A fantastic local find! We stopped by for their happy hour and sat out on their covered patio. Pork belly taco was definitely worth the hype! Everything was incredibly flavorful and creatively spun. Can’t wait to return and try more of their menu!

Place is absolutely delicious. The chips and salsa are god tier. We got some wings, the elote, and tried all the tacos. This is a must. The tortillas are like naan. It's incredible

In one word... eclectic. The food has classics with serious twists and the freshest ingredients. I ordered the Naco Torta and the flavors and lightness surprised me. I had two eggs over easy on the carne asada. The guacamole spread, cheese and spices made this, hands down, the best of Phoenix. Service... Outstanding,...... atmosphere artsy, homey, and nuevo. I will be back soon. ❤️

I love this place! Once in awhile I come for the flapjacks but I mainly come for the tacos during happy hour. The carne asada tacos are delicious but the star of the show are the pork belly tacos! You won’t regret ordering them. Servers are always kind and helpful. You can sit inside or there is an area toward the back to eat outdoors.

Lovely Sunday brunch here! We got coffee drinks at the cafe first (ordered separately from meal at the table bc coffee selection is different), then dined on the patio. There was live music towards front of restaurant. Service is slower, so this is a place you come and enjoy a longer meal with friends—not a place to come if you’re in a rush for food. The food was delicious though! We all ordered different things, and no one was disappointed. I also got an orange/citrus concha (Mexican sweet bread) from the cafe bakery to go for later and it was a nice and different take on a concha that I enjoyed.

I saw a review saying that if you were a Mexico City foodie to come to this place, I swear to god this is a rip off of Polanco, La Condesa, and Roma Norte. Those places that over charge and butcher Mexican cuisine. Disappointed 10/10 The aesthetic, is as mentioned like a colonia in CDMX that has been gentrified and you see transplants from the US because it’s cool, hip and not to mention cheaper to live in Mexico. My baby boo got the chilaquiles and I thought “who hurt you?” At first I wanted to tell the waitress my bae ordered Chilaquiles, not tostadas. If it’s not broke don’t fix it, also sorry but changing the appearance doesn’t mask the subpar taste. 2/10 please leave chilaquiles alone. I ordered the cajeta pancakes, I probably have diabetes. 4/10, they were good but eh, not something I will seek out. Otro café is indeed otro café. Come here if you want Instagram pictures.

Stopped here after arriving in Phoenix for our first meal on vacation and were so delighted. The guacamole has a kick - and with fresh veggies was absolutely fantastic. The shrimp ceviche and shrimp tacos were fresh and perfectly spicy. The margaritas were perfect - both the regular and spicy. After visiting several restaurants this week, Otro Cafe is at the top of our list of favorites.

New to Arizona & this was my first time here! We loved it - local, welcoming & great service. Food was great. We didn't get any drinks - but they have a big variety. My jasmine teapot was everything!! The artwork, plants, natural light, calm/open vibe & bilingual menus - all of this made the experience. Definitely go back & bring more friends

We had lunch here with a friend and the food, service, and atmosphere are really nice. Otro is located in a small strip mall so the parking up front is pretty limited. There’s additional parking in the back. Casual eatery serving Mexican dishes that are made with fresh, quality ingredients. Everything we had was expertly prepared and tasted really good. We had a pork belly burger that was insanely good. The pork belly was tender and moist with a sweet and smoky BBQ flavor on top of a grass fed beef patty with avocado. It was served with potato wedges that were to die for. The potato wedges were fluffy on the inside and super crispy on the outside. I could eat them every day. My husband never finishes his meal and he cleaned his plate completely and has been talking about that burger every day since our visit. It was REALLY good. I had their version of the French dip sandwich. It was also unbelievably good. The meat was so tender and flavorful and the au jus served on the side was rich and flavorful as well. I took half of my sandwich home and reheated it later and it was just as good as when it was fresh. My friend had the shrimp ceviche…her absolute favorite dish served at Otro. It is fresh, bright, and flavorful with fresh, crisp vegetables and plenty of shrimp. I’m definitely going to try that on my next visit. Otro serves breakfast, lunch, and light dinner dishes with plenty of options. The service was also very good. Our server was pleasant and attentive. She checked on us regularly and kept our drinks topped off. She was wonderful!

First time here. Let me tell you its delicious. We order the chilaquiles con pollo and it had green sauce and red sauce. It was soooooo good, highly recommend. We also order a breakfast burrito, the presentation wasn't a wow factor but the taste was amazing. I order an horchata, it was delicious. To top it off we order a flan and it has been one of the best flavored Flan we have eaten. Highly recommend Otro cafe.

One of the best Mexican food restaurants in Phoenix. Their asada is so flavorful and their fries are to die for. I got asada tacos and my husband got the asada burger and did not stop talking about it for the rest of the day! We also had an Arnold Palmer which was very yummy. Great staff as well, very attentive. Atmosphere was loud and busy but not too distracting.

Been eyeing this place for a minute now and I got to try it today and I'm sad I didn't come in sooner. I absolutely loved my meal here. Chips and salsa were great, with a nice crunch that crunches back with each bite. For my entree I went with the barbacoa and eggs. It was so flavorful, I loved it. The rest of my party also enjoyed their food and I got to try bits of it too and was on par with flavor and deliciousness. Service was great and pleasantly surprised with how quick they got our food out to us. Was here on a Thursday about 1130am with not too people but by the time we were leaving it was quite busy, just so you know. Definitely a must come back to try other menu items as everything here sounds so yummy.

Caught happy hour Friday evening until 6 with my husband and enjoyed $5 margaritas and $2 off all signature cocktail. Also enjoyed shrimp, fish (both included in happy hour special for $1 off) and fried oyster mushroom which was by far our favorite! So good! This was on the chefs choice list so I'd get there to check it out it was only $5!

Chose this place on a whim and turned out to be amazing. There is a coffee bar on the left side of the restaurant for you to wait until your table is ready. I definitely want to go back and try out what they offer for lunch.

The food was pretty tasty. The presentation of the food definitely makes it appealing. As for the service maybe it was an off day because it was really slow. We waited in the coffee shop for awhile waiting for a seat the one worker never came to ask what we wanted even though he serviced people all around us. Once we got seated the server seemed too busy to connect. All is all I would go back to try some lunch items and hopefully it won’t be as busy. Total side note the Flan was firm and not too eggy…. It was good.

Love this place. First time visit on a Sunday morning and it was hoppin'! We were lucky enough to snag two seats at the bar. The bartender promptly greeted us and took our drink order, and then brought chips and salsa. The cuisine is Mexican with a unique twist, and our meal was great! We had to wait a little to get our check because the bartender was busy with drink orders. Had a line of Bloody Mary's in front of him, so I gave him the due grace since it was so busy. The employees all worked together like a well-oiled machine. It was neat to watch. They have an amazing coffee bar as well. It's worth the visit...I will go again!!

After living in uptown for years, today was my first visit to Otro. Oh my was I pleasantly pleased! The food was out of this world. Everything from the margaritas to the burritos was some of the best Mexican food/drinks I’ve had in the city. To top it off, my server Seth was so nice and helped guide me in my dining selections. Never once did he let my drink go empty. I loved this place and can’t wait to eat here again! :)

  • 5/5 Joe M. 4 years ago on Google
Friendly staff. They accommodated 2 extra people at the last minute. Kids under 10 eat free. Food was temperature hot and delicious. Bloody Mary's are on point. The birthday girl got a free Tres Leches cake slice with a candle to blow out. Ask for Cathy...she knows whats up!

Cozy atmosphere inside with comfortable layout, patio had a cool simple and inviting design, server was attentive and timing was great for everything. Everyone tried each other's food and all of it was fresh and perfectly seasoned. We all loved it, it's definitely at the top of the favorites list for Phoenix.

Love this place! Super cute, great vibes and delicious food! I’ve eaten at this place several times and I’m never disappointed! The service is great and anything you need they accommodate. Prices are super fair for the quality also! Oh and their flapjacks really are the best!

  • 2/5 Jordan C. 4 years ago on Google
I so wanted to like this place. I was really looking forward to trying it but overall it was brunch was a disappointment. The food presentation looks like it would be good but after one bite it's apparant that they rely heavily on the sauce to deliver the flavor. Every component of each dish was unbelievably bland and they tried to salvage it by smothering it in sauce.

  • 5/5 Curtis B. 3 years ago on Google
Had the breakfast nachos it was kind of like tostada Style but so damn good the green sauce with amazing ask for extra spicy salsa to add to it they brought it no problem would recommend this place to anybody that likes good food

Normally I'd give this restaurant a five for their food & service but today I saw someone standing on the bar where drinks are prepared and served. With everything going on with COVID-19, I do not think this is a very safe practice. A simple ladder would solve this issue. I love this restaurant and I hope they correct this.

We've been wanting to try Otro Cafe for several months but it is not really that close to where we live. Tonight we ventured out in rush hour traffic to have dinner there. We were seated right away and served in short order. The food really is unique. Besides our main courses of fish tacos and shrimp burrito we ordered the mixed vegetable bowl. That was a very pleasant mix of root veggies, broccoli, and poblano peppers cooked to perfection. A couple of tap beers was the perfect accompaniment.

Got takeout here a week ago. Food tasted amazing and wasn't too expensive, vibe inside seems great, and service was reasonably fast and friendly. I appreciate the steps they're taking to lessen their environmental impact (compostable boxes, avoiding straws, etc.) Would recommend!

  • 5/5 Mark G. 3 years ago on Google
This place is great. Not very expensive and really good brunch. I've had their dinner as well and it was decent. More of a brunch place in my opinion. Sort of southwest/Mexican themed. Before covid, they had live music on Sundays. Nice atmosphere and food. Recommend.

  • 5/5 Lindsay C. 3 years ago on Google
The food and service was wonderful! They did a great job at making me feel comfortable dining in a restaurant setting, committing to new covid safety standards. My friend and I were seated out in their really nice patio. We both ordered the mixed cocktail with gin, it was delicious!! We both ate the vegan pozole, delicious!! I ordered a second drink and asked the waitress to have the bartender make me a surprise mixed drink with gin, the bartender nailed it! I took a couple sips but realized I should not drink the whole thing, they make stiff cocktails. But I would have drank it, if, I wasn't driving. I look forward to going back ASAP!

  • 5/5 Brittany C. 3 years ago on Google
I just love this place! Their burritos, their flapjacks, the iced toddys! So amazing! Wish hours started earlier so we could catch for breakfast, but I'll take this breakfast for dinner any day. Staff always so nice and personable. Great environment. Can't say enough good things!

  • 5/5 Steff K. 3 years ago on Google
Great atmosphere. Modern, comfortable and a patio. The first good thing you will experience is the smell of the grill. The food is distinctive. The guacamole..fresh made to order is sooooo good!! I would highly recommend this awesome restaurant.

  • 4/5 Lawn G. 3 years ago on Google
The food here is the best in Arizona. The service is also incredible, and some of staff has been here for years which means that they are treated well by management. I recommend eating here for breakfast, lunch or dinner, and after going through the entire menu, there is nothing I wouldn't eat again from pancakes to tacos. This review would be five stars if kids still ate for free. They took advantage of the COVID pandemic to roll out a new kids menu with steep prices.

This used to be the place to get Mexican food in North Central phoenix but times have changed. They used to have a great cheese dip, Gone. Chicken Mole, Gone. Not to mention the absolute lack of climate control in this joint it is either the desert or Antarctica. But if you don't remember what used to be this is a great little restaurant, just remember to bring a jacket or swamp cooler.

This was a great find! We ordered the family pack of carne asada tacos. The tortillas were homemade and delicious. The carne asada was a little salty but the salsa verde was a nice complement. We added a squeeze of lime and avocado that we had on hand, and it hit the spot. It included plenty of food for 4 meals (my husband and I eat a lot!)

This is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Phoenix. I don’t normally go for flour tortillas, but theirs are the best and are 100% homemade! My favorite taco is their pork belly, a little crispy on the edges and the flavor is out of this world. Brunch, happy hour, or dinner - this place had everything covered!

  • 5/5 ALEX F. 2 years ago on Google
Very tasty menu for a early breakfast treat the Barbacoa and eggs was on point my son had the huevos Ranchero and eat every bit of it! So this place is so amazing. Foods from scratch all the time. They use local farms for not only produce but meats as well. They serve dishes oozing of flavor and presentation. Once you eat here you will keep coming back over and over!! And over!! OH don't forget the flapjack you'll wonder why they only serve one at a time....Let me know and get peanut butter with it....scrumpdelious!!

I am so happy they are back open for brunch. Their pancakes are my favorite in Phoenix. The la familia taco plate is a great value you get to select two meats and it comes with 6 tortillas. The thick cut fries are very delicious. We all really enjoyed our meals. We waited 25-30 min on a Sunday around 12:15. Had a young man training as a server and he did an excellent job.

  • 5/5 Charles G. 2 years ago on Google
An absolute favorite for all Mexico City inspired foodies. Delicious in every way. The waiter was super lame and rude but I am sure he will be moving onto a CEO role somewhere.

  • 3/5 McCallion S. 2 years ago on Google
Outstanding food - but be careful at coming during brunch. We came the same time a table of 20 or so started getting seated. Our food took abnormally long, and our server was preoccupied. That being said - our server may not have had much experience, and even if they had - it would’ve been a tough day to be serving. We had the family size tacos beef and chicken - BOTH were CRAZY good. The homemade tortillas were the icing on our taco cakes. We were only a party of 3, and we still ended up ordering more tortillas, so if you’re a larger family/group keep that in mind - you may need to order extra. WORTH IT!!!

The place was packed on a Saturday morning. Wait time 30 minutes, parking is also scarce but you can park by the auto parts store. Chilaquiles were different, served totasda style. I had the 'xmas' red and green. Not spicy at all so its safe for the non-spicy peeps out there. Heder out waiter was phenomenal and would go back just to be served by him. 💜 Food server was courteous. We sat on the patio and were attacked by flies. It was a nice patio and lots of room. I would try it again but not on the patio. The breakfast burrito looks delicious, I'll try that next time. Mimosas were good. The place is worth a try.

Katie & Sue Haley, we’re awesome. I have eaten here a few times now. My posole was OK, although fresh, it wasn’t very tasty even after I added some of their homemade sauces that were delicious. My girlfriends salad was top notch, crisp, and flavorful. this place was clean and had a good vibe. I WOULD RECOMMEND

We were in the Uptown Farmers Market and decided to stop by Otro Café. Food server was courteous and very knowledgeable about the menu. The enchiladas were awesome. Queso Fundido was a little salty to my taste. This place is worth a try!

Ok, I can't rave about this place enough. Best place ever. I have had their barbacoa dish, pozole, and pancakes 🥞. Not all together, but if I could eat all that at once, I would 😋 . I don't know what they do, but their coffee is so creamy and smooth.

Today we went to the Uptown Farmers Market and I told my kids to find a restaurant for brunch in the area. My son thought he'd gone to Otro Café once with a friend so we picked there. Turns out he'd never been there but it was a great choice! I loved it! The restaurant side was full so we got to seat in the Café side but it was great! The staff was so friendly, the food was amazing, and I loved the Serrano aioli. I'll definitely be returning here again!

You know how sometimes when you get really hungry and you want something new and different. So I chose Otro Cafe I had a taste for a bean and cheese burrito. I placed an order on the phone it was ready in about 15 minutes. Probably the best bean burrito I've ever had it looked as though it had been grilled well done. I'm okay with that it tasted amazing. The only problem with the tortilla being grilled it opened up while I was eating it. It still tasted quite amazing I was still okay with that too. The burrito came with a smoking red sauce and the green tomatillo sauce. They were both very complimentary. I plan on going back and trying more things on the menu.

Excellent food, excellent service, great value. Where else can you get enchiladas and flapjacks for dinner? I ordered fish tacos, a chicken burrito, and iced green tea.....all excellent. My partner ordered flapjacks, enchiladas, and a margarita. (We were very hungry, having just been backpacking for a week). All meals were excellent, drinks were excellent. We ended up with togo boxes
