The christown mall in Phoenix was a very clean place and well organized. It was easy to find the stores I was looking for as they had maps at all the entrances as well as certain other places inside the mall. I really enjoyed the smell of the different burger places they had near the entrances as well as the integrated entrance to Walmart which didn’t require me to go outside to enter Walmart.

Not your most modern shopping mall, but it works. I believe there are planning to tear it down. Lots of fast food right in the immediate area. Lots of homeless persons to go with it, unfortunately. I feed them when I can. :)

Great place to go walking indoors to avoid the heat. With the walmart and the American furniture warehouse and long corridors indoors.

Not much here after Costco left. I really miss their Food Court and if I want to satisfy my craving it's gonna be a trip to East Phx at 44th St & Thomas. 🙁 Btw, Bath & Bodyworks also moved over North of Target on the exterior stores. Very nice and roomy plus Ulta is right next door!

Once Upon a Time this was a staple in the valley but that is no longer the case. I want to blame the light rail for bringing all the Fringe of society to the Christown mall. There are a few gems at this location like Ono Hawaiian BBQ and a crunchy crispy chicken inside the Walmart. The owners of the mall need to step up their game and make this mall safer too many homeless and people with mental disorders roaming around the parking lots.

A shell of it's self. It is really bad now. I wouldn't even call this a mall. Even if going shopping, parking is really inconvenient. The place is crawling with homeless and sketchy people. Would not recommend.

Pretty quiet, not too much people. It’s kinda hot inside. It’s a peaceful mall.

With the loss of Costco takes away some. Still have Walmart at one and Target at the other end. Ross and Pet smart in between. They still have most anything you'd would want here. I live on the eastside of town and still go here at time to shop.

This mall was amazing when I was a teenager it was the place to be on the weekends. Today it is still a vibrant and fun place to visit they have food trucks on some days as well as live music there's a brand new place to get wings and a new taco place also American furniture store I love going there with my granddaughter

This little mall still amazes me. After so many decades it is still successful in bringing customers in. I've been coming to this mall since I was young and it really hasn't changed all that much aside from different stores coming and going. I really like the changes I've seen here and I'm really happy to see that there American Furniture Warehouse has taken over the spot where Costco once was.

It's was very nice, I went to America Best, Contacts & Lens, took a Trip to Ross's, Plus a little trip to PetSmart just looking at the baby Bungie parakeets, They are cute, plus looking at the Kong Chew toys cuz my service dog is a puppy still, Beta Fish. I like this Christown Spectrum, I Hope & Pray That They don't Tear This Mall Down Either.

It was refreshing that this Target was open when I needed to buy basic stuff because my airline had lost my bag. Most stores were closed but this was open and the staff were helpful because I was shopping in a hurry with an uber waiting for me.

I haven't been to this mall in awhile and was surprised how nice it was. My daughter and I went to the ulta and then got food. Very enjoyable experience. I will definitely be back.( parking is a little inconvenient but it is a mall.)

Since opening just down the street from me in 1961 I went to Christown a whole bunch. The kids liked Chris everyone knew him and he shared more than just friendly conversation. He was the first and now the biggest thing to ever enter my life. Do you know that at only four or five years old I not only knew personally a farm guy but this guy was getting the very biggest shopping center in the whole wide world named after him and I knew him. He was my friend. And he thought us something bout conservation (I found that way ahead of it's time) and I learned so much how to be sure to check the facts. On everything.

Is there is a good place to do your shopping, but I wouldn’t recommend it because there’s a lot of homeless people around there hanging out and things like that. I’d rather recommend something else because this mall has gotten run down due to all the homeless people hang around there. It is not a safe place to be. Especially when you’re shopping.

I loved this mall with it's arching roof and food court murals. It was very clean and the food choices, althoug limited to 3 restaurants inside, was very good quality. I'f you've never tried the pizza pretzel, The pretzel booth also has slushie lemonade and slushie strawberry lemonade that was divine!. You've got to try one. There are colorful coin opperated rides, mutliple gumball and candy stations through out the one story indoor mall. The waterfountains are automated. They turn on when you stand infront of them. The bathrooms were also automated. You can get your hair cut here and get a fantastic foot massage. Walmart has a direct entreranc to the mall that is open once again. Harkin Theater is not connected directly to the all and nither is the Target and all the outside stores facing west do not have mall enterances. It was very clean and classy looking. Totally worth exploring.

Apparently motorcycles can no longer park on the entrance ways at christown now. If the area would put in motorcycle parking only id feel better about that and if there were cameras looking at those spots but... Hey who am I.

  • 4/5 John P. 1 year ago on Google
Still hanging on by a couple of threads- Walmart, Harkins a barber shop and a couple of restaurants in the mall. Target, Ross and a few others are keeping traffic flowing for outdoor shopping, but it's a nice shopping center and conveniently located. It needs more stable, popular stores and shoppers. Hopefully, things will get it moving again.

A very beautiful mall a lot of interesting stories I've never heard of and the people around have very good vibes and I felt real comfortable and safe there without any judgment.

Management likes it Wild, Inside the mall. Lots of unsupervised kids. Join the party, kids on the loose, running, jumping up and down, screaming, and yelling. The party gets going when a group of kids forms. Join the party or get out of the way of the skateboarders and bikers making wild turn skidding. Apparently, management has tied security guards' hands behind their backs. In many different ways, They will tell you that kids will be kids. What is sad, this party atmosphere of kids has gone wild and is not allowed at other malls. I will leave with this final thought I miss Costco.

I've only been to this Walmart in AZ, so far it's the best. Visiting from Las Vegas. Great customer service when you first walk in door; big pretty smile from the employees at door. Thank you ladies, y'all made me feel very welcome. And I also got a "Have a nice day" as I exited the store. Thanks ladies 😃

I used to live within 3 miles of here. Just take the bus or light rail. Good memories of eating pizza, checking out pets at PetSmart. I became closer to a friend who liked animals which was unexpected and nice. A lot of really cheap shops in a good area too. Everything is close to everything. Winxwin. It's been years but intending to come again someday! 😁

This is a place that is holding on. I think the people keep it going. Nostalgia? Perhaps, so why not take a little stroll and feel it's aura for yourself. I'd give it 4 stars but I wrote this and memories upped it 1 star more.

Loved It!!!!! Kids had fun in the kids corner with Frozen (elsa) and everyone in costumes and the Man on top of the big red ball was entertaining to watch! Fotos with Santa and the kids were awesome as well, and we got some Christmas Shopping Done. Afterward we enjoyed snacks at Neveria Chavellas. Overall fun for the entire family! Great experience and loving memories we will cherish!

Beautiful Mall Great selection of stores. BUT Dollar store wouldn't let me enter without bending over my backpack and the same thing with the Walmart! I understand the blue heads (Fentanyl heads) ruin it for the rest of us

This place is really scary with the amount of homeless people hanging out around the mall! I've heard the Target store in the center has one of the largest shoplifting episodes of any store in the area

Christown mall is the mall that keeps on... existing? I grew up around the area, I e seen this mall go from dumpy little shopping center to a powerhouse of big stores, to what is is now, which is actually still better than whar it was in it's early and late 00's. And far better than some other malls that are now defunct. All in all, this mall continues to thrive in a world that is increasingly hostile towards in person shopping. There is a variety of stores that have been around for decades, and new faces. It's a staple that may just remain longer than the other malls around it. Not too big, not too small, and plenty of parking.

  • 3/5 Jon M. 7 months ago on Google
Ok, place, a little on the small side. If you the store you need is here, it's a good place to go since it's not crowded.

Product quality has gone downhill, employees are rude, regardless of where you shop. It's rare to find anyone who actually works, or wants to be helpful.

This place is so huge a full of businesses that you better wear your comfy shoes when come in shopping, of course you will end with a few more pair of shoeses for sure. Tons of entertraitment for all the family and alone also ;)

I love Christown Spectrum Mall. Being a Native from Phoenix Arizona. I've been shopping at Christown Mall for many years. The Dollar Tree has met my many needs, with food prices so high. I can get so many different types of food. And even sweets and ice cream. Target and Walmart offer lots of things that I like. Thanks staff at dollar tree. I am happy the Mall is still open. YAAASSSS! 💋🙏🏼❤️

Really cool to have several of my favorite retailers all connected to each other and they are all nice and clean. The Target located here is the biggest one I've ever seen, even bigger than a Super Target.

They have done alot of renovations to make this mall, newer and clean cut The harkins is not inside the mall though, rather it is behind on the South side of the plaza

  • 2/5 Aja L. 2 years ago on Google
Nice if you are in the area but I wouldn't call it a mall. The movies are nice here and not too busy. Never get your nails here cause the wait time is long although they do a pretty great job. The shops are more like for convenience than a real mall. Walmart. Target and dollar store. Some good food tho.

  • 5/5 Juan Andres G. 1 year ago on Google

  • 3/5 Heather B. 1 year ago on Google
This mall has been around for as long as I can remember.... I definitely thought that Christown AKA Phoenix Spectrum mall would have been one of the 1st to go but it sure is hanging in there. A very thin string is what it hangs on to though. The atmosphere is very lonely and not very inviting. I'm pretty sure the Walmart is the only reason why Christown is still open. Very generic stores, no food court and lots of empty stores..... That being said, I visit this mall on a very frequent weekly basis. Everything I need is here so I only have to drive once and I'll get everything I need. You got your Walmart, Target, Dollar Tree, Ulta Beauty, GameStop, Super cut and I have got my hair cut here numerous times, Famous Footwear, Big 5, America's Best, 2 banks, Walgreens, Ross and Foot Locker among many more.... Outside, but in the same parking lot you also have Taco Bell, KFC, Carl's Jr and an All You Can Eat Buffet but I can't for the life of me remember it's name, Olive Garden, Phoenix Public Library and a big Park. For the most part it's an ok experience but it's in a not so good part of Phoenix so there is always something going on at any point of time. Lots of homeless and most of the stores struggle with high volumes of theft from the time they open till close. I used to work at this mall not to long ago and it's not a very safe establishment. But all the bad aside, as long as I mind my own business and go with the flow of traffic, I always make it home with no problems. Been hittin up Christown since I was a kid and now my grown kids are there all the time, I don't see this mall closing any time soon.

Better than the area around the now-closed Metro Center area.. Wal-Mart would be smart to turn on the AC during the summer. There was little difference in temperatures outside vs inside last night and people were fanning themselves and literally sweating while shopping.

I love shopping at the Costco in the Christown Spectrum Mall. I love this Costco! It's a little far for me but it has everything I need. Avondale Costco is closer but doesn't carry a lot of items I buy. And didn't like the first experience I had there! I will continue to drive to the Christown Costco!!!! I am bummed to hear they are permanently closing it!!! I wish they didn't or open another Costco in Laveen!!! We need one here!! I hope the company sees this comment and considers opening one in Laveen!!! ?❤

Costco and JCPenney have closed but there are still some good deals you can find here, and a small food court that has delicious food. There are shoe stores, teen stores, health foods supplements, jewelry, phones, sporting goods and much more that are reasonably priced without having to drive too far to a bigger Mall. Fun to take the kids on the little Merry-Go-Round inside and shop around with your teenagers because they can't go too far! Support your local malls😊
