My boyfriend & I 💖💞💗 this place!! Yucca Tap Room has been around for 40 years & it's better than ever. Now they created Electric Bat Arcade, open til 2am, which is a separate room(s) of pinball machines & arcade games (new ones come in often)! The games are kept in excellent condition. Electric Bat takes tokens & each token is the chance to win a free beer! They also have another bar on the other side of the main room, where the stage is, that has a pool table & some comfy booths & yummy food! It's the perfect date night!

As a frequenting patron I will always brave the scary parking lot for Brandon's loving service with my gin+soda, and the tofu tacos. I especially order if I know Georgie is working, I have NEVER had such terrific tofu tacos, she really takes care of me. 🥰💕

This place is BS 1st time and last I had 3 Heinekens and after I finished last I was told to leave and forfeit my keys wasn’t told why I refused to give keys and was told they are calling police np since wasn’t drunk. I believe it was racial profiling because I’m not 100% white I was only minority there. BEWARE

Went to the Yucca tap room on a first date with a geezer I met on Bumble. Atmosphere at Yucca was chill and inviting. Played a couple of pinball games and smoked some BritishFags on the patio. Unfortunately, my date is addicted to gambling and spent the evening and all his funds on scratch offs, you can purchase at the bar, he didn’t win anything and spent all his cash! However, he did throw down the credit card at the end of the night to pay for my 9 coor’s lights (I can knock them back). I think my heavy consuming coupled with my double D’s scared him off, which is no skin off my back! We went our separate ways that night, but I returned to Yucca at 6am, sipping on a bloody while hunting for a husband, who can tame these wild ovaries 😜 Bar service was great both times I was there. Friendly and attentive, unlike one bloke I had my eye on at the end of the bar!

So I just hit up this place called Yucca Tap Room in Tempe, and holy molar, it's like they read my mind or something! You walk in, and bam, there's this crazy arcade on one side, like all these super rad retro games. Super fun! On the other side, there's this stage where bands rock out like there's no tomorrow. The vibes were unreal, man. And don't even get me started on the drinks... they've got everything, cocktails to tons of the coolest craft beers. The people there are like the friendliest ever. They're all about making sure you're having a blast. Plus, the whole place just feels like a party waiting to happen...no snooty vibes, just good times. No joke, put this on your party list ASAP! 🎮🎸🍻

If I lived here this would be one of my regular hangs. I love live music, it's fun, it's dive I'm down. Excited about one of the artists I heard and met the other night. He's coming to my town at the end of May.. how cool I'm stoked I get to see him again!

Let me start by saying I am vaccinated... But I am rather disappointed that you can go into the pool room or go touch the 30 something pinball machines without a vaccine, but can't go into the main room today (this wasn't the case last Tuesday when I was here) without one. Since I am vaxxed I wanted to go see how "crowded" it was to try to get some sort of understanding as to why this would be the case, but the less than 20 people in the room really threw me off. I come here for Electric Bat as a big pinball fan, but this has been a huge turn off.

Great stop! Staff very friendly at the Yucca Tap Room. Attached is the Electric Bat Arcade which was our main goal for stopping. Great selection of pinball machines in three different sections/rooms. Our group had a great time playing while enjoying a few drinks.

It's a lot bigger then it looks on the outside! Great prices and friendly staff. Not a bad little place. This place has a good vibe. Looks like they do live shows here as well. I was shocked to see it as busy as it was on a Sunday around noon. There wasn't any games going on just thr regular crowd. So it seems this place is a big hit. I will be returning here. So hope to see you around.

I’m not usually one to post reviews, but had such an appalling experience that I had to share. We had come to the Yucca Tap Room to play some pinball later at night. One of the members in our party was denied entry because he had left his ID. Understandable, not a problem. We walked out of the venue after already showing our IDs and gaining entry so that we could talk to the friend that wasn’t allowed in. After a minute or so, we walked back in, or tried to at least. Security said nothing to me, but demanded that my friend showed his ID again. Truthfully, my friend might have been a little snippy or rude in his response, but he was also just checked two minutes ago. The security guard did not like that. So much so that he kicked my friend out and immediately shoved him and put him in a headlock while multiple people around him told him to stop. It was absolutely uncalled for and not how any member of security should be acting. I’m not surprised there are other negative reviews that were left recently about him.

BarFlysportsTV A new YouTube channel visited the Yucca tap room. An interesting bar with numerous rooms and plenty of TVs for sport. This is a popular location for the AZGooners & CopperCityIrons fans. Chantelle looked after us well, and the place was extremely busy. There is a very large carpark also. The ladies toilet/restroom was not great. Follow Saskia for her Sports Bars reviews on youtube.

If you like tacos then your best day to try this place is gonna be on Tuesday. They have $2 tacos and a special taco of the day every week. Next door is the arcade and the weekly pinball tournament that you can join for a buck.

The bartender was terrific, friendly and was welcoming. However, the open-mic night was a nightmare and is not on point at all. The host (who is also running sound) isn't very friendly and didn't radiate a vibe that suggested he was having a good time. We all have bad days, but when in the entertainment industry, we gotta leave those vibes at home. Also, the host should have a real sound engineer to run the board so that he can do his job with alacrity! Maybe process those that come to play, work the mic between players better to work the crowd and share some of his charisma with the patrons (Assuming he's charismatic and was simply not feeling it that night!).

Fun place for a show. One of my favorite spots in Tempe to see bands and meet friends. Long time awesome Venue for great Punk shows But this place gets s packed. Great local bar. Arcade and restaurant attached. I have had a blast every time I have been to Yucca.

The Yucca Tap Room is a classic bar and music venue! This venerable house of music has live music nearly every night of the week. As a small venue you are so close to the stage that it's as if the band is performing in your living room. With multiple bars and bartenders, getting a fresh beer or beverage of your choice, rarely takes long. Finally, if you find the music not to your liking you can always shoot a round of pool or play some pinball at the Electric Bat Arcade.

The Yucca Tap Room! Where do I start! I have the place tattooed on my back! When it comes to local live music I cant imagine there is a place that compares! Not in Tempe anyways. Nevermind the pizza and craft beer they serve in the restaurant. And now the pinball hall! Oooooooh damn!!! Need I say more!

I've spent an embarrassing number of hours at this place over the years. Perfect dive bar atmosphere with a good mix of live shows. The lounge side feels a little more intimate but still divey and always has a killer tap list and bottle selection. There's also an arcade with a third bar. Beautiful place.

This place is great for local shows. It has a good size stage and a good sound system. They also have an arcade full of pinball games.

Many say this is the best dive bar in the valley, and it's hard to argue. Garage bands from all over the valley and the country play here. Check out the mini arcade in the back between shows! Bar staff is first class!

My husband and I ordered fish dinner and were both sick all night and today. This is the first time we ate there. It is a fun place for pinball and drinks.

The main bar smells a bit of piss but the surprise back room was a delight, filled with dozens of pinball machines. After 3 another room has a huge craft beer selection and roomy booths. Would definitely recommend.

Great venue, punk venue. Good sound, phenomenal staff. Really took care of us. They have an arcade area, a show area, and a separate bar area... Not too mention a tiki bar. They open at 6 am. What more do you want? I would come back and play another show any time.

Awesome dive bar vibe with several pinball machines and a few other similar type games. Brings back some nostalgia with machines like The Twilight Zone, Scooby Doo, and Jurasic Park. Bring cash to get coins to use the games, or there's an ATM available because they can not do cash back transactions at the bar. They do local music as well. There's 3 rooms full of options for game play, and it was pretty low-key for a Monday. Though I'm sure weekends can get pretty busy. There was also some sort of league board display on a rotating screen for high scores on each machine, though I didn't get any info on that, but certainly something to look into if that's of interest to you.

This isn't only a bar. It's an old school arcade with like, 50 or more pinball machines.. maybe im exaggerating. But you won't be disappointed.

Great venue, the stage is set up in the corner so the band plays looking at the wall while you sit at the bar. The massive 3 room arcade filled with pin ball and other assorted games. If you buy a bucket of tokens....you might get a token for a .25 cent beer 😉 The menu is small but what they offer more then makes up for it.

Gender equality, musicians, young , old , acoustic guitars , electric guitars , very rock oriented and service is absolutely perfect. I have been a member of the "Metal ,Rock" scene since early teens. I'll attest to the fact that my "people" , my community are , mostly polite, always respectful, helpful and welcoming. We wear black , long hair , short hair , bracelets and hats turned backwards. The women are gorgeous and all sizes and shapes , simply sexy and beautiful. The Yucca Tap Room is all the above , it's always home .

Best bar in the east valley. The food is good, bands that play are good, and this place really supports their community. Cant get much better than that!

One of my favorite spots, good beer/drink selection. Usually something interesting happening (live music, open mic comedy every once in a while, etc). Pinball, plus some rare to find Japanese rhythm games (jubeat and similar).

The security didn’t let me in, he said I had too much to drink and my night was just starting. I will NEVER go back to Yucca and I wouldn’t recommend that you go there either. I’ve been there many times and I will never go back. I hope that whoever reads this review does either 🤷🏻‍♂️

A Tempe staple for live music and that neighborhood tavern feeling

Came here to see a Grady Spencer & the work. Never been to this bar before but damn it was cool. Old school dive bar it reminded me of. I heard this place has been around forever and it’s a time capsule and a cool one at that. I will return very cool spot to have a nice drink.

you can not really go wrong at yucca there's a lot of dead people hanging out also a lot of sad old grumpy people who wish they were dead or just live to piss other people off. it's one of the southwest's very worst dive bars, but it's a NICE dive bar.

First time here. Great staff, great food. Drinks didn't cost a fortune. Amazing arcade with some old school video games. The stage is steps away from the bar, so the bands are right there with you. I actually got to sit next to the headlining band at the bar while the opening acts we're playing. Bring your earplugs though! The sound system was booming...

Back in the days of live music this place had killer punk rock shows in the perfect environment. The right amount of seedy, the right amount of raucous, the right amount of friendly and welcoming. They have an incredible craft beer selection, good food and are attached to the Electric Bat, an epic pinball arcade with well maintained machines. Go there now!

Yucca is a great place to see live show, oftentimes for free. They have cheap drinks so I spent many nights here when I was at ASU. There is an awesome pinball bar connected to one side of the venue and a proper bar and grill on the other.

Nice little place with good food and a nice bartender. The stage needs better lighting but the sound system is surprisingly good. I didn't expect it to sound so good. You really should give this place a try.

I played at the yucca lounge in a band called the "Brothers Who" the owner's name was Peter Who this was in1983-84 and 85 solid .... the first nine months we were there six nights a week .... We played variety but mostly current top 40 Rock I love you Peter who and I love the yucca lounge ?❤️??

The only place to play good pinball these days apparently! Also super cool how it's sectioned out so it never feels too crowded. Good food and decent drink prices to boot!

A popular Neighborhood bar and live Music venue that was established in 1972. Good Music, craft beer, good food and now even a video game arcade. Great place to meet Friends.

Rodney's place is amazing! The staff was super friendly and it seemed like Cheers where there were regulars and the bartenders knew everybody's name. There was even a moment where my friend and I were ordering beers and food from the bar, but this kind gentleman-customer offered his seat so that she and I could sit together at the bar. They have a great selection of beer and a unique take on bar food - a mix of Asian cuisine and the Southwest where the bar owner shares his spin on the melting pot of Arizona we don't often take advantage of. A great place to grab a drink and have a Bao! :)

Live bands on the weekend,bartenders that remember you and a nice crowd just the way a bar should be. I have usually heard rock so if you are going for the music you might want to see who's playing, but if you are into rock its always a good show.

This bar is bigger than it looks. The food is shockingly good for a bar, the music venue is small and offers proximity to the stage, and they have several pinball machine in the back. It can be very noisy, crowded, and difficult to get service during busy times, but that's bar life, and when we were there, the bartender took good care of us when things calmed down a bit and there weren't a hundred people trying to get her attention.

Had a really fun Saturday. Two bands, free ribs. Plus people brought can food to help others less fortunate. What more can you ask for! Oh yeah great service. A cross between neighborhood bar and new people.
