I’ll see you at my next workout.

Horribly ran place. By far my worst experience with any gym in any state. The basketball court is smaller than an elementary court. The staff stare at people. I informed them that I live in Seattle and only wanted a 1 month membership while in town. We agreed I can if I paid the dues of the final month. Which I did. Then they invoiced me for 6 months of services which I never agree to while I was in Seattle. Horrible facility and even worse services from the staff. They seemed desperate to charge me for another 6 months even tho I hadn’t been there in months

I had an amazing experience at this gym! I went to the gym and brought my son to the Child Care and he loved it! He keeps raving about this girl named Aspen, She must be really good at her job. I will definitely be coming back!

First, customer service is great, all around. Child care does an excellent job interacting with the kids and keeping them entertained. The workout area is not crowded. People come here to work out and have a great experience without being jammed packed like those $10 gyms. You get what you pay for and Mountainside is worth every penny.

I've been coming here for a few months now and LOVE IT! The absolute best part is the childcare they offer. My kids love it so much I've been motivated to come to the gym twice some days of the week. My six year old wants to come EVERYDAY after school, my 3 year old loves coming here (he met some resistance the first few times but quickly got over that). As a mom I find time to myself hard to find. This gym has become a place for me to "get a break" from the little ones while they have a blast. I have more energy when I work out so my kids are benefiting all the way around! Best investment ever!

The childcare at Mountainside is amazing. I recently got a membership after a not so good experience at my old gym. All of the girls are great especially Aspen. My kids are always so excited to see her! The whole experience really makes it feel like we are welcome. It is always nice to know my children are welcomed and loved. My family and I will definitely come back.

Mountainside gym in Surprise is a clean, well run gym with friendly staff and a wide variety of classes and equipment to access. The best part of this gym, for me, is my personal trainer, Troy. Troy has helped me to achieve my fitness goals and has taught me how to maintain those results! He makes me accountable without judgement and adapts the workouts easily to whatever limitations this 66 year old woman requires! I look forward to my workout sessions with Troy and. Grateful to him!!!!

I love this gym! Clean, friendly staff, lots of equipment. I especially love my trainer Troy. I started working with him in August and through our in-person workouts (and workouts he texts me for the other days of the week) I've gotten stronger and more fit than I have been in quite a while. He's great at designing a program to help you reach your goals, and just when you think it might start to get easy, he changes it so you continue to be challenged, and get stronger. I've seen him work with young athletes, and 'active agers' who want to stay healthy into their retirement. He customizes his workouts for each client -- no cookie-cutter approach here. If you need a coach who pushes you, challenges you, but also recognizes when it's time to dial it back a bit, Troy is your guy!

I recently joined Mountainside fitness after working out in my home gym for many years. I’ve been very pleased with the experience. The staff are very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The variety of workout equipment and the classes are amazing!

We love the childcare at Mountainside! This is the number one reason we belong to this gym. The ladies that work in the childcare area treat our kiddos like their own and I’m never uncomfortable leaving them while I workout. It’s clean and friendly, and the staff is very caring.

Choosing a gym is no small feat. There's a plethora of options in the West Valley and not all are equal. We've really enjoyed the perks and amenities (childcare, classes, equipment variety, recovery chair, etc) available at Mountainside. You're getting your value here for sure. The staff is kind, attentive, and the facilities are clean and well maintained.

I absolutely love our Mountainside Fitness in Surprise, especially the childcare! My daughter is VERY shy but the employees make her feel so comfortable and loved. Monique, Makayla, and Carolina are absolute gems, and I hope they stick around for a long time! They take care of my little girl as one of their own. They respond to certain requests I have, at times, and turn her sometimes cranky morning self, into a sweet happy girl again, once I pick her up! The give her extra cuddles on the tough days, and laugh and play with her on her best days. The childcare area is always clean and safe for the kiddos. This is THE BEST gym childcare staff, hands down! Thank you ladies for all you do!!!!

Such a great experience! Staff is so friendly a helpful. It’s the cleanest gym I’ve ever been to which is so important to me. They have delicious smoothies if you haven’t tried them please do so you won’t regret it! The classes they offer are so fun and they leave you feeling so good about yourself.

The childcare facility at Mountainside in Surprise sold me on a membership! The staff are welcoming, kind and patient. It is so nice to be able to work out without worrying about the safety or care of my children. My kids request to go to the gym because they love it so much!

Starting from the first step inside there is staff waiting and willing to help! I’ve been coming to Mountainside Fitness for approximately 15 years. I am not a gym rat. I have limited mobility. I can’t raise my hands above my head and am without my right leg. Having a place to come with a variety of people actually helps motivate me. Now I come once or twice a week - see a trainer one of those days which encourages me to keep coming!! Equipment is always clean and in good condition. Try it and make a new friend(s).

Very nice gym, pretty much has everything you want and need for a gym. The people who work here are amazing and always do you right. Personally this is the best gym in surprise and never not to busy.

I've been working with Troy S. for 8 months now and it is probably the most fit I've ever been in my life. Troy makes the time fly by. He has figured out the way to make working out fun. The entire staff has been fantastic in taking away the nervousness of being a novice in the gym. Would recommend to anyone.

The childcare at Mountainside is phenomenal. All of the girls are great with our 9 month old son, he’s always so excited to see them all! They really make us feel like family and give us the peace of mind that our son is getting the best care while we get our workouts in. The facility itself is set up very well, we never have issues getting use of the equipment we need, and always lots of cardio options. Our family will continue coming to Mountainside for years to come.

I absolutely love the childcare here! It’s roomy clean and every one of the staff is very friendly and good to my boys. The bests part is almost every month they have a themed party on a Friday or Saturday where you pay a small fee for the first child and a discounted fee for additional siblings! The kids get dropped off and they play and have activities for them in an environment they know and you trust for 4 hours while you run errands, clean the house, or some alone time!!! My husband and I did this and our 2 year old had a great time and mom and dad got some alone time which is very difficult for us to come by with 5 kids total lol. I’ve never seen a gym offer this to their members and I’m really thankful they do! Thank you ladies for always being so kind and good to my boys!

My son and myself we got membership here about a year ago. It’s always clean and run by friendly staff . We recently canceled because my son wanted another fitness club only because they have a pool . However if you look for a great gym club with best cardio machines . This one is 💯the best in Surprise area, you and you won’t be disappointed .

Was looking for a new gym, came here after a friend recommended. So glad I did! Rebekah at the front desk was so helpful! It’s a big, nicely laid out space. & super clean. All staff was friendly & I felt comfortable, immediately. Rebekah even makes delicious shakes! Definitely recommend Mountainside Fitness!

Great gym, always clean, great members and staff. Have always been impressed with all of the variety of equipment and workout options that this gym has!!

Update: I called in and spoke to Jamie and she was able to resolve my concerns around cancellation. Turns out you’re able to cancel via email as well. Happy new member here. +1 for the positive customer care. Went into this gym to see about getting a month to month membership. 48 dollars a month for no commitment? Sure let’s do it. Staff member I was working with let me know I would still be charged an annual fee which felt odd given I’d already be paying a premium for the month to month membership. I said fine and continued on until the I found out you cannot cancel your membership unless you are in person and a manager is on site. Manager came over and let me know I could also cancel by printing and mailing in via certified mail 🤦🏾‍♂️ Anyways I said no thanks and got up from the table before signing the remainder my agreement. Be wary of gyms that try and lock you into a contract that’s difficult to get out of. Just want to be clear that I would have loved to work out here again but need a bit of flexibility (hence the month to month contract) and this place simply couldn’t accommodate it. Pretty disappointing.

Personally not a member of this gym but upon looking for a new gym membership + childcare after I’ve asked around I recently found out one of my closest friends child was neglected while in care, on top of upon unfair & horrid treatment they continued to charge her for a membership even though they did not allow her on the premises to do so. Word spreads. Don’t use this gym/childcare if you don’t want your kid coming back with scratches & being charged for a membership they don’t allow you to use.

This business is extremely shady. I cancelled via certified mail as requested and they never cancelled my membership. I was charged once more, so I emailed and contacted them via their “contact us” section on the website. Never received any kind of response so I removed my payment info as to not get charged again. Instead, they decided to dig up my ex wife’s credit card and begin charging her UNAUTHORIZED. My ex wife proceeded to cancel in person where she was told it was my account and I had to cancel (she thought she was being charged for her old cancelled account). The lady who worked with her told her to call me, which she did, and proceeded to tell me I had to Zelle my ex wife the money for a membership I cancelled and refused to cancel it unless I transferred my ex wife money. Then she told me if I did any kind of charge back she would restart my account and continue to charge me again. I tried to contact Mountainside via messenger since their corporate office clearly doesn’t want to respond to customers, and still nothing. They are shady, greedy people and you are a number nothing more. The WORST customer service I have ever seen.

Signed up for a 6 month, finished my 6 month contract left town for work now they’re calling me telling me I owe them $160 because it automatically renews which was never mentioned to me when starting the contract. They took out an annual $60 fee in the middle of my contract and they raised the price $5 a month in the middle of my plan as well. The $60 annual fee I was aware of which is fine but then raising my plan $5 more out of no where isn’t right. The Sauna was out of service half the time as well.

Or family have been going to Mountain for awhile now. We give the staff a 4 star. The Gym need some improvement. The smell is awful(smells like a football locker room), and the gym needs daily maintenance. All the other gyms we’ve gone to have a welcoming clean smell and you see someone cleaning and mopping. No matter what time of the day you go. I’ve never seen anyone clean but fold towels. The Gym has a lot of people videoing and playing on phone which can be frustrating when needing the equipment to complete your workout. Tanning is okay but not sure the maintenance this area either or change out the bulbs.
